Yosemite cannot be downloaded/installed?

I realize I am running an old MacBook. It still works perfectly, but apparently it has outlived its OS once again. This is what I have:

I have almost 100GB of available space on the internal hard drive, plus an external HD with 880GB available.
When I try to download Yosemite from the app store, I get the pop-up that says:
"We could not complete your purchase. This version of OS X 10.10 cannot be installed on this computer."
What am I missing? I've looked over the requirements page several times and from what I can tell I SHOULD be able to upgrade. Am I losing my mind?

I see you are having an issue installing Yosemite on your MacBook. It looks like you have our white polycarbonate early to late 2008 MacBook. Per the attached system specifications that show your model as a MacBook4,1, it looks like this model does not meet the system requirements to install Yosemite. I updated to Yosemite on my iMac. Firefox then began to freeze. I uninstalled Firefox and then downloaded/installed it again. It's possible I uninstalled everything Mozilla related. I'm not sure. How do I recover bookmarks, passwords, etc? I don't believe I previously had a username & password for Mozilla. I do have my Mac backed up in Time machine and also a Carbon Copy Clone.
Also, I was able to migrate setting from Safari. Perhaps I don't want some of that stuff? Looking at the list of installed plugins, I have no clue if they're standard Apple/Mozilla stuff, or if they were selected by me/my family earlier in Safari? Are any of them a threat to my online security?
Any detailed instruction would be most appreciated. I'm not much of a tech guy.

You will have to find your previously used profile folder in the Time machine or other backup and restore the wanted files to the current profile folder.

Hi Anne,
Your version of Safari is still supported. Please see Adobe Flash Player | Tech specs for supported OS and browsers.
If the Flash Player plugin is in the Plug-ins (disabled) folder it's because it's an older version that Apple has disabled in Safari. This has nothing to do with whether or not Flash Player supports the browser.
I'm not sure what you mean by "when i click on flash player itself i am told there is no application to open it." Flash Player.plugin only works in the browser to view Flash content in the browser. The plugin does not open files outside of the browser. If you have SWF files you'd like to view outside of the browser, then you'll need the Flash Player projector. However, based on your previous comments this doesn't appear to be what you are trying to do.
Google Chrome does embed Flash Player in it, while Firefox does not. Mozilla has also recently started blocking older versions of Flash Player in Firefox similar to what Apple is doing in Safari.
Following the 'clean install' instructions should result in you having the latest version of Flash Player installed that will not be blocked by the browser.

Should the advice above not fix things for you...

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

Hi Jeff. I did purchase Premiere Elements 8 from Adobe (download version), but couldn't find the files to download again on the adobe.com website. I did, however carry out another search of files from my old PC and eventually found the files to reinstall on my new PC, using my registered product serial no. Installation has worked. It seems that Adobe has stopped supporting version 8 as I could only find version 9 and later for download from the adobe.com website.

Mac app store thinks i still need to download/install yosemite

I downloaded and installed Yosemite on a 2009 MacBook Pro. There's a popup that won't go away asking if I want to install the new SW.
In the Mac App Store, under purchases it shows Yosemite to be downloaded. However, checking 'about this mac', Yosemite has been installed.
How to get the Mac App Store to recognize that it's installed and I don't need to download it?
Secondary question - I saved the installer file to be able to use it on my other macs. How will this affect the app store? If I bypass the app store (so

Unfortunately what you need is something that is designed for PowerPC Macs. Stuff that is designed for Intel Macs will not work. The PowerPC (PPC) Mac software is getting scarcer. Macs in 2006 shifted to Intel CPUs. Stuff that is designated Universal will work, and you can buy the retail 10.5 if you have no Mac OS 9 related software that needs to load. If you partition your hard disk, or use an external Firewire hard drive partition just for booting into 10.4.11 or earlier, you can still use Classic for Mac OS 9. Don't dump your PowerPC Mac yet, Appleworks has no equivalent in the Intel Mac world once upgraded to Mac OS X 10.7 or later, and this tip covers Appleworks:

So you are unfortunately stuck in the transition period, but if carefully reviewed can be done right if you ready all your documents for the transition when you can afford it.

Cannot download/install adobe flash player

Having issues downloading the newest version of flash player, When visiting hulu I'm told to download the newest version. I visit the download page, even after verifiying I already have the newest version, I then attempted to uninstall and then reinstall but still not working. I've tried through both IE and Firefox, IE says it cannot be downloaded and Firefox downloads but wont install.
I''m not very comouter savvy so any help avasilable would be nice, in language I can understand:)

Hi Ash. I would try first making sure that everything you have in the way of Flash player right this minute is totally uninstalled on your PC, that is if you are using a PC. Go to control panel uninstall programs find that thing & zap it. Also if you are using Internet explorer & Firefox then you may have a problem with Firefox trying to but in with the download. For some reason Firefox doesn't always play nice with certain downloads like printer drivers, software updates & things like that. Not sure why. I suggest you uninstall Firefox as well, before you download Flash . You can always re-install it if you like it. I love Google Chrome myself but go with what your comfortable with. Once you have these done go back to the download page & make sure your download is for the 64 bit version of Flash player. First things first get rid of the flash player you have on there now & dump Firefox. Go to control panel find these two & uninstall. Write me back if need to.

If you go to that link I gave you before and expand the Photoshop Elements 13 part, you should see two downloads for Windows - 32-bit and a 64-bit. Make sure that you download the correct one for your system. Once it is downloaded, just double click on it to start the extraction.
Be patient as it sometimes looks as though it is not doing anything but is actually working in the background. May take a minute or two but it seems longer.

Whenever I try to download the game"Imperium - ROTS", I get a message stating that I do not have enough memory to download. The game is 226 Mb, and I have ~1gb available.
However, I can download/install "Asphalt Overdrive", which is 268mb.
Why can't I downloaded imperium? I've deleted apps/games and restarted. I'm using a Lumia 520 running the latest version of Windows Phone 8.1.

Hello, DerpyBacon. Where do you usually save the downloaded apps? Have you tried moving some of them to SD card or phone memory to check if there's any difference? We'll wait for your reply.

The free version of AVG goes through most of the installation, then stops, says there is a problem and I should look at Firefox security bar at top of page, which I never find.
Trying to download/install Flash Player, pretty much the same frustration, time after time.

Close Firefox before running the Flash installer - that's Adobe's rules for installing the Plugin version of Flash.

Since iOS 8 my purchases disappeared and I cannot re-download them! I have tried going to purchased items and hitting the download from icloud icon. It just says downloading, then goes back to the download icon.
I have tried syncing from my Mac - same thing, they disappear.
This is happening to numerous purchases.
I tried re-downloading one at a time, I tired all at once.
I'll attach some screenshots for convenience.
All this has happened since iOS 8 (and is extra frustrating cause I am mid book on a couple of these).
