Yosemite Continuity Dialer where is Press 2 for English?

I really love being able to answer and make calls from my Mac Book Pro with Yosemite.
But, how exactly do I use a dial pad on my Mac to interact with IVR (Interact Voice Response) systems?
I've tried using the numbers on my keyboard, but there is no acknowledgement sound when pressing
a number and the IVR systems do not seem to recognize them.
I heard there is a dialer hidden in Face Time.
But it seems once I highlight a number on a web page
and it recognizes it as a phone number and gives me the menu option to use my iPhone, I then
conveniently click to make the call, but it does not allow me access to the dialer

It means just click on the small semi transparent rectangular that show you the call data while in a call. When the "focus" is on it any digit you press on the keyboard will be considered an input and sent. Works great for IVR. And there is another thing I found out while digging into this problem... Conference calls.
A completely different story. Obviously merging two incoming calls is easy. But if you already have an ongoing call, even if you use the keyboard to type a phone number, you have no way to "call" it. It only sends separate tones as you type them. So if you want to originate a conference entirely via the FaceTime of the MacOS, you have the following workaround:
There are 2 ways to start a call (as far as I know) - using the FaceTime interface and the Contacts book. But, mind that, only the FaceTime interface allows you to "dial" a number (using the search box) that is not part of your contacts list. So if one of the participants you want to call is unsaved number then you are fine as long as you call him first. Then you call your other participant(s) using the Contacts book.
If both (or all numbers) are not stored in your Contacts then you are in "trouble". You will have to add them to the contacts list in order to use that workaround.
P.S.
There is a bug with merging calls. When you are on a call and you are adding someone to form a conference, if you hit the "merge" button while the newly called participant's phone is still ringing (he hasn't picked up yet) then when or if they pick up you will only have a call with them. The original call will be on hold and there is nothing you can do about it but to hang up. Basically the merge is not happening. Of course, if you just wait until the the second person picks up and then merge the calls, all if working fine.

    Trying to deal with Verizon is maddening!!!
    First I have to call tech support because of an issue on Verizon's end - which was not resolved but "hopefully" by Tuesday someone will be able to look into the matter - needless to say I pay almost $200.00 per month for this setller service.
    But after I spend 45 minutes on my phone while they try to figure it out to no avail. Within 1 minute I recieve an automated call on my phone asking for me to take a survey about my experience.
    HOWEVER - to do this I need to press 1 for English or 2 for Spanish......when I press 1 for English, the recording starts again, press 1 for English and 2 for Spanish and so on....it simply circled again and again, so of course I was not able to take that customer service survey.
    Then for me to even come on the forum to post about the problem with the automated recording - again my username doesn't work, this is the third time this has happened. No it isn't my browser or operator error, it is Verizon website which they haven't fixed yet.
    And, they still haven't fixed the issue when you call for support, they ask you for your account number - when you don't have internet service, and you have paperless billing - you - do - not - have - access to your account number. 
    I do not understand why Verizon has a limit on the number of calls you are allowed to block, because my phone has become useless, even though I pay for this service, I plugged it in recently again, and the spam phone calls continue.
    And Verizon robo calls are unwanted as well.  How do I block Verizon robo calls?

    I had to call Verizon about a problem and got the IVR. It's horrible. Even the TV's noise and the dog barking would mess it up and I have to start over.

    When I tap on Phone/Voicemail I get taken to a screen that asks me to press one to have my voice mail in English and when I do it comes out in Spanish, on that second screen the word Greetings never appears.

    I kind of tried this, and when I clicked on the cloud, an "X" appeared and the podcast title became ghosted!
    Had to wait a lengthy time for all the rest of the podcasts to load (I only connect with iTunes on my ext. hard drive about twice a week), and then go back and "refresh" these - they played all the way through and then were loaded.  This is just the latest mishap with iTunes, which periodically never loads my 3 subscriptions for weeks at a time, and I have to manually load them from the various sites offering the podcasts.  No one at the Apple Store knows what is wrong, and they all finally admit that it's an Apple error and not a site screwup!  I will muddle along and hope the next time I plug in my Est. HD to open itunes that this will not happen!

    If you are running any version of Aperture 3, you should be able to update to this version.  Does the update not show for you?
    The update has been shown automatically for those who had upgraded from Mavericks and been running Aperture 3.5.1. Other users, who skipped Mavericks and Aperture 3.5.1 have reported problems to get the update to show and needed to contact the AppStore Support. The update did not show, if the users tried to update from an earlier version.

