Why did apple techs take away Front Row! It looks like I'm not the only person who liked it.
I found some instructions on how to get it back, but lost them and I think an apple tech would be the only one who could do it.
Playlists are part of the entire library file, not specific items you can isolate in a backup. You can replace the whole library file but it will cause your listings to revert to the date when the backup was created. Media files will not be lost but it may not appear in your iTunes list and the files will have to be added again.
Alternatively you can use an old version of the .xml file to extract specific playlists. This will require detailed hand editing of computer coded text files, if you're up for it.
Perhaps we should back up an you can explain exactly what it is you need. A "playlist" is just a listing of tracks. not the music itself. Is it the playlist that is missing (you deleted it accidentally) or is the music missing from your library listing? You are saying you are having difficulty finding them. Do you mean finding hte playlists in the iTunes window, or are you referring to the playlists on the backup which, as I said, don't really exist in that form?

I have been having the most difficult times with the use of iPhoto Booth for recording movie files of church services. You used the data. Verizon can not see what it was sued for. However your phone can see whats apps used the data. go to settings-data usage- there will be a place that says data usage cycle. line the dates up with your cycle. then there will be a bar graph below that extend bother white bars one all the way to the left and one all the way to the right. after those are extended below that will be a list of apps, there should be one that used over 2 gb and that will show you what app used that data in her purse

I would like to know, on the ringtone page, where you can select songs out of your music library, is there a way to remove a song from the list after its selected? I would thin there would be a way to "delete" the songs from the list. (Clock app)
Let me explain:
In the clock app for ios 6.0.2 I am a little confused. It allows you to go into your music library, and create a ringtone using any songs you choose. However, I cannot find a way to remove a song from this list, just like I cannot delete one of the preset ringtones (which I'm not trying to do, but just as an example)

Could you help me allow to resolve this : AOSKit ERROR ?Reset key chain DID NOT, work for me, and I renamed the backup it made back to the original. (Note to others: I may have had permissions or other issues due to the way I upgraded to Mountain Lion by creating a new user and moving things over manually.)
HERE IS HOW I FIXED IT: (I don't know what the ramifications are, so this will make you a backup too.)
I threw away my Library > Application Support > iCloud folder.
In the Finder, choose Go, hold down the option key (alt) and choose Library which will appear in the menu.
Navigate to Library > Application Support and option-drag the iCloud folder to your desktop (that will make a copy).
Now drag the iCloud folder that is in Library > Application Support to the trash, enter your administrators password when prompted.
Then try entering your info in the Preference Panel again. -
You can only log in using your primary BigPond Broadband account
Hi I recently moved from QLD to WA and moved my bundle with me, I had foxtel on tbox over there but the box got left in the move so I bought another one today. I have tried to register it but it comes up with the following message ' You can only log in using your primary BigPond Broadband account , If you can’t remember your primary account username and password, you will need to speak to a Customer Service Representative on 1800 331 402 So after calling the first time the lady registered the tbox and I thought that would be me on my way so I hung up and tried to get foxtel on tbox. Ended up getting the same message and now my tbox does not appear to be registered at all. So after another call which lasted around 30mins of me being on hold and a 3 way conversation where both telstra members were trying to fob responsibility off to each other and one being quite rude I was told I would be called back.. After another half an hour the guy called back and said that I could not get foxtel on tbox at my address. To me this seems like Im being fobbed off as he didnt know what the problem was, I am in a unit and I checked my address on the telstra website which stated 'great news, foxtel on tbox is available in your area' and after being told I couldnt get it, I put a note on the notice board of the aparment block to see if anyone else had foxtel and they do so clearly that is not the problem. Can anyone advise what to do or who to speak too to try and clear this up? Thank you
There are times like this I wish I could log in to customers accounts and fix it however not allowed ESQ check which is a serviceability check and checks what services are available at your address. So if it says Foxtel Tbox is eligible then its all good to go then this wouldn't be the problem mate. What needs to happen is that your email address and serial number might be still on the admin portal of the tbox registration. However you said Tbox support have removed this from the account in saying that this can take a little while to be completely removed from our records which would then allow you to register a new device. Try the registration a little later on or again tomorrow and see how you go. Please let us know how you get along. Cheers bud.

So you can't add apps from your pc to a touch?
I deleted tap tap 1 cause I have tap tap 2 on my touch, but my brother wanted to play the first 1 again. Its not on my ipod but in the apps section on itunes but it wont go back on to it. is this how its suppose to be? Tap Tap 1 is now $0.99 and I got it when it came out for free. should I just tell my brother he is out of luck?
Any helpLog into your itunes account on your computer and download it again for free. Once you buy an App it's yours. You can download it again as many times as you need to.
But make sure your logged into the account that you originally downloaded it with.

Because of a problem, I uninstalled Firefox once, reinstalled it and it ran. I had a problem so I uninstalled/reinstalled it again. Now it will not run. I get an error message saying that firefox is running and you can only run one at a time. I have uninstalled multiple times and can't figure out what is running. The is only one Firefox installed and it is not open. What does this mean and how do I fix it?

Where do you find the ringtone tab on your personal itunes so that you can sync new ringtones to your iphone? I am trying to get ringtones from my ringtone app onto my phone and the directions said to click Ringtones on the top of iTunes. I am having trouble finding the Ringtones on the top of iTunes.
Go to edit then preferences in itunes on your computer and then check the box TONES and then click OK. with your phone attached to your computer with USB cable select the name of your phone on the left and then in window on right select TONES from the menu items across the top of the window

I don't have the latest ipod touch and therefore can't download the app '12 days of christmas'. The app details say that you don't need to use a device and that you can "download the gifts from your computer". How do I do this, as I know its not possible to diretly use an app on a computer?

ICloud won't log in on my Macbook Air running Yosemite, says "You can't sign in at this time"
When trying to log in to iCloud, I get a "you can't log in at this time" message every time. I have no idea how to fix this issue. My password is correct since it works on my iPhone, and i have changed it too see if it would fix the problem. Any help would be appreciated since this effects me using Yosemite and my MacBook in general.
I ended up rebooting the Mac and resetting network preferences on the iPhone. Works now. It's a pity that was necessary after doing something so simple as changing my Apple ID password.
The continuity/handoff reliability situation is a little flakey at the moment (as is that with AirDrop).
Also, and the settings required to set these great technologies up are byzantine in complexity on both platforms - it's a shame, as this kind of convergent approach is Apple's chance to set itself apart, but as things stand, very few will manage to set them up. -
