Yosemite iphone call rings on recipients phone but doesn't connect

Hi, I'm running yosemite GM and iOS 8.1.
When I try to place a call, Yosemite shows a called failure message.  The recipient's phone rings and they can pickup.  But the connection is dropped on my side.
Similarly, when I receive calls, my Mac rings, but when I click the answer button, I get a call failure message.
Troubleshooting steps I have taken:
1) Log out and back into icloud on the mac and phone
2) Log out of icloud on imessages
3) Made sure that my mac only had one active network interface

1. Toggle airplane mode: Tap Settings, turn airplane mode on, wait three seconds, and then turn off again.
2. Restart your iPhone.
3. Ensure that your software is up to date:
          - Check for a Carrier Settings Update. Tap Settings > General > About.
          - Check for an iOS Software Update. Tap Settings > General > Software Update. Note: Some updates may require a Wi-Fi connection.
4. Remove the SIM Card and reinsert it. Allow the iPhone to acquire the network again.
5. If your SIM card has SIM PIN enabled, try toggling it off: Tap Settings > Phone > SIM PIN.
6. Try another location. If a different location works, but the original location still does not, contact your carrier to report the issue.
7. Reset network settings: Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
8. Restore the iPhone as new.
9. Contact your carrier to:
          - Verify that the iPhone is properly set up on the account with the appropriate, current data plan.
          - Verify that there are no account-related blocks.
          - Find out if there are specific error messages in the carrier logs that could help determine why the issue is occurring.
If none of the above steps resolves the issue, contact your carrier, make an appointment at an Apple Retail Store, or contact AppleCare to troubleshoot further.

    Speaking of PSTN connection, note that only circuits with out-of-band signaling are supported. In other words, no analog or T1 CAS circuits as CUCM needs answer supervision from the gateway.
    Secondly, the Answer too Soon/Too Late timers become quite important here. CUCM must not see the CONNECT event (or 200 OK if SIP) outside of this window. If it does, CUCM will assume that voicemail answered instead of the user and drop the Remote Destination from consideration. This means the desk phone would start ringing even though the cell stops. Turn up a few debugs to see what the PSTN circuit is telling the gateway and CUCM. When does the call technically connect?
    As for caller ID: what does CUCM send as the ANI of the outbound call? If it passes the correct value and you don't see it on the cell phone, the carrier is filtering your ANI. This is common with RBOCs/ILECs with legacy Class5 switches: they only allow you to set a caller ID value to a DID that you own. You may need to ask your carrier how to override this. Some carriers won't let you, others will if you add RDNIS/Diversion header.

I have restarted my computer and I have done a hard reset and nothing has worked. I haven't had this problem until now. It charges and all, but it doesn't register in iTunes. What can I do?

    I'm very disappointed with Apple products! I was 15 days without my Iphone 5, because it stopped working and the had to be replaced by authorized apple. Then i bought an iphone 5s in two days it stopped working. Doesn't read the sim card. I call to Apple suport and discovery that the model A1533 is not warranted in Brazil and need to be replaced, because there is a hardware problem. In a moment i don't have anyone Phone. Why Apple does not send other equipment equal to authorized to exchange my Iphone, because in Brasil doesn't have the same model? I liked a lot this Apple phone, but i can't use, i have one brand new, but doen'st work. I don't have anybody in USA to exchange in one Apple store. Please help me!

    Judging by all the posts on the forum, there seems to be an issue at Apple's end, although they have made no announcement on their status page. Some users have reported that Apple is aware of the issue.

    A few more things that you can try.
    Turn WiFi off - restart the iPad - turn WiFi on again and then try to connect again. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. Try to join again.
    Go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. Then select your WiFi network again and try to join again.
    Go to Settings>WiFi>Tap on the arrow next to your network name and then tap on Forget this Network in the next window. Then back out of the setting and go back to WiFi and let the iPad find your home network and then tap on the network name and try joining it again.
    Do the same thing as above except don't tap on Forget this Network - tap on Renew Lease at the bottom.

    After month of subscriptions I m through with Skype calling.
    I still have valid subscription calling anywhere around the world but somehow when I call my cell phone, it is still ringing and ringing but my cell phone did get the call at all.
    I give up live agent, it is not a good service.

    What method of syncing contacts are you trying?  Are you using iTunes to sync Contacts?  Are you using iCloud Control Panel to link Outlook to iCloud, and then syncing Contacts from iCloud to your iPhone?

  • Abandoned Call Rings on Agent Phone

    Hello,
    I have a strange situation reported by a supervisor that, abandoned call keep rings on agent phones and when one of the agents answers the call she hears busy tone.
    To reproduce this issue, we made some test calls and hung up the call just before the call starts ringing on agent phone.
    The same call started ringing on agent phone. It looks like abandone en-route.
    Any way to avoid this behavior.

    Do you have an On Exception Goto (ContactInactiveException) step in the script that jumps to an End step? If not, add it near the Accept step. Without this, the script will carry on running even if a caller hangs up. I'm not saying this is your problem but it might be a contributing factor.
    The second question is in-line with Gergely: does the PSTN circuit have disconnect supervision? Is the gateway telling CUCM the call has ended when the outside caller hangs up? (e.g. SIP BYE, Q931 DISCONNECT, etc.) If not this might be the PSTN reorder being heard.
