Yosemite/SMS Relay - with a Windows phone?

Hi,
I currently have Yosemite on my iMac which is SMS relaying from an iPhone 6 Plus on my personal number.
My work phone is a Nokia Lumia (Windows). Is there a way I can either:
- set up multiple Apple ID's on the same user login so that I can use iMessages for both sending from my personal number and work number,
- just make do with switching from one user account to another, ie to different iMessages loads in different user accounts, but somehow getting my 07736 number working so that I can use it with relay (but I don't have the 07736 on an iOS device).
Annoyingly, my 07736 number has an old/bigger SIM card, so I can't temporarily put it in my iPhone 6 Plus so I can register it for SMS relay.

Hi,
At this time iMessages and the forwarding of SMS only works between iOS iPhones on at least iOS 8.1.1 and Macs running Yosemite.
This is set up when both the iPhone and the Mac are connected to the same Network (AND the iPhone has a carrier signal)
The SMS messages then come to the iPhone which forwards them to the Mac.
The Mac will play "catch-up" each time the iPhone comes back into range and is On.
It does not see the SMS messages at other times.
Ergo: it cannot be set up and then the SIM placed in a non iPhone as this will not be able to forward any new Messages.

Apex 4.2 with WP7 ( Windows Phone 7 ) Bug ?

Hi,
since my upgrade to APEX 4.2 ( comming from 4.1.1.) I am unable to login any application with my windows phone 7/internet explorer.
I'm also unable to login any development workspace from the same phone. On a desktop I don't have these problems.
It's hard to debug but it looks like pages don't get submitted, after pressing a button nothing happens.
In the end login in is not my biggest problem but I need to be able to submit pages from a browser on a phone (any phone/os if possible).
Anybody had similar experience and/or a solution ?
Hope you can help me out since this is important functionality in some of my applications :(
Just checked : The problem also occurs on other browsers on the same device ( installed Safari as a test ). With IE the device identifies itself as :
Mozilla/5.0(Compatible; MSIE 9.0; Windows Phone OS 7.5; Trident/5.0;IEMobile/9.0; Nokia Lumia 800)

p.s. I did not create any extra (mobile) user interfaces in these applications, they should behave the same on a phone as a desktop so I'm just using the desktop interface.

I have been able to reproduce this using the emulator included in version 7.1 of the SDK and have filed bug #15858237 to track this. I have also been able to narrow this down to some specific code in the apex.submit function, which was added in 4.2 to address a separate bug relating to browser autocomplete support for IE. I have no easy workaround for you currently, but will update the thread with any further progress and also have this added to our [url http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/apex/application-express/apex-42-known-issues-1863578.html]Known Issues page.
In one of your posts, you mentioned that you were able to workaround this by "manually program the submit code via a dynamic action on the button executing PL/SQL which does the submitcode(insert/update or what else is needed) and after that redirect to the wanted page". Can you expand on exactly what you did here?

How do I sync my iCloud calendar with my Windows Phone?

My personal life is filled with Apple products (iPhone, iPad, Mac.. you name it). My work life is full of Microsoft products. This means that my entire family uses iPhones but I have a Windows Phone. In an effort to simplify life and better organize family activities and obligations, I have set up a shared calendar. Since this is for family purposes and my family all use Apple products, it made sence to set it up in iCloud. The email I use for my Apple ID is my hotmail address.
On my WP, I have set up the hotmail email and the hotmail canendar syncs up without any problem. However, the iCloud caledar does not sync at all. I am able to get the calendar to sync with my outlook on my PC and iPad without any issues but neither of these devices is carried in my pocket and readilly looked at for scheduling and notifications.
Please Help!!!!

Windows phones and iCloud are not compatible I'm afraid. Try going to the iCloud website on your phone, you may be able to view it there.

Is there a way to use Itunes with a windows phone?

I just bought a windows phone and would like to bring in tracks from my Itunes library to use as ringtones. I have 5000+ tracks in my Itunes (for windows) library and refuse to purchase any more as ringtones.
Is there a Itunes for windows phone app I can get? Or is there a good 3rd party software utility that I can use to import tracks to my phone, either using the web; or with a direct connection. My phone has the Zune software and it will not allow tracks within it used as ringtones.

