Yes I screwed up iTunes, iPhone and iPad, but I'm sure you guys can fix it, right?

Ok, so I re-formatted my hard drive and re-installed osx without realizing that I hadn't saved my songs and my aperture library file. At least i have my 10,000+photos on my external drives in a nice folder structure!
Here's the catch - I had all songs and apps on my iphone and ipad - when i upgraded to iOS5 on the phone, I lost it all becuase i had to re-sync the phone wiht the computer -
now i have all my songs and apps on the ipad, but I am still missing my purchased music content. I have a record of my purchases in the itunes store account section, but how can i get this stuff off the ipad and then sync to my computer/phone? Anyone? Bueller, Bueller, Bueller?
Okay mac geniuses and work-arounders, I need some good ideas -
I did download and use a program called Senuti to get my songs off the ipad, but for some reason it wouldn't copy the purchased content and woudln't copy the apps.
Good luck! I'm ready and waiting for all ideas, and A HUGE thank you in advance for all your help!

never-mind- i was able to use file- transfer purchases-
only weird thing - when i called applecare, they didn't mention this little tid-bit.

Well, it seems waiting is not my strong suit..! I renamed a javascript file called recovery to sessionstore. This file was in the folder sessionstore-backups I had copied from mozilla 3 days ago, when my tabs were still in place. I replaced the sessionstore in mozilla's default folder with the renamed file and then started mozilla. And the tabs reappeared as they were 3 days ago!
So there goes the tab problem. But again when I started mozilla the window saying "a script has stopped responding" appeared, this time the script being: chrome//browser/contenttabbrowser.xml2542
If someone knows how to fix this and make firefox launch normally, please reply! Thank you

At this point you have the option of keeping a device optimized version (lower resolution version) of your photo on your phone while iCloud stores a full resolution version. Or keeping the full resolution version on both your phone and the iCloud. If you delete the photo on your phone it will be deleted on the iCloud. I know, bummer. Also it should be noted that the photos app and the library are still in beta and to this point i see why. I would use dropbox or a smiliar app for off device storage.
So far this is how it has been working/not working for me. Whether or not I choose to keep originals or optimized on my phone it will only keep the originals and it has only been uploading lower resolution versions of my photos to the iCloud library. Seems to be working in reverse.
Again these are still in beta so i am hopeful that this will be fixed in the near future.

You can update it on your computer, but then when he syncs it to his own it will say this iphone is already synced with another itunes account bla bla and will ask you if you want to sync it with this account. It will wipe anything you put on it using your own itunes account. BUT it wont wipe off the new iOS5

The Apple IDs from @mac.com and @me.com (Older MobileMe and more recent iCloud Names) are also Valid AIM Screen names.
Any other sort of Apple ID is not a Valid AIM Name.
A Google ID that is associated with Google Mail Account (And has "Talk" enable on your Google Settings) can be used in iChat as Jabber Name/ID. (Google Run Jabber server).
Jabber and AIM are different IM Services and it is not easy or straight forward to add Buddies from one Service to the Buddy List of another. (As A Starting point consider it "impossible")
iChat 4 and 5 have links to the registration page of @Mac.com here with a "Get an iChat Account" button in the add (Account) screen (You select @mac.com or MobileMe and then press the Button - Choosing AIM and then pressing the button used to lead to the AIM registration page but AIM moved their page).
Apple IDs can be any valid email (or an @mac.com or iCloud registration)
Therefore you could make a Google ID into an Apple ID.
However this will not be a valid AIM Screen Name the way @mac.com or MobileMe/iCloud ones are.

Since you give no clue as to what make/model/version WiFi router you are using or how you have it configured it's hard to comment.

Depends on whether your carrier supports Personal Hotspot & how/if they charge for this feature. Some carriers include Personal Hotspot as part of your data plan, some require it be provisioned on your account. Contact your carrier & see what their requirements are. The fact that you have the Personal Hotspot setting indicates your carrier supports this feature.

Delete your mail account from Mail preferences and set it up again using the Mail Server Information.

I run on an exchange server through Comcast. My exchange mail works perfectly on my iPhone and iPad but doesn't work properly most of the time on my MacBook Pro. My MacBook is not that old. This happened with Snow Leopard. I just updated to Lion and it's happening with Lion too. It's happening with iCal, Contacts and Outlook too. Any ideas why it's working fine on iPhone and iPad but problems on the MacBook Pro? This is very frustrating. I'm having to respond to emails on my iPad when I'm right next to my laptop. Gmail emails work fine with laptop. Seems to be a problem with my MacBook and exchange server. Thank you.
