If the camera is on here then when you plug it in just follow the on screen prompts to set up import of photos.

It means what it says - it's not compatible with modern Macs. You need to buy a current version.

I am trying to install print controller and printer -but get this error message when trying to use the installer:

I also have a macbook pro running the same version OS and it installed fine there - I can't find the difference; but, NEED to print from my IMac.

I am running Lion (OS X 10.7.4) and trying to reinstall iLife06, a .mpkg file, using Installer.app. I get a message "You can't open the application iLife06.mpkg because PowerPC apps are no longer supported." Is there a work around?? Thanks in advance for any help that can be provided.
The only workaround would be to purchase the current version of iLife apps from the App Store.
Lion doesn't support the old PowerPC architecture anymore, which is what iLife '06 was written for.
If the internal apps are universal, right-click on the mpkg and choose Show Contents. Then, dig through and run the specific installer package for each application. -
I found this message You can't open the application Longman Paper CD-ROM Installer because PowerPC applications are no longer supported when I was trying to play cd rom of longman preparation courses. I used the external LG dvd writer to play the CD.
That is correct.
OS X Lion will not support any Power PC application. -
When I insert the FinalCutStudio2-installation CD it says: "You can't open the application FinalCutStudio.mpkg because PowerPC applications are no longer supported. What do I do to install it?

I recently downloaded a program ScanFont 5, When I try to open the installer I get the following message: "You can't open the application "(null)" because it may be damaged or incomplete. Is there any way I can get the installer to open anyway?
The message means just what it says. Remove the damaged copy and try downloading it again.
Edit: Looking at FontLab's page, there's two issues going on.
1) It's a PowerPC app and will not run on any version of OS X newer than Snow Leopard, 10.6.x.
2) The "workaround" they offer is to purchase the Windows version and then run it in the the open source Wine, Windows emulator. -

I would expect there should be more file there??

I can not uninstall Flash (CS4) using "Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Premium". It looks like Flash is not installed.
If I try to install it using the disk, it looks like Flash is not installed at all. So I go thrue the installation process, and follow the instructions, until it’s complete.
But if I go in my App folder, and look in the Adobe Flash CS4 folder the Flash.app icon has a circle with a bar in it. This is when I get the message. -
I have a typing software that I bought a while ago. I had installed it on an old pc but I just bought a macbook and I'd like to install it onto the new macbook, as I no longer use the old pc. I tried accessing imovie after not using it for a long time and got an error message "You can't open the application iMovie because it is damaged or incomplete. I'm not sure how to go about addressing it. Your suggestions would be very much apprecaited.
Judging by your OSX, I presume that your iMac would have come with 2 installation discs.
iMovie and all the iLife software will be on disc 2.
Run the disc and re-install iMovie.
After that, do a software update.,

What is your iPhoto version and how did you install it originally?
If it came with a new mac and Lion or Mt. Lion installed, you can delete iPhoto from the Applications folder (don't empty the Trash) and download it again from the "Purchased" tab of the App Store.
If you have bought the iLife CD, reinstall iPhoto from the installation media, after deleting it from the Application folder.
Or if your Mac came with an older MacOS X, but iLIfe preinstalled, use the system Install CDs, see Terence Devlin's post here: Re: My iPhoto isn't working. Error message says "you can't open the app "iPhoto" because it may be damaged or incomplete.

P.S: This may not only be a problem of a broken iPhoto. What did you do, directly before this happened? Did you run a program, that will clean the Mac to save space, like "Clean My Mac" or "Mac Keeper"? These little helpers can be risky and overdo it and remove too much. Then it might be safer to reinstall your system, because other essential files might be missing now. -

Looking for some help with this.
I recently had a system corruption on the MAC machine here in my office.
The user was suppose to save his work to the servers which they didn't.
The users that was using the Mac ended up losing all there data as the hard drive failed.
As a precaution I decided when I was rebuilding the MAC to replace the dead 250MB hard drive with 2x1TB hard drives.
I would then create a RAID1 (Mirror) with the two hard drive so if a single drive fails the users can continue to work without interruptions or losing any work.
Mac installation went without an issues. Then the Adobe installation appears to go okay, however as I was double-checking the installs for the Flash and Indesign programs were grayed out wiht that no smoking sign symbol on them. When attempting to run the programs all I recieved was the following Error:
"You can't open the application "Adobe InDesign CS4" because it is not support on the architecture"
or
"You can't open the application "Flash" because it is not support on the architecture"
All other programs for the CS4 open and run without any issues. The CDs I have are for a multi-user license.
System spec are:

Does anyone have a solution?The usual reason for that error is that the application isn't installed. As for why they didn't install, that I can't tell you.

Yesterday, Software Updater has installed something which required me to "close iTunes in order to complete the installation" - I can only assume it was an iTunes (or related) update?

Over the past couple of days I have left my Macbook sitting idle for extended periods, put it to sleep, & also shut it down.
This morning I tried to reinstall the same download that didn't work a couple of days ago & it has been recognised, installed & seems to run just fine - playing right now I'm happy to say!
I suggest you try doing the same: ie. leave your machine sitting idle till it sleeps & shut it down, before you try the reinstall. -

to confirm check the file size against the expected file size.
then re-download perhaps with a different browser.
