Yoga Tablet 2 1050F WLAN - Sperrbildschirm 'verpasste Anrufe'

Cheers Workdowg, I actually already had your XDA thread bookmarked before I even took the regrettable plunge into the Lollipop OTA update. If I Follow:- ( I'm guessing this procedure is From Rooted KitKat to non Rooted KitKat) my concern is I want to revert from Non rooted Lollipop to Non rooted KiKat) will this leave residual files from Lollipop in the bios and affect the procedure.#2 Return to stock KitKat from rooted KitKat to take Lollipop OTA as you mentioned will it revert back without any Bios issues? If any issues occur, do I follow the instructions in (
#4 Repair bios error after downgrading from Lollipop to KitKat (1050F_Recover_from_5.0_downgrade_bios_error.7z) Really want to make sure I follow the correct procedure and that it works on the 1050f, dont really want to turn my Yoga into a place mat. Why Lenovo decided to rollout OTA updates for a halfbaked OS is beyond me, I dont mind Live Beta testing, but at least they should of said it was in a Beta stage before making it available. Its pretty clear that a lot of people are dissapointed with their upgrades and are having to use a tablet that isnt so enjoyable to use. I wonder If Lenovo are planning on rolling out an update Fix Lollipop 5.1 to appease their customers?

  • Yoga Tablet 2 1050F Android 5 and first freeze after sleep....

I dont believe. Problem return with new update for 5.0

Lenovo is investigating customer reports that after upgrading a Yoga Tablet 2 8 830 or 10 1050 to Android 5.0.1 Lollipop, the tablet freezes in sleep mode and will not awaken when tapping the power button.
Two known workarounds: hold the power button down for 60+ seconds until the tablet recovers, or unplug the tablet from AC power and wait several days for the battery to drain, then plug it in and it may recover.
It would help the investigation if several customers would be willing to provide logs capturing this failure event for Yoga Tablet 2 8 or 10 1050 models. This would require starting the log collection before putting the tablet into sleep mode.
To capture logs, please follow this procedure: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/tablets/yoga-series/yoga-tablet-2-830/documents/HT103449

  • Android 5 update offered and now missing. Has it been pulled for Yoga tablet 2-1050F?

I had received a notification that the lollipop update was available for the past few days. I decided to update today and the update notification is now gone. I checked for an update and am being told my tablet is up to date.   Has this happened to anyone else?

Hey guys, am I getting it right that Lenovo stopped sharing the new Android 5.0.1 update via OTA due to some user reported incidents regarding the new software?

I have a new yoga tablet 2 pro, with most recent build and most recent version of skype for android.
When using skype or hangout, the other party cannot hear me (unless I speak directly into built-in microphone hole from a few inches away).  The mike works fine with OK google, etc.  Skype and hangout also work well with earphone and external mike combo.
I think there is a problem with apps accessing microphone gain.......  is there a fix?
    thanks!

  • Bluetooth driver problem on windows 8.1 Yoga Tablet 2-1051f

    Hi,
I just purchased my yoga tablet 2 but i can't bluetooth get working.
Bluetooth device has status "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)". Currently installed  driver from microsoft, version 6.3.9600.17093. Also I'v tried to install driver for bluetooth from http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/tablets/yoga-series/yoga-tablet-2-1051 but it didn't bring any changes. After trying to reinstall driver I'v noticed errors in event log: 1. The address of the local Bluetooth adapter is not valid, Source: BthMini, Event ID: 2; 2.The driver has been unloaded, Source: BthMini, Event ID: 17.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Problem solved.
I have found the way to set BT on.
Instead Fn+F5 I have found on the section "Lenvo Internet Connection", a function that call "Radio Wireless".
    Now I'm happy.

  • Installing Linux on Yoga Tablet 2 Pro 13" that comes with Android

    Hello all,
has anyone yet tried to install a Linux distribution on the Tablet 2 Pro 13" to replace the Android it comes with? Does the Android version of this tablet even boot from USB media, or is locked in some way?
That tablet with Linux would just be perfect for my needs, and unfortunately the Windows variant of it is not really an option (heavier, not yet available in Europe)...
    Thanks,
    Daniel

I've experienced something very simliar. I plugged the tablet (Yoga Tablet 2 Pro 13.3) into a computer USB port by accident, then quickly disconnected while the PC was trying to install driver. After that, I could not get the tablet to charge from high power AC adapters, including one shipped with the tablet. The only way I could get the device to charge was to use a lowly Amazon Kindle AC adapter - but it was so slow I estimated it would have taken 40 hours. I reset to factory, tried all these different "tricks" from this forum, but to no avail. Just when I was ready to send it back, a firmware update was issued. I thought I would give it a go.. After the update, everything is now back to normal. But it was such an upleasant experience for otherwise an excellent device.

