How do you set up the stock and weather ticker on notifications?

The next question will be what weather and stock apps will display data in Notifications similar to an iPhone. Sure there are lots of apps available but nothing I found will duplicate the features found on the iPhone.

  • What do you think will the unlocked iphone 5 cost?

what do you think will the unlocked iphone 5 cost?

In the US probably the same as the iPhone 4s, but you will have to wait to be sure.

  • What do you think of the new iPhone 5 connector to existing docks?

I have 100's of dollars of sound docks, alarm clocks, charging stations, etc. designed to accept the 30-pin connector. The adaptor offered by Apple for the new iPhone 5 8-pin connector does not appear to provide a satisfactory connection in terms of security, stability and appearance and would not allow the proper use of the phone while docked. Please urge Apple to provide a more suitable solution to this problem. I, for one, can not justify throwing out all my existing hardware and purchasing new hardware...I can't afford it.

I know it's annoying, but the plug was inevitably going to have to be updated at some point; the 30-pin plug is really dated technology now, with many redundant features, not to mention an enormous waste of phone real estate.
Also Apple is still far and away miles better at this than many other manufacturers, and you get the greatest choice of appliances too.
Some of their 'simplification'-oriented narrow-minded/minimum features necessary policies do irritate me though, such as deleting posts on here as you say, or the one that really gets me: only allowing one backup per device in iTunes, so as soon as you sync your phone, you're snookered. Getting round these limitations is always so cumbersome.
In your situation, I would personally have stuck with the iPhone 4S. Considering the software upgrade, the difference is not huge. Heck, even my iPhone 3GS has IOS6 now... Really surprised me when that came up in iTunes; I thought the rusty ancient thing had struggled enough and pushed to its limits with IOS5!

  • Can you down load the new IPHONE 4.3 with our usinf Itunes

The same way you download every update for iOS.
Connect the iPhone to the computer.
    Open iTunes.
Select the device from the left pane.
    Select "Check for updates".
    Follow on-screen instructions.

  • Just a note to let you know about the Refurbished iPhones....

    Good morning.
I'm sure a number of you will not agree but.....
I purchase all my Apple products refurbished and have never had a single days' problem with anything from a laptop to a Tower and now, the same with my iPhone. As soon as it went on Refurbished sale site I purchase an 8 gig and last weekend a 4 gig for my son. It's amazing.
This is just an fyi, I'm sure some had problems with refurbished products but I've been very lucky thus far.
    Tom

But... just like computers that are refurbished, the iPhone is certified as operating as "NEW".
In the computer business this certification is important since the Government won't accept used equipment but will accept equipment certified as NEW with a totally refresed Warranty.
If the iPhone is certified to work as NEW and Warranted as NEW, the consumer should not be concerned about it's performance as long as the problem that the iPhone had is resolved.

  • Is it normal that, when you recieve an imessage, you can open the iphone without security code ?

Is it normal that, when you recieve an imessage, you can open the whole iphone without security code ? Just a small slide with the finger and you are in...

As mentioned, if you have your passcode set to "immediately" lock, then no, you should be required to enter it.  Otherwise, if the message arrives before the passcode lock initiates, then yes, it will just open up with a swipe.

  • Can you load apps that you bought onto a new Iphone with out hooking the phone up to a computer/itunes

Help!!! I lost my Iphone and thinking of going and getting a new one but at the time Itunes is not working on my computer So I can not hook the new phone up to the computer. What I am wanting to know is if their is a way for me to get the apps I bought on the old phone onto the new one with out a computer?  PLEASE HELP!!!!

It will ask you if you want to set it up as a new iPhone or backup from an old iPhone. If you backup from the old iPhone you **might** loose the apps/data that you have downloaded from the point on that you got the new iPhone. You can always redownload the apps from the store.

  • How do I get the old iphones information to my new iphone? i have tried to synk it but it doesn't work

my other iphone didn't work, so i got a new one. before i got the new phone i saved all the information, and when you then put the new iphone into itunes it should be asking you "do you want to update this to eg. "david's iphone"?" but it didn't ask that. so now all the information are gone and the iphone is empty... what should i do now?

Everything should be on your computer.  Just sync it to the iphone as you did with the other.

