Yoga 13 Win 7 Drivers

Hi All,
I have been trying for a long time to try and get Win7 (64bit) drivers installed but to no success for my wireless network on my Yoga 13.
I know form reading on here that there have been a lot of people putting windows 7 on as dual boot or solo installs.
I have tried searching on the Reltek website and trying there generic driver and also the windows 8 driver from Lenovo as well as searching windows update but no drivers will work.
When I fors a driver on it just says Failed to start code 10.
Please can you one who has put windows 7 on their Yoga 13 please help me in my quest to try and find a driver that works.
Also if there is some info on where I can ge the other drivers for windows 7?
Thanks for your help.
Silvio

Officially Windows 7 isn't supported on the Yoga 13. I would recommend using OneKey and restoring Windows 8, upgrade to Windows 8.1, install any necessary 8.1 drivers, and using a Windows 7 virtual machine if you need to keep Windows 7 around. Learn to use Windows 8.1 as your primary desktop...

I tried to partition him using bootcamp but didn't have mac os cd neither mac instalation. the problem i am dealing now its that i cant go back to OS partition since its not appeared when i restart c and no win drivers to have a properly running system. I've thought as an option to re-download boot-camp and run the instalation from windows partition and see if i can repair it that way, didnt try yet thought just in case anyone has a better prposition or dealed with the same problem

Take it to your local Apple Store or AASP, it's covered by a 1 year hardware warranty. If you have AppleCare then give them a call but I'm pretty sure they will advise the same. If you have not purchased AppleCare yet please do, this will extend the warranty to 3 years however it MUST be purchased within the first  year of ownership. Let it go 366 days and you are out of luck. AppleCare will also include telephone support too.
    Good luck.

  • Help with Boot Camp Drivers

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, but I need to know. I have been trying unsuccessfully for about a month now, and I cannot get Boot Camp drivers to work. I have consulted many guides from the internet, gone to a Mac Store for support, no help from either.
I am running on a new Macbook 13 inch with OS X 10.5.6. I have installed Windows XP with SP2 built in, and I have tried installing the drivers with the Leopard CD, with a downloaded drivers CD from a website, but it still doesn't work. I have no idea what I am doing wrong, but none of the drivers work. I see the Boot Camp Control Panel, but the only tabs it has is Power, Brightness, Restart in ..., and Remote. If anybody could help me with installing these drivers, it would be greatly appreciated.

Run Bootcamp assistant and choose to download the (correct) Win drivers for your machine on a USB drive. Then stop the Bootcamp install and go to install the drivers in Win.
    Cheers
    Simon

  • WoW + Wine crashes, seems to be sound related

I've been trying to get Wow to run in Wine, and I'm running into a few problems.  I'm using the latest nVidia drivers, wine-git from the AUR, and WoW is all patched up.  I boot into WoW and it seems to work fine for a few minutes.  Then, all of a sudden, it will crash.  It seems to crash right after Amarok changes songs.  I have Amarok playing through Pulseaudio, and I've tried WoW with both Pulseaudio+OSS Wine drivers and just straight ALSA Wine drivers.
Here is the console output I get:

Any ideas as to what may be causing this issue?
EDIT: I also noticed that it seemed to happen after I pushed down my Push to Talk button in Mangler.

  • Problem reading SD card on T400/Win XP Pro SP3

I have an SD card, which reads just fine on an olde T61. When I insert it into T400, I can browse the contents of the folders with no previews. When I am trying to copy a picture from the card to the computer, I have error message:
"Cannot copy <name>: The path is too deep."
I have all the updates installed through Lenovo update tool, and all windows updates installed as well.
Is there a solution to this problem? Has anyone experienced something similar?
    Thanks

I just got off the phone talking with Lenovo rep. He suggested the problem is caused by some incompatibility of SP3 with the SD card driver. The suggested fix is to follow the instructions here:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/itproxpsp/thread/b435c934-112b-4142-8bc5-496482c2c8...
Did anybody try this? I am quite hesitant to mess manually with the Win drivers. Any more ideas?
It seems strange, because the problem on that forum was reported in January, and apparently it has not been addressed by MS/Lenovo since then, with some automatic update.

  • Vista Drivers for Apple Bluetooth Keyboard in BootCamp?