  • Yoga Tablet 2 Pro: Google+ autobackup not saving stock camera photos.

Hi, I first noticed this issues on my my Vibe X2 but when i tested it on the Yoga Tablet 2 Pro, i am experiencing the same and i was wondering whether anyone else has this problem?
Basically, I turn on camera backup on both OneDrive as well as Google Photos/ Google+. All my photos and videos back up fine on OneDrive but with Google+, only photos/videos taken with 3rd party apps are getting auto uploaded. Those that are taken with the Lenovo SNAPit/ stock camera aren't getting auto uploaded on google.
I remember it used to work in Vibe X but for some reason, Vibe X2 and YOGA Tablet 2 Pro versions of the camera don't. I find it annoying cause Google's video playback is so much better than OneDrive. It's really good for storing all the videos for play back later. You can delete them from your phone/tablet and will have no problems with playback over wifi even 3G. OneDrive's video playback is only good on the desktop/pc browser. For mobile it still seems to do progressive download.

Thank you for the help.  After some troubleshooting, it appears that the stock Lenovo charger is to blame.  I hooked the tablet up to a Belkin 2.1amp charger and it seems to charge as expected.  The stock Lenovo charger is what confused me - it can charge the tablet, but just barely - the Belkin charges much, much faster.
    Thanks for the help!

  • Yoga Tablet 10" - update to Android 4.4 and further problems with Google Music

    Hi everyone.
I've just upadated my Yoga Tablet 10" to Android 4.4. Whole process went smoothly but afterwards I'm experiencing some problems with Google Music. Playback is "skippy" or "choppy", even if whole song is downloaded. Every 15-25 seconds there small pause, which is quite annoying.
Local music files (uploaded through usb) seem to work just fine.
I've even tried resetting whole device to factory settings but without any success.
I also have an impression that youtube playback is not so smooth as it used to be in Android 4.2...
Has anyone experienced something similar? Any hints or sollutions?

  • Headphone output not working after Android 5 update (Yoga Tablet 2 10")

Hi! First of all, thanks for the Lollipop update, it is working great! There is only one problem I ran into: when I connect a headphone to the audio jack I can hear no sound/music.Before update to Lollipop there was no such problem and headphones work with other devices. I tried a factory reset, but it did not help.Turning Dolby program on or off or changing its settings does not change anything. Audio from built in speakers is normal as is bluetooth streaming.Tablet recognizes headphones: little icon appears on notification bar and speakers are muted upon insertion and playback is stopped in Play Music app upon removal. Also when music plays and I open Dolby app I can see the spectrogram moving, but there is no sound coming though audio jack. I assume this is a software error in Lollipop firmware and would confirm it if I would know how to downgrade firmware...  I hope this issue will be fixed in next patch. Best,András

Lenovo is investigating customer reports that certain headphone/headset/ear bud devices that previously delivered audio through the audiojack no longer work on Yoga Tablet 2 devices after the tablet was upgraded to Android Lollipop, yet other listening devices do.

  • Problem with Android Apps on Yoga Tablet 8

I tried to convince my wife to use the lenovo yoga tablet 8 instead of the iPad. When running the NBC Google app on the yoga tablet 8, the commercial would run but not the video. It is not happening in the Apple iPad. I called up lenovo tech support and they told me to upgrade the firmware and reinstall the app. It didn't resolve the issue. Is anyone having the same problem where you have the same app on the iPad and Google?
From an engineering perspective, why isn't the yoga tablet 8 or 10 running Windows 8.x?

Basically the Android version of that app is just a really bad port of the iOS version for Apple devices. NBC put a tonne of effort into the interface, but zero effort into making it actually work.
Take a look at the reviews on the Google Play page for the app, they're almost all 1 star and negative comments. Blame NBC, not Android or Lenovo.
As to why do the Yoga 8/10 not run Win8...personally I'd say it's because Win8 is an ugly, flawed, pointless pile of crap whose downfall will be swift and sudden very soon. The actualy answer probably edges toward something more logical like: Lenovo cater to multiple markets. There are Yoga (and other Lenovo) tabs that run Windows, and the Yoga 8/10 are the Android equivalent of them. If Windows 8 is important to you, and you don't want to punch yourself in the face repeatedly until you pass out, I'd suggest getting a Yoga 12.