Disappointed with my windows phone!!(lumia 620)

I bought a new lumia 620 as a back up to my android(htc one x+)..but I am very disappointed with some of these glitches..
1. No notification centre..it's really a pain!
2. Can't pay via SIM card to purchase an app..
3. Can't play high mp4, mkv, flv videos though I think the snapdragon s4 is capable to do it..is Nokia waiting for a developer to put up such an app at the store?!!
4. Limited file download size...!!! It's worst...I got an unlimited data plan and don't really have to care..why Microsoft has to protect me!! Instead they should turn it to a feature by allowing the user to decide the restriction..for example: if u have a 1 GB data plan you should be able to set a restriction which would protect you when your overall usage exceeds 1 GB! I feel as if windows is trying to follow APPLE blindly..why make it so complicated instead of user friendly!!
5. My handset does crash and restarts at least once a day..
6. Battery drains out too quickly..something which is not expected from Nokia
7. Very few apps..most of them are **bleep**..if not they are too costly..I even feel Microsoft should reduce the price of app hosting
8. Whenever I share via Bluetooth..my phone hangs for sure and there is no option other than removing my battery and restarting..
9. If any unsupported file format is downloaded I don't know where is it stored..and eats up my memory...
I am even using APPLE IPOD with which I share a better experience than my lumia...
I am sure to ditch this useless paper weight within a month if no improvements appear..
Sorry if my language is rough but it's my frustration with lumia..and I am fed up..expecting a good update...
And these are what I know is all consumers want..Nokia and Microsoft should think about consumers satisfaction above all!!!

Paying through your mobile account for apps is the responsibilty of your network provider to support this feature for Windows Phone, so you need to take your complaint to them.

Hi Mattia, Welcome to the HP Support forums. I see that you would like to learn how to print from your HTC Windows phone to your Officejet Enterprise X585 printer. There is not a Windows version of the HP ePrint mobile app or the HP AiO Printer Remote app and I am unaware of any timetable for the release of a Windows version of the mobile apps. Once the ePrint feature on your printer is setup you should be able to email the printer from your HTC Windows phone. I noticed that you are also requesting help on connecting your printer to the Cloud. For this I recommend posting it in the commercial forums. Intune trial with sccm & windows phone issues

I've got intune up and working with sccm but I have a couple of issues. Can anyone help with these?
1. I have enrolled 2 phones, Nokia Lumia 520 and Nokia Lumia1320. The company portal is available on both but doesn't work on the 1320, I just get a blank white screen.
2. When I look at the deployment status in SCCM for the portal application it shows 'Host platform not applicable' for both phones even though the application is installed.

I've managed to resolve the deployment status issue by deleting the app and recreating it.

Syncing my imac with my windows phone

I have a new smartphone (Nokia Lumia 920). I am having some major trouble figuring our how I can sync my pictures and music. Does anyone have any ideas?

Apple has built a very comprehensive system-wide syncing framework (SyncServices) into Mac OS X which any applications can use to sync data between applications, computers and over the internet.
There are third-party tools (at additional cost) to keep various types of data between Macs in sync. It depends on exactly what data you want to sync.
An free alternative (although not so feature-rich) to MobileMe is Fruux

SMS relay only works with one iMac or Macbook Pro, but not both?

I recently got a new iMac (5K). I already own a Macbook Pro 13" (bought in 2013). When I got the new iMac, I wanted to transfer all my data from my Macbook onto the new iMac, so I used the most recent time machine back-up from my Macbook to install onto the new iMac. No issues there. I also own an iphone 5s and ipad mini (1st generation), all with the most recent software updates. Approximately 1 week ago, SMS relay stopped working between my iMac and my iphone. I could type an SMS text message on my iMac, send it, and although it would transmit to the recipient, it would say "not delivered" on my iMac (it would show up as delivered successfully on my iphone). Consequently any SMS messages received would not show up on my iMac. I use the same login for my macbook pro and my iMac and for some reason my iphone stopped listing my iMac as one of the devices for SMS relay. I was on-line with Apple support for 3+ hours yesterday trying to figure out why this wasn't working. I did an SMC reset which temporarily fixed the problem, but as soon as I tried to use SMS relay with both the macbook pro and the iMac, the phone would only recognize one of them and ultimately always choose the macbook pro.
iMessage chats still sync just fine but the SMS chats do not any more. I was wondering if anyone else had the same issue, and if they did, are there any fixes?

