Yo' iOs 4.2 Users, This thing must get Fixed!!!

Simply, a iPad screen automatically orients depends on your hold and use, and thats a nice thing, but since I upgraded to 4.2 and clicked twice on homebutton which opens the multitasking bar, once its opened, just try to flip the ipad use it in a different position that you think it will as usual changes orientation automatically, but no, you will see no automatic screen orientation change! It just freezes once you double tap homebutton and shows the multitasking bar!
The screen orientation will not change as long as you have the multitasking bar shown, you have to close it and then it will automatically changes! Thats not a good thing and it needs a fix from Apple..

Why on earth would you change your screen orientation after opening the multitasking bar? It's there for you to quickly change apps or control ipod/brightness/screen lock. Why would you need to change the orientation in the middle of doing this? It just doesn't make ANY sense at all.

Try going into your settings and 'reset all settings'
You will need to retweak your device but it's been said to help with sound issues.

Sorry, quite right. My note was not helpful, just plain frustrated. the sync does not hold. So the phone keeps trying to establish the synchronization. Thus, it zero's out the emails and intermittently does not hold the calendar, the phone shows the calendar unchecked. When you manually recheck the calendar it begins to sync. There was quite a lot of blogging about the issues of exchange and the iphone. Also contacts will revert to telphone numbers only with the name of the individuals disappearing. After sync is restablished everything looks normal and then when it losses synchronicity, it starts all over again. It is happening as I type. There were a nbr of user suggestions about how to maintain stablility with synchronicity. However, none of the issues resolved the matter. I have spoken with my IT department. What settings do you have for exchange....what version of exchange. I also heard the apple dismissed its chief overseeing this aspect of the iphone 5 because of the issues.
Apple is very unhelpful....

Adobe Send - Problem with uploading files. When is this going to get fixed?

When is the Adobe Send problem with uploading files going to get fixed. Similar to others - I have tried and tried to make Adobe Send work and get an error. I have tried to upload the file and it looks like it uploads and then - it is nowhere to be found.
I then go to Adobe Send Now and it works fine.

The problem is the same as described in other similar threads.
I have a 57 MB PowerPoint file I am trying to send using Adobe Send. I go through the normal steps to identify the file and select recipients and then send the file. After the file completes the upload - an error saying there was a problem comes up and the file is not uploaded.
I have tried to upload the file to the site with similar results - error and the file doesn't go.
I can go to the old SendNow site and it works flawlessly.
If I need to get screenshots - let me know. There are several other threads describing this same problem. It isn't something new or not heard of before.

After upgrading to aperture 3.3 on mountain lion aperture no longer recognizes DNG files.
I have many DNG files already in my library. Aperture shows the thumbnail and will briefly flash what I think is the preview of the file but quickly changes to a gray triangle saying "unsupported image format". After which the thumbnail is replaced with an all black thumbnail.
Needless to say this is extremely disconcerting. I am concerned that aperture is not only refusing to display the existing DNG files but is also simultaneously corrupting the library and destroying my existing images.
fwiw, these DNG files were generated with a leica.
I have not attempted to import DNG images into my aperture library but I assume that would not go well.

if it is the native raw format, that no longer is recognized, then try, if registering the CoreTypes.bundle with the OS again will help. This will tell MacOS which raw format types (and other media types) are supported.
Open a Terminal window and paste following line into the window, hit return. This is one very long line:
/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchSe rvices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -R /System/Library/CoreServices/CoreTypes.bundle/Contents/Library

P.S: Some browsers cause a blank to be inserted between /Frameworks/LaunchSe rvices.framework/Versions
But it is "LaunchServices.framework", without blank. All in one line - the only blanks are needed between "lsregister" and "-R" and after "-R" .

Push Gmail... this needs to get fixed

I don;t know why they support yahoo and other services but they really need to add push for Gmail. Ive talked to both companies and it seems like its on apple's end that the problem is.... fix it! The apple guy on the support line even said he thinks they should fix it! It doesnt seem like it would be that big if a problem to correct.

Since the iPhone supports push access with other email accounts that provide and support push access - with a Yahoo account, an Exchange account accessed via ActiveSync, and with a MobileMe account, this is up to Google and Google only to provide/support Push access with the iPhone's mail client.
To each his/her own, but I don't use Push access with my MM account. There isn't any email that I receive which is so important that it can't wait until my automatic check for new mail every 30 minutes, and I can always manually check for any new messages in between the automatic check by selecting the account's Inbox mailbox.

Save your money. The repair costs will be the same as buying a brand new Cinema Display. Dell sells the same IPS display with different connectors, but they include a 3 year warranty.

What "auto shutdown problem" are you talking about?

Another user who can't get this thing started, Listener will not operate!!!

I installed from root, used port 8085 for the database (8080 used by Tomcat) and 1521 for the listener. Logged out, log back in as user oracle. Takes three full minutes to "start" the listener, but netstat -a does not show any listener on port 1521, despite listener startup saying "Command successful". Starting database, then 'lsnrctl status' returns the following:

All firewalls are completly disabled, except for my router which has ports 8085 and 1521 open. So, 1) Where is the listing for the listening in netstat -a? and 2) Why are my database services blocked? I've been trying for a week to get this thing started, I need it for work. I can log in to the database through SqlPlus, so it is there and running fine, but the listener is not working, and I cannot get to the database home page.

Checked the listener log. Doesn't look good. Keep saying host or object does not exist!!

This message indicates that your phone was hacked or jailbroken to unlock it.
Then when you updated/restored your phone it locked back up to the original carrier.
Only the carrier that the phone is locked to can unlock it.
