Yoga 2 Pro Case/Sleeve Options

What cases or sleeves are people using? I'm considering the slot in case, but I don't mind the keyboard being face out/down in other modes, and I wanted to see if there was a good case that would cover all 4 edges/corners of the laptop. I guess I'm more concerned about bump/drop protection and the slot in case is a little lacking there or so it looks like from the picture. Here's a link to the slot in case if you haven't seen it:http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/itemdetails/888015541/460/E003FD3CD8BA4B7AA9B6825A0E519746  As for other cases, the Y2P is pretty close in dimensions to the Macbook Air, so hopefully some of those sleeves will fit:Y2P: 12.99" x 8.66" x 0.61"MBA: 12.8" x 8.94" x 0.68" Some of the options I'm looking at (browsing on Amazon, plus searched all amazon reviews for "yoga 2 pro"):http://www.amazon.com/Case-Logic-SSMA-313-13-3-Inch-Ultrabooks/product-reviews/B006P88UQW (might go check this one in store out at Fry's)http://www.amazon.com/Snugg-MacBook-13-inch-Retina-Leather/dp/B00DN6TSVA One commenter said: So I got the 15" version earlier, and I loved it. So I thought I'd get the 13" version for my Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro, because the dimension is very close to MacBook Air. Sure enough, the sleeve fits *almost* perfectly. It's a little tight, but that's fine for now, since I'm sure it'll get loose as time goes by. The only quibble with this 13" inch version is the fact that it does NOT have the same cutout for charging the laptop while it's in sleeve. I'm not sure whether it's just a defect on the sleeve that I received, or it's just how it is designed, with no cut-out for charging.http://www.amazon.com/Freedom-Neoprene-13-13-3-Notebook-Computer/dp/B00CHIQ5Q6/ One commenter said: My wife got it for her new yoga 2 pro. It fits well. The interior has a cushion that protects the laptop exterior.  Second one seems promising to me, since I'd like to avoid the zipper in the third.

So I decided against a case with a zipper and went with the Snugg case based on the customer view saying it fit though it was tight. Well it's way too tight. It takes me a minute to work the laptop out which is too much even for the break in period. I still want a sleeve without a zipper and with a flap over the top, so the Waterfield sleeve is tempting, but it's a little pricier than I wanted. $65 + 2 shipping for the Sleeve with flap.http://www.sfbags.com/products/sleevecases/sleevecases-mac.php  An option I should have looked at first is a Timbuk2 Custom Sleeve. I already have a Timbuk2 Messenger bag, and it's only $40+5 shipping and you can pick colors:http://www.timbuk2.com/tb2/customizer#!/product/11-custom-envelope-laptop-sleeve/size/2/customizeThe problem is that there is over an inch of room in both dimensions. It fits up to 14"x10.2" Anyone have any other suggestions or just info on what you are using? Edit: Some other options I stumbled onto (don't know if these will all fit):http://www.toshiba.com/us/accessories/Laptop-Cases/Sleeve/PA1523U-1UC3Targus ultrabook sleeveCaselogic Sleeve

  • Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro Case Discoloration

I recently purchased a silver Yoga 2 Pro from Best Buy, and while I like the machine, I have noticed the corners have begun to turn a strange copper color. I have never seen this in a computer case before.
Does anyone know what the issue could be? I've seen a few threads report similar issues, but there's not been much support concerning the topic.

When I read such reports, it makes me wonder if the affected units were originally Clementine Orange and simply coated with silver but the silver is wearing down letting the orange is show through.

  • Yoga 2 pro continually changes mode while case is closed

I love my Yoga 2 Pro but there is one thing I've been unable to figure out:  It seems as though the mode (e.g. tent vs. tablet vs. laptop) keeps changing when the case is closed and the computer is moving around.
I'll close the lid which, based on my power settings should put it to sleep (though I guess I have no way of really knowing because the lid is closed), put it in my bag, and as I'm walking around it keeps making the sound that it makes when I explicitly change the mode (e.g. when I fold the keyboard back to go from laptop mode to tablet mode).
This is incredibly annoying - either I have to constantly hear this tone coming from my bag, or I have to stop, get the computer out, log in, shut it down, and lose the state of what I was doing (browser tabs, window position, etc.).
This also makes me worry that the battery is draining while the lid is closed.
Is this a known issue, and is there a fix?  Thank you!

