First off, Apple needs to get this fixed asap!!! Some people out there arent BCIS majors (like myself) and will have having LOTS of trouble with all that registry stuff.
I was having that same problem with my iTunes 5 where I got the error stating that iTunes had encountered a problem and needed to close. After reading MANY of the posts on here I kind of played "pick and choose" as to fixing it. What can I say, Im lazy. Anyway, heres what I did and it WORKS:
Uninstall everything that is iTunes 5 and QT7. Then, download QT7 standalone (you can find the link in other posts....like I said.....lazy) and install it. There were some people who said that they got errors when installing QT7 standalone, but I didnt. Once that installs, redownload iTunesSetup (click YES to overwrite the exisiting file, if applicable) and then install iTunes as usual. If it asks you if you want to skip the installation of QT7 say OK/YES, if not thats ok.
Thats it. Thats all I had to do. Maybe Im just one of the lucky ones but THANK GOD it works now. Life without my iPod just isn't life at all.

Here are examples of items from the root level of your Mac OS X startup volume that you should not delete or move:
mach_kernel (an invisible file)
Applications (a visible folder)
automount (an invisible folder)
Library (a visible folder)
System (a visible folder)
Users (a visible folder)
Although these articles discuss deleting things while booted from OS 9, the information applies equally to when you are booted to OS X.
In general, leave OS X's folder structure alone. You can instal new applications in the /Applications folder, but otherwise you should normally stay inside your Home folder. It is a good idea to leave the standard folder structure in there alone, also, but obviously you are free to add new folders anywhere inside your Home folder.

I tried last week. The best I could get was a discount on the repair, but the damage to my logic board by the GPU caused it to no longer boot. The program ended in December last year, but it has been extended in the past.
If you have no other damage you might be able to get a flat rate tier 1 repair if you are in the USA. -

How do you delete 'SAVED MESSAGES' on iPhone 5s? It's taking up about 10GB of 32 GB capacity.
After much searching on the web and reading many (sometimes amusing) posts on this topic here is what I have found.
In Settings>General>Usage my saved mesages were using 3.2Gb and no apparently immediate way of deleting them.
However as the good book says "seek and ye shall find".
SO this is where I went:
Settings>iCloud>Account> then scroll down to ADVANCED and select Mail; again scroll down to the bottom and select Advanced and yet again scroll to the bottom (well at least to DELETED MESSAGES) and tap on the line called Remove.
Here at last you will find a setting that enables you to select the period after which iOS will remove your deleted messages.
The shortest period is one day so you will haev to wait 24 hours to finally have that memory back but it should work and is a nice feature in iOS although it is well burried!! -
I can't update anything because I don't have a card number I took my card off because you guys took money out of my account and now it's pending something won't tell me what it is but I would like to know what's going on and why money is being taken out of my account when I haven't bought anything in a month ..
We are fellow users here on these user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
Have you checked the purchase history on your account ? If you log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it. Click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases.

This is my Story...
About a week ago i was seddling into bed. I plugged my phone into my dock as usual, heard the vibrate telling that it was hooked up and charging properly. I went to bed, then woke up and went to grab my phone. I noticed it was only 94% the top right corner in the battery it didnt show the lightning bolt, which means its still charging. I never really thought anything of it at the time. by like 1:00 i looked at my phone, and it was already 50% I decided to plug my phone back into the charger. IT WOULDNT CONNECT!! i started to cry... what was i gunna do? that all my money spent on it! I tried my USB for my labtop, ive tried 2 different docks, and i also took it into Sasktel and they plugged it in to. After the day went by, my phone completly lost battery and... turned off!! thats when i started going into Sasktel etc. i was FREAKING out!!! (still am!)
All my phone will still do is when i press the power button it a picture of the red dead battery shows up, as well as a electricty cord sign, with an arrow to a lightning bolt. i know that means that it needs to be charged. Im so confused it still frashes and shows stuff on my phone.. so it cant be dead .. right? When i went to Sasktel, i got the worker to look at it. He shone a light in the bottom charging spot. he told me after like 5 minutes of looking in there that he can just barely see a super light pink olour on the "white" sticker. He told me it changes to red when it hits water, and moisture. but.... i nver got it wet. i just woke up with it like this. so, i sunno how that changed colour. im gunna call apple again tommorow and see what they say. i really hop someone can help me, i dont wanna loose all my pictures and contacts. i have some valueably stuff. 1,500 picture!!! :O sooo please! any idea is help, and i hope at least someone will try
So far, ive tried the trick where u hold the home and power button for 30 seconds. It showed the dead battery lightning bolt sign. And tried many different plugs. People say, that because its a little pink, its toast. i dont beleive that, cause, it worked alll day tell it finally died! no probablems at all. so i just need to get it backon again. ill tell you what apple says when i call. HELP