I have a MacBook Pro 2.4, OSX 10.5.1, and have installed Boot Camp with Vista Ultimate.
I also have the Apple Bluetooth keyboard that has the numerical pad.
My keyboard works well but I cn not get the numerical pad to work.
I suspect it might be drivers for the keyboard.
I have installed the Leopard Win drivers for Boot Camp.
    No luck
    Any thoughts out there?
    Dunc

    Never mind,,,,,
I found an unmarked "Num Lock" key on the keyboard.
    am a happy camper now!

  • Yoga 11e + SCCM driver PAck / Touchscreen

Yoga11e touchscreen non functional after imaging with sccm + lenovo driver pack. Still trying to figure out why.

Both of those drivers are in the SCCM driver pack.  Are you using SCCM or MDT to do the deployment?
If SCCM, what version of SCCM and did you use the Auto Apply Driver or the Apply Drivers task item?
If MDT, did you specify the drivers in a selection profile that just has the Yoga 11e drivers and did you check the box to apply all the drivers in the profile?

  • Drivers for OpenSolaris

I've installed OpenSolaris 2008.05 on my Desktop PC; i've also installed, connected to the Internet with an UTP cable, all the packages for gcc.
Afterwards I tried to build a driver for an USB Wireless Adapter (Sitecom WL-142), using the file ndis-1.2.tar.gz and the Win drivers.
Following the file "How to build Wi-Fi drivers for OpenSolaris, txt", when I issue the command # make ndiscvt I get a list of errors.
Can anyone give me help or other ideas?

You posted this to a Hardware forum.
You have an issue with an OS that you've selected to use, not with your hardware.
I suggest you leave the post in the other forum web site active,
and hope for guidance over there.

[Sunblade 1500 systems|http://sunsolve.sun.com/handbook_pub/validateUser.do?target=Systems/eolSystemList&source=] were discontinued long before OpenSolaris was ever available. [An installable release of OpenSolaris wasn't available until 2008|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opensolaris#History] and no hardware manufacturer will to go backwards and make any effort to write device drivers. Neither can any hardware manufacturer be expected to go backwards and qualify a new OS for some computer model they havent made in years.
If there is no native support for the card (perhaps with a reconfiguration reboot?), then you can only hope for someone in the OpenSolaris community may want to write one for you. Your best hope would be to stay with the OpenSolaris Forums web site. There is nothing "OpenSolaris" here.

  • My report on installing Windows 7 RC x64 on my lenovo X200 (Still some help needed!)

I upgraded from Vista and for a brief moment everything seemed to work but then problems started and I did a clean install. BUT there are quite some issues:
    - Unknown PCI Simple Communications Controller in Device Manager (Which drivers are needed?)
    - Intel GMA driver reports to be installed but I don't have the Settings app to change power saving things and I don't have the GPU video acceleration as well as some problems with 3D Games (QuakeLive)
    - Fans seem to spin more than under Vista. Not sure about that one. (Have to observe with new drivers from lenovo)
    Fixed:
     - Can't install Bluetooth driver (No Device found) - Installed the OSD Package following a guide posted somewhere on the board (manual registry key added, installed in vista mode) and could then enable BT using the Fn Keys and the Drivers were installed automatically by Wind7 after that
    - Fn+F2 (Lock) does not work, Fn+F5 (WiFi&Bluetooth) does not work - Same fix as BT issue
    - Brightness change does not show the green onscreen bar, does not work after sleep - Fixed through the Hotkeys Driver for Win7 (provided by lenovo on the Win7 Beta Drivers page)
    - Power Manager - New Drivers for Win7 by lenovo
Doesn't work but it's crap anyways:
    - Presentation Director won't install correctly
    Doesn't work but not important:
    - Audio Driver from lenovo only worked after "Install with recommended Settings" and the SmartAudio pane in the Control Panel does not work so I uninstalled and the Win drivers work perfectly
    - Fn+Pause (doesn't do anything)
    - Fn+PrtSc (doesn't do anything)
    - Intel AMT wouldn't install (I'm not in an Enterprise Environment so I don't need it anyways)
    What works:
    - Active Protection
    - Camera (at least it installed. Didn't try it out)
    - All other Fn Keys, Volume Buttons, Onscreen Display of volume/ThinkLight change
    - Intel Matrix and Turbo Memory drivers installed
    - lenovo System Interface installed
    - WLan (Out of the box and after I killed it with the deinstallation of Access Connections, worked again with Intel drivers)
    - Fingerprint (Win Update)
    - Chipset (Win Update)
    - LAN (Win Update)
    - Display (Win Update)
    - Power Management Driver (Win Update)
    - Trackpint (Win Update)
    - Audio (Out of the box)
    - Modem Drivers installed
    Untested/Not Installed:
    - Easy Eject Utility (Not needed anymore with new Win7 Driver behavior)
    - ThinkVantage Menu & Message Center
    - Access Connections
It works quite well but the GMA and Brightness issues are really annoying! BUT I hate it, that the System Update App isn't available anymore and stopped working with Vista SP2 (RC). One app which manages all the Driver and support software installation is just perfect! I hope lenovo will release something like it again (Maybe as a sidetab in the official Win7 Update app )
Does someone know how I can fix the the red problems?
    Thank you.