After tablet goes to sleep due to no use it wont turn on back when pressin power button. Agterv some time (could be hours) and multiply presses on power button it turns on for some reason. Can't really figure out any preconditions ore sequences. But it happens almost every time it stays in sleeep mode for a long time, which is extremely annoying as tablet can't be use same moment when it is needed.

    Hi folks,
how can I install Windows 8.1 Professional on my Yoga Tablet 2 8"? I dont want to use "Windows 8.1 with Bing" because I still own a Professional Version of Windows which I could use.
The Tablet doesn't want to boot from USB. It's always saying "There is no USB-Boot Option, please choose another one". How can I install an alternate OS on this tablet?

  • Yoga Tablet 2 With Windows 8.1 as a Point of Sale Device and Clerking an Auction

First of all, the touch response within Windows 8.1 is excellent.  I do physical labor and my hands have a lot of calluses and scars on them and I've always had problems using touchscreens.  It's thus a joy to use this tablet with Windows, as I must say that the touch response is excellent.
Clerking an auction in the company I am with using  Android and Windows are pretty much similar. However, the differences come at the end of the auction during checkout.  Using Android, the bidders still have to queue up at the checkout counter to have their credit cards scanned and their pick tickets and receipts printed.  With the Yoga 2 with Windows, I can scan their cards with a Windows app and the camera and print their receipts wirelessly through our wireless printer.
We recently opened a store in the auction facility and decided to use the auction program as a Point of Sale application.  We figured we could use tablets and the program would give us a good accounting of sales and expenses and inventory control.  It worked!!  We've been using tablets for awhile now and was able to do away with all the paper except for the pick tickets and receipts.
To start with, we have to enter the inventory in the system.  It's time consuming with pen and paper, it all has to be counted and then transferred into the computer.  Using the tablet, it's counted and entered into the system all at once and there's even the ability to take a picture of the item being counted and entered also.  Each item is assigned an item number which is labeled on that item. We also take consignments, we have the ability to list the products by consignors and generate a report so we know what we need to pay the consignor at any given time.
(The Yoga Tablet 2 with the dashboard open.  The Yoga Tablet 2 is on the left.)
Anybody who wants to purchase an item in the store or bid on an item at one of our auctions has to register and be issued a buyers number or a bidder number.  We can enter their email address on this form and send them coupons or sale notices.  A buyer or bidder can opt out of this if they so desire.
Once a buyer is registered, they are now free to purchase an item in the store or bid on an item in an auction. For the most part, this is the window that a clerk will see.
Once the items are sold to the buyer, then it is time to check out.  Enter the buyer number in the box and options will come up to pay, either by cash, check, credit card or Paypal and this is where a tablet with Windows comes in handy because Windows will recognize a credit card scanner and will print receipts wirelessly to an online printer.  Android will also scan a credit card, but I haven't been able to get Android to print from an online printer yet.
The Yoga 2   makes an excellent Point of Sale device, it is light, fast, small, and it runs cool.  There is a video below that shows the hands on experience.
Thank you Lenovo for giving me the opportunity to try this out.
The Yoga Tablet 2 as a Point of Sale device.

So nice ! I like this new tablet and description product and the youtube video is more comprehensive and explanatory.

  • Dual-Booting Windows and Android on Yoga Tablet 2 13?

So I am a big fan of the lenovo yoga tablet so I started looking into the new versions of the tablet and I came upon something curious. both the yoga tablet 2 pro and the yoga tablet 2 13 (windows)  have the same processor (a 64-bit processor) as well as very similar technical specs(the main difference being the windows edition has 4GB of ram instead of 2GB and a larger battery no doubt due to the removal of the integrted pico projector). as well Lenovo has the source code for the android build in the pro available on the website.
So my question is if both are running off the same 64-bit processor is there anything stopping someone from compiling the yoga 2 pro source code and installing the yoga 2 pro android OS onto the Windows version of the tablet (dual-booting both) aside from secure boot needing to be disabled?
after scouring the internet and asking a few lenovo representatives I have found absolutely no information on this (the lenovo reps I spoke to couldn't even confirm the specs of the processors but I found that data from the intel ark database) and it is something I really would like to do if possible (especially with android 5.0 having x86 support integrated in the vanila build)
So anyone have any information on anyone trying this or something similar being attempted?

so, lenovo putted a really bad bios on thoses tablets.
    http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Windows-based-Tablets/Alternatives-OSes-and-CMS-under-Yoga-1051/td-p/190...
To make it short, the uefi bios used on yoga tablets support only x86 so, the x86-64 instruction set can't be used, on windows. Without CSM (compatibility support module) you can't even try to boot some oses. For linux you need to mod it, i'll try later but, i can't build a new bios and lenovo is not present on this board