    For what? It works fine for me on three different computers. If you want a fix for something then be more specific.
    Try these in order testing your system after each to see if it's back to normal:
    1. a. Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
        b. Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
    2. Restart the computer in Safe Mode, then restart again, normally. If this doesn't help, then:
    Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the Utilities menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    3. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
    When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.
    4. Reinstall Yosemite: Reboot from the Recovery HD. Select Reinstall OS X from the Utilities menu, and click on the Continue button.
    Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
                because it is three times faster than wireless.
    5. Reinstall Yosemite from Scratch:
    Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.

    Pretty much. Except that Apple will replace it for a fixed fee that is far less than the cost of a new phone. In the US the replacement cost for an iPhone 4 is $149. It is comparable in the UK. Unless you can prove that the fault was present at the time of purchase. A switch wearing out would probably be considered normal wear and tear, not a "fault".

    Most of the games on my iPod classic 4g will not play anymore. I get a message that is of no help and when i synced the games they disappeared. What is going on and where have the games for iPods on iTunes gone ?

    Apple removed the clickwheel games from the iTunes Store back in September. 
    Have you tried a hard reset of the iPod to see if that helps resolve the issue of not being able to play the games?  To do this, first make sure the Hold Switch is in the OFF position, then press and hold both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.

    Following through with what JB suggested. The steps involved in replacing the inner for loop with a while loop are outlined below.
    You can replace the inner for loop with a while by doing the following.
    1) Right-click of the for loop and select "Repalce" then navigate to the "while loop".
    2) Make sure the tunnels you where indexing on with the for loop are still indexing.
    3) Drop an "array size" node on your diagram. Wire the array that determines the number of iterations your for loop executes into this "array size".
    4) Wire the output of the array size into the new while loop.
    5) Set the condition terminal to "stop if true".
    6)Drop an "OR" gate inside the while loop and wire its output to the while loops condition terminal.
    7) C
    reate a local of the boolean "stop" button, and wire it into one of the inputs of your OR gate. This will allow you to stop the inner loop.
    8) Drop a "less than" node inside the inner while loop.
    9) Wire your iteration count into the bottom input of the "less than".
    10) Wire the count (see step 4 above) into the top input of the less than. This will stop the inner loop when ever the inner loop has processed the last element of your array.
    Provided I have not mixed up my tops and bottoms this should accomplish the replacement.
    I will let others explain how to takle this task using the "case solution".

    Unfortunately there is no way to change the text or appearance of this dialog box. You are stuck with it as is.

    I have encountered the following error an all the systems I have attempted to run the CS4 install on.

    We are using a modified XP SP3 image. Modified meaning unique GPO's and permission sets. I do not know what all has been changed or is out of the ordinary. We receive this error during the Checking System Profile screen. The blue bar doesn't even begin to move. It takes a couple of seconds, then fail with above stated error. The event viewer shows a security failure audit, but it shouldn't as I have full admin rights into the PC, and the network.
    My main question is what is the Checking for System Profile actually checking? Is it something in the Registry? The System32 directory? Maybe trying to create a file in the temp folder? Does anyone know what it actually does? And where I might begin to look at where my systems are hosed up at?
    Of course if you have seen this error, and know a fix, that's just as good.

    I have exactly the same problem as Chris. I downloaded the free trial version for Adobe Photoshop Extended (CS 4) today and when trying to install, the same error message prompted when checking profile... I do not know what they are at all.
    I checked the log and it says this:

    I do not have hdd storage for E drive. It is a DVD drive actually and the folder is located at the Desktop. I wonder whty the path pointed to E ~_~

    Does anyone know what the education app is that was highlighted during Steve Jobs press release for the ipad 2? It showed a child in a classroom tracing a number or letter outline; and it looked like chalk when he traced it.

    I'm pretty sure it isn't. I might be wrong; but I've searched images of mathboard and it looks to be more for advanced elementary and junior high math. The images shown in the press release were of a kindergarten-age child tracing a single number...more of a learning your numbers/letters than working with math. It showed an outline of the number/letter that the child traced with their finger--as far as I have researched, there is no feature like that on mathboard (where there is a 3"-4" number or letter that the children are to trace to learn their numbers/letters).