I have this exact same problem, and after having my new Yoga 2 11 for only a week, it has become increasingly annoying. Is there anyway to fix this? It's frustrating to have to shut my computer down completely in order to get it not to battery drain or to continue to switch mode. I find that whenever I put it to sleep and close the lid, it powers down for a few seconds but then makes the notification sound - upon opening the lid it says that I am in "Tablet Mode" even though the computer had been compeltely closed. I would really like to fix this, or I may just end up taking the computer back.

  • Yoga 2 Pro - Broken in less than a year - A terrible experience with IdeaPads

    Hi guys!
I'm hear to tell everyone about my pretty terrible experience with Lenovo and my Yoga 2 Pro IdeaPad. It's not a review or anything but more of a forewarning to those who are thinking of buying from Lenovo.
I'm also here to help others out in my situation, that is, if you are stuck with a half broken (or in my case, completely faulty) laptop and Lenovo won't help you out (fixes are in italics).
    The beginning
So I bought a Yoga 2 Pro at BestBuy in the USA about a year ago. I live in Australia so I asked about international warranty and they said that the notebook is covered by international warranty.
The day the screen flashed black and white
About a few months in the screen began flashing black and white rapidly (it goes from black to white about twice a second) for about 30 seconds to a minute. I found that you can stop this from happening if you open and close the lid a couple of times. Not really a big issue unless you set your laptop to go to sleep/shutdown when you close the lid. I don't so everything was fine.
The day the Wi-Fi NIC stopped working properly
So then a couple of months after that my Wi-Fi began to play up. I recently found out that you can prevent this from happening by ensure that you don't put any pressure on the sides of the base of the laptop (Eg. don't put your elbow on the side of the laptop and hold your head up with the same elbow).
I also worked out a while ago that you can get the Wi-Fi to work again if you go Right click Wireless Icon->Network And Sharing Center->Change Adapter Settings->Right Click Wi-Fi->Disable it->Renable it
    Here comes the bad stuff...
    Screws began to fall out
So then the screws began to fall out. I screwed a couple back in when they were wobbly but they eventually fell out without me realising. This suggests that the screw holdings have poor quality threading and as a result the screws begin to fall out. I now have 5 out of 11 screws on the backplate of notebook.
    And also the screw holdings.
Yup, the actually thing that the screw screws into fell out as well. About three of them fell out. I don't know how it could possibly do so but it did, it happened when I picked up my laptop from the desk.
And then the charger socket broke
I can no longer charge my laptop -> I now have a very expensive beverage coaster
So then the charger socket cracked in half too! Again, not really sure how it happened but it did, it might possibly be from the heat of the laptop causing the plastic to expand when heated and retract when cooled. I have the i7 CPU version so it may get hotter than normal.
The laptop no longer charges so I no longer have a laptop to use (I use my desktop to work (and occasionally my phone)).
Not to worry! I'll just make use of my international warranty...?
And then the customer service were not helpful:
And then they said I didn't have international warranty...
And then they admitted that I did...
And then they claimed international warranty does not apply in Australia...
So I emailed Lenovo customer service and they kept claiming that my notebook did not have international warranty.
I talked to Jessica, Jason, Jai, Jasmin, Jackie (why are there so many J's?) and Adam.
Eventually one of them admitted that I do have international warranty but it is not supported in Australia. How convenient for them.
The notebook has never been dropped
I am the only user of the notebook
The notebook is kept in a padded laptop bag.
I was very polite to customer service.
All I'm left with is a very expensive notebook that doesn't actually work.
As a result I can only strongly recommend that you avoid buying from Lenovo. I worry for those who have bought Yoga 3 Pro, with it's watch band design and all.
Here are some pictures I took a few weeks ago (I photoshopped the stickers out):

  • Yoga 2 Pro Ideapad windows clean install

    Dear Friends,
I have just bought an Intel I7-4510U based Yoga 2 Pro winth pre-installed Windows 8.1. I would like to have a clean system without software add-ons. Can I clean-install Windows 8.1? In other words, can I boot from an USB pendrive in order to install a standard Windows 8.1 OS? Do I need Windows 8.1 Key and where can I find it?
Many thanks in advance for your kind help
    Sergio

