Yellow triangle "Please Connect to iTunes", can't do restore in iTunes

My iPhone stucked in yellow triangle and "Please Connect to iTunes" message, i can't do a proper restore from both "recovery mode" or DFU, it keeps showing 1604, 1603, 1600 errors and from DFU it shows error 6... As much as i understood after reading hundreds of forums, it might be a NAND fault... Any ideeas? Thank you...

Well the iPhone being stuck at the yellow triangle means that your iPhone is in recovery mode. The data is still on your iPhone, but it is not recoverable by measures within support of Apple. To recover that data you would need to either take it to someone who could assist you in retrieving that data, or look for 3rd party iPhone data recovery programs. You may have a backup and you don't even know to check to go Edit\Preferences\Device and it will say the following devices are backed up on this computer or something. If it says the name of your iPhone and a current date you should get most of your data back after the restore, this is not guaranteed as the backup file may be corrupt.
As far as the 1600 error codes those are normally related to USB issues. Error 6 across Windows and Mac is normally hardware. You are going to want to try restoring your iPhone on another USB port (without the dock) if it is still failing to you can always uninstall and reinstall iTunes, uninstall and reinstall the iPhone driver. If this still fails, you can attempt to restore in another admin. user. Your best bet however would be to restore the iPhone on another computer. Once this is done you can bring the iPhone back to the main computer to restore from the backup.
Hope this helps a bit! ✰

  • Yellow Triangle "Please Connect to iTunes"

I left my iPhone charging over night and then went to wake it up and it looked fine. Then I went to listen to my voicemails and I couldn't hear them and there was no sound on the small ear speaker and the speakerphone. Then I tried switching it from silent to loud. Still nothing..
I then tried the ipod features and it wouldn't play on speaker and so then I hard rebooted it. A yeallow triable came up with and Exclamation point " ! " saying please connect to itunes. I did and now I have to Restore the iPhone completely and so I'm waiting for the Software to download off itunes. Is my phone a defect?
Do you think It will do this again?! I can't believe all my data is gone including my contacts and photos taken with the iPhone.

iTunes says I have to restore my iPhone and that means it erases all the data on my phone, like the pictures I took with it. I hadn't had the time to upload them to my computer. So now They're gone! I just think it's a pain to do this. lol

  • IPhone stuck on "Please Connect to iTunes"

So I attempted the update. Received an error message (I beleive 2003). Now the iPhone itself is stuck on the "Please Connect to iTunes" message with the yellow exclamation point sign. I beleive I'm attempting to reset the iPhone correctly (top button and home button held down).
Even after a reboot I still get the same dialog.
Problem is, after a PC reboot, different USB ports, iTunes can not see the iPhone. Windows sees it, but iTunes does not. I'm confident I could get this thing to work if I can re-apply the update, or even reboot the phone.
    Any insight?

OK, updated itunes to latest version. It saw the Iphone and said it must be restored, etc. Attempted a restore, and it gave me the dialog that an error occured and that this iPhone cannot be restored. Sheesh.
I'm leaving it plugged in, letting iTunes "do its thing" as you say, however, I think that patience and trust work better with human beings
Edit: Ok, three attempted restorations and three "Iphone could not be restored (Error 1604)" dialogs. Hrmmm...this is troubling.
Please tell me all my contact info isn't lost....

  • One moment please, connecting to iTunes...

    Hi there.
I'm having this problem with iTunes about a couple of days ago.
"one moment please, connecting to iTunes. Loading..."... still waiting
I have tried almost everything, I even downloaded and install iTunes again and nothing.
There are some tips on how to fix it but most of them are for PC user and not for Mac.
If any one can help I will really appreciate.
    Thanks.

I too am having this trouble, very frustrating, I have uninstalled & reinstaled iTunes, i have uninstalled Norton, still didn't work... Tried numerous fixes recommended online to no avail. It was working earlier yesterday.

  • "Please Connect to iTunes"  -- Help

Did update and then phone shows the above error message, and on itunes it says it has detected an iphone in recovery mode and iphone must be restored...what is going on? Tried powering down, hard reset...nothing. Certainly don't want to restore if don't need to - help!!!

