Yosemite update: how to retrieve my mail ?

I have just installed Yosemite shaving my macbook pro (2010).
Probably the numerous updates followed over time had slowed down my Mac and it was impossible to work.
In order to avoid problems of conflict I simply made a backup of all the folders that interested me on external drive without the use of programs such as Time Machine and others.
But now I want to retrieve all but I have a big problem with access to the mail library of the external drive.
How do I retrieve configurations, email and password from the external drive and insert them in the current mail folder of Yosemite?

I cannot come up with specific step-by-step instructions on how to restore Mac Mail on Yosemite via Time Machine backup. I'm still unable to find step-by-step instructions to do this as well. I am running OS X Yosemite from 1 week (I erased my previous Mac configuration). I have multiple mail accounts (IMAP and POP) with many, many folders that I need installed on Yosemite. Deleting a mail account causes all your mail stored in that account’s mailboxes to be removed from the computer as well, and you were warned that this would happen by the following alert:
Remove Account
Are you sure you want to remove the <AccountType> account "<AccountName>"?
This will permanently delete the account setup information, mailboxes, and messages from your computer. Messages stored on the mail server will not be affected.For IMAP-type accounts, this is not a problem because mail is stored on the server. If you deleted a POP account, however, your mail has been wiped out from the computer, not just moved somewhere.
To prevent that from happening, you should have moved your mail to custom “On My Mac” mailboxes instead of leaving it in the account’s mailboxes. Actually, using the account’s Inbox and Sent mailboxes for archiving purposes is a bad idea regardless.
If the POP account was configured to leave the messages on the server for some time, setting up the account again would cause any messages still on the server to be downloaded again, just like for IMAP accounts, but this would only work for received mail that has not yet been removed from the server.
If the messages are not on the server and you don’t have a backup (which you should have made before doing something like that), you may try to salvage as many deleted .emlx files as possible with a data recovery tool such as Data Rescue II or FileSalvage (the files to be recovered would be different in the case of Mail 1.x). Of these, the only one I know for sure that can currently recover deleted .emlx files is FileSalvage. Stop using the computer right now if you want to try that, as anything you do with it may cause the deleted files to be overwritten.

We have java messaging server 7.3 and convergence 1U3.one of user deleted the mail from convergence console, But still that mail is available on the mail server store partition,We want to retrieve the deleted mails again.Please help me.

I assume you're talking about Security Update 2012-004 for Snow Leopard? Have you by any changed moved your Mail application out of the Applications folder? This will cause updates to fail to work - Apple's included applications should always be left where Apple installed them.
If this is the case, move it back, then downlad the update from Security Update 2012-004 (Snow Leopard) and run it again.

Yes. Delete the Apps that were not Purchased using Your Apple ID.
But a Restore as New is the way to go.

Exchange 2013 - Mail left at ISP-how to retrieve

Using Exchange Server 2013 for about 2 months with both roles on one server. Anti-spam is disabled and we have no other spam filters presently. We have the default connectors for Sending and Receiving via MX records. Our ISP (Time Warner)
host our email. We began to notice some emails had not been received for a couple of our 10 users, so we logged into the web interface for the mail box of just one of our users to check if anything was in the Inbox. Sure enough, there were actually several
emails over that 2-month period that the user never received. We have not checked other users yet but suspect that they have emails left there too.
1. It seems that if our Exchange Server doe snot Receive the emails, they remain at the ISP. How to we determine why this happened? What should we check in our configuration, etc.
2. How do we retrieve the mail now setting at the ISP in the user's Inbox? We use Outlook 2013/2010 as email client for users.

We are not using POP.
We are using SMTP with default send/receive connectors.
Perplexed as to why the mail, if for some reason, could not be received by our Exchange Server, that it would go to the ISP server.
How many MX records should we have if we just have the one Exchange Server? Right now we have (3): Our mail.domainname.com point to our Static IP of exchange Server:

Looks like most of the mail left at ISP is Spam but not all. Also, it does not appear that our Exchange Server (Internet, router) was down this many times -very random dates times on missed emails.

All of the data should be on your computer, simply sync it back.
If the update was done via iTunes on the computer, the first step in the process is a backup of the device.

I have a requirement to verify the validation of coming email with digital certification. The mail is with digital certification. If the coming email is valid, I 'll get the attachemt of the mail for further processing. I have a sender mail adapter and receiver file adapter configued.
I have already my own developed adapter module, which is configued in mail adapter. My question is how to retrieve the detailed certificate information in the adapter module developed by myself. Is it feasible?

The WL-Client-Proxy cert should be the cert used on the proxy side if SSL is configured between Apache and WebLogic, so I believe that is the reason why that does not work. Basically, the problem here is that SSL is end-to-end, and the two ends of this transaction are the client and apache.
That said, when you add the +ExportCertData option, this should record the client's SSL certificate in the vairable SSL_CLIENT_CERT. So you should be able to use request.getAttribute("SSL_CLIENT_CERT").

If this doesn't work for you (which is possible if the WL_Proxy is doing something funny to the request), it is probably best just to dump out the entire contents of the session, and see what you have:

Just to be clear. You have downloaded the Yosemite installer. However you say while it's updating you get the error you are not online. This is confusing since you shouldn't be able to use your computer in the process of updating.
Exactly where do you see you need to 10.9 to get on Safari?

It might be that you selected "Delete sent mail after a mont (or a week, or whatever)" in Mail Preferences. iCloud account is IMAP, so it won't keep mail in your HD. I have that problem.