    Grüezi Christian:
I did a clean installation (as opposed to an upgrade) of W7 RC on my W500, and discovered that all of the problem you mention are quite easily solved.  Basically, they seem to be caused by the computer needing the correct device driver for the item - in other words, the device driver is not provided on the W7 CD, you need to get it from the Lenovo website.
In your case, because you did an upgrade install (rather than wiping your hard drive and doing a clean install), chances are that you already have the required drivers present on your computer.  They will be located at the root level of your 'C:' drive in a folder entitled 'drivers' (in other words, C:/drivers/).
All you have to do is point your computer in the correct direction, to assist it to find the driver that is present on your hard drive.
Here is how I recommend you proceed:
    1) Open the Device Manager.  In W7, you can accomplish this from the control panel (Start - Control Panel - Device Manager).
    2) Look for an item in the device manager that the computer is unhappy about.  These are normally identified with exclamation points or similar icons beside them.
    3) Right-click on one of these problem items, and choose 'Update Driver Software'.
    4) Select the lower option (the non-default option), which is 'Browse my computer for driver software'.
    5) In the window that appears, use the browse button to navigate to C:/Drivers, and confirm that the check box 'include subfolders' is checked.
    6) Press the NEXT button.  The computer will then go fishing through the C:/Drivers folder, find what it needs, and install it.
You will have to iterate this procedure for each item in the device driver list that shows a problem.  It may also be necessary to reboot the computer after each iteration.
Hopefully, this will solve your problems.  Please let us know what your experience is.
    gruss,
    Michael

  • N9A2 Platinum, Installing XP Pro, SP2, Cannot find SATA Hard Drives

I am lost here.  I cannot get the bios to recognize the HDs as SATA drives, and XP Pro does not find the HDs (of course), and I do not know why.  Do I need a SATA driver floppy for the Install Win drivers <f6> ?  I thought not from the other threads here.  I am not using Raid.
I have downloaded and read the manual from the support site, Support knowledgebase and every thread that I could find here in this forum.
My setup is the N9A2 Platinum, V1.
    Bios v 1.4, 3/112/08
    Phenom X3 720
    Ultra 750W power Supply
    Seagate 500GB SATA HD
WD 80GB SATA HD (for Photoshop scratch drive)
My Bios is set up as follows>
    Integrated Peripherals
      Extra RAID Controller - Disabled
      On-Chip ATA Devices
          PCI IDE Busmaster - Enabled
          RAID mode           - IDE
OK, Any ideas?  You folk have a lot more experience with me.  Thanks for all/any help.

Ports 5 and 6 ,the red ones ,are for the Promise Extra RAID controller ,which as per BIOS settings was turned off  ,thats why the HDD was not detected .You can use that Promise controller with HDD-s ,even if they are not in RAID config ,but drivers are required.
    Glad i could help you!

  • External monitor kills wireless

I am having the following problem with my Macbook Pro.
15” Macbook Pro i5 + Nvidia GT 330M. Nvidia driver 8.17.11.9494 MS Broadcom 80211N wireless driver 5.60.18.8. Windows 7 Pro bootcamped onto OSX 10.6.

