Yellow tint PROBLEM FW+AI+PS

Hello,
I am having a serious problem with kuler panel in FW, AI, PS
and with search field in FW + AI.
http://www.designme.sk/junk/omg.png
Cant see the kuler colors as they should look like, because
they are covered with yellow tint (looks like 50% alpha).
This was happening on with my old graphics (geforce 8600gt),
but happens with new (radeon hd4670) one also. Latest drivers,
latest updates, lates everything.. So I reinstalled windows, sp3,
windows update, new drivers, clean CS4 install.. Same freakin
thing. Can anyone tell what is the problem here? I am using
download version cs4 design premium english.

@designme.sk,
I am curious... did you use calibrated device to help correct
color management problem in your monitor? If no, I recommend that
you should consider to invest in one of those nice
professional-quality calibrated device. In many case, having
corrected color profile set up in your monitor, then workflow
working with your project with "the right color profile" in right
approach, the right way of managing color management.
As you probably already know how important color management
is, so I don't have to go into that further.
Hope that helps.
Cheers, DWD

  • Will I get my iPhone replaced for yellow tinting problem

Will I get my iPhone 4S replaced for yellow tinting problem, it's hardly 6 months old phone and this problem is from day one. Screen is not whitish it's yellowish.

If you think there is a problem with the screen, try making a reservation with a Genius.

  • Looks like my screen has yellow tint problem.

looks like my screen has yellow tint problem, images look  more yellowish. Does anyone have similar issue with their mac airs?

This isn't an actually an issue. Apple have recently changed the screens they put in all their devices. If you were to put an iPhone 4 bought on release date next to one bought a month ago you would see that the older iPhone 4 would have a "bluer" screen. This is because the old screens had unnaturally bright whites so the new screens are supposed to be closer to the real colours and give a broader range of colours.

  • Yellow tint! the 3rd Screen of my iMac 27, it's getting worse and worse...

Hi everyone not sure if there is anything more i could do with this, I have a 2010-13 week iMac, it came with a 'bearable' yellow tint problem from the beginning, after a hard drive failure i had to send my iMac back to Apple care, i was hoping the screen problem had been solved so I asked them to replace my screen as well, it came back with a worse panel showed much larger area of yellow tint...
Then I decided to wait for a few months until a week ago before my holiday i called for another exchange, was hoping for a perfect screen after my holiday, now holiday is over and iMac is back, just right after I pressed the power button, the start up screen with apple logo clearly tells me that i have got a even more disgusting panel - the worst of all i have to say, a new uneven shadow line on the bottom plus the usual yellower tint spreads over the middle of the screen, oh yes, they decided to make it even worse, a big dead spot as well in the corner ....
after a few hours, when i was editing a photo in Aperture, I have discovered something even more disturbing, from right edge of the screen inwards there is around 8cm wide vertical band shows obvious brighter tone than the rest of screen...
I do a lot of black & white photography plus a lot 3D graphic work, for a while I had tried to live with the yellow issue until it got really frustrating - now i have to once again arrange an exchange as this one is just unbearable!
Is this really Apple? Hard drive failed after a year and this is the 3rd screen of the iMac, and it just gets worse...
I wonder if there's anyone who had the luck to get the yellow screen replaced by a decent one?

Are you talking about a mid-2011 iMac or a 2010 iMac?
As it seems, the issue of color inconsistency of the iMac display is far from solved. Yellow tint, uneven brightness, light-leaks are very easily found even of newer models. I have a two-week-old mid-2011 27-inch iMac that I tried to replace for a new one because of yellow tint issue. It turned out that the replacement iMac had a worse screen... So I kept the first one. Not sure if the right thing to do is just get the screen replaced. It seems users have done it with no success...
So, I guess these problems are structural on the iMac line. They seem very much to be omnipresent. And I don't see Apple offering a genuine/trustworthy solution through its in-warranty support.

  • IPad 1 Yellow Tint

My iPad 1 is acting strange. On occasion the screen will develop a yellow tint. If I do a hard reset it will temporarily fix the problem. But it will return here and there.
    Why?

Lots of threads here about a yellow tint problem but first I've seen where t comes and goes. You need to set up a Genius Bar appointment at your nearest Apple Store.

  • What's Wrong? My iPad Lost it's Yellow Tint!

