I mean Come On! Why am i being forced to get wireline broadband? I wanna use 3g as my primary internet connection and dont want to put money in broadband. I have to pay for my 3 g plan ANYWAY.
WILL YOU JUST LET ME DOWNLOAD WHATEVER I WANNA DOWNLOAD WITHOUT ASKING ME TO CONNECT TO WIFI, APPLE?

Interestingly it works when trying to download via a personal hotspot of another apple device over the same carriers 3g network!
I am talking about my iphone connecting the personal hotspot of my ipad or vice e versa.

At some point in time, I tried to download an application. His question is not about trying to download >10M over 3G, it's about the constant message that keeps popping up.
TexasMufasa - If you can, delete the item from your computer and from your iPhone and then sync. It sounds like it's still trying to download it.
Also, I suggest a phone reset... press the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-10 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings. This message was given when trying to update an app I already had installed on the phone. My question is why? Is this a problem with the programming making you connect to the internet via link or Wi-Fi. Or is this a limitation on the Verizon network? Or perhaps a limitation set in place by Apple to prevent long downloads? So I came here hoping to get some hard cold facts. (since Verizon associates would not or simply could not help me)
Personally I could care less if it took 6 hours to download an update. I do however have a problem paying a telephone service an insane rate to get "unlimited data" and not being able to receive unlimited data.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I dont have Wifi in the countryside and theres no DSL, only 3G and 4G. why should I have to buy another 3G service when I already have one? This is one of the problems of globalisation, because AT&T cant handle the volume, the whole world has to suffer.
I pay per gigabyte, so dont need these restrictions Apple! Its mine to use.

Hi I have an IMac that is only a few weeks old with fully updated software on all levels.
Ok so I get that I had to go buy an external CD drive so that I can be old fashioned and still burn music from my CD's into ITunes. I get that I will have to replace my 5.1 surround sound speakers because Jacks and Plugs change over time.
What I cannot fathom is why this silly ISight camera just doesnt work on a chat site I have been a member of for years. Yes its a flash based chat room and no when you right click the ISight camera is not in the list there is only one in the list and it aint the built in one.
Can anyone tell me where I can go to find out how to control this camera - there is no camera or video control under the system preferences - I have ensured that Photobooth and other programs that may use the camera are off or logged out - I have googled extensively - I have even emailed the chat host...
Where can I get access to some camera controls or software that will enable the cam to talk with a broader range of sites??

Ok so use  > System Preferences ... > Flash > Advanced to verify you have the latest Flash software update that is compatible with your system.
Ok so then also check  > System Preferences ... > Flash > Camera and Mic to verify that your Flash settings are not blocking the camera for the site(s) you want.
Ok so if your trouble continues after the above, see How to Troubleshoot iSight.
Ok so at this point, if your ONLY trouble in every user account you tested is with Flash-based camera sites, you need Adobe Flash Player Help.

Communication Error - Yes I know this has been made.

As stated previously, I know these have been made before, by a lot of people. I have yet to find an answer that works. I have tried setting up new locations like the youtube video. I have tried to open said ports, and I have tried turning on UpNP and all of the other tricks. I still cannot get video chat to work. I will do my best to provide all info that I can to get this to work.
Obviously, this is the dreaded Communication Error, "You did not recieve a response from [name here]"
Current Specs:
Model Name: MacBook
Model Identifier: MacBook4,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz
Using Mac OS X 10.5.3
Router is a D-Link DI-624M.
This is all updated with firmware and is current (v2.5). Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Burning issues and yes i know this has been posted up before

Ok , just like some indicated before that my itunes use to burned perfectly on maximum speed , so after a while i had a few problem in burning it would start burning then 10-20 sec it would say disk error or something like that and i would lose the recordable cd i inserted . So i went to 4x to see if maybe that would fix it but , the same dam thing happens and happens over and over making me lose recordable cd's again! without warning ! Can i some how fix this by cleaning maybe the lens with a cd lens cleaner or will that mess up my lense on my mac osx? How can i fix this problem ? thanks

I would suggest first having a look at How do I clean my CD recorder? I would have to say that you should never have to clean a CD or DVD drive, and if you really really really can't resist, try using some canned air using extreme care.
If you don't already have canned air, and don't have any other optical drive "snake oil" remedies, then I would say the likelihood of effecting a sound repair based on investment in such would not be in your favor.

OK, so I installed vmware workstation 10 on windows 8.1 update. I got the above error. "No problem" I thought, and followed the community and googled advice, I:
1) uninstalled vmware
2) disabled my antivirus (Kaspersky)
3) ran the installer "As administrator" (I'm a member of the local administrators group, so hopefully anything else that doesn't require elevated permissions would be OK)
Result: Virtual Network Editor does not show VMnet0, but I see it in C:\ProgramData\VMware\netmap.conf

Looking at the properties of my network adapter (Intel(R) Ethernet Connection I217-LM) I see the vmware bridge protocol and the vmnetbridge service is running.
So next I try the "restore defaults" in the network editor - no change. I try removing the protocol from the adapter and I get error 0x80070005 but if i click OK and go back into the properties, it's gone. I can't add it back, because I'm told it's marked for deletion. So I reboot, try to add it, and I get access denied, but again if I close the dialog, and go back, the service is now there.
I'm just in a workgroup and i have not applied any Group Policies...
Happy to try any suggestions...

Uninstalling AntiVirus and or EndPoint Security software has been discussed a considerable number of times and has been discussed for many years and uninstalling any given AntiVirus and or EndPoint Security software is SOP when dealing with some issues with VMware Type 2 Hypervisors, especially when there are Network related issues. well today my ipod became frozen with the "Do not disconnect" screen. i toggled the hold switch, held down the menu and play button, and did everything the support said. but theres no response. Is there any other tips besides letting the battery drain or taking it to some ipod place or something.

You are not resetting the iPod correctly.
To reset the iPod, hold down Menu+Select for 6-10 seconds (assuming you have an iPod nano/iPod with click wheel).

HT204266 i got this new 4th gen. itouch but it wont let me download apps. i type the password and it says waiting under the icon but it doesnt download. then it tells me that it cant connect to itunes. whys this happening?

10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) is an upgrade from Leopard, which you apparently have (10.5.8).
iTunes 11 requires 10.6.8 (not 10.8.6 as you have typed). If your Mac is an Intel one with at least 1Gb of RAM then you can buy Snow Leopard in the online Apple Store (type 'Snow Leopard' in the search box rather than browsing for it).
Once installed, download the combo updater to bring it up to 10.6.8:

You will then be able to install iTunes 11. However if your Mac has a PPC processor you cannot install Snow Leopard and will be unable to proceed. To check this, choose 'About This Mac' from the Apple menu and look where it says 'Processor' - it needs to say 'Intel' for you to be able to upgrade.

Hi, I am developing my first application using Struts and JSP. The Action Form loads an object called reportGrid into session and I am trying to display it on a JSP page. Displaying simple variables works fine, but I can display an object. The error I receive is: Don't know how to iterate over supplied "items"
My object is made up of a group of ArrayLists looks similar to this this:
