Hello! Need of help.
Context. I speak a little mac, but please dumb stuff down for me - like give me processes, otherwise I get a bit lost
Yesterday my EHD worked.
I haven't changed anything. Although I did recently run a software update (I'm on LION)
Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63b)
Today it doesn't work.
I've tried plugging it into the other usb port but still nothing. I tried resetting but still nothing. I tried blowing into the ports. Nothing.
I tried a few things on the support forum including running something through terminal, I can't really remember what I did but that didn't work.
I also tried doing a disk repair thingo but I'm pretty sure the EHD wasn't listed on the left bit.
I have a usb stick and that is being detected by the macbook. Just nada when it's my ehd.

The point though is you still have your data. Had it been the internal hard drive that failed you would have the external to work from. Remember, any hard drive can fail. In fact IT professionals will tell you that there are two types of hard drives - those that have failed and those that are going to fail. The only question is when.
Many external hard drives come with warranties, how long they are depends on the manufacturer. Give them a call, you may be able to get a new one for free. Worth a shot, anyway.

Cannot run javascript - options/content does not even show javascript

try using options/content - does not even show javascript option. i uninstalled program and re-installed and get the same result. using xp.

Is this a global problem that JavaScript is not running on any site? The on/off setting is still available in the about:config preferences editor.

Does that fix it or are particular sites still problematic?
One way that your normal default preferences could be changed is by an extension, and another is by external software creating a user.js file. If this problem recurs, you can investigate both of those.

For what purpose are you trying to pair them?
Only supported peer to peer apps such as photo transfer or multiplayer games can connect to other iOS devices via Bluetooth. You initiate the connection inside the app running on both devices.

Pavilion dv7 laptop ac adapter problem. It works, but Windows 7 does not recognize it anymore.

The ac adapter works, and the battery remains at 100%, but the icon never switches from battery to AC. The laptop will not turn on without the battery and just AC, yet the adapter keeps the battery charged at 100%. Windows 7 will not perform some of the updates when it thinks it is running on battery.
Any ideas?

I am having the same issue with my G61. I apologize in advance for hi jacking your post and leaving such a long reply but maybe it will help both of us in the long run.
The problem started off by everyonce in a while my battery icon showing my battery needed replaced. I ran the battery tool and it said the battery was bad. I eventually replaced the battery to no avail. Here is everything that I have done and noted while dealing with this problem. After replacing the battery the battery tool would not run saying that in order for the test to work the AC adapter needs to be plugged in (computer will only work with the AC adapter plugged in). If I am using the computer and the adapter happens to come unplugged it almost instantly goes into a permenant sleep and I have to hard reset and plug the adapter back in in order to use the laptop.
The icon at the bottom of the screen does not show the battery charging. It only shows the battery in good standing and its current power level. If I remove the battery it changes to no battery present.
Some wierd things that are going on are the computer will boot up on battery power alone but as soon as windows is loading at the desktop it will go back into permenant sleep and will have to hard reset. Also the computer will not power on with the battery removed and the AC adapter plugged in but all my power indicators are lit up showing its getting power.
I just recently upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate and performed all the updates thinking that maybe that would fix the problem. But it did not. Although now when I run the battery tool it does not tell me to plug in the AC adapter. It goes through the process and tell me that everyting is OK and my battery checks out fine.
One thing that gives me hope that its a software issue is that I have no issue using the battery when running Windows in any version of SAFE MODE. I can run it till the battery dies without it going into permenant sleep.
I have read that it could be a motherboard issue but not sure how to verify. Any help to help us figure this out would be fantabulous.

In Mail's Window Menu, choose Connection Doctor, any red dots for status, if so what is the exact message?

Firefox will not start. browser window does not even show up.

When i click on the firefox startup icon (either in the startup menu or the desktop shortcut), i get nothing. I have ccleanup browser monitor running for cleanup and i get an indication from there that firefox has stopped.
I've tried uninstalling firefox and have tried a couple of the more recent versions and still get this problem. After reinstalling firefox it seems to work for a few days and then this happens again. Once it starts, the only way is to reinstall firefox, but that's clearly not the answer to the problem.

Makes no difference whether I am in safe mode in the browser, and/or safe mode in the PC.
FF21: fresh install on Win 7 works fine.
Shutdown: restart: FF21 blocks at ~50 meg of program loaded, eventually opening up, but still unusably slow.
AV turned off, Firewall turned off - no different.
FF21 Hardware acceleration turned off - no different.
Fresh install AGAIN - works fine.

Cannot Update Intex Cloud FX - Does Not Even Show Current Version?

Now my biggest problem is - When I try to update, it shows me an error - "There was an error while checking for updates".
The problem is, it does not show what version FF OS is currently there on the phone as well...

Some apps do indeed come off the market. The vendor stops selling or supporting them for whatever reason.
That is likely what happened.
See if the app is still in the App Store. If so, you can download it. If not, it is gone.

My netflix account used to work, but now it does not. Only the "my account" page is accessible and not the main page. Major problem. Please help. I'd rather run an older version than one that doesn't work.

I believe I was running a 6.3.as.df,msad.f,masdf version of Firefox and my Netflix account was working wonderfully well. I happened to hit the quit button last time, instead of the save and quit button and for some reason, Netflix did not load properly. I cleared the day's history, as usual, and tried again. This usually works. I closed Firefox and tried to reopen it, but it said Firefox was already running, that I would have to restart my computer to solve the issue. I did that twice. Finally, I noticed Firefox was trying to download a new version -- even though I don't recall asking it to do so. Now I'm running 7.0 and my Netflix page doesn't work. I am logged in - great - but I can only access "My Account and Help" page and "Viewing History" but nothing else. Lame! I would love to know how to get this to work. I can't even pull up Netflix's main page on its own. All other websites seem to be working properly. PLEASE ASSIST!

If this were just a Netflix problem, why can I access Netflix through Internet Explorer and not through Firefox? I've been using Firefox to access Netflix for at least the past year and starting yesterday (12/6/11) Firefox doesn't seem to recognize that Netflix exists. I've tried the suggested Firefox "help" which was of no help whatsoever and may even have made life more difficult in accessing other accounts. I cannot log in to my site on this browser but can on others. It did work but now it does not?

For some reason after working for months when the home screen of my site appears and I have to log in the page just takes me back to the log in again. I have tried this on other computers using Firefox and the problem is repeated. If I change browser I can log in without issue. This problem only started today. This can be caused by corrupted cookies or cookies that are blocked (check the permissions on the about:permissions page).
