Yosemite Mail Shortcuts Don't Work
I just upgraded to Yosemite and my customized Mail shortcuts are not working.
I have shortcuts for changing the account I want a message sent from (Option-Command-G for Gmail, Option-Command-Y for Yahoo, etc).
I also have shortcut for select the signature (Option-Command-X for None).
After upgrading to Yosemite there is no way that I can make them work.
Any suggestion will be truly appreciated.

Unfortunately, I had to downgrade to Mavericks.
Many issues. Bluetooth: Magic Mouse works inconsistently. Poor performance with Apple TV which I use it a lot with Skype for video conferencing. Shortcuts.

Photoshop CC 2013 and OS X Yosemite - Lag, Shortcuts Don't Work
I don't have a regular Creative Cloud account. The version of Creative Cloud 2013 master collection is installed on my computer, and it can't be updated because it's not a Team CC account. The collection was provided from my work.
The Version I have is Photoshop CC 14.2.1 x64
Anyways, the big problems I am having is lagging on Photoshop are: Shortcuts are barely working.
Can't press the "UNDO" shortcut, have to use Drop down menu at the top of my computer.
Spot Healing Brush is lagging when I go over something it leaves a dark mark, and when I click it again then it goes away
The shortcut to zoom in or zoom out it doesn't go for like 20 seconds
Any of the brush tools when I try to enlarge or make smaller using the shortcut key [ or ] it won't work.
I knew I shouldn't have updated to Yosemite and deeply regretting it right now.

Lenovo Energy Management broken under Windows 8 - Shortcuts don't work
I've noticed that the Energy Management tool does not work properly under Windows 8 on a U300S.
Especially stuff like the keyboard shortcuts don't work:
Pressing F7 to toggle the wireless and bluetooth settings doesn't bring up the usual onscreen-menu like it does in Windows 7
The buttons to toggle the display brightness bring up the Windows 8 style brightness indicator but doesn't work.Anyone?

My screen freezes up more often and the keyboard shortcuts don't work. I have to manually shut it down. What can I do about it? It's a pain when I'm in teh middle of doing something or chatting in MSN Messenger.
The problem is no Frre Ram. (green slice), Use Disk utility to REpair Permissins & see if the Ble turms to green.

Hi Guys,
Having problem with emoji, I have the character palette shortcut on my dock which I found through article from Cult of the Mac. I click on the emoticon and drag it to my email or whatever and get a blue box - no emoji. I tried the keyboard shortcut - doesn't work. I tried the drop down the menu in edit - doesn't work either. I am running Lion and want to upgrade to Mountain Lion. Want to fix this before I upgrade or should I just upgrade and hope for the best? Been all over the net looking for solution.

blueheron11Pages does not support the Apple font used for color emoji, so that behavior is normal.
With what app are you reading the yahoo mail? There is really no guarantee than any other email service will show the special Apple font involved.
You should have no problem putting emoji directly into Mail or Text edit via drag drop from the Character Viewer as shown below.
You should also be able to upload graphics here easily by clicking on the camera icon. My email is tom at bluesky dot org. -
Keyboard shortcuts don't working.
I used to my keyboard shortcuts at my mac, iphone and ipad bur my mac book don't work any more with this shortcuts. All my settings are ok on my iphone and ipad but it don't syncronize.
Some onde can help me with this?Your user account is not named Administrator, though, is it? You probably don't have the built-in Administrator account turned on (it's off by default). See Built-in Administrator Account - Enable or Disable - Windows 7 Help Forums and Elevated Command Prompt - Windows 7 Help Forums for directions on how to turn this account on and off.
Before you do that, though, you can try some other things. Go to your current user account, as directed in the previous post, and rename the two Adobe folders, reboot and restart ID. New folders should be created, and hopefully the permissions will be correct. If the shortcuts still are not there.
If that doesn't work, delete or rename the new Adobe folders created in the previous attempt, go to Users in Control Panel and create a new user account with and make it an administrator, then log on with that account and start InDesign. If the shortcuts work, copy the Adobe folders to your original user account.
Still not working? Make sure you are logged in on your regular account. On each of the two Adobe folders in your user profile right-click and choose Properties, then the Security tab. Verify that your user and System both have full control.
Still not working? Time to activate the Administrator Account.
Set a Restore Point before you do any of this stuff, just in case.... -
Illustrator CS5 shortcuts - don´t work
Hi everyone,
after upgrading to CS5 on my work Mac, all of my favourite keyboard shortcuts (which are not custom) seems not to work. Here are the basics functions I´m missing:
cmd+space = ZOOM IN
tab when resizing objects = keeps the aspect ratio/proportions og the object
holding alt then dragging objects = duplicate them
These are very important funtions for me, but they don´t work for some reason. Scaling objects and keeping the same proportions is now a much longer process than I am used to.
Would be glad if someone have a solution to this problem. The shortcuts are not listet in the properties, so I don´t know where to find them either.
Best regards from Norway!I have investigated this problem some more, after finding out thru this forum at it's caused by some interferance with other software/plugins. I now have everything going as usual, that includes iTunes and Firefox, but I have not installed the Delicious plugin for Firefox - and it seems to work. I have not experienced the problem thru the last days, which is very unusual in the positive manner .
The solution must be that if you have this problem or similar problems, it's probably caused by other software. try closing on by one, and restart CS4/5. Sort out which software is causing the problem.
Weird think is that on my home computer, also an iMac with the exact same configuration as my work computer, this problem does not appear with any software installed. I have all plugins running in Firefox at all time, and every software is exactly the same as work...