  • How good is the Stock Cooler

    Hi ppl.
As u prob know I am building a PC for my friend. It will be a AMD 64 3200
My question is if I bought the retails then how good is the cooler? Also will it come with a Thermal Pad
If I bought the retail could I scrap off the Pad and used Thermal Paste Supplied with my Zalman 7000Al/Cu as this isnt silver based. Would this boid the warrenty.
Or I would buy the OEM version and get a Thermaltake Silent Boost along with Artic Silver 3.
Wot would u guys do because u get a warrenty with the one and not with the other. I think the Silent Boost would be a much better option for cooling.
My friend will be doin now otherclocking but wants a stable cool running system without being very loud (so no TORNADOS lol)
    Cheers
    SAspaz

what does cool n quiet do exactly?
i enabled it in my BIOS and i dont notice any difference,
    i have a SLK948U with a Panaflo L 80mm
You need to have your fan plugged into the motherboard CPU fan header for it to reduce fan speed, I guess you don't with that fan as it draws too much current.
Oh and even if you are going to Overclock you will find the stock cooler is actually fine for mild overclocks of a couple of hundred mhz, I tried it with my Clawhammer and got it to 2200 mhz with 41 deg idle and 48 deg under load, temps that are fine in my opinion.

  • How to check the stock transfer material report

    hi
i want to check stock transfer report for material from one plant to other palnt

    Hi
To display the value of the cross-company-code stock in transit with a report, choose Environment > Stock > Stock in transit Cc.
Displaying Transit Stock in the Stock Overview
You can display the stock in transit in the stock overview of a material.
From the Inventory Management menu, choose Environment > Stock > Stock overview.
Enter your selection criteria (for example, the material and receiving plant).
Carry out the evaluation. A stock overview of your selected plants is displayed.
Select a plant. The stocks in the plant are displayed in a pop-up window.
Scroll down until the stock in transit is displayed.
Displaying Transit Stock in the Plant Stock Availability List
The transit stock for the receiving plant is also displayed in the plant stock availability list for a material. To do this, proceed as follows:
From the Inventory Management menu, choose Environment > Stock> Plant stock availability.
The initial screen for this function appears.
Enter the material and the receiving plant.
Enter the scope of list (for example, DD).
Carry out the evaluation. A list of the plant stock availability for the material is displayed.

  • Can i get the new iPhone?

I have the original iPhone and the black part (antenna cover) broke off and it just generally seems to not be working well. Quite frankly i am sick of having to reset it. If i got the phone in September and agreed to a 2 year deal, can i terminate that deal and get the new iPhone? thanks.

Yes, Monkey you can. The original iPhone was not subsidized, and it is well-advertised on the AT&T and Apple websites that original iPhone owners can upgrade to the 3G for the subsidized price of 199/299. Naturally, you'll have to pay the higher data feeds and resign a new 2 year contract.
    Hope this helps.

  • Gaming on the stock 7300GT

So what’s it like gaming on the stock 7300GT under BootCamp? Do HL2 and BF2 look ok?
I can’t afford a 1900XT right now but I’m still seriously considering buying a Mac Pro. I haven’t played HL2 since I was a Windows user a year and a half ago. I switched to Mac to use Final Cut Pro (and because I was getting tired of maintaining my PC).
I’d like to play Counter Strike Source and Battlefield -- I don’t demand perfect performance. I have always gamed on mid-level PC’s, so I can accept a little video card lag here and there, as long as it’s not so slow that it makes me play the game badly. You know, never get headshots, bump into walls, friendly fire…
Would you say that the stock card is good for gaming, or is the ATI card the only one any gamer should consider?
    1.8 Dual   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

The 7300GT is a pretty capable card even compared to the 7300 versions on the PC. For older games, it runs pretty well (counter-strike, hl2) at medium resolutions (1280x1024 being the max). But, if you go higher, or try to start getting performance out of the card for newer games it just dies. The 1900 is so much faster it isn't even funny. If you plan to play any newer games (GTR2, Oblivion, FEAR, Battlefield (doesn't it have pretty steep requirements?) get the 1900.
I decided to go old school and check out Doom 3 again. On an older PC with a 6800GT and dual core Athlon I was getting 30 or so fps at 1280 res with medium settings. This is about the max I got with the 7300 in the new mac (using boot camp). Dropped in a 1900 and cranked up the settings to Ultra (which at the time of release Carmack said it would take many years for a card to handle the requirements of Ultra and a min of 512MB of video was essential --- I had never seen it run in Ultra mode), anyway dropped in the 1900, ultra setting with everything maxed, widescreen 16:10 1900x1200 resolution and getting 60FPS solid. This game caps the fps without hacking it, so I'm sure it's higher, but the point is it's non-stopped maxed. Counterstrike on the 1900XT, I was getting 100+ FPS at 2560x1600 res with everything maxed!
Hopefully this chart will link. If it doesn't go to Tom's Hardware, click on graphics and displays | vga charts | April 10 Interactive VGA charts. Select ATI x1900 XT R580 from dropdown 1, Nvidia 7300 GT TC G73 from dropdown 2, pick a game and resolution and see the performance comparison between all the cards. Your 2 selected cards show up in blue. For Oblivion at 1280 the ATI does 93FPS, the Nvidia does 23FPS. For Prey at 1600 it's 50FPS for the ATI, 11FPS for the stock Nvidia. Booyah!
    http://www23.tomshardware.com/graphics.html?modelx=33&model1=548&model2=532&char t=210
The real question is, "Should I get the 1900 and if I spend the extra money will I see a difference?"
If you plan on playing games. Oh, heck yeah. Splurge. You won't regret it.