Ive also had this problem with both of the last 2 updates for the iPhone. The update downloaded from the server, and when it goes to install onto my iPhone, iTunes freezes and my phone shows a dock connector with an arrow pointed to iTunes (for the last update I got the warning symbol and "please connect to iTunes" msg). This time I just restarted my computer and my phone and when I opened iTunes it said that my phone was in recovery mode. I had to restore my phone for the second update in a row. I had to re-sync all my music, video, photos, etc. Talk about a huge hassle/pain in the *! Im going to take it to an Apple Store, but unless they can downgrade and then try to reinstall the update so I can show them what happens, they will probably give me the run around with no real answers. One thing to note, iTunes will NOT auto-launch when I connect my phone.
Im running 10.4.11 and iTunes 7.5 (this happened before 7.5 too)

  • "Authorization failed.  Please connect to itunes."??? - Trying to add apps

Just got the new apple iphone 3g. I am trying to add apps to my iphone but everytime i try to add an app, i am getting the error message: "Authorization failed. Please connect to itunes." I connected to itunes on my macbook, but nothing happens. I type in my correct appleid and password but nothing either. Does anyone know how to fix?...so i can finally download some apps=) Thank you!

I would log into http://myinfo.apple.com and verify that your information is all correct.
The I would go into the iTunes Store and hit your email address in the upper left and view account info and verify your credit card info and billing address is all correct.
Then if you sync and add or remove a song it should sync the updated account info to your phone.

  • "authorization failed. Please connect to iTunes"

I tried to download a free app (BTW, its my first download, i haven't entered my id and password yet) and i got this error "Authorization failed. Please connect to iTunes." I found that alot of people have the same problem, but there wasn't any solutions online. Can anyone help? or at least give suggestions. Thanks!

Ok, i solved the problem, what happened was that my Apple account wasn't subscribed to the iTunes store. So when i tried to download a song using iTunes, it popped up an error, saying that i needed to make my Apple account a iTunes store account, or something like that. So if you have the same problem, try downloading something from iTunes, and it'll pop up a more descriptive message.

  • IPhone disabled please connect to iTunes. Please help mee

    Hello
My son has typed in my passcode wrong on my iPhone 5 and it says 'iPhone disabled please connect to iTunes'
I had rung O2, and they said that the only thing they can do is do a restore on the phone but then everything will be deleted
I'm not bothered about the apps getting deleted, it's the photos and videos I am most worried about because they are of my 4 month old daughter since birth and these are the only photos that I have of her. I have only sent around 20 photos to family and friends so if I lose all these photos on my phone then I will only have 20. There are over 2000 pictures of her on my phone so I really really need to get them back
I don't have iTunes, I have never downloaded it or anything. I have always taken my pictures off just by plugging my phone into the computer, going to My Computer and copy and pasting them like that but I have not done this in 2 months and there are so many photos and videos that will be lost.
I downloaded iTunes, logged in using my email and password but every time I connect my phone it keeps saying for me to put my password in on the phone but the numbers aren't on the phone screen.
Is there any way I can get my photos back?
Can Apple get them back for me?
    Please help

There is no way to get your photos back if you didn't save them to your computer, or back up your iPhone to your computer, or back up your iPhone to iCloud, or enable PhotoStream for your iPhone, or upload them to FaceBook or Picasa or DropBox or Box or Flickr or Shutterfly. In other words, there are at least a dozen ways you can preserve photos, and if you didn't do any of them they are lost.
One reason to sync to iTunes is iTunes will "remember" your phone, so if you ever lose your passcode you can just Restore using iTunes and it will remove the passcode AND restore your most recent backup.

  • ITunes: Authorisation failed. Please connect to iTunes

For some reason, I can't purchase iTunes songs on my iPod Touch. I am logged in and it states my account name at the bottom. The song drops down into the downloads section but I then get the message:
"authorisation failed. please connect to iTunes"
I've connected, reconnected, ensured I am logged in to the store on my MacBook but it makes no difference to the iPod.
I can still purchase music direct from iTunes on my MacBook tho.
    Any ideas?

