  • How to disable Mozilla yellow strip, reminding us constantly to "update a plugin", which we don't want to update. Details (RE: Flash) below: bobgorg@ymail

Hello, how to disable the long horizontal Mozilla yellow strip, popping up and reminding us constantly to "update a plugin", which we don't want to update.
    Disabling the ones below:
    1/ plugins.update.notify User;true
    2/ plugin.scan.plid.all;true
    3/ dom.ipc.plugins.enabled;false
either does not help or disables completely Flash! What else to do with this ultra annoying "Update plugins" reminder, as we want to keep the older version 10 of Flash? We just do not want Flash v. 11 - it takes huge amount of CPU, while Version 10 works fine for all 'you tube" and "etc"... videos. No need for V.11. (Let us worry about viruses and security) But here it comes the so annoying Mozilla reminder to upgrade to Flash Version 11 - the yellow strip also takes screen space under the address bar. Please help. Very annoying - almost ready to switch to other browsers if this issue is not resolve. Other than that, the Mozilla 14 is great. Congratulations to all designing it. Thanks in advance. Bob

  • Macbook Pro 10.7.2 prints thin yellow stripes on Epson 630 photos

I have a Macbook Pro running 10.7.2 and a USB-connected Epson Workforce 630 printer.  When I print photos or images off the Internet from my MacBook on the Epson, thin horizontal yellow stripes are printing across the images.
If I connect the same printer to a Windows 7 computer and print the same images on it, they print fine from Windows 7.
So the problem isn't the images and the problem isn't the printer.
Is the problem the driver in my MacBook or ?

Yes, I have 2 Macs, a MacBook Pro, and a MacPro, both running 10.6.8, with a Workforce 545 printer. I'm experiencing the same problem. The MacBook has drivers downloaded about 2 months ago, and the MacPro has drivers downloaded within the last few days - so I don't think it is outdated drivers, either. Both are presenting the same yellow lines whenever I try to print anything other than black text.

  • Yellow strip behind hyperlink - how to stop it?

Whenever I rest my cursor on a hyperlink or command box, a little yellow strip shows up behind it. It gives the hyperlink address or computer action.
There are times that this yellow strip is annoying, and I'd like to stop if from appearing. What needs to be done in order to keep this strip from appearaing? Is it the OS, or an application I'm using?
    Thanks!

I believe the 2 level 4 users in link posted to you would of recommend or mentioned this perhaps there is a reason they did not unless this is very new in which case bugs & what not would not be know yet either.

  • HELP!!! Blue/Yellow Strip on screen of 30gb video iPod

I've restored my ipod, started from scratch, installed older versions of itunes,.....but nothing seems to get that blue/yellow strip away.
The weird thing is it only appears on my videos...not on the main menu, photos, even podcasts don't have that strip. The strip is always in the same area of the screen, sometimes only segments of the strip appears and if something is moving in the video, it will flicker as well. Yet the main area is the strip and the colours of the strip fluctuate according to the colour of the video at the time (but it is always either blue and/or yellow)
It started happening (the blue/yellow strip) at the beginning of October. I had updated iTunes to 7.01 and iPod one morning and I remember I dropped my iPod from a height of abt 1m onto the carpet floor. I don't remember what happened first - dropping it or updating it - but that night, the strip was there and it hasn't gone since.
The strip and segments of the strip seem to appear intermittently but most times, it's there whenever i play a video. All my videos are converted using Videora and i tried Xilisoft as well, but the strip was still there.
Like I said before, I've restored it, uninstalled and installed everything but it's still there. An even weirder thing was that I installed iTunes 6.05 thinking it would eliminate the strip. While it did reduce it (segments of the strip popped up from time to time), whenever I connected my iPod to my computer, it would automatically reboot over and over. So I uninstalled it, restored my iPod and currently I have iTunes 7.02 and iPod 1.2. The blue/yellow strip is still there but it's not automatically rebooting anymore.
I'm no good at technology and so i've uploaded a few pictures to illustrate my point

I'm sorry for such a long post but this has been bothering me for a while now and I really want to know what I should do. I'm not sure if I damaged the harddisk when i dropped it but everything apart from my videos are fine. I'm really lost about what to do , so please help.
Your help is very much appreciated!

