Check your local CraigsList. There are often many people claiming they will repair iPhones at lower prices than Apple will charge. But you get what you pay for; you're better off going to Apple and getting it repaired by them, even though you're out of AppleCare and will have to pay for it.
Did you jailbreak your iPhone? If that's what has disabled your accelerometer, you might be able to "repair" it yourself. Do a Google search on "iphone 4 accelerometer repair" for videos and instructions.

Did you delete all receipts with iDVD in the file name with either a .PKG or .BOM extension that reside in the HD/Library/Receipts folder and from the /var/db/receipts/ folder before installing the new copy? If not then do so and delete the new application also.

Settings >> Mail, Contacts. Calendars >> Organise by Thread. Switch to OFF to see every individual email in the Inbox.

Several days ago some of the links in my Apple Mail messages stopped working. Specifically, the links going to some variation of "response beacon" don't work. All I see is a blank screen. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Not exactly all websites but many seem to be defaulting to their Mobile versions when using my Macbook Air... this is not dependent on browser type (Safare, chrome and firefox have been tried)... this is a new problem and may have started after the Mavericks update (although I am not 100% sure about the timing).

I got my iPhone 5 64GB last Saturday and the battery is a pile of wank!!! Does anyone have any idea what I could do to sort it? I know about brightness and wifi, I do all that! Many thanks.
Your battery experience is unusual. While I don't use my phone a lot it is on 24/7. The mists I've seen my battery run down is to abut 45% after 10 hours offi the charger.
Here's how to reset (reboot) your phone. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart.
If that is what you did I suggest making an appointment at and Apple store for a consultation. -
I have tried making new iphoto libraries and new accounts and the problem still continues, everytime I try to import I get the colorwheel and then it quits and an error mesage pops up, if anyone has any ideas for how to fix it I would be grateful

My 2006 - 2008 Mac Pro running Lion will not play HDV 1080i60 footage in FCP 7. When I open the sequence settings, all HDV codecs are hdv1, hdv2, hdv3, and so forth. However, when I open the project on my other Mac Pro running Snow Leopard and FCP 6, the footage works fine as it does on my newer Imac running Mavericks and FCP 7. I have tried a Quicktime update on the Mac Pro that the footage doesn't work on but it says that I already have the newest version of Quicktime installed. I have also tried reinstalling the Final Cut Pro Studio twice, still no fix. I'm completely out of solutions and need to be able to edit HDV footage on this machine. Any help would be great. Thanks.
there was a recent software update that seemed to screw HDV up. Do some searching here over the last month or 2 and you'll find a bunch of posts and some possible solutions.
Worst case scenario, do as Shane suggests. But might I suggest you take a look at the user tips section of the forum. there are some great tips on how to prevent these sorts of problems by cloning your startup drive, etc. -
My iphone 3gs says I need to restore my phone with itunes. when i connect the phone it says i need to unlock the phone which i cannont due because of the caution on the phone. How do i fix this?
Hold down the power button and home button at the same time until the phone powers on, shuts back off, powers on again and continue to hold it until it shows the itunes logo to plug in to itunes. This should allow you to restore without unlocking it.

Anyone have any ideas how to fix my mac book pro to canon pimxa mp640 printer link? The two are connected manually yet the ! remains on the 'print' page next to the printer name. it was working fine until i changed the ink cartridges. Without the wireless password - which I've never had and don't supposedly need as it's not a wireless connection, I am being prevented from resuming printing.
If it's on a windows network you have to enter your (windows) log in (name/password) credentials.
This should be a 1 time event. It will remember it thereafter. -