Not all the drivers work with Windows 7.
That said, you cannot legally flash a Windows 7 SLIC.
If you want a bloatware free Window installation, you might as well buy/acquire a legal Windows 7/8.x key. Once done, just delete all partitions and reformat the computer.
I personally used iOrbit Uninstaller in advance mode and had it remove all the BS leftover files + registry entries. Effectively, it did the same job with less effort.
Also, as long as you don't change the partition types/size, you should be able to revert back to factory install using the OKR button. However, installing a fresh copy of Windows will force you to change from EFI GTP to MBR. Once you do that, you will break the OKR system. Hence why I suggest you delete all partitions and at least recover some lost/dead space.
    As I explained elsewhere:
OKR only works if no changes to the partition type and size are made. Once the partitions have been altered, the system is broken and cannot be used. Only $69 (if I am not mistaken) recovery disks can fix this issue.
It sucks and I think the price is absurd. However, shy from installing a retail version of Windows, this is your only option.
I am not sure about the legality of torrent sites in this case. After all, your BIOS stores a legal key. However, Lenovo might be selling the images not the license. If that is the case, torrenting an image of these recovery CDs might be illegal.
Regardless of the fact, you will still need to buy an external CD drive if you go the CD recovery route (unless you use another computer to make the CDs into a bootable recovery disk).

  • Yoga 2 Pro System Image

    Helo everyone:
I'm new to the forum. I hope I'm posting in the right spot. I recently received a Yoga 2 Pro (it's for my son who's going to college.) This is a GREAT computer. I'm trying to creat a system image backup in case junior does a job on the laptop. I cannot find how to do this in Windows 8.1. I can tell Lenovo partitioned the SSD and has it's own recovery sytem. I'm sure this works. However, is there any kind of work around so I can make a system image of a brand spanking new computer in case there's some failure down the road? Thanks in advance.

Hi GinoShea, welcome to the forums,
Please see the instuctions on the following link regarding craeting recovery media in Windows 8/8.1
    http://mobilesupport.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/HT080887
Also, for European systems purchased in Europe for a possible worst case scenario recovery media can be ordered from Lenovo through the following link. System type, serial number will be required and there will be a charge for this.

P.S. I've moved your post to the correct board for the system should you have any future questions.

  • Intel HD Graphics driver on Yoga 2 Pro fails after Windows 10 upgrade

Yoga 2 Pro. Everything working fine under Windows 8.1. Upgraded to Windows 10 RTM version. Intel HD Graphics device failed, message in Device Manager is "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)". Installed the latest Windows 10 driver for Yoga 2 Pro from the Lenovo support site (driver dated 7/15/2015). This did not fix the problem. Interestingly, the first time I installed the driver from the support site (I tried it twice), I received a message stating "I already have a newer version of the driver installed". I chose to overwrite/install anyhow, as this was the supported driver from Lenovo. In addition, the Intel Graphics Control Panel (that installed with the driver) fails to come up as well. Is this a known problem? Is there anything else to try? How do I determine exactly which version of Intel HD Graphics I have (there seems to be many versions listed on Intel web site).

Update:  I've not had stability when using the Windows 8.1 driver on my Yoga 2 Pro running Windows 10.  The Intel HD Graphics Family driver shows "Working Properly" after first reverting back to the Windows 8.1 driver and the Micro-HDMI port works initially.  At some point though, I end up with the device showing disabled and I'm also having Audio issues.   I decided to upgrade the BIOS which went OK (upgraded from Kona BIOS Version 76CN31WW to Version 76CN43WW).  Then I re-installed the Windows 10 Intel HD Graphics Family driver from the Lenovo website (Version 10.18.15.2040 showing a data of 7/15/15 on the website but 6/16//15 once installed).  However, the driver shows disabled as not working properly so I'm not happy. I'll continue to consider purchasing a support option but figure it'll only reap an apology and perhaps some information confirming the problem but I expect paying for support won't result in a working Windows 10 driver any sooner.  I'm not aware how to report a problem like this to Lenovo without paying them to hear about the trouble they're causing me.Let me stop you from wasting your money.  I too had the problem you described.  What I made sure of was that once I installed that 8.1 driver, and in my case, the one dated March 2014, I went into Windows Update and disabled automatic updates.  That is where it kept getting updated for me.  That was a week ago and still have stability using the old driver. Hope this helps.  Intel needs to make a stable Windows 01 driver like yesterday.

