The earlier version of Firefox did not run this plug-in container. Every time I would remove it from my processes it would kill videos etc. But, it was all fine in the older version of Firefox, so why the change? So I chose not to update Firefox. Then, the other day, I saw that is was automatically downloading and I turned off my computer because it wouldn't stop and I didn't give permission. When I got home I could not use Firefox and it took me hours to figure out how to get the internet back. Then I got Firefox back and this stupid process is running again. It takes up too much memory. I don't like a bunch of extra processes running like that. So, why can't I just use the old version? Is this process absolutely necessary?
In the past the memory usage would end up as part of the Firefox program. Now with OOPP you can see it as a separate process and that makes it more noticeable.
You can disable OOP if you want.<br />

Beachball hanging.. is it because I have too much memory
I've just recently upgraded my computer from 4 gig to 6 gig however they say 4 gig is only recommended but… it would take six gig. I've just noticed that the beach ball is hanging in iMovie, it's never done this before, I'm wondering if this is this because I have to much memory now or is it due to another aspect of the upgrade that came this week from Apple… answers would be appreciated thank you in advance
I did look at my hard drive before I posted the question however I have 200 of the 350 available on my hard drive, however it's still hangs slightly between transitions.... Any more suggestions please, and thank you for your reply that's so nice of you.
PS maybe I should turn my computer off now and restart the whole system.

how can i delete ios8 from my iPad? since i downloaded it my iPad is slow, pages sometimes get caught in endless loop, and is taking up all of my storage
If you haven't installed it yet, settings, general, usage, populate the whole list and you should be able to remove the installer. (last I read you could delete it, with iOS7 the installer was not able to be deleted)
If you've already installed it, Apple does not support downgrading. If you'd like to go into specific issues, maybe people here can suggest some fixes or work arounds. -
The last time I used CS5, I changed the scratch disc in the preferences file; now Photoshop will not open saying that the preferences file has been deleted. I didn't delete the file. How do I fix this?
As you open Photoshop, hold Control + Alt + Shift (or Command + Option + Shift on a Mac). That will trigger a preferences reset dialog, Photoshop will go back to default state when you do that.

However, when I opened my Mac, this morning at 0500, I still got the message that the backup was NOT performed, etc, etc. etc.
The backup is made on the standard Tiime Machine.
The next backup has already started as of 0518. Let's see what happens. This is strange. Here is the time sequence: 0518 Backup started
0525 Mac. froze and color wheel would not allow me to access anything on the Mac,

0532 Backup stopped. Message: Latest backup 4:22 Today.
It seems to be functioning properly at this point. I'm curious to see if I get the standard "The backkup was not performed because an error occured while copying files to the backup disk" message, later today.

I am having problems with Apple TV scrambling albums while playing from iTunes. The track listing remains correct but the songs play out of order and not all of the songs seem to in place, I.e. a song that played previously under one title will play as a different title. Any thoughts or help? Thanks.

Are you seeing your music listed in the iPod screen, or in Win explorer as in your earlier post?
I can see all the songs in my Edrive>al's Ipod> Ipod Control> Music folder.
A corrupted iPod database, will report zero music used, and have your music size reported as others, so you wont see the music in the iPod screen. Sorry, I thought there was some hope for you with iPodAccess, in recovery of the corrupted iPod database with your ratings.
You can try to borrow and use the Mac Disk Utility ->First Aid ->Repair.
Of course, if your iPod Hardisk is in a bad state, from the Disk Diagnostic report, then all my suggestion are futile. -

Open the iTunes app on your computer and sign into your account to see that everything is correct.

I just want to download Firefox 3.6 again
I downloaded Firefox 4 onto my PowerPC G4, 1.67GHz running Mac OSX 10.5.6. When I try to open it I get error message You cannot open the application “Firefox” because it is not supported on this architecture.Use Tony's suggestion. I am running it right now and it is awesome. I love Mozilla but they basically screwed all of those older Macs over. Come on Mozilla. These Macs still work, and there are plenty of people with them out there.

I have PowerBook G4, running 10.5.8. Went to upgrade and says OS too old. I went back to older version of foxfire. Now I have a circle with a line through it and when I try to open it I get,You cannot open the application “Firefox” because it is not supported on this architecture. Thanks for the help.

Cancel cannot save to the file because it is in use
Hi guys,
From a couple of days ago i cannot export ANY pdf file in InDesign withouth the "cannot save to the file because it is in use by one or more background tasks". It seems there is a "temporary files" are saving. So the trick is to delete the file from the Finder and save the PDF again. It is annoying that i cannot replace the pdf directly with the same name.
Can i override this situation?
Any help or ideas?

Updating ipod touch to os5.1 got an error message "cannot connect the ipod touch because the pairing record is missing" don't know what this means or how to fix but am stuck, only option is to answer ok and close the error box. Any ideas?

How to get logic to save a crashed version???