Both the mini-displayport plugs and TB plugs are physically compatible which is why you can plug it in. But if the iMac has a mini-displayport for video it won't work with the TB display.
Check your System Profile to see if it tells you whether you have a TB port. And if there is no information about that post here or look up for yourself the kind of ports for that model of iMac. System Profiler will give yo that information (click Hardware on the left). From the model information it can be definitively determined whether that imac supports TB.
Also, so long as the Displays system preferences is not showing an Arrangement tab then it is not detecting the second display.

Issue with Sqlite for Windows Phone 8.1!

I was working on a Windows phone 8.1 silverlight project, which I thought of discontinuing, and transform that same project as a Windows Phone 8.1 runtime project. After reading through a lot of articles on the web, which says that Windows Phone runtime API
would be the one that will be used to develop applications for a variety of devices, so I thought of thinking on the long run and decided to stick with the Windows Phone runtime 8.1.
I am not sure whether I made a strange decision, since I moved to Windows phone runtime I haven't made a single step ahead in my project. What I get is all exceptions. I am trying hard to make SQLite work with my project, I am not sure what I am missing, I
went through all the tutorials on the web and I feel that everything is right in my code.

Problem with recovering from windows phone 10 to 8.1

I installed windows phone 10 on my phone (lumia 730) and after a survey decided to turn back to WP 8.1. So, I installed windows phone recovery tool on my lap top and connected my phone with in. In the middle of recovery process the connection failed and
my phone turned off. Now, it does not power on and there is no response to charge and it seems the phone is dead. please guide me in this way.

Will Windows Phone AppData change/Deleted if I update.aapx file with .xap in to the store

I created an universal Windows Phone application using c# xaml that have user information in the appdata 'Local'
folder.
And I published it in to store. But due to some performance issue I forced to move on to silverlightfor
updating the application.
So I need to update package .appx file
with .xap file.
Is that possible ? Will it delete data from Local app folder of the current user ?

Hi,
you cannot downgrade a published app with version 8.1 to version 8, and you cannot downgrade an AppX Bundle to an Appx Package, or an Appx package to a XAP package.
You could updated it with a Windows Phone Silverlight 8.1 app.
After the updated, during the first access you could remove all data stored in Local Storage.

SBH-52 with Windows Phone 8

I would like to use it with my Lumia 1520. But it appears that the SBH52 works only with Android!!!
Does it exist a way to make SBH52 worked with a Windows Phone 8 ??

It should work just as any Bluetooth headset to any device but you'll miss out on the special features if you don't have a Android device.
No tests have been made with Windows phones I believe so I can't promise any functionality. But perhaps you could tell us more about the problem you run into?

Lumina 900 with Windows Phone OS 7.5 does not answ...

When I am using my BlueAnt Q2 headset and recieve a phone call on my Lumina 900, the phone call is not automatically transferred to my headset. The phones speaker is used instead.
To use my headset with the call, I have to open the phone keypad and click on the bluetooth button/key to have the call transferred to my headset. Then everything is fine. But this is obviously very awkward.
Other than this, I have no other issues with the headset.
Why wouldn't the phone call be automatically tranferred to the headset?
Is this a known issue with either Windows Phone OS 7.5 or the Lumina 900?
Is there a fix?

How to develop a Library for Windows Phone 8.1?

I'm a quite new developer in this topic, I have never created a Library and right now, I need to create a library using this project of C because the normal OCRs cannot recognize 7 segments display:

I need to use a special OCR that detects 7 Segments Displays. I have been reading during the week and I discovered that the most similar project is this one:

However it's a C project not a C# or VB and I must create a special library (or project) to integrate with my Windows Phone App. As I said before last year I used this article:
How to use SQLite in Windows Phone
And in the beginning it was just a C++ project that you must add to manipulate SQLite. So, I think I should create something like that for migrate those libraries and later integrate with my project but I have never worked with this kind of libraries
or create C/C++ libraries that finally will work with a C# App. Thanks for your time.