  • Yoga 2 Pro Auto-Rotate Disabled (button is gray) on Win 10

Hi all, Upgraded my Yoga 2 Pro to Win 10 today, and the auto-rotate feature stopped working. The enable auto-rotate button on Win 10 is disabled, and in the display settings, the auto-rotate is switched on, but this doesn't make a difference. Don't know if the problem is with Lenovo or Microsoft, but would appreciate any help I can get...

Folks - any of you restored back to windows 8 to see if it still works? I did after my win 10 upgrade (with no rotation) and to my dismay, rotation no longer works in the factory image. I spoke to Lenovo and they are treating it like a hardware failure (apparently the factory reimage is the smoking gun for them). I'm starting to wonder if the Win 10 upgrade could have hosed the sensor!? FWIW - I have installed windows 10 about 5 times now on my Yoga 2 Pro, and in every case, the rotation lock function appears as a option (after the graphics drivers are updated by windows update) and pressing the button causes the on screen display to indicate that the autorotate is being toggled.

  • Acrobat XI very sluggish on Yoga 3 Pro

I have noticed that Adobe Acrobat XI is very sluggish on the Yoga 3 Pro. Specifically laggy when zooming in and out, panning, scrolling, and full screen. This is especially apparent with full screen and quite annoying in tablet mode. However, using the Microsoft Reader app with the same PDF files does NOT experience this lag.
What I then discovered is that this has something to do with the Core M processor and it getting its power limited. If you change the power plan in OneKey Optimizer to High Performance (from Balanced, for example), Acrobat all of a sudden becomes quite snappy.
When in tablet mode, if you simply want to read a PDF file (and use Acrobat), you do not need "high performance", so to extend the unfortunately bad battery life of the Yoga 3 Pro, you would want to put it in Balanced or Power Saver -- this should still be sufficient to read PDF files, but it is not the case with Acrobat XI unfortunately.
I'm not sure which specific CPU limiting feature of the power plan is causing this issue in Acrobat, but I thought I would post this because I couldn't find anything on the internet on this issue.

  • Yoga 2 Pro stuck volume, missing cursor, onscreen keyboard unusable

I'm having several issues with a Yoga 2 Pro laptop running Windows 8.1 that's about a year old.
    1) Volume is stuck at 0. I can raise the volume, but it automatically lowers back down to zero, as if the volume-down key is stuck. The volume indicator is always onscreen.
    2) Cursor is missing, however I can still right click/left click. Also, the cursor will reappear when I uninstall the Synaptic touchpad drivers.
    3) The onscreen touch keyboard is unusable. I can click on the icon and it pops up, but it immediatly goes back down.
    4) Side screen charms won't stay on screen (example: pressing the F10 key or project screen the side menu pops in but immediately pops out, similar to the keyboard). Also if I swipe in from the right and try to use anything (devices, settings, etc.) it does not respond
    5) Pressing the start key doesn't bring it to the start screen, but holding it down for a few seconds does.
The above problems still exist in safe mode.I'm thinking it's a hardware issue or a bad connection of some kind. I've tried:
    1) Removing/reinstalling various drivers (touchpad, audio, graphics)
    2) Disabling services (YMC comes up often when looking at trackpad problems, but this hasn't worked for me)
    3) Uninstalled/reinstalled programs (Energy Management, Transitions, etc.)
    4) Did a complete factory reset at one point, had no effect.
I've had the problem a couple times before, and one thing that DID work was to hold down the power button for ten seconds while the computer was off, then let it reboot. Unfortunately that solution is no longer working. The threads I've linked below have been the closest I've found to a problem like this, but neither of their solutions worked for me.

Any help would be much appreciated! Definitely affecting my usability of this otherwise wonderful machine.

Update in case anyone else comes across a similar problem: I ended up sending my laptop into warranty, and it came back a week later working completely. No idea what the problem, cause, or fix was, although they didn't replace any major parts (battery, cable, cpu, fan, hard drive, keyboard, touch pad, display, memory, motherboard...going off the list they sent back, none of those were replaced), so I'm not sure what to think. Not even a factory reset. I'd love to know what the issue was, in case it comes up again but am happy that my laptop is once again functioning in either case!

