This is an old thread, if you have a problem start your own thread and include as much info as possible. If you are still there ccsebball you certainly will have needed to up update FlashPlayer again. Including email addreses is not wise, the support forum tries to answer questions within the forum, and posting email addresses is only likely to attract spam.
What version of Flash Player is installed now ? <br/>check out this webpage it will test flashplayer for you:

http://www.youtube.comYou have 2 versions of "Shockwave Flash" (Adobe Flash Player) installed; one very old version (7.0 r19) and the current version (10.0 r45). You can see both "Shockwave Flash" plugins by going to Tools > Add-ons > Plugins. You can disable the old version 7 there.

<u>'''Remove the old plugin'''</u>
1. If the old version 7 is showing as "Adobe Flash Player 7 Plugin" in your Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs, you can remove it from there; click on it, click Remove. See: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Uninstall-or-change-a-program
2. If the old version 7 is not shown in Add or Remove programs, see: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+plugins#Manually_uninstalling_a_plugin . You need to upgrade your Adobe Flash Player to watch this video.
HI, I downloaded the new flash player and I still get the above message when watching youtube. It popped up after watching one video then clicking another.
PLease help
ShaneI have the exact same problem and I am going in circles trying to install and use Flash Player. But nothing seems to work. Now I cannot watch ANY videos on Youtube, I cannot use Google Maps (Street View), Pandora Radio is kaput, and so.
I used to get the same notice:
You need to upgrade your Adobe Flash Player to watch this video.
But now I don't even get that. Just a black box and nothing else. This is ridiculous.

How to Improve Adobe Flash Player to watch this video
When I wanted to watch Man City vs Chelsea live stream via http://footballity.blogspot.com/2013/08/man-city-live-stream-free.html , there is a message "You need to improve your Adobe Flash Player to watch this video" so anybody can help me..
Well going by your standards then the blackberry playbook is just as useless since there is no native contacts app or email app. If you want that you will also have to have a blackberry phone that is capable of tethering using the blackberry bridge app (if allowed by AT&T and Verizon since that would be another fee technically you might be charged for since you will be tethering your phone to you tablet).
Funny how I and many others are able to get by using the iPad and we don't have flash. The majority of people if the want to view flash will try Skyfire, iSwifter, Cloudbrowse, or will look to see if there is an app already dedicated to that thing you want to watch, like ABC Player or CNN.
Hey if doesn't work for you then it doesn't work for you. I am not trying to come off as an Apple fanboy, just trying to make sure you are informed about your product and what options are out there.
Would it be nice if flash was allowed native......sure. But it isn't so you can either get rid of the product, get an app that supports it (we are talking about spending $2 - $4) or go buy something else and hope your happy with it as well. You can't please everyone. Apple has chosen their stance and as you can see by sales numbers they aren't hurting. Infact i just read about a week or so ago on Gizmodo.com that alot of the other tablet making companies are cutting back on the number of units they will be making due to low sales or projected low sales (you can thank the iPad sales for that). Your one purchase isn't going to impact them that much. Instead, someone else will be standing in line behind you ready and happy to get their apple product. -
Have uninstalled the Flash Player and reinstalled, it will play some videos but others and when I bring up the YouTube home page it still gives me this error. Help !!!

