Yesterday I was pushed into the sea with my Iphone 5s in my back pocket, as I got out I took my phone out of my pocket and it turned itself off. I have tried many ways but still is unsuccessful and wont turn on, what shall I do?

I was pushed into the sea with my iphone 5s in my back pocket, I got out and pulled my phone out of my back pocket and it turnt itself off. I went straight home and tried using a hair dryer but was unsucessful, put it in rice which also failed and i left it screen up on the radiator over night but still wouldnt turn on. It has charge on it although i still tried plugging it in to give it power and still was unable to power up. Can anyone give any suggestions on how i can fix it as for its not even 2 months old.

If you're going to put a phone in rice (not daft at all, the rice acts as a dessicant), it needs to be for a few days, not a few hours. The OP stated in their post that the did put it in rice. In addition to the liquid damage, salt water is also much more corrosive to electronics than plain water. The rice won't help with the salt.

I went to a friend of my wifes daughters graduation party saturday and as i was standing by the edge some kids ran up behind me and pushed me in with shoes, wallet, keys, and MY IPHONE! Its now monday and it has been soaking in rice for 2 days now and still nothing, I've heard of people getting an appointment with the genuis desk and the service rep just giving them a brand new device. Is this a rare occurance or something I could be lucky enough to get? I am a navy veteran maybe that will help? ha i dunno but has anyone heard of this I have an appointment in the morning just wanted to know what to expect. Thanks!

That is great to hear. I ended up getting Squaretrade warranty on mine just in case something like this happens and Apple doesnt have it in them to replace mine after a year or so.

Have you failed to regularly backup the device to iTunes or iCloud? If so, the data is gone.
If there are backups, restore the most current one from prior to the data disappearing.

Quit Safari, find the com.apple.Safari.plist file in your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences Folder, drag it to the Desktop, log out/in or restart and let us know what happens.

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

I have always used Lightroom with a PC and now have installed Lightroom 3.6 on my new iMac. I cannot import raw (NEF) files from iPhoto (or from my Lacie drive for that matter into Lightroom. I have tried Lightroom Help to no avail. How do I import NEF files from the iMac into Lightroom?

If they are the same nef files that you were importing into your PC, see if the reason is an error message like the thread above this one. Permissions issue.