    Thank you for replying
sigh I was hoping it wouldn't be a harddisk problem but it definitely does seem like the only answer :S
An iPod repair company? Any recommendations? I'm not sure where to find one in Australia...would they fix it if I took it to the Apple shop? lol sorry...I didn't buy this iPod (my uncle got it in US) and I've never had any problems with it before...
    thank you ^_^

  • White screen with yellow stripes on start up?

On start up my screen is white with vertical yellow stripes and stays like that. I've tried re-booting but no good.

    You are very welcome.
I hate having to replace computers, get attached to them, but having the geniuses check this one out will save a lot of frustration.  A couple of these past discussions went on and on and on until the person gave in and did what you have done.  If it is hardware there just isn't anything on-line help can do about it.  Good luck tomorrow and if you have a chance, post the results...we are all fellow users on here and like to hear the resolution to problems.

  • Looping yellow highlighted strip

I accidentally hit a button and it created a repeat region at the beginning of my project.  It's a yellow strip at the top and I can't delete it and the play only loops now in that area.  I actually learned about these moveable highlighted regions and worked with them once before on a previous project, but now I can not remember what they are called and I don't remember how to select and deselect them.  I want to get rid of the selected yellow loop region.  Thanks.

  • Officejet Pro 8500 A909g Wireless suddenly won't print yellow; no error messages

Is it possible that a printhead needs to be replaced even when Diagnostics Pages all say "Printhead health:  Good"?   I don't have any error messages.  There are no obvious white lines through the colored blocks on test pages.  In a couple of blocks on some test pages, there is one, very fine, barely visible line, but it's not the same on all pages.  (Today I've printed about a dozen test pages of three different kinds that have colored blocks on them, and there are no white lines like the ones shown in examples of bad test results.)   I have used the tool for cleaning the printheads many, many times today and have cleaned at all of the levels.  The ink level in the yellow cartridge is fine, and it's been working well until yesterday and today.
The printing of the five colored blocks on test pages is good, bright, and clear.  The only problem is that the block which is supposed to be a light orange color is only pink, and the block that is supposed to be green is only blue:  they are lacking yellow ink.
I haven't had any problems with the paper I've bought at Staples for six years (I also bought my printer at Staples ).  The printer is six years old but has not been used hard.  I use it regularly for a page or two a few times a week, so the printer isn't sitting idle for weeks at a time.
I read something in "help" information about using a straight pin to gently remove excess adhesive from the nozzle of a new ink cartridge, which didn't apply to my cartridge, but I decided to experiment anyway by pushing a pin through the nozzle of the partially-used, yellow ink cartridge,  The test page I printed after that is the page with just four colored blocks on it rather than the five blocks on a different test page.  This is the only time in two days that the yellow ink has printed.  However, it printed in a wide horizontal band a little streaked with gray in the middle of the block.  Then there are fairly wide white bands (no ink) both above and below the wide yellow/gray streaked band in the middle, and there are very narrow, yellow, horizontal strips  printed along the very top edge and the very bottom edge of the block.  In other words, the sequence of horizontal printing in this block only is:  narrow yellow strip, wide white band, very wide yellow/gray streaked band, wide white band, and narrow yellow strip.
It seems this might mean that some yellow ink actually got through after I'd poked the pin into the center of the nozzle of the partially-used ink cartridge?  However, when I tried printing the same test page again, there was no color, no ink showing at all where the partially-printed, yellow block had been on the previous test page.  There was only a totally blank, white space where the yellow test block was supposed to be.  The blue block, the red/pink block, and the black/gray block all printed well.
When nothing solved the problem of yellow ink not printing, I replaced the partially-used, yellow cartridge with a new yellow cartridge, but that didn't make a difference either:  the yellow ink is still not printing.  Yes, I use genuine HP ink cartridges.  I buy new ones whenever I need them -- never refill them or use any other brand but HP.
I used the alignment tool once to fix some slight wavering in the lines on a test page.  The lines are now perfectly straight.
I apologize for being so wordy, but I wanted to send all of the details that might help diagnose the problem.  I read other questions and answers in the forum about yellow ink not printing, but while there were some similiarities, none of them was 100% exactly like my experience with the problem.  What shall I try now?  Thank you for any suggestions.