  • YOGA 2 PRO (13) Feedback

On December 1 I ordered a Yoga 2 Pro and it arrived a couple weeks later.  The laptop definitely is nice to look at and is light weight.  Unfortunately that's where the good feelings end.  The system arrived with Windows 8.1 and I am starting to question the compatibility / testing of the hardware with the software.
To me the response time of such a high powered laptop (i7/4G/256SSD) seems sluggish and the OS/software is quirky.  Examples of such include having to reboot or shut down every time I need to use the laptop.  Many times the laptop will freeze or take 3 - 5 minutes to wake up. I think this is a configuration issue but multiple calls to Technical Support did not correct the problem.  Tech support modified my power settings and even shut off all window upgrade notifications (odd).  They suggested I do not update the drivers or window operating system (odd).  Technical Support also modified the hard drive to continuosly operate for "9999 minutes" which I wonder how that will impact the long term operations of the hard drive.  Eventually we restored the laptop to factory settings and that has not helped either.  Interesting the laptop includes a one click restore which seems like a feature you should not need but then you realize it might be out of necessity!
The laptop also makes verbal notifications when it goes into sleep mode.  At first I could not determine what was causing the notification but today I am now seeing multiple "yoga transition" icons appearing in my system tray.  My laptop just went into sleep mode, it began sending warning signals, and by the time I was able to wake it up there were 16 yoga transitions icons in my system tray.  I'm not sure why yoga transition is running because I did not take the laptop out of laptop mode.  The extra processing may be the cause of the delayed response for wake up and the freezing of the laptop.
Both IE and Chrome seem to have challenges too and at times the wireless connection is quite slow.  Also note Technical Support said there no way to hard wire to your router (wireless only) and no additional slot to upgrade RAM.
Part of my issue may be the laptop does not connect to a monitor very well.  Since the purchase the laptop rarely leaves my desk and I do not use the convertible option so I connect to a monitor 99% of the time.  I've been trying to get the basics working first.  I connected to my monitor via a 1-Meter Micro HDMI to DVI-D cable.  There seems to be a problem here which may be causing the freezing issue; just a hunch based on endless testing.
Has anyone else had any issues with this laptop?
It would be great to have some feedback.  I also contacted Microsoft who made it immediately clear that Lenovo had screwed up the OS.  Microsoft provided absolutely no help and said I needed to educate myself about how software licensing works.
For background... my usage at this point is basic email and web surfing.  I've invested approximately 20 hours in trying to work out the kinks.  Given the sluggishness and configuration quirks it seems like a poor choice so far.
January 9th Update - Contacted Lenovo Post Sale team today.  The Post Sale team has issued an order for a new laptop to replace existing defective laptop.  I will provide further updates when new laptop arrives.

    @mrcmburns...
Please confirm that your driver is v17.0.1.5 by looking in Device Manager, if you would.
I ask because, in the course of doing some troubleshooting with a colleague recently, I updated my Y2P to the driver above and it has been rock-stable.
    Regards.

  • Yoga 2 Pro PXE boot?

Looking to PXE boot a Yoga 2 Pro so I can create/restore images with Microsoft WDS.  Since Yoga 2 Pro does not have a built-in Ethernet jack, does anyone know if it's possible to do this with a USB Ethernet adapter?
Would it have to be a Lenovo-branded apdater, or can any brand Belkin, TP-Link, etc) work?

How did you get this to work sir?? I have been trying for a solid week and it never see the Lenovo ethernet dongle as a boot option no matter what I choose in the BIOS. I have the X1 Carbon and it works as you would expect it to. But it NEVER works on the YOGA 2 PRO. CAn anyone help me?? The BIOS clearly has an option to boot the dongle thats made by LENOVO but the dongle never ever shows any lights no matter what port its in or regardless of the settings vchanged in the very small bios. I have wasted atleast 60 hrs + trying to figure out how to boot with it and it doesnt work at all. I had to end up making a bootable discover USB to help it find my wds server. Altough now when ever I attempt to drop an image to it it fails right at FINISHING up and finishes with a "corrupt installation file" error message. To make things more confusing is I can drop this same "Corrupt" image to our X1 carbons without a problem. Can anyone guess why??

