How could it have been a brand new phone if there were already pictures on it?
I'd ask for your money back.

I just bought a brand new iPhone 5s and a huge problem is that when i try to sync my music to my iPhone 5s, under the music tab it says that i can only access my music via iCloud. is there anyway to sync your music from your computer?????
The ! sign before the song means that the actual song is no longer on your computer and/or iTunes library.

I bought a brand new iPhone that Apple support says it is a replacment, what shall I do?
I bought a brand new iPhone 4 that has started to over-heat, since the first usage, and when I tried to contact Apple support online, they ask for the serial number for the phone that when entered it said "this serial number is for a product that has been replaced, please enter the replacment serial number for warranty info etc..
What shall I do to get a replacement(for the overheat problem)? even though I bought it brand new!!!!
Not to mention the main problem that got me into this which is the excessive heat that makes using the iphone 4 impossible!!!Well, it is not a well known retailer and I am sure that going to him and telling him this won't make a difference to him, he might be even not aware of the whole thing.
Rather than not having an Apple retail store here in Jordan, if I want to let Apple check the iphone I'll have to DHL it to a country with Apple retail store available in it! -

I just got a brand new iPhone 4S on a contract from my local Three store. When I used the cloud restore to put the data from my old 3GS onto the device, it's prompting me for an Apple ID login with an email address (hotmail) that isn't mine! My old phone has NEVER had any Apple ID other than mine log into it, and the new one's a sealed box that I've opened and set up from scratch. Can anyone please explain this? I'm worried there's some kind of problem with my iCloud data being mixed with someone else's or something... Since I logged in with my own ID, it's downloaded the data perfectly fine, but I just got the Apple ID prompt again a moment ago with this same hotmail address in it... I'd be very grateful for any explanation!
In iTunes on your computer, select the Purchased section under STORE in the left column. Click on the first track and choose "Get Info" from the "File" menu.
In the "Summary" tab you'll see details of the purchaser of the track. Click Next to go through all your purchased music one by one until you find the ones you need to get rid of.
Unfortunately, there are no smart playlist rules that can filter tracks by the purchaser that I know of. -
Hi
I have bought an Iphone 4 from ebay. It was listed as brand new and on o2. The phone has never been activated but it won't take an o2 sim, in fact I've tried the majority of the UK networks and it just keeps saying sim not supported please insert the original sim. The seller is very unhelpful and I'm a bit lost now. Can anyone help? I'm an iphone novice, am I doing something wrong? The only option here is to contract 02 and ask them why the phone won't work. If the phone is supposedly locked to 02, then they are the only ones who can help you. Try contacting them to see.
If they can't help you, then I'm afraid that you have been had on ebay and it is never a good idea to purchase iPhones and anything of an expensive nature there - you can never trust what people say.
You need to contact the seller and either ask for the original sim card for the phone and if the phone is actually locked to 02 or you just tell them that you are returning the phone for a full refund.
If the seller is not being helpful, then you can file a dispute with ebay and ebay will then sort it out for you and you should be able to return the phone for a full refund.
Bottom line: Don't buy an iPhone from ebay and if you want an iPhone on 02, go to an 02 store and buy one - they have plenty in stock - my local branch has iPhone 5's in stock and they still have the iPhone 4's if you want one. -
Bassically i just got my new iphone 5, everything was going fine up untill the Apple ID login box started appearing and then dissapearing before i get the chance to type the password. It pops up every 10 to 20 seconds, and dissapears just as quick as it popped up. I have turned the device on and off, and I have rebooted it. I checked for 'waiting downloads' or 'paused downloads' and there are none. i can still use everything on the phone, but this log in box popping up so often is going to get extremely annoying, im already contemplating sending it back!!!
PROBLEM SOLVED! HAHA
I did a full restore via iTunes. -

Can you do a Reset by holding the Sleep button and the Home button at the same time for about 20 seconds?

Brand new iphone 4 switching off every 5 minutes
I just bought a brand new iphone 4 with Vodaphone - I followed the instructions that came with the device, and plugged it into a freshly-updated itunes and with updated Mac OS software and was asked to restore it to follow my old iphone which was a 3GS.
From then I tried to install the new iphone software - but the device keeps switching itself off every 4/5 minutes and then after a couple of minutes back on, even when plugged into to the laptop...
I finally had it on long enough to start installing the software, but every time it got near to finishing it switched off and on again. I ejected the device and plugged it into a power-source instead and let it charge all day....it is still turning on and off every few minutes, and has about 10% battery even though it's been charging for 7 hours...
It's brand new, and this is very frustrating...any help would be great!
ThanksIf it won't stay on long enough to charge or restore the iOS in iTunes, there's a serious hardware problem. Since it's "brand new", get Vodafone to replace it. If not, take it to an Apple Store Genius Bar for warranty replacement.

Brand new iPhone 4 (unlocked), got it activated yesterday, and speakers doesn't work, did restore back to factory settings, not luck, any suggestions. This iPhone was purchased in US, currently in India, will Apple support in India?
There are many threads on this forum regarding speaker not working issues. You might try searching them. Hopefully you'll find the answer you need.
BTW, the iPhone only has ONE speaker. -
I just bought a brand new iPhone 5 (White and Gold) and have been having trouble keeping it connected to my BlueTooth Stereo. The stereo was purchased brand new back in September and is current on all software. Before I had my iPhone 5, I had the iPhone 4 and had no troubles with it connecting or remembering to connect to the stereo when it was in range. Now, in order to connect to it, I have to first "forget the device" then search for it again, find it, and connect. As soon as I turn either the stereo off, turn the iPhone off, or switch modes on the stereo (to CD mode, radio, etc) it loses the connection and does not pick it up again. It still shows up in my list of available bluetooth devices, but when I try to connect it says "Connection Unsuccessful: Make sure '____' is turned on and in range" which of course, it is.
I bought this stereo because I am a music teacher and use my phone frequently when teaching my classes. You can probably imagine how cumbersome it becomes when after each class if I have alternated between using my iPhone to play music or switching to CD mode, I then need to "forget the device" and follow the steps I outlined above to get it working again.
Has anyone else had this problem with the new iPhone and does anyone have a solution (I HOPE!!!!!)
Thanks!
-Disgruntled Music TeacherI've not seen this type of behavior, but see if this support document helps. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1664

Just bought a brand new iphone 5. But the battery doesnt even last. I have changed all the location services n all. Still it doesnt last even half day. And the usage isnt heavy. My wife is using it, so it doesnt have a heavy usage. Tried every thing.
Gidday, I had the same problem when I bought my iPhone 5. If you drain the battery right down to nothing until it is completely flat and then recharge it 100%, drain it again, and fully charge it you should be good to go.
Hope this works..... -
Say I bought a brand new iphone 5s from a cell phone store or a store like Walmart or somewhere. Would the new iOS 8 already be on there or could I just not install the new update somehow? Because I don't like the new iOS 8 and I just want the iOS 7 on there
It depends on how long the phone has been sitting on the shelf. If it's been there since before the release of iOS 8, then it will have iOS 7 on it.
There is no way to determine the version of iOS prior to buying the phone.

hi i just got a brand new iphone 5s i connected to itunes to restore all my data from the previous phone. when all the back up is finished i still cant use the phone as it ask me to restart again.... dont know what to do i tryed to restore 3/4 times but again when the restore is completed i still can't use the phone????
Replacements via Apple tech support are usually refurbished units, not new stock, though none of us here can say with certainty what you will receive. But you will not be able to tell the difference between new stock and a refurbished unit, and refurbished units generally go through more extensive testing than do new units, so getting a refurb may well be better than getting new stock.
