Yoga 2 Pro - Win 8.1 x64 Pro - VeriFace doesn't work for Domain accounts

First - Lenovo's own tech support team seems completely unprepared for this product. There are no install packages online for anything but core drivers and the support teams really don't know much about the custom Lenovo software like VeriFace. Not bashing, just a disappointing reality. I'm hearing Lenovo does this all the time and that in a few months, stuff will appear. Great.
REAL issue: VeriFace won't work for Domain accounts. Pure and simple. I'm a geek, so I know the right account name shows up at the lock screen. When I type in the password, it says Incorrect. If I use a local account, bingo, works perfectly. I Googled some notes back in 2008/2009 where some people found a work-around by creating a local account with the same login name (obviously without the "domain\" part) to trick VeriFace. I tried it and it didn't work.
Can anyone else confirm this?
p.s. I tried uninstalling / reinstalling and you DON'T want to do that. See my first point. You can't re-install b/c the software ONLY exists in the hidden reset partition in OneKey Recovery. You have to completely reset your PC in order to get it back.

Yoga 2 Pro - Veriface doesnt work with Domain Account

I have a Yoga 2 Pro and I can get Veirface to work fine with a local account but it will not work with a Domain Account. I can get it to where it prompts me for the Domain Account Password (as it should the 1st time) but when you enetr the proper password, it tells you ints invalid etc. I have tried changing the Domain Password but it acts like it just cant locate the account etc. Does anyone know if this is a known issue or if there is a resolution to this?
I am using Veriface 5.0.13.5261 on a Windows 8.1 Pro Operating System

I have two accounts
1. valentia\mubi (which is domain account)
2. Mubi (which is local laptop account)
When i use register my account with veriface, it work fine with Mubi
When i use to register my account with valentia\mubi it say wrong password..
I even deleted local i.e. Mubi account but still no luck!
This is great feature, but pretty much useless if not working with domain. I have to use domain account,

I've got my Photosmart c4580 for a while know, I still think it might be possible to get it wirelesse.
The CD that was sold with it to set up the wifi connection does not work for Windows 7!!! Any idea, what I could download instead? All drivers are updated.

MDMason, thanks for the response. I don't use Parallels but I will have to try this XP sleep thing when running on batteries.
Last night, I rebooted back into XP and it reported that it had "recovered" from a serious error. I could surf the net with no problems so it appeared XP was working fine (good thing I imaged the Windows partition with Disk Utilities). I closed the MBP lid and let it go to sleep, waited a minute and opened it back up and XP was waiting for me. Then, I closed the lid again and went out to a valentine's dinner with my wife and let it sit for a few hours.
When we got back, I opened the MBP and again, XP was there. I'm not sure what happened but I can't seem to duplicate it.
I'll play some more over the next few days and see what happens.

MacBook Pro closest to the screen USB port doesn't work

I have a mid-2010 MacBook Pro 6,2 (15" 2,66 GHz i7 4GB RAM) which is in perfect conditions. I use it everyday to study and play the X-Plane simulator, basically, so it has never fallen nor taken any damage. Last week, all of the sudden, the USB port located closest to the screen stopped working. I've spent several hours trying to figure out what the problem is (tried the SMC and NVRAM reset more than once) but all I got was this log from USB Prober:

I imagine that the problem is in the BRCM2070 Hub, as it's status in the "Port Status" section is "STATUS(change): CONNECT ENABLE SUSPEND POWER Full Speed" and "Port Power State: Suspended (Driver)", while my other USB port which is working okay is "STATUS(change): POWER Full Speed" and "Port Power State: No connection". If I connect anything to the problematic USB Port the status won't change, while, if connected to the okay one, it will show what's connected instead of saying "No Connection" (e.g. iPhone). The only thing that gives a sign of life when connected to the problematic one is my Samsung External 500GB HD, but it simply lights up, doesn't mount nor is recognised. After a minute it turns off while still connected. I don't know how to proceed as I don't have any Apple Stores near me.
Is there anyway to work this problem out or I should just wait until the end of this year to go to the US and take my machine to a Genius? This problem is really annoying me, as I frequently use one of the ports to charge my iPhone and the other one to connect my mouse. I'm thinking about buying an USB hub to bypass the problem, but it would kill my MBP's portability.

I solved my issue and I believe it was router related. I have a router through Verizon and their Fios service. My router was old so I caled for a replacement. when I received thereplacement I switched it the router to only accept 802.11n and this did the trick. Problem solved, stupid router.

Surface 1 Pro on 8.1 with Miracast doesn't work on Domain

I've seen other threads about this but no clear solution. I have a bunch of Surface Pro's running 8.1. Miracast did work before joining them to the domain. However, there is no option to add a wireless display now that they're on the
domain. I've seen references on technet to disabling the firewall and issues with GPO. Just disabling the firewall doesn't seem to work. I can't just disable ALL GPO's from being applied to the Surfaces. Does anyone know exactly which
GP is the problem? Our current domain is functioning at 2008 R2.