My new iPad never really had a yellow tint. The display, though, was obviously warmer in tone than my iPad 2, and the warmth was across the entire display, not just part of it.
Space around text was, in particular, whiter on the iPad 2, and the text seemed to be darker - more contrasty. I had to call my wife over to take a look and she confirmed what I was seeing, when the two iPads were side-by-side.
As others have noted, if the two iPads were not compared side-by-side, the new one looked fine. Put them together, and the difference was very apparent.
However, having read from several posters that it's an issue with glue, I decided not to panic. Last night, I spent a few hours with the new iPad on the Web, reading people's comments, and then browsing the topic of color - how we see, Edwin Land's ideas about color perception being based on context, etc. It made for interesting, if not hard-going reading.
Just before I went to bed, I did a last comparison check. I discoverd, to my amazement, that my new iPad's display had lost most of its warm tint over the past few hours. As far as I can tell, it's now totally gone. When I compare it to my iPad 2, the new iPad still looks warmer, but only in comparison.
Now the iPad 2 has a bluish cast to my eyes, especially when I'm looking at a page with black text and white space - the white is blue. With photos, the difference is down to a slight saturation gain with the new iPad. And the retina display increases sharpness just enough to make some photographs, along with their increased saturation, appear to be 3D.
I have a feeling this problem of tint/color will resolve itself for most people, one way or the other. For those who can relax for a few days, they might find, as I did, that the yellow will disappear. Or they might trade in their iPads, but there's no guarantee, if they get an iPad fresh off the boat, that it won't have the same problem, at least for a few days.

That's good to hear that the "Yellow tint" has sorted it self out.
Maybe the "Heat" issues that that people have with the batteries will sort it self out after a few discharge - recharge cycles.

  • Why haven't we heard anything from apple in regard to the yellow tint screens till now?

It is really sad & frustrating from Apple to get manufacturers who do not produce quality work like the others. It really more sad when I pay more than 800$ with a one year contract & do not recieve the correct handset.
After lots of arguing & fighting with customer care in UAE, all I was able to get is a third replacement however same issue & they tell you most of our phones are like this for the black.
What a shame Appple, am quite sad & learned my lesson, I will not rush to buy any of your products anymore, let it take its time then If you have no issues I might think about buying.
Now what troubles me the most is that I could not find any announcment from Apple on this though there are so many users with such issue. What a shame!!!!!!!
People out there, any news about this. What can we do.

wissam, just letting u know that my 3 days old black iphone 4s has a yellow tint and the serial number starts with DNQ, I am very upset with this issue and will never get any apple product till all the problems are fixed

  • Yellow tinted display

Is anyone else still experiencing a yellow tinted display screen after "restoring" to 5A347?
I'm wondering if this problem is isolated to my phone, and it could be exchanged for a new one.

I just exchanged my 3g Black 16 gig iPhone due to a yellowish screen. My new replacement came with the (5A437) version. It is still a bit yellow but now the contrast is off making the text blurry and gray. I have another 3g white 16 gig with the (5A435) version which has no problems. The color is very rich and has deep blacks. I hope the is a way to correct this in the future. Upgrading the version does nothing. This is my 4th replacement phone and I am sick of making trips out to the Apple Store every week.

  • My refurbished iPhone 5 display has a yellow tint?

I got a replacement iPhone from AppleCare today, and I've got everything figured out with my new iPhone 5. When I was texting my friend, in messages I noticed the white background in the messages apphas a yellow tint to it. To make sure I wasn't seeing things or anything I got my iPhone 5 that I'm sending back to Apple and I compared both displays and the refurbished iPhone (I assume it's refurbished, there is little noticeable marks here and there) has a yellow tinted screen, and it's very noticeable, regardless on screen brightness.
Is this normal in refurbished iPhones, or any refurbished apple devices? Can I call Apple back and request a new replacement iPhone 5? The yellow tint is pretty annoying, and I have an iPad as well, so I can really see the tinted yellow display.

Is it new? I heard it was some minor problem with the adhesive glue on the iphone, and that it should go away in a couple of days/weeks?
If you're super concerned about it, you should go to the apple store and have them check it out.

