Yosemite 10.10.3 & photoshop elements 13
I just did the 10.10.3 update to Yosemite. Now I'm being asked to enter my Photoshop Elements 13 serial number. I no longer have the box. Any fixes?
THANK YOU! BLESS YOU! OH my gosh. The other half of my problem was that I could NOT figure out how to export my photos out of "Photos" AND I CAN'T BELIEVE I DIDN'T THINK TO DRAG AND DROP. I love when apple makes it SO easy you don't think of it. Thank you for alleviating a HUGE stress on me today. That link is tremendously helpful.

If you use a trackpad and don't want to switch to a mouse, you can uninstall and reinstall all day long and will still have problems, but if you really want to try it, you can download PSE 12 here:

I installed Yosemite yesterday. Now, when I paste an image into a new window to combine it with another image, the layer or layers automatically snap back to the center of the new window. How do I stop this from happening?
Thanks, Barbara. I don't use a trackpad on my iMac, just a mouse. However, I DID discover yesterday that if I press COMMAND-T (the command to Free Transform an image) I can then move the image where I want in the window. I need to use the command every time I move the image, which is annoying--in Mavericks, that Free Transform command was somehow the default.

Yosemite compatibility with photoshop element 11 ?
Do you know if upgrading from marevick to yosemite is possible with photoshop element 11 ?
It is - but many of the tools don't function properly when using a trackpad. The click and drag action doesn't work for the brush, spot healing, etc. It does work with a mouse.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 12.1 freezes
I have not been able to get any help at all on the following issue: I just installed MacOS X Yosemite on my MacBook Air 2011. After installing Yosemite I installed the Photoshop Elements 12.1 upgrade, but now when I open the program and try to use the tools, the program freezes. How do I fix this problem?
After I go through all the list of suggested help items on your support page, at the end there is a notice posted that says: "Still need help? Contact us." When I click on that link, it just takes me back to where I started. Very frustrating!!!

I would like to know that if both Apple and Adobe won't fix the bug, what type of mouse do they recommend using that shares the same flexibility and abilities as the track pad but works with PSE 12. Also, I just purchased PSE 12 and don't want to buy the upgrade at full price. Will there be any discounts given to those who own 12? I know these comments are not entirely crash related but needed to include them.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 does not open in OS X 10.10 Yosemite
Ever since I upgraded to OS X 10.10 Yosemite, Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 crashes immediately upon launch. The system generates a report that Apple receives. However, it states to contact the developer of the app. I already deleted and reinstalled the app. I need help getting Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 to work again. I barely have a year with it, so it is shocking to think that Adobe is already dropping support on a program that is barely 1 or 2 versions old. Thanks.

After clicking print the menu that comes up does not allow for a change in paper type. Where can I change the paper type. OS 10.10 Yosemite with Photoshop Elements 13. I have a windows computer with the same program and the print menu has a paper settings option but not on the the mac. What gives. Is the Elements 13 not compatible with the OS 10 Yosemite? Thanks for any help
If you delete all the Adobe Reader stuff it will probably fix this. For almost everything, the Apple pdf handling works better.

Yosemite 10.10.3 and Photoshop Elements 13
I upgraded my Mac OS to Yosemite 10.10.3 two days ago, uninstalled and reinstalled photoshop elements 13, updated all of the elements updates, and installed the java for OSx 2014-001.
Nothing has fixed this problem. When I go to open a photo in Elements it will not access my "Photos" (formerly iPhoto) and crashes when it tries. It seems willing to access files from anywhere else.

Photoshop Elements 11 Editor running on Mac Yosemite will not process Raw files
Upgraded MAC from OS X 10.6.8 to Yosemite 10.10.2 Also updated iPhoto to v9.6 in order to work with Yosemite (and iPhoto's digital camera raw to 6.03). Raw files in iphoto are no longer able to be edited in PSE 11 Raw converter. Raw files from iPhoto using the "edit in external editor" feature will not open to PSE 11 Editor. Can open and edit JPEGS from iPhoto to PSE 11 Editor. I have verified iPhoto preferences. What are my options? Will upgrading to PSE 13 solve problem?
All those camera raw files should open in pse 11, provided you have camera raw 7.4
(camera raw 7.4 is the newest camera raw plugin for photoshop elements 11)

If in the pse 11 editor you go to Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor>About Plug-In and click on words Camera Raw, which version does it say?
If you don't have Version 7.4, then go to Help>Updates in the pse 11 editor to get camera raw 7.4
Another thing to check is the iPhoto>Preferences>Advanced and ensure Use Raw when using external editor is checked. -
Photoshop Elements 10 won't run with the new Yosemite OS. How can I fix this?
Ever since we updated to Yosemite OS we've had so many problems with our programs. I can't even open Photoshop Elements 10. Is there any way to fix this?
First of all, don't try to sign in. Photoshop.com is dead and gone and PSE will hang forever looking for the non-existent servers. Just start the editor or organizer directly from the application file and use that. The editor is this one, not the one at the top level of the PSE 10 folder in applications:

Looking at the Yosemite forum, it is obvious that this is a very common issue. You might want to post in that forum for help and advice.

I have a problem with color prints from photoshop elements 12. The pictures are too light and with strange colors. I have a Canon pixma mg615I0 printer and use mac os X yosemite. The pictures are taken with a coanon eos 550d in the color space sRGB. I have followed adobes recommendations and have tried both letting the printer respektive photoshop manage the colors. But nothing works. I see that there are different opinions about which is best to do so I tried both. I have the latest printer driver installed. Can anyone help me with this?Do the following:
Print a test page from the printer. Perhaps the print head needs cleaning via its maintenance facility.
Let the printer manage colors, not PSE
Calibrate the monitor -
I have Photoshop Elements 10 on a new Mac, using Yosemite 10.1.1 - PE locks up every time I try to sign in. This software was restored to this computer from Time Machine after a theft of my old Mac. How can I fix this? It keeps telling me that there are missing files, too. If I upgrade to Elements 12 or beyond, will this fix the problem?
You can't sign in because there is nothing to sign in to. For PSE 10 the only sign in was to photoshop.com, which has been dead and gone for a year and half. Just skip the sign in. Reinstalling will not change this.

PSE is locking up because it's looking interminably for the non-existent photoshop.com server. -
Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 does not work with Yosemite 10.10
My Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 does not work with Yosemite 10.10 nor does my Premier Elements 12. When I try to start them up I get the error message. After uninstalling and reinstalling a few times its still the same. Strangely enough PSE 11 seem to work with Yosemite. I uninstalled my Premier Elements as well and it behave the same way. How do I get a new copy of Premier Elements 12 to reinstall?
Just to further test what is happening to my iMac on Yosemite is I downloaded the trial version of Photoshop CC and when I go to launch it it gives mr the same error message as when I try to launch PES 12 or Premier Elements 12. So whatever the problem is it involves all three and so upgrading to Photoshop CC doesn't even help. Could there be an Adobe file damaged or missing somewhere that is common to these and yet does not effect Revel and Lightroom?