OTA of Flash Lite Player doesn't work for HTC Touch Pro 2

When I tried to run a Flash Lite app in HTC Touch Pro 2, it asked for Flash Lite player to run it. I clicked Yes. It returned a message: Adobe Flash Lite is not available for this device. OTA installation didn't work in this case. I then manually installed the standalone player and it installed successfully. My operator is Telstra in Australia.

Your device will not be detected because it is unsupported by the detection server. Of course the manual installation is possible but right now we are certifying devices that can be supported.

(Macbook Pro - Airtunes - Dlink DIR-655 - Airport Express) doesn't work

To all that might be having this same issue, I have confirmed with Apple that it is a problem (and the case has been escalated). In a nutshell, I am trying to stream music from my Macbook Pro to the network which will then talk to the airport express boxes.
The Macbook Pro has an N-airport extreme card.
The Dlink Router (DIR-655) has the Draft-N 2.0 spec.
The Airport expresses are connected to my network.
I have no problems using my Powerbook G4 with a 802.11g-equipped wireless card in this situation.
My Macbook Pro, iTunes SEES the airport express, but when trying to play a song, the track sits at 0:00 and does not move(play).
My Macbook Pro has no issues connecting to the internet, it just cannot stream music through.
I have confirmed that the Macbook Pro CAN stream music to the airport express when they are on their own network (taking the Dlink router out of the setup).
Why or why did Apple not include gigabit ethernet on their wireless base station!!!!!
If anybody has or knows of a fix, I would be glad to hear it. If anybody has this configuration, but it works with a different wireless router with gigabit ethernet and Draft-N wireless, I would love to hear from you as well!
Macbook Pro (Core 2 Duo) Mac OS X (10.4.9)

I have been having problems with my dlink dir 625 n router as well and after months of problems I finally fixed the problem. The funny thing was that everything worked fine with my imac... it was the macbook pro's airport that wasn't seeing the router correctly.
I just enabled wap2 on the router as the security setting and for some reason now everything is running as it should, upload and connectivity are great!

I have recently gotten a MacBook Pro (through my highschool so it is monitored by them) and ever since I brought it home it's been having wifi connection problems. It says the wifi is working fine, it shows full bars, but when I try to connect to the Internet it acts like there is only one bar or no bars. Although every one and a while I can get a great connection but it lasts for about 10 minutes. This I do not get because the wifi works perfectly fine for everyone else in the house and for our phones too. So if anyone else could help me I would be soo happy. Thanks.

I have had the same issue and searched the forums and found nothing that helped. I contacted apple support and this is what they told me to do:
First we’ll do the SMC reset
1.) Shut down the Mac and connect to power source.
2.) Unplug external devices, flash drives, external monitors, external HD (Keep the Mac plugged into power source)
3.) Hold down “Shift” + “Control” + “Option” (On the left side of the keyboard) + Power key for 30 seconds.
*The Mac should remain powered off during the reset, the LED on the MagSafe Adapter may change colors.
**The “Option” key is also known as the “Alt” key on some Macs.
Awesome, now let’s reset the NVRAM
1.) Locate these keys “Command”, “Option, “P” & “R”
2.) Power on your Mac
3.) Immediately press and hold all 4 keys “Command” “Option” “P” “R”
4.) Listen for 2 boot chimes and then release.
**The “Option” key is also known as the “Alt” key on some Macs.

HT201295 Late 2011 Macbook Pro refuses to boot. SMC reset doesn't work

Late 2011 Macbook Pro refuses to boot. SMC reset does nothing. Have tried bypassing SMC (nothing).
Magsafe light glows very very faintly (barely visible in a room with lights on).
Have tried reseating the battery connector. Battery indicator status button illuminates no LEDS (despite it being charged before failing).
The mac didn't get wet. Was using a non apple USB cable at the time to tether/charge iphone. Computer just dead after working fine.
Any ideas anyone. Logic board?

Wait 10 seconds. Push the power button for 5 seconds. Wait 10 seconds. Reconnect the battery. Put the bottom back on don't screw it on just yet. Tape it temporarily in place and try to start it
Even if it's a 15" or 17" try this anyway. Usually when graphics on the logic board fails there will have been anomalies beforehand.

There is a few things I will suggest to hopefully fix this issue for you.
1. Is mass storage mode currently enabled when you hook your BlackBerry to the Mac? If not please read KB13564.
2. Is your iTunes updated to the very latest version?
3. Verify that your media card has a sufficient amount of memory available for the playlists. To check this, perform the following:
In BlackBerry® Desktop Manager, click Device Options. On the Media tab, decrease the amount of memory that is kept free for files other than your music files.

MacBok pro Audio line in port doesn't work for microphone input Why?

I turn line-in port on in System preferences/sound but no reaction. Using within third party applications like Hear or Amadeus the recording via head set microphone is without problem. What is wrong with the Mac os ?

Actually, I've found the following problem with mine:
If the jack is stereo jack, the computer is in "line in" mode, where you need higher signal level (approx. 500mV afaik) which no passive microphone will provide. If the jack is mono, it "looks" for an external microphone and it works.
Both sockets (in and out) of the MBP are intelligent, in the sense that they detect what's connected based on the jack configuration.
I have a headset with a stereo pink jack (the microphone) and it is not working. Another microphone that I have, with a mono jack works flawlessly.