    Hey!
Yep!Same thing with me.I looked it up and sure enough, you have to have been logged in to your Acoount the last time you synced the Pod.
However, when I then logged back on a few days later,I received the message about details changed!
It looks as though my 'security code'on the back of the debit card is missing. What gives?
I'm sure Re-entering it will sort it out,but why was it altered by the iPT when I tried the Store via WiFi?
It must have been this as I've not changed it myself thru iTunes.
    Cheers,
    John

  • "cannot retrieve download information please connect to itunes" ? problem,

what does "cannot retrieve download information please connect to itunes" mean?
lately, my ipod has been acting weird, about 3 days ago, it wasn't able to access the 'Updates" section of the mobile store. Now it can, so I downloaded the Tap Tap update, it tells me to go hook it up to my computer and now this message pops up on my ipod every 5 min.

I had this same problem with the message cannot retrieve download information please connect to itunes. Everything else on the ipod works fine, but you might notice that the ipod is displaying the wrong time, or the time keeps changing. the time thing sometimes occures with this problem just something esle I noticed wrong. The good news is that the problem is not with the ipod or your connection, It is a problem with Itunes, if your computer hibernates while itunes is open and you wake it up and plug your ipod in it screws up stuff with the itunes store and also messes with your time, to solve this problem all you need to do is to is to close itunes, reopen it plug your ipod in and hit sync. pluging your ipod into your computer after it has hibernated and itunes was open causes this problem, so just always restart Itunes before you plug in your ipod after hibernating. hope this helps

  • HT1689 I Ipod says Ipod disabled please connect to Itunes.  I have connected but now I don't know what to do?

My Ipod says disabld please connect to Itunes.  I have connected but now I don't know what to do from here?  I can't even unlock my phone.

    Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

    For how to restore:
    iTunes: Restoring iOS software
    To restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

  • Different SIM Detected - Please connect to iTunes

    Hello,
I have had my iPhone 3G contract on O2 for just over a year. In the beginning I wanted to keep my previous O2 number, so was told to use my previous simcard and they would update the account information. This was fine.
After a while I realised I wasnt getting 3G signal, and never had. I assumed it was the handset so I went to apple store about 6 month ago, they got me a new one. The same problem, I couldnt get 3G but being vey busy I couldnt go back to apple for another 6 months. They got me a new one again, and when the problem persisted we realised it must be the sim card.
After a few days I went to O2 and they supplied me with a new simcard, after a day waiting for the account to transfer, I installed the sim and it got 3G signal at last.
But the problem now, is that every time the phone boots up, it says Please connect to iTunes. The only alternative is an emergency call. You can imagine my frustration when I went abroad to copenhagen with all my contact details and phone numbers on the phone, and no way to access it.
I have spoken to the O2 iOPhone support team, who tried to help by talking me through the 'Reset all settings' option. But the problem persists.
Please help! This is very frustrating.
    Kind regards,
    Stuart

    Hello,
Thank you all for your contributions, eventually after 2 long conversations on the phone with the Network and with Apple themselves, I booked in to the Genius Bar of my nearest apple store.
They were too busy to even listen to my problem or think it through, but just ended up replacing my handset. This seems to have worked, but I will avoid rebooting from my previous phone back up... as it seems like it must be a software conflict somewhere between the SIM, IPhone, ITunes and the online registry.
I really hope the rest of you can solve your problems... The three previous times I have been to the genius bar they had time and were very helpful, so I think a visit to apple is the best bet.
    All the best,
    Stuart

  • Phone Dead - Please Connect to iTunes

This phone has not been connected to a computer since activating it and on the 1.1 update now it is frozen. I have gotten errors 1611, 2003. And I have uninstalled itunes and re-installed, nothing. I have held the both buttons for 5 seconds and 30 seconds, nothing. Restarted the computer, nothing. Plugged it back into the wall and let it charge, nothing. Then I created an account to post this thread and got half way through typing, and low and behold the phone started restoring firmware. What the ****. Well, now that the phone is working, can Apple somehow give me back one hour of time?

I have the same problem. I just finished downloading iLife '08 when my iPhone just won't open. I let the battery drain out and connected it to the outlet to charge. The " Please connect to iTunes " message showed up and my iPhone is stuck from there since yesterday. I missed a lot of business calls because of this crap and will file a complaint against Apple and AT&T regarding this matter if no solution for this problem is available.
I urged others to do the same as iPhone users paid each day of this phone to be used and not hanged!