  • Anyone jump from the Original iPhone to an iPhone 4?

Would love to hear your thoughts.

I upgraded from original iPhone on July 3rd. I loved the phone, but was worried over all the "antenna" issues so returned it within 30 days. I wanted to wait until end of September to be sure they did not come out with any minor change to the antenna which could affect future resale. I have been an Apple user since the original Mac back in the 1980's. First time I had to return a product -- but it is only temporary.
It was painful moving back to the original iPhone -- here are the main things I liked about the iPhone4 vs original:
3G speed: I ran Speedtest on my original before upgrading and then with the new iPhone 4 from the exact same spot in my house. Original averaged 50 - 100kbs download. iPhone 4 averaged 1200-1500kbs. Web pages loaded much faster.
Maps/Compass: The true GPS is great to know exactly where you are. The original iPhone "fake GPS" maps was not very accurate. There are many free apps that use the GPS. There was a Geo-caching app to track down things people had placed -- fun to do. There are apps you can use to track your route and how far you have gone (great for hiking, bike riding).
Rear Camera: Rear camera is a huge improvement over original. Having a flash really helps. With the new HDR feature in iOS 4.1 coming out, the photos will look even better.
Video -- the video from the rear camera was also good. Not going to replace my dedicated video camera, but produces good quality video when I need it.
Front Camera: didn't get a chance to use FaceTime. This will be better once there are more users. Hopefully Apple will integrate it with all the MacBooks so I can FaceTime to home / family computers.
Retina Display: was clearer, but there seemed to be more hype on this than the actual difference (at least for my eyes).
Multi-Tasking: I definitely miss this already. Very easy to move between apps. Much quicker to navigate.
Folders: I also miss this. Again, much easier to organize apps and get to them quicker.
Tethering: I was lucky enough to get the HandyLight app for the few hours it was up on iTunes. It worked well for tethering my MacBook Pro to the iPhone. I will stay with the unlimited data plan and use this app for the infrequent tethering I may need to do.
Overall speed of launching apps, moving between screens was faster, and typing was faster on iPhone 4. I never noticed the delay on my original iPhone as much until I switched back to it. Especially the lag when typing -- I sometimes type 2-3 letters and then have to wait a second or 2 for it to show up.
    iPhone 4 Cons:
I did find a few times where data would stop working on the 3G network -- never had that problem when on Edge network in same location. Was most likely an issue with AT&T network being overwhelmed vs a phone issue.
Antenna: I always use a case -- afraid to drop it and crack the screen. If I took off the case and held my finger/hand over the antenna gap then I would get a significant drop in signal. At my home, I ran the speedtest covering the antenna -- the download speeds would drop to almost 0kbs. Put the case back on and my data downloads were fine. I also tried leaving the case off and covering the gap with carefully cut Scotch tape -- this also worked fine in solving the problem.
I decided to try this with my original iPhone -- took off the case and covered the lower plastic section. Results were similar -- data dropped to almost nothing.
Final note - Data usage. I was averaging 200 - 250mb per month on my original iPhone. In the first week I had used about 1GB on the iPhone 4. I was using it a lot more, using GPS/Maps more, running Speedtest frequently, etc. Since webpages load faster, I was doing more internet browsing. I would recommend staying with the unlimited data plan when you upgrade.
Hope this helps. iPhone 4 is great and I can't wait to re-purchase it in a month. Either they will have made a minor adjustment (insulated antenna, clear coat finish over antenna) or I will re-purchase it as is. I felt it was worth a couple month wait to protect my phone investment.

  • Tracking  the stocks with respect  to UD CODE

    HI
we  are posting  qty  in  only storge location with respect  ud.we have different ud codes  , i want to track stocks with respect to ud.
    regards
    Baswaraj

    Hi,
Could you explain the situation where you need to get the stock report based on UD code?
To my knowledge if the material is not batch managed, you cannot divide the stock received from two different orders based on UD codes.
If the material is batch managed, you can get batch stocks along with UD codes (of the latest inspection lot pertaining to the batch) in to a customized report.
    Revert for any clarifications