Hi, I have a problem with getting my apple Id working for me. It's been 2 months since it happened and Apple failed to act. I can tell my story proerly, but am not sure, you guys can help, so I just copy my message to them today, I am trying to get it across all the places around to pay their attention. I am sorry to say that, but your security makes my life miserable – it’s been 2 months since my Apple ID account got stuck, and since then I cannot update 37 applications (to date), i.e. most of my applications. Half of them I bought. I also paid for iCloud, and it is not working. I paid money and I am stuck with old applications and no iCloud. Your security *****. Your service ***** too. It took your service 1 month to finally understand why this happened to me, and it took me tens of emails to you and 3 hours of telephone conversation to find out the reason for my problem. And the problem is still not fixed. NOT FIXED. You just leave your customer – the one who paid you money and spent so much time with you trying to help you help me – and nothing. You tell me: “Vitas, Stick your stinky iphone in your *** and enjoy life, we do not care!” *************.
It is ******* outrageous, and you should know that, guys. Get into the ******* database and correct the bug. Get someone in the partners-telephone carriers company (it is Orange as carreer and Cellcom as seller of the phone) authorized to Identify me in personal encounter in one of the branches in Israel (where I live) and make sure it is really me, and get the ******* system accept my password and let me use my phone.
Otherwise **** off. None of my friends will get my advise to buy an iphone or any of apple products. And I think you should be very attentive to cases like this, guys. Do your work for the money we pay, or disappear. There are many others eager to take your place, and if the problem is not fixed I will eventually go to the others. Vitas DijokasWell, it seems waiting is not my strong suit..! I renamed a javascript file called recovery to sessionstore. This file was in the folder sessionstore-backups I had copied from mozilla 3 days ago, when my tabs were still in place. I replaced the sessionstore in mozilla's default folder with the renamed file and then started mozilla. And the tabs reappeared as they were 3 days ago!
So there goes the tab problem. But again when I started mozilla the window saying "a script has stopped responding" appeared, this time the script being: chrome//browser/contenttabbrowser.xml2542
If someone knows how to fix this and make firefox launch normally, please reply! Thank you -
Everytime I start Firefox 4 beta it crashes. I usually can visit one site on the web (doesn't matter what site) and then it locks up. The only thing that works on the browser then is the close button. After clicking the close button I'll try to restart the browser and I'll get an error message saying it can't open Firefox because it's already open. Which is a bunch of BS. The only I can get Firefox started again is to restart my computer. This is so frustrating that I've given up trying. Hopefully you guys know about this bug and can do something about it. I wasn't trying to post a question here I just wanted to make sure you guys heard about this problem.
yeah it is the gayest thing that happens :S what i do is turn off the internet, then open it, then turn on internet, then use it. :S OR make your homepage a tab.

No app on the iOS device is required.
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod/iPhone/iPad on the iOS device in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected or cellular data is on and connected for, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up or continue to show off-line.
- You can also wipe/erase the iOS device and have the device play a sound via iCloud.

- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the device and report to police and carrier if iPhone or cellular iPad

I have an iPod 4s and I am trying to update to IOS 6.1.6. I keep trying to download but it will not allow me to click download and install. I have checked my storage and I have more than enough storage space available. Do you guys have any suggestions?
The only available, signed, iOS, for your iPod, is iOS 7.1. That's why you can't install iOS 6.1.6.

I have a problem with my iphone 4. My 3G always stays activated but I lose my network signal. The bars all get lost and I'm not able to receive / send sms, mms or phone calls. Could you guys please help me fix this problem? Ios 5.1.1
I haven't gotten a new sim card because the problem has been presenting itself in various cards not only mine. So far, all I've done is reset my network settings.
Last night, I turned off the 3G tab and it had all the signal bars. Today, I did the network reset and it's working apparently. But like I said before, previously the bars just disappear and the iphone only has the 3G activated. -
My IPhone shut off by itself and I can't turn it back on. My lock screen button is broken and I tried plugging it into the wall but nothing happened. Can you guys please help me.
IIf the battery was completely drained it might take some time before the phone will respond. Wait at least 30 minutes with the phone connected to the charger. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. If the phone starts up let it continue to charge until it's 100%.
if the broken button will not let you do the reset Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support. -

Way, way back it was cool that you could wrap the smaller cord around those retractable clips. However, even that has grown annoying.
For those of us who use the longer attachment (for which there isn't even a wrapping solution) dealing with the cords is time consuming (and basically impossible to do in such a way that it can withstand any real traveling).
At least one of the reasons there is no retractable cord option is that other companies can't design one themselves without violating your intellectual property rights. That said, Apple should really be the ones to tackle this particular cord-annoyance (all the groundwork for the design has already been done for you guys--all you'd have to do is tweak it to fit the specifics of your magsafe cords, and *voila*, fantastically manageable, clean, well-designed, and highly portable power cord for us all.
Suddenly: champagne would fall from the heavens, doors would open, velvet ropes would part, world peace, end to hunger....you get the idea.
It seems like this is the only place to give suggestions for things such as this...am I missing something?Welcome Jessie!

That said, Apple shipped retractable cord chargers in the early PowerBook days. From talking to people who owned them, I get the impression that the constant in/out action caused many to fail prematurely. I suspect Apple abandoned them for a reason. -
We are currently in a published desktop environment in Citrix XenApp 6.5. Server is running on Windows 2008 R2. Users are not able to save PDF's into the redirected folders (ie Desktop or My Documents). Exactly same issue described in "The disk you were saving to or the disk used for temporary file is full...." Anyone has any suggestion??

NOTE: CHECK 'Recently Added' before you download your music.
If the select boxes has a check in them, turn it off by

It would be better to clear 'Resently Add' of all
previous downloads, but I don't know how to do that
yet.
3) under 'PLAYLIST' on the right, select 'Recently Add'.
all of your song should show there with a check in the selection
box.
4)Hold the shift key and select the frist (selete records name),
then the last recorded tune. All of the recordings shouls light
up blue.
5) While holding the 'shift' key, drag one of the records to your new
playlist. All of the blue highlighted song will transfer to the new
playlist.
