I called Verizon Wireless and they gave me the number: 1-866-962-3713 -- which asks if you're calling about the 1GB rewards offer - if you select this option it says "We are aware of customers having problems with this offer and hope to have it resolved soon. Please check back again." So, will try again in a few days.
The original technical support rep I spoke to from the main line was incredibly helpful (helped me find the 866 number above). A+.

Sounds a bit odd to me. Like Gene says, if you are signed in to the Desktop Application Manager, it should recognize you and the plan you are on, and let you install LR without asking for a serial number. Try signing out of the Desktop Application Manager by clicking on the cog icon > Preferences > Account tab > sign out. Then sign back in again. This forces the Desktop Application Manager to scan your system (it normally only does so once every 24 hours looking for updates).
If LR is still not inviting you to Install it, then sign in to your Adobe account . See what it says under My Subscriptions. I don't have the Photography plan, so don't know what you should see, but I imagine it will be obvious. Click on Manage and see if that makes sense.
If still in trouble, I think you would do better starting a thread in the Creative Cloud forum that deals specifically with this sort of issue. You'll also find some FAQ links on that page that will likely give you a clue as to what is going on.
Bottom line is I have never been asked for a serial number installing LR from the CC Desktop Application Manager. -
I have 2 iphones, 1 personal and 1 business. I thought I was supposed to have 2 separate itunes accounts. I now have a work ipad and want to only have 1 itunes account that I can use for all 3 devices. How do I cancel 1 account or just combine the 2?
I want to be able to transfer my apps from my original itunes account that I have on my personal iphone 3 and work ipad 3 to my work iphone 4S ,as well as purchase more more apps for the work iphone with the original itunes account. Plus I need to sync all 3 of them with my work tower computer. I really appreciate you're trying to help me out.

i bought a used iphone 4 (gsm) and it was locked on an icloud account i asked the old owner to remove the device from his devices list on icloud and he did but the iphone is still asking to be activated on his icloud account. any help please???
If it's still asking for the seller's Apple ID and password, then he most likely did not actually remove the iPhone from iCloud. If the problem persists, return the iPhone and get your money back. The seller can figure out the problem and resell the iPhone later.

I'm using ezcap.tv 116 ezgamer capture card to record my PS3, this is on a windows laptop, Im then moving the recorded videos in mpg format over to my MacBook Pro to use IMovie to edit them so i can upload them to youtube but it won't let me import them, even after changeing them to MP4 format, it just comes up with the message: "No Importable Files None of the selected files or folders can be imported. Change the selection and try again."
Ive even tried opening in itunes and copying from thier but they wont open in Itunes, no message or anything they simple just dont open. its strange because it does open in quicktime player.

The computer is designed so that at max load, at max fan speed, it won't overheat (unless it's obstructed by something, e.g. sitting on your bed swallowed by a comforter). It's not the best thing to keep it that toasty for days at a time, but a couple hours at a time shouldn't be a problem.
Second problem: If something in the trash won't delete, just use Secure Empty Trash and it should be fine. Since .torrent files are quite small, it should only take a couple seconds. -

I have taken delivery of a 12inch G4 powerbook today,
I ordered it through my university and I thought I was supposed to get a full version of office as it was thorugh an academic institution, I find I only have the test version,
Am I supposed to get the full version. I'm sure it said it was when I ordered it.
thanksIt is possible they were offering a rebate w/purchase of Office. I've seen that advertised a few months ago locally.
The Student/Teacher edition was free after rebate with supporting purchase of any Macintosh product.
But, you had to lay out the cash at the register to get Office, first. It wasn't free "out the door". Since it has only been a couple days, I'd call the store up and ask them about the offer. Maybe your salesperson did not know of the add-on? -
I thought I was supposed to clear out my iPad before I updated it. Now it's empty and stuck in the plug into iTunes icon. Done--now what??
Try and force iPad into Recovery Mode:
1. Turn off iPad. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, slide to turn off.
2. Connect USB cable to computer; leave the other end alone
3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
5. Release the Home button
6. Open iTune (make sure you have the newest version of iTune)
7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"
8. Use iTune to restore iPad
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad -
How do you create a link to a pdf in Muse? Thought it was going to show that with Katie's menu and can't find in any of the tutorials.
The steps would be :
- Add files from file menu > select pdf > add to site
- Select the content (rectangle,text etc) and click on hyperlink dropdown > it should show you the added files list
- Select the file you want to link

I have Adobe Creative Cloud, I thought FormsCentral was supposed to be apart of that. Why do I need to pay so much more to add FormsCentral. Is there something in the Creative Cloud that will work the same way?

I rented a movie last night on my Apple TV through the iTunes Store. I received a notice asking me to enter my security code from my debit card. I did that, however I never received any confirmation regarding the movie. It charged my iTunes account, and 15 hours later, the movie is still nowhere to be found on my Apple TV. You aren't talking to Apple here, we are just users like yourself that try to help others out, we cant look in your account, but you can see Your Purchase History on your computer.

I need help. I recently had my cpu serviced by Geek Squad, They completely renamed the CPU and now all of the music I imported is gone. I dont even have my library anymore. I can usually click on itunes and play music from my library. Its all gone. I have authorized this "new" computer for my account but I still dont have my library. I even went in and deauthorized the computer under the old name. I am very frustrated, as i have some songs which were purchased on itunes on my phone but not all of the music that was imported from CDs. Most of which I got rid of once I imported them into my library. all I want is my entire library back. On my old iphone 3g, which I let my kids use, my entire library is there but on my 4gS, i only have the music which was purchased through itunes. I miss my songs and have no idea where to begin with this process.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup cop of your computer.

No. Provided the computer that you use to upload / match your Songs is authorised to play all of the Songs all works well - once complete you can download Song files that will play on your libraries / other computers without each computer having to be authorised.

Kaspersky... I thought it was suppose to be better than Norton
I purchased an HP G62-465DX Notebook PC last Sunday (04/03/11) & it came with a six month subscription of Kaspersky Lab. I installed the antivirus software before I did anything else as instructed, but now after only turning my computer on three times there's an infected message under the Kaspersky detected threats tab. Does that mean my computer is infected?

If indeed this message means that my laptop is infected, why did this happen? I installed Kaspersky before I even used the computer, why was I not protected? On another note, the only websites I have gone to have been MSN (homepage), AOL & GMAIL (personal email), Bank of America, & Best Buy. Where did I pick up the virus? I’m so confused.