Can't Play Video "need to upgrade your Adobe Flash Player"
Ever since upgrading to FF 26 I can't play video on YouTube or many other sites.
It says "You need to upgrade your Adobe Flash Player to watch this video.
Download it from Adobe."
So I click on the link which takes me to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/, do the install which goes without trouble.
But afterwards I get the same message when I try to play videos.
Running Windows 7 on a Desktop PC. Having NO problems playing videos in IE or Chrome. FF used to be great but it's becoming more trouble than it's worth.
Thanks in advance.Hello,
You can try uninstalling it completely via the control panel and then installing it back on to the computer. You can also do a plugin check if you'd like.
Please check if all your plugins are up-to-date. To do this, go to the [http://mozilla.com/plugincheck Mozilla Plugin Check site].
Once you're there, the site will check if all your plugins have the latest versions.
If you see plugins in the list that have a yellow ''Update'' button or a red ''Update now'' button, please update these immediately.
To do so, please click each red or yellow button. Then you should see a site that allows you to download the latest version. Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation and follow the steps mentioned in the installation procedure. -
I have a G5 mac using ver 10.4.11 and a newer mac using ver 10.8.4 these are networked. using the new mac i looked up my my photo on the old mac. It then said you need to upgrade your library which it did. Now the old mac can not open the photos and say that I need to upgrade my I photo to a newer version. The old mac has no more support from apple in software update so I am not sure where I should go from here. can I use new soft ware with the old mac
The other part of the upgrade message was a warning that once you upgraded you would no longer be able to open the library with the old version which is exaclty what you did and what happened when you choose to continue
The iphoto library needs to be upgraded to work with this version of iPhoto. Your photo library will not be readable by previous versions of iphoto after the upgrade. The upgrade process may take several minutes depending on the number of photos in the library. Cancel or upgrade.
So now your choices are to not use iPhoto with the previous version using it onky with the newer version, restore your backup from before you did this upgrade or purchase iPhoto Library Manager and use it to rebuild the library using the older version of iPhoto (instructions are on their web site) thereby downgrading it (without projects)

You see this message either because your Flash Player is outdated or because you disabled JavaScript in your browser
But I have the latest version of Flash, and I do not have JavaScript disabled!! What can I do?Hi, thanks, that helps and tells me that Flash Player is working. Now this time, go back to the test site and on the Flash animated logo, RIGHT click on it and then click on Settings. On Display Settings, UN check the hardware acceleration.
Then see if that helps. It is also recommended to update the graphic and video drivers to the latest versions.
Hopefully, just turning off the hardware acceleration will help.
Thanks,

Why do I have to download Adobe Flash Player to watch certain videos?
I have a new Mac Pro and when I want to watch some videos on YouTube or videos for my online class, I get the "missing plug-in" message and am directed to download Adobe Flash Player. This is frustrating because I DESPISE just about anything Adobe! It's one of the main reasons I switched from PC to a Mac. Do I have to download Adobe Flash Player? Do I have another option? Should I stop whining about it and just do it even though it is a piece of crap?

You have download Chrome then.
Probably.
I use Chrome for all my YouTube and other flash video related activities, but I am also an avid YouTube troll. -
Adobe flash player to watch websites videos
Adobe flash to view videos websites
There is no compatible flash player or plugin for iOS devices, but there are some 3rd party browsers that provide for this by converting the flash video at their server to be viewed on the iPad. The 3rd party browsers that provide for this have mixed results and reviews. Check the app store.

Your system status: "You need to upgrade your flash player"
I already upgraded it and nothing happened, what can I do?
I have the same problem. Is there an answer?

The Flash 10 does not launch, Firefox 7 does not recognize this add-on at all. I d/l from Adobe, Flash page:"Installation successful". But Error message still reads "You need to upgrade your Adobe Flash Player to watch this video." I've even temporarily turned off my antivirus before D/L
There are two different versions of Flash, the '''''ActiveX''''' version for IE and the '''Plugin''' version used by most other browsers.
1.Download the Flash Plugin version setup file from here: <br />
[http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe Adobe Flash - Plugin version]. <br />
Save it to your Desktop.<br />
2. Close Firefox using File > Exit <br />
then check the Task Manager > Processes tab to make sure '''firefox.exe''' is closed, <br />
{XP: Ctrl+Alt+Del, Vista: Shift+Ctrl+ESC = Processes tab}
3. Then run the Flash setup file from your Desktop.
4. Start Firefox and test your installation here: https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
* On Vista and Windows 7 you may need to run the plugin installer as Administrator by starting the installer via the right-click context menu if you do not get an UAC prompt to ask for permission to continue (i.e nothing seems to happen). <br />