  • Yoga 2 Pro - Keyboard Not Working

My issue is that the keyboard of my Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro disables itself intermittently in Laptop Mode. I purchased this laptop (i7 cpu, 256GB SSD, 8GB memory) from BB a week ago and get it replaced twice (3 different units) and all had the same issue.  Case of the first one I purchased was also cracked on the rear side. I powered the laptop to test it before I return it. Then I realized this keyboard issue. I was using it in laptop mode and keyboard backlight was going off by itself. First I thought it was just the backlight but keys were not functioning as well. Touchpad and Touchscreen were still functional. Time to time keyboard came back to life by itself and sometimes I needed to restart couple of times to get it work.
Next day I went to another BB store to get it replaced (the one I burchased was the last unit in other store). So I also got the last unit in this other BB store and went to school. After my classes I realised this one had the same keyboard issue. I checked if I had latest BIOS, drivers and software and updated everything. But there was no solution. I called lenovo tech support and the guy on the phone told me that it seems like a hardware issue and suggested me to get it replaced again via BB. I didn't think that it was a hardware issue. It seemed to me like the sensors drivers or firmware were thinking that I put the yoga in tablet mode and was disableing keyboard even in laptop mode. I tried uninstalling yoga software , disabling services such as YMC and intel thermal and power management from bios etc. etc. These things seemed to lower the number of issues but still keyboard was disableing itself time to time.
I went BB again to get another one. But of course I had to find another store that have the exact same model (and of course they had only one unit). I went and get that one. Guess what? It is same. I tried everythin. Installed my own copy of Windows 8.1 Pro and didn't install any lenovo software etc. Didnt work. I recovered to factory OS still same. I called lenovo tech support again to find some help. Only thing they could recommend me was to send the laptop for repair but I can not simply live without computer (I am computer science PhD. student need it access to a computer all the time).
I like the laptop so much and honestly I couldn't find another brand model with very high resolution screen i7 processor at least 8gb memory and 256GB ssd etc at this priice range.  So I want to be able to use it. But every other minute or hour the keyboard disables itself. With the latest unit I got moving the lid (pushing and pulling screen back and forth) seems to help sometimes. Also tilting the laptop some times works.
Is there anyone else having this kind of issues? And more importantly is there anyone who managed to solve it?
I do not want to talk to tech support again. If possible I want to get in touch with some people from Lenovo software and drivers team so that I can help them diagnose the issue and test beta software firmware they might have.
PS: Why no bios/driver update for last couple of months?

As stupid as it sounds, try folding the laptop fully into tablet mode, then fold it back to regular mode. This has been working for one of my clients.
NOT a driver issue - definitely a physical issue. Hopefully the folding back/forth continues to work.
(and since I'm a support resource, this kind of stuff makes me look bad when I recommend it to a client: "Yes, it is possibly the coolest laptop available on the market, but you just have to deal with a few issues like keyboard randomly stopping working and the wireless driver load intermittently not working after waking the laptop up. Other than those two minor issues, it's a great laptop!!"

  • Keyboard Yoga 3 pro doesnt work

    hi
friday i receive my yoga 3 pro. On Saturday i start to configure it. and start to install the windows updates. after many restarts the updates were finished. then i want to start to install my programs, but the keyboard didnt work. and the notebook was very slowly! so i restart, but same problem again. i search for a solution, i only find one thread were the new graphcis driver was the fault! but windows update and i didnt install a new driver! so i recovery the system, but same problem. i can use the touchscreen keyboard and and an usb keyboard without any problems! sometimes the touchpad also didnt work!
    hardware fault?
    thank you

    Hello,
It's a guess, but I think it could be the Harmony software turning it off.
This software is supposed to turn off your keyboard when in tablet mode.
Can you please run it in notebook mode, make sure the Harmony software is on, rotate the screen all the way into tablet mode, switch it back to notebook mode and see if it's working. Also, please pay attention to the top right hand corner of the screen. Harmony should indicate it's changing profiles while you move the screen. If it's not- it might be the sensor that detects the position of the screen.
If that doesn't work there might be a factory fault in your unit. In that case use the warranty to have it fixed or replaced.
Feel free to ask me about general PC issues, Ideapads, and Thinkpads.

  • Yoga 3 Pro Brigtness Keeps Resetting

I've been having this problem with my Yoga 3 Pro whereby my screen brightness will reset to a very low value every few minutes, no matter how often I try to change it. Whether or not i change it in the charms menu, in the Power Options menu on the control panel or otherwise, it always resets to an annoyingly low brightness level within minutes and I have no idea why. I've searched online and none of the solutuions I found worked.

    hi
Can you check and make sure that this is disabled.
Intel Display Power Saving Technology or Intel DPST
Also please check this thread and hope it helps