Yosemite Mail context menu not working
Since the installation of Yosemite, Mail context menus no longer work. Control-clicking on a hyperlink in a mail messages opens a context menu containing these items:
Selecting any of the first 3 has no effect. Just clicking on the hyperlink will switch to the browser (Safari) and open the link. Clicking on "Services" does display a list of Services, and "Open URL in Firefox" at least seems to work. However, "Open URLs in Safari Tabs" does not. This seems to indicate a possible disconnect between Mail and Safari in particular.
I've seen this problem in the Yosemite beta, the 10.0 release and the 10.1 release. I haven't heard of many encountering this problem, but I have heard of a few. Has anyone here seen this, and maybe found a resolution for the problem?

Syncing rules in Mail (OSX) don't work...
I can't sync rules with iCloud. When I activate Documents and Data in iCloud, the rules configured in Mail are deleted. If I create a new rule, when re-start Mail, the rule dissapear.
If turn off Documents and Data, all work perfect. I have a backup of SyncedRules.plist (Library->Mail->V2->MailData) to restore.
I had tried a lot of "fixes", but nothing work.
I have another issues with Documents and Data betwen iOS and Mac. Syncing of data with apps like Tweetbot, IAwriter, iWork... don't work. I'm sure something in my iCloud account is wrong, but I don't know how fix it.
Are there anyone from Apple that can help me?.

Regards.Not as part of my immediate issue, but (as I did explain above) 1) this thread deals with rules/sigs vanishing, and 2) that seems to happen a lot, to people who sync AND people who don't, 3) it seems that this problem is sometimes attributed to iCloud syncing when that is not the problem and 4) I was hoping there might be some related Mail issue (besides just iCloud) that *might* help explain things. I aslo said I thought it was a long shot, but....any port in a storm. No offense intended, but it seems that my long shot didn't turn up any useful info.
That said, since i DO have a heckuva lot of rules set up, and having them reside eslewhere might be useful. Is there a way to move rules already in existence to iCloud? If I make changes locally, will they get picked up by iCloud or overwriten? If not, then iCloud won't help me at present..... -

Bug Synopsis: CTRL+SHIFT+Alpha shortcuts do not work in LabVIEW. Most notably, CTRL+SHIFT+Z, CTRL+SHIFT+E, and CTRL+SHIFT+S
Test setup: LV2012 32bit with f1 patch running in Win7 64bit inside a Parallels 8 VM in OS X 10.8.1
To summarize the testing I have tried:
Many different LabVIEW, Guest OS, and Host OS combinations all fail, including:
LV2012f1 32 and 64 bit, and LV2009 32 bit
Win7 32 and 64bit, and also WinXP x64
Parallels 7 and Parallels 8
OS X 10.7 and 10.8
Capturing the keyboard by the VM
Twiddling every keyboard setting possible on Parallels, Guest, and Host
Reinstalling keyboard drivers
Plugging in a known-good keyboard that works on a native Windows machine
Deleting LabVIEW.ini and letting it regenerate
Remapping the shortcuts from, e.g., CTRL+SHIFT+E to CTRL+E - in this case, "Show in Project" works, so this might indicate it's a problem registering the shortcut press, not invoking the action itself.
Sending the keystrokes via on-screen keyboards from both Guest and Host
Sending the keystrokes via SendInput from user32.dll WinAPI
Testing every imaginable combo of FN, CONTROL, ALT/OPTION, COMMAND/CMD, SHIFT
Reinstalling VMs from scratch and reinstalling LV
Here's a kicker: CTRL+SHIFT+Alpha shortcuts work fine on other Windows programs (I've tried 4 different programs, including Chrome, Notepad++, Paint.NET), yet it does NOT work for VIPM with CTRL+SHIFT+C. This means that the only two programs where the CTRL+SHIFT+Alpha bugs exist are both LabVIEW-related.
Here's another kicker: It's only CTRL+SHIFT+Alpha shortcuts with the prob - CTRL+SHIFT+3 properly toggles grid alignment, and the "Tools >> Options >> Menu shortcuts" will register any CTRL+SHIFT+Non-alpha shortcut; it just does not respond to the CTRL+SHIFT+Alpha shortcuts.
Any new troubleshooting ideas are highly appreciated; please feel free to jump in here or on LAVA.

Illustrator Zoom and Grabber Hand shortcuts don't work
Hi There,
This morning I opened Illustrator and some of the keyboard shortcuts had stopped working - specifically:
Spacebar = Grabber Hand
Zoom In = Command Spacebar
Zoom Out = Command Option Spacebar
Is there a way to reset this to make these work again?
Also, if there's a shortcut or key combination that changed the defaults in the first place, is there a way to turn it off?
Any help would be much appreciated.
CheersWhen shortcuts stop working it's generally due to some third party application which has commandeered the shortcuts and refuses to let them go. Common culprits are Microsoft applications, Intuit applications, and some VPN applications. Make certain, if you are running any of this software, you've updated tot eh latest versions. You can test this by simply restarting the system. If the Illustrator shortcuts work after a reboot, then you absolutely have an issue with some third party application.

Mail Rules don't work in Mavericks
It seems with the update to 10.9 Mavericks Mail rules no longer work. My email address was harvested by spamers and I have been using rules to weed throught the 100's of emails that I receive each day.
Russian Brides, Vigra, Learn a new language get moved into the trash when delievered. Now nothing happens.
I just tried to write a new rule and when I clicked the Prefs pannel I got the spinning cursor. After waiting for some time I did a force quit only to find that Mail was not responding.
Anyone have any ideas? I did not see any major changes with Mail and Mavericks so I'm not sure why it's been effected.

since i upgraded to 10.8.3. two of my three mail-accounts do not work, although all settings are correct. the SMTP-servers are offline... (?).
they are POP accounts. does anyone has mail-problems too?
the phone-support with the providers also didn´t get a solution.
