Yellowish Screen on New iPod touch 4

I compared my new touch to my old 1st generation iPhone and the screen on the iPhone looks better. The iPod's screen has quite a yellowish tint to it. Anyone else notice that? Battery life is even better on the old iPhone!

I called Apple and they want me to send it in for repair. Normally they send me a box to send hardware in for repair, but they just gave me a UPS shipping number and said I should just take it there and UPS would box it up and send it. No cost to me for shipping. Works for me. At least I don't have to drive 90 miles to the nearest Apple Store!

You did install the latest iTunes (10.5) right?  If the problem was that iTunes does not see the iPod try:
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
    or
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Device not recognized in iTunes for Mac OS X

  • On the new ipod touch, is there a way to enlarge album art to fill the whole screen?

    Hi there,
For Christmas I was given a new ipod touch (long story short my old one I put through the wash by mistake ) and this new one is great but when I listen to a song on the new itouch the album art does not fill the whole screen like my old itouch, this is a small detail I know but I loved that feature so much and I was hoping there was a setting I could activate/change which allows this on the new itouch.
At the moment on the new itouch the album art is small and centered towards the top of the screen while the function icons are below the image while on the last one the album art filled the whole screen and the function icons where over the picture at the bottom and didn't stand out as much as it does now.
I have drawn a very rough MSpaint diagram explaining what I mean lol.....
[i tried using the insert image feature but got a javascript error so using external site to upload pic]

Anyway my question is, is there a way to have the album art fill the whole screen with the new itouch?

Just sync them to the iPod. See:
    iTunes: Syncing photos
They will not go to the camera roll album but to a new album

Try #2 and 3 in link below. If neither help, it's most likely a hardware issue then. Contact Apple and get it serviced.

  • Got a white screen on my brand new iPod touch.  Any ideas how to fix it?

Got a brand new iPod touch last night & as soon as I turned it on I got a white screen. It connected to iTunes fine & I did try to restore it with no luck. Any sugggestions would be appreciated!

    - Try:
iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - If not successful and you can't turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for at least an hour try the article again.
    - If still problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • New ipod touch screens smashed how much would it be to get it repaired in an apple store?

Got new ipod touch for hristmas, someone knocked it out of my hands today and the screen has cracked, how much would it be to come to one of your stores and get the screen fixed?

Offically, the warranty does not cover user-caused damage, so you may have to pay Apple's standard charge for the iPod to be replaced. That said, though, it's been reported that in some cases, an Apple Store has replaced a user-damaged iPod touch without charge even though they're not obgigated to do so. So if there's an Apple Store near you, take your iPod there, politely explain what happened, and hope they can do something for you.
If not, you'll need to pay their replacement charge or find a third-party repair service and see if you can get the repair for less.
    Regards.

  • My new iPod touch is getting really warm while I use it. Is it normal? I mean, I have silicone cover, maybe it's the reason for iPod being so HOT?... How do you think, is it too important to have a cover on the iPod? How about screen protector? :S

When the above says to restore via iTunes, restore to factory settings/new iPod, not from backup

  • My new ipod touch is stuck on a screen with the itunes logo, a picture of the charger and an arrow between the two.

My new ipod touch has become stuck.  The screen has an image of the itunes logo near the top an arrow pointing up just below that, and an image of the charger at the bottom.  I don't know what this means.  I've tried charging it, and turning it off and on, but it comes back to this screen every time.  Anyone else experience this and know how to fix it?  Thanks!

plug your ipod into itunes...it may not do anything plugging it into your own itunes so you may want to try plugging it into someone elses to save the trouble. I had this same problem last week plugged it into my dads ipod and it worked (:

  • My new ipod touch has no icons just background screen. Is this normal?

My new ipod touch has no icons, just background screen. Help?

The screen of a new iPod will have a iTunes and a USB cord icons. To use the iPod you first have to connect the iPod to a computer with an internet connect and which has the latest version of iTunes installed. ITunes will give you instructions after you connect the iPod to the computer.

If you successfully restored to factory settings/new iPod via iTunes (Not via Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Setting) and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem. Could be the screen or something else.