  • Apple Yellow Tint Screen

    Hi,
I know that this problem been discussed previously here, I bought my iphone from the UK and been using it for a few months and it was perfectly fine. Now I buy a new iphone in Dubai and the screen is yellow tinted!
I am really unsatisfied with the yellow tinted screen. The question I want to ask is, am I entitled to get a new iphone? I went back to the store exactly two hours after I bought it and they refused to replace it for me, claiming that this is Apple Policy
    Thanks,
    Alzaabi

    Hi,
Apple has a warranty that can provide fixtures for any products that are defective and not created by the user through accidental damage.
Technicians use discretion to direct the result of your question with an answer based on the warranty of Apple.
You can always take it to other places such as Consult Mac Dubai, they are the leading in Apple service for Dubai.

  • IPod touch 5th generation (replacement from Apple Store) - yellow tinted screen

I have an iPod touch 5th generation replacement from the Apple Store, and the display is slightly yellow compared to "new" or floor models. There are also some areas where the yellowing is more obvious than others. Is it possible to get this replaced at an Apple Store?
I have read other posts where the yellow tint goes away within a week or so. I have had this problem for months.

Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store and try

  • Brand new, white Verizon iPhone4, has a yellow tinted screen.

I just bought a brand new Verizon (white) iPhone and noticed the color of the screen had a warmer (yellowish) tint to it, comparing it my iPod4 which has a cooler (bluish) tint. I then compared it to a friend's AT&T iPhone4 and noticed he had the cooler  tint to it as well. We both had the brightness turned all the way up.
Is anyone else experiencing this? I really like the bluish look a lot more because the whites look more like whites.
I'm wondering if maybe my iPhone was color calibrated incorrectly or if this was done intentionally.

    Hi
How did it go with Apple customer care? Just wondering because I exchanged my white Verizon iPhone and I see it exactly the same yellowish tint on the screen and compared it to all the black iPhones they had at the store, so I'm just wondering if Apple care was able to do anything??
    Thanks
I haven't called Apple's customer care service but instead brought my iPhone into an official Apple retail store. The employee has never been approached about the yellow tint yet, and assured me there was nothing wrong with it. He also couldn't give me an answer I was looking for either; if it was Apple's intention or not. He himself had a brand new Verizon white iPhone and we compared ours and they both looked the same. I showed him my friends AT&T black iPhone and set it next to mine but he really didn't notice the difference. My friend also had a protective screen over it and the employee said maybe the blue tint I was seeing was from the plastic (which I know is not the cause).
I brought it to Verizon's store and the employee there said he didn't see any real problem with it and since Apple didn't send them a notice about a recall on their iPhone's, there was nothing they could do about it.
So I thought, this is must be what they are doing for all their new iPhone's. Every new one I see, it's tinted yellow. Although when I was in the Apple store and compared it to one of the new iPad2's displays, the iPad had a blue tinted screen.
The mystery over the yellow screen continues!
[However, I've been getting used to the yellow screen and I don't even notice it anymore.]

  • Not Liking The Yellow Tinted Screen

I'm kind of disappointed that Apple decided to put a cheaper screen in the new phones. Hopefully I'm wrong and that it's not a screen and can be fixed through an update or something, or I can return this phone in a month or so and they'll have the newer shipment of phones with old iPhone lighting on the screens. I'm currently doing a restore on my phone to see if it fixes the lighting at all, because I read somewhere that a restore makes it less yellow tint-ish. Also not liking the 1 bar I'm getting at my house with 3G on, not cool.
Now I got a question. I don't know much about MobileMe but I don't have it. I also don't know anything about Push and if it has anything to do with MobileMe. I have 2 Gmail accounts loaded on my iPhone, should I keep Push on? And does it have any effect on battery usage with it on?

    This is the partial breakdown:
    1st Gen iPhone had a white point of 8300K;
iPhone 3G has white point between 6800K - 7300K by design, intentional.
Native white point for a Mac monitor is 6500K (D65)
Mac monitors are usually at Gamma 1.8 (subtly blu-ish IMO), and PC monitors are at Gamma 2.2 (slightly fluorescent yellowish)
What is the Gamma of the screen of the 3G iPhone?
Because if a future adjustment is available to screen settings of 3G iPhone, then I would try to set it to 6500K and a Gamma of 1.8 to most nearly emulate a Mac monitor.
So I wonder if Apple changed to a yellowish 2.2 Gamma, to slightly cater to the larger PC user base , who is used to seeing screens at Gamma 2.2, with its inherent yellowness?
Either way, I don't think I'll have a problem with new screen, cuz I got an idea of why it was chosen.