    Turn off monitor.
    All ok.
    PROBLEM states:
    • Monitor connected and ON, next to macbook in bootcamp win7.
    • Monitor connected, ON, and 5ft away from computer in bootcamp win7. (no proximity)
    • Monitor connected, ON, and connected to 2nd laptop VGA, display set to macbook so it outputs the macbook in bootcamp win7. (connection)
    NOT Problem states:
    • Monitor connected and OFF.
    • Monitor ON and not connected. (proximity)
    • Monitor On, and connected to 2nd laptop on VGA in same location. (proximity)
    • Monitor connected, ON, and connected to 2nd laptop VGA, display set to VGA so it outputs the 2nd laptop. (proximity+connection)
    • LAN connected, any test.
    • In Mac OSX, no problem.
So problem state is when the macbook is in NVidia mode, connected and using external monitor in Bootcamp Win7 over the wireless network. Proximity has no effect. Connection, unused has no effect. No wired LAN problem.
I found some posts from 2007 about OSX having this issue, no one got beyond “it must be the monitor is too close and interfering with wireless”
I would have to say driver issue if OSX is ok, and bootcamp is not. Swapping drivers with Bootcamp drivers, win drivers, no joy.
    Ideas?
    Ken aka fierrpawz.

Wow, I couldn't believe it when I saw it. I've been having really bad wifi troubles only in Windows (7 64-bit Ultimate, specifically), and after looking all over the place I happened upon this post. I immediately unplugged the monitor and voila, the signal improved instantly and dramatically. I ran several tests with the monitor unplugged and plugged, and I can confirm that the monitor is definitely the culprit. I'm also using the DVI adapter from Monoprice. Thank you for this post, time to cancel my order for a new router. I would have NEVER thought to try unplugging/plugging my external monitor (also a Dell, incidentally).

    2. Windows 7 x64 Ultimate (problem doesn't occur in Mac OS).
    3. MacBook Pro 13", newest model.
    4. Dell S2409W monitor.

  • Why does Sony multi-card reader show up now as a RealTek product?

I've had a Sony MRW62E/T1/181  card reader for several years. It worked fine until recently. When I plugged in the USB cord that came with it into my XP Pro SP3 computer, I got a message asking me to install a RealTek driver. To the best of my knowledge, there are no RealTek products on my PC. I've tried rebooting and deleting entries in the Device Manager. No luck. I can't get the PC to recognize the card reader, much less retrieve photos from my SanDisk Ultra III 8GB SDHC camera card I've always used. Even stranger, I can use the card reader just fine if I plug it into the Windows 7 system at work. Yes, I have the Sony drive letter software installed. I've also tried different USB ports on my PC. Tips?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Now if it’s a driver issue.
Most card readers and other USB Storage devices (ebook readers, cameras, camcorders, etc), use generic USB Win drivers.
Have you try to uninstall only the drivers of the USB Mass Storage Device?
Here is an example how to uninstall the Reader Digital Book USB drivers in the Win SO. It’s the same even for other Storage devices.

Then reboot PC and connect the card reader.

Hi , I see that you are missing the Booklet mode when using another Laptop running Windows 7. I would like to help you.
I checked the web site and see that there are basic drivers available for the printer as well as the Windows Update drivers.I would suggest to try the basic drivers, they may have been the ones installed on the other Laptop and not the Updates.Try the HP Universal Print Driver for Windows PCL6 (64-bit) and the HP Universal Print Driver for Windows PostScript (64-bit) to see if the Booklet option is available. • Reinstall (repair) CC app to fix Ps display issue

    Now I have two issues.
#1 - Photoshop (Ps) stopped displaying brush spray correctly.  Looks like sandpaper and should be smooth airbrush quality.  Had been working.  Issue is present with stylus (pen) or mouse.  Tried many brushes and parameter changes with no real effect.  Pressure sensitivity is still present.
#2 - In trying to fix this issue, I wanted to repair Ps.  I learned there was no "repair", so I uninstalled normally through Control Panel.  Now I can't reinstall from CC.  CC thinks Ps still there, but it's not.

This is the Photoshop Touch for tablets forum. But anyhoo...
I have a Bamboo Splash tablet that I use with Windows 8.1 64-bit but have zero problems using it in Photoshop CC 2014.2.2. Things that come to mind to me are:
You didn't mention what model tablet. Wacom has a range of drivers for your specific model here. Try that.
There's no way that you can install Mac drivers on a Windows system. Mac drivers come as DMG files; Win drivers come as EXE files.
If you have the proper drivers installed and it's still giving you overall system issues, look into other aspects of your system. e.g., Are there other applications running in the background that could interfere? Exit them. Are all the drivers for your components updated? (Video, audio, etc.) If you don't feel computer savvy, get someone who is to take a look.
ON EDIT: I am a derp. I just saw the thread title. Sorry about that. Go to the link I posted above to find the Windows drivers for the Intuos 4.