    Good day.

  • I am getting a black/yellow sign with NETBLOCKADE on it when I try to open youtube, and of the Facebook games.......what happened and how can I correct this?

I do not know what else to write except my question. The page will open up but where the scene I am suppose to watch on YouTube or the area where the game is suppose to be played....this warning sign in black and yellow strips with netblockade written across it appears and I can not go forward since it is blocked!!!! I do not know what happened. What can I do to remove this block? Thanks

Go to image>mode and note the color mode (rgb, bitmap, etc) and bit depth of your photo. For the most possible use of PSE it should be RGB 8 bit.

    Hello there, ZeniTM.
The following Knowledge Base article provides some great recommendations for troubleshooting display issues on your Mac:
Apple computers: Troubleshooting issues with video on internal or external displays
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1573
Once you're reviewed the recommendations in regards to updates, this portion of the section on "No video or no signal, image distortion, "snow," or flickering" is useful:
    Reset the system
You can reset the Mac's parameter RAM and SMC.
    Reset the resolution
Start by resetting the Mac's parameter RAM. If the display does not come up, was previously set to an unsupported resolution, and still results in no video:
    Start up in Safe Mode.
From the Apple () menu, choose System Preferences.
Choose Displays from the View menu to open the preferences pane.
Select any resolution and refresh rate that your display supports.
    Restart your computer.
If you tried all of these steps for your display and the video issues persist, contact Apple technical support or take your Apple computer to the nearest Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP) for diagnosis. If you plan to visit an Apple Retail Store, make a reservation at the Genius Bar using http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/ (available in some countries only).
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Pedro.

  • Changing yellow wall to white in FCP 7

I am editing a clip of a close up of my face. My face only fills half the screen as I intended. But unfortunately the viewfinder on the camera did not show that it had included a portion of one of my yellow walls in my flat. So half of the background is off-white and there is a yellow strip.
How would I get rid of this yellow strip and make it the same colour as the white wall? I was thinking colour corrector 3-way but not sure how I would go about doing this.
    Any help much appreciated, thanks.

you can limit the area the three-way color correct filter effects.  It's at the bottom of the visual tab.  click on the arrow at the bottom left to open the limit effect area.  click on the eyedropper and click on a yellow portion of the image.  You can adjust the luminance, saturation and hue areas effected.  If you click on the filters tab, you can display the matte which will show you the area you are selecting.
The manual's probably got a more thorough explanation.

  • How can I break the tool tips (tip strips) into to seveal lines?

I use the tip in "Description and tip..." to display tool tips (tooltips, tip strips, help cues, the little yellow strips with helpful information about a control). Some of the help messages are long, but the tips are still displayed on one line. In some cases the whole text can not be read because the tip is wider than the screen. I would like to be able to specify a maximum width of the tip, or to be able to manually insert line breaks.

    Hi Nick
Actually, I write multiline string up to 256 char long in worpad. Then, I copy and paste into de tip dialog from pop up menu and it works fine.
    Hope it helps.

  • What causes iPad screen to go yellow?

Just sent my ipad 2 to my niece, she turned it on and got yellow stripes on screen which then turned to all yellow. Tried to reset, but that didnt seem to work.  It may have gotten really cold in transit, might that cause the problem? Any thoughts on fixing it?

    Frozen or unresponsive iPad
    Resolve these most common issues:
        •    Display remains black or blank
        •    Touch screen not responding
        •    Application unexpectedly closes or freezes
