In the latest version of Adobe Reader the message "You are viewing this document in PDF/A mode." is displayed very prominently when viewing PDF/A files.
While fairly trivial if you are spending some time with the document this can be quite a nuisance in my situation where I'm proofing a large number of single page PDF/A files.
I have a web based application that allows me to page through them quite rapidly, but this message eats up considerable space on my screen and means I have to adjust zoom more often than otherwise would be the case.
So my question is, is there a way to disable this message, i.e. just show the blue "i" button that can be used to toggle the message on and off. Obviously toggling it off for each individual file does me little good.
I did find instructions to simply disable PDF/A mode, but that is not what I want, I would like to proof them in PDF/A mode, just get rid of the message. After all I'm well aware that I'm viewing the documents in PDF/A mode and need no further reminders.

I have a problem a with a Workflow Definition because I appear the following Error in the log (Setup > System Administration > System Management > System Information > Logs)
u201CYou cannot view this document (Contract Document Type) because you do not have the appropriate permission. Contact the system administrator and request permission.u201D
This happens when I change the status of a Draft to Draft Review. specifically, within the prescript code occurs when you run the line of code:

When you say "develop with IE9 in mind not IE11" do you mean use SWF instead of HTML5? I used the standard question types, and a converted PowerPoint presentation. I didn't add anything out of the ordinary.

Reader XI - View documents in PDF/A mode - document links not disabled

I am using Adobe Reader XI and I have the option PDF/A View Mode set as;
View documents in PDF/A mode: Only for PDF/A documents
My colleague has the same set up
We both see the message when opening the same pdf that the 'the file claims compliance with the PDF/A standard...'
When I open this PDF/A document the hyperlinks within the document still work for me
When my colleague opens the exact same document the links are all disabled - they are legible and you can hover to see the link, but the links will not work.
I believe that the PDF/A standard is being correctly applied to my colleague with the PDF/A view mode set as it is... but not for me.
Are there further PDF/A settings for viewing such content that could impact whether any links will work? Anything that could override the Reader preferences?

Thanks for answering this one - so we would expect that Reader set to "View documents in PDF/A mode: Only for PDF/A documents" should not disable the links... so the question would then get flipped so that why does someone who has such a setting find that they cannot use the links?
is there any further setting in Reader which might use that setting but apply it to PDF/A-2, PDF/A-3 instead? I'm not sure I can see linking to external source mentioned in any PDF/A spec - although there is if the PDF tries to use data from a different (non PDF/A) source within the doc...
If there is no such setting within Reader then I'll haver to look at any other tech surrounding what is happening when a user opens a PDF/A... anything which could change how links are handled... been a bit of a fruitless task so far but if I find anything I'll note it here...

I was loading a website, it then stated as below, it wasnt any of the problems stated below.

HOW TO STOP you are opening this program for the first time

I continue to get the warning "you are opening this program for the first time". I don't want that warning to ever appear again for any program. How to permanently get this warning to never again appear?

The reason I don't want these warnings (especially for programs that I have had on my Mac for years!) is because I now use ecamm's "Printopia" to send items from my iPad3 running iOS 6.0.1 to my MacBook Pro-13 (mid-2010) running Mountain Lion 10.8.2 -- and in order to do this:
1. Both my iPad and Mac have to be on the same WiFi network.
2. The Mac has to be awake, cannot be in the "sleep" mode
OK but in order to wake my Mac, I've found that using the app "Remote" on my iPad to open iTunes AND PLAY A SONG will "waken" my Mac*.
So now, for example, I send a .jpg file to my Mac. I have it set so that GraphicConverter opens when a .jpg file is to be opened. OK but if this warning appears (and even though I have had GraphicConverter on the Mac since the beginning of time…) I sometimes (like today) get this warning. Of course I am not at my Mac and yet when I eventually go to my Mac-- there is that dialog box sitting there and until I click OK the photo doesn't open (and on my iPad I don't get a confirmation that it has been sent, because it hasn't until I click OK on the Mac).
This could happen for other types of files, too - text files or Word documents etc.
It seems to happen when I UPDATE a program, like when GC went from 8.3 to 8.3.1 for example.

