Yosemite download never starts.

I'm trying to re-download Yosemite onto a system that already has it installed, as I want to create a usb bootable installer. On the Yosemite app store page, when I choose "download", is says that Yosemite is already on my machine, but to choose continue to download the installer again. I do this, and aside from the little spinning circle, the download never starts. Don't show in my downloads folder, launchpad, or app folder. Any help would be golden!!!
Thanks and Cheers,
A

  • Trying to download the Trial of Acrobat DC but download never starts

Trying to download the Trial of Acrobat DC but when I get to the page that says "when your download is complete, you will be able to start using Acrobat" nothing happens. The download never starts.

if you follow all 7 steps you can directly download a trial here:  Adobe Acrobat DC Pro/Standard and Reader: Direct Download Links | ProDesignTools
and activate with your serial number.
if you have a problem starting the download, you didn't follow all 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.
the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).
failure to obtain that cookie results in an error page being displayed after clicking a link on prodesigntools.com or initiates the download of an incorrect (eg, current) version.

  • Download Never Starts

Trying to download a trial of Adobe Photoshop Elements 10, and after clicking on the "Download now" button I get a pop up for a License Agreement for Adobe Air, and I click "I Agree". After that, nothing happens. I'm using Mozilla Firefox on a Windows Vista Home Premium computer if that helps. Any idea what's going on?

Have you been able to utilize any other Adobe AIR applications successfully?  You can also initiate a direct download by following the steps listed at http://forums.adobe.com/thread/981369.

  • Download of Adobe Reader X never starts.

Platform: Windows 7 with AntiVirus Software: avast! Version 4.8 Professional running.
Possible related circumstance: Received messages that Adobe reader was out of date.
But , was unable to initiate a download.
When the Download button is clicked a page explaining the installation steps is presented - the download never starts.
    My actions to date:
    1) reader_sl was found and removed - no change in download response.
    2) Adobe Reader was uninstalled.
    3) I have not seen any chatter about this issue.

What is your current version (before you uninstalled) of Adobe Reader?
From where are you trying to download?
    Try here http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

Do you receive any specific error messages when trying to open the Adobe Download Assistant?  Alternately you can try the steps listed at http://forums.adobe.com/thread/981369 to initiate a direct download.

  • Yosemite download fails evertime at 850 MB after successful start I get a "calculating" messsage then error code. Other software downloads fine

Attempting to download Yosemite from the App store leads to a consistent failure at the 850 MB stage of the 5.6GB download. Starts fine on Updates  but then fails after 850 MB and flags up "calculating" followed by an "error" message. Other non-Apple software downloads without any problem. Can anyone through any light on this? I thought using the App store was meant to be a straightforward, oh for a plastic OSX CD in a box.

Without going into a huge disertation, on this let me just say you are not the first and won't be the last that has had issues with the Matshita 816.
I did find a work around, that I will explain.
If you do a lot of burning your drive stores everything in cache files and then all of a sudden will start giving you an error message.
I found running 3 different utilitys, I run them 1 time a week need to or not and haven't got any errors since.
    Macjanitor.

    Cache Out X.
    http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/14850
    Onyx
    http://www.titanium.free.fr/pgs2/english/download.html
These all three do similar thihgs but some do different things.
    Now lets talk media.
I have had the same problems everyone else has had burning 1X and 2X with some of the poor media out there.
After doing a little leg work and trying a ton of different media I have found that Maxell 16X DVD-R will burn at 1X through 16X and works very well.
Be sure to read the packaging and it will tell you this. I opt to use the 3 packs with the individual Jewel cases.(Much Better Quality).
    http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm
So You try those 3 free and shareware programs and go spend 4 dollars on the Maxell discs and see if that doesn't solve your problem. I sure did mine.
    Cheers Don

  • Azureus never starts downloading [solved]

I've already fixed this on beforehand with help of the friendly people in #azureus-support , but I thought I'd post it here because I couldn't find anything about it on the forums.
Azureus does not work with java-gcj-compat.
Symptoms: NAT OK and everything, you can see seeds and peers, but azureus never starts downloading. It looks like a NAT-related problem, but it isn't.
My solution was to install Sun's java instead: pacman -S jre.

If its still in your purchased list, you can redownload:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If that doesn't help, refered to this:

    Hope this helps.

  • Music on iCloud preparing to download but never starts

I Have a new IPhone 6 Plus and trying to download music from my I cloud and it says it is preparing to download but never starts what can be wrong and how do I fix it?

I am having this problem and i could not have explained it better myself.
I have been a iTunes match users since launch and this is the first time i have had this issue. It only seems to be the problem since updating to 8.1.2 because i have no issues downloading whole playlists last week right after i had purchased my new iPhone 6, which was running 8.1.1.
I guess we can only hope to have this issue resolved with a new update, however iTunes Match seems to be becoming increasingly neglected in its support, and continues to be remarkably buggy. Fingers crossed for a fix soon.