*Perhaps there is a better / faster / easier way to "waken" my Mac from my iPad? This is the only way I have found so far…

You cannot perform this action in modification/enhancement mode

Hi,
I want to delete an interface (IF_EX* --> in the sap namespace) an the following message appears:
"You cannot perform this action in modification/enhancement mode" (Message Class OO, Message Number 401)
The interface was created by myself in a SAP development class / package.
I think the problem is, that the system is trying to delete the interface by using the modification assistant.

How did u create an interface with name beginning with IF_EX*, the standard interfaces for BADI should have a name like that.
If you've create a custom interface it should be called Z*.

I am having a few problems opening a handfull of PDF documents on the network using Adobe Acrobat Reader XI & X. When opening the documents with Adobe Acrobat Reader X I receive the below error message
I am then directed to a site to instal the FileOpen plugin which I do. I have installed the plugin both automatically using an msi file and manually by placing it in the adobe plugins folder however none work. I am still getting the same error message. As this document was located on a network share I copied it to my desktop and launched it. I still received the same error message however I updated adobe reader to XI and re-installed the fileopen plugin. Now I am receivng the below error message and I am still unable to open the document. When clixking OK it takes me to a site to download the FileOpen plugin which I have already installed.
Protected mode is not turned on. Any help with this error would be greatly appreciated.

You'd need to contact the makers of FileOpen. It isn't an Adobe product.Check especially whether your version of Reader is supposed to be compatible with it.An update to it may be needed.

HT4356 How do you conver a Page document to PDF when there is no printer available

I purchased a $400 printer last year..now I cannot use it with my IPAD3 because it has to be an Air Print printer.
I need to convert my Page document to PDF and the only way to do that is to go to Print a document...but, when
I get there it tells me that I don't have a printer...Therefore, I cannot get to PDF conversion...
I thought Apple have an incredible group of smart software engineers ...what happened?
Now, I have to go and buy another $400 printer to be able to convert a document to PDF?
I bought this IPAD3 for my wife since she is not a computer expert but, so far I see that this is a product more compicated than a personal computer.
The hardware is great but, so far my wife has a hard time to use the Apps I got for this IPAD...I'm a software programmer working for a major computer company and I also have a hard time trying to get these functions to work...

Under "Share and Print", tap "Email Document", then choose PDF. Alternately, tap "Sent to iTunes", "Copy to iDisk", or "Copy to WebDAV" and then choose PDF...

How do I change the "view documents in PDF/A mode" to never through the registry

We manage over a hundred windows boxes and we're having issues with some of the PDF forms displaying in PDF/A mode, even when they're saved as regular PDFs. We have an enterprise patch management through which I can make a change to the registry of all the computers. Is there such a registry entry that I can change to set this value to "never"?

No Audio on Main Menu - Please post if you are having this issue....

Howdy...
I am having trouble getting any audio on the main menu. I can drag and drop audio files (non-DRM) to all my menus, and it shows up in the inspector, but when I preview or burn a disc, the main menu has no audio. All of the sub-menus have the audio just fine, but not the main.
I'm currently using the 'Stretch' theme...
Again, all sub menus work just fine, but the same audio will not play on the main menu.
Does anyone have a solution?

I've stumbled onto the reason for this problem. It's because you unintentionally muted your audio for this menu. To resolve it do the following:
1. Open the menu where you are having audio problems
2. Click on the drop zone icon to open the drop zones
3. Move the music (the iTunes music notes) that you've placed here out of the menu box
4. By getting the music icon out of the way, you will reveal a tiny black sound/audio icon
5. If you strain your eyes and look real close you will see that there are no sound waves coming out of the sound icon
6. Click on the icon and tiny black sound waves will appear
7. You have now "unmuted" your menu
8. Drop your music selection back into the menu drop zone
9. You now have sound!

HT6312 I don't understand why you are holding our documents captive!

How can you NOT make it backwards compatible! I prefer not to install the latest IOS (as we've seen what happens, with the last IOS update) before I am comfortable with the update. This is irresponsible and not customer friendly. Basically I am S.O.L. if I have an older iPhone or iPad. Thanks for being so customer friendly.

Sorry I did not realize it was User to User. Very funny, really. Who would you like the check made out to? LOL
So I went to login to iCloud (on my PC) and I was forced to update to a different version of iCloud that would no longer allow any devices below IOS 8 access to the Pages area. I just don't understand why thy (Apple developers) cannot make it backwards compatible.
