You Tube App Missing on iPad 2 After Upgrade to iOS 5

I have an iPad 2 that I purchased from a US Apple store in May 2011. After upgrading to iOS 5 the You Tube app is missing. How can I reinstall it?

That is one of the standard apps that is not deletable. So it is probably there somewhere.
Check setting, general, restrictions, and make sure you didnt turn that on by accident.
Then goto the searchlight screen, and type in you tube, and if the app is on the pad, it will find it.
If restrictions are not on, and if searchlight does not find the app, do a full reboot,
If still no joy, do a restore from backup.
But check restrictions first.

When you reset to factory settings, did you restore as new or did you restore from a backup? If you restored from a backup, you could try restoring as new and don't use the backup. If you do that, you will lose all of your data, but you can download or sync all of your content back to the iPad.
You could also try resetting all settings before your restore as new. Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings. You will have to re enter all device settings again.
And of course the possibility does exist that the iPad has developed a hardware problem that is causing the rotation issue and only a visit to an Apple Store could determine that for sure.

I had this too when I updated to iOS 6 today. Solved it by doing a restore to factory conditions followed by a restore to my last backup. Now its idling around 45% CPU and is back to its snappy performance.

Airplay missing from Camera Roll after upgrade to ios 4.3

Hi,
I upgraded 2 phones today. One now has an airplay button on the top right corner of each photo in the camera roll. The other one doesn't have it. Did something go wrong? Do I have to turn something on?

For some reason the apple tv remote app does talk to the ape tv2, but I do nor see the

Wifi is soo slow in ipad mini after upgrading to iOS 6

my wifi connection is so slow, takes forever after upgrading. i also seem to loose connection from time to time. is there any way for me to go back to the older version. how can i fix this problem? it is so frustrating...
i have tried everything from turning wifi on and off and "forgetting network" as well as rebooting. also did a reset, but it's the same thing. nothing's changed. i think i had a faster connection before i upgraded to the latest version.hope someone could help me out

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Adding Custom Labels Missing for Contact Numbers After Upgrading to iOS 8.0 and issue still exists on iOS 8.1

I noticed that after upgrading to iOS 8.0 on my iPhone 5s, adding custom labels for contact numbers got removed. It still exists on iOS 8.1 as well. Is there someone who is facing a similar issue or can someone help me how to get that back. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have good news. You can still choose a custom label in Contacts on iOS 8. The option should be below "Other" in the list of labels when editing a contact. This information is found in the iOS 8 user guide:
Contacts at a glance - iPhone
Change a label. If a field has the wrong label, such as Home instead of Work, tap Edit. Then tap the label and choose one from the list, or tap Add Custom Label to create one of your own.

Wifi problems on iPad 2 after upgrading to iOS 5.1.1

I upgraded my iPad to iOS 5.1.1 last night. Ever since then, it keeps losing the wifi connection. My laptop, ipod and iphone are not losing any connectivity with the wifi, nor has this been a problem with the iPad prior to upgrading the iOS.
Has anyone else had this problem

You should be able to authorise the account on that computer via the store drop-down menu at the top of it e.g. on a Mac (a PC should be similar) :
If you are on iTunes 11 on a PC then pressing Alt-S should open the Store drop-down menu.
But if you've managed to add it back into the Apps section of your iTunes library then isn't that account already authorised ?

Cannot play videos in my iPad Air after upgrading to iOS 8.0.2

After upgrading my iPad Air to iOS 8.0.2 I can no longer play videos in any application, not even in Apple's stock apps.
Is anybody else experimenting this issue?

(A) Try reset iPad
Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home button down together until you see the Apple Logo.
Note: Data will not be affected.
(B) Close all apps in the multi-task window
1.Double-click the Home button.
2. Swipe the app's preview up to close it.
3. Preview will fly off the screen.

Camera app won't take VIDEO after upgrading to iOS 8.

I take videos every day in my work. Since upgrading to iOS 8, I can take PICTURES, but when I take a video, it -disappears-. I can't find it on the iPhone (5) and it doesn't show up in that tiny box in the corner of the screen like it did under iOS 7. I've looked under Photos and under Videos.

Yes, you'll find that when you have the video problem, you also cannot get Siri to listen to you, and you cannot use the Voice Memos.app. I use voice memos a lot whilst driving between clients. Indeed, any app that uses the microphone will fail.
So I had an old iPhone 4 that I pressed into use (OFF NETWORK) and JUST TO ADJUST THE STARKEYS, and am not using my iPhone 5 paired to the Starkeys at all. BTW, this is true also for the Resound Linx.
50/50 chance that fixing the Bluetooth issue will also fix this one. Wait and see.
Meantime, I have a 6+ on order, and plan to not fire that up on cellular until the problems are resolved, but to use it for photography in the interim.

Apple has not been forthcoming on the explanation. My Siri worked on my iphone4 (not 4s) immediately after upgrading to IOS5, but I take it they have redirected the servers that used to support Siri to only work with Iphone4s.
It is one thing for apple to only bundle the improved Siri with IPhone 4S, or for them to remove Siri from the Ap store.
But it is another thing all together for apple to purchase a company, and then cease the service that many of us paid for.
Attempts to contact apple at apple store and via email have been unhelpful.

YouTube app missing in iPad 1 - iOS5 upgrade

Hi, I am getting a strange issue which I think is really weird. I found the YouTube app usually shipped with iOS is missing after iOS5 upgrade in my iPad 1. Is there anyway I can get the application back? Can I restore from iPad backups taken earlier?
If nothing is possible, Is there any app which I can use any other alternative app for this purpose?

YouTube will no longer come standard on the iPhone and iPad, and the Internet is jumping to conclusions as usual.
The next version of Apple's mobile OS -- iOS 6 -- will be missing the familiar YouTube app from its home screen. Instead, users will have to download a new YouTube app from the App Store. Apple claims it's simply because its five-year deal with Google has expired, while Google isn't even talking about the circumstances of YouTube's departure from Apple's devices.
Apple and Google don't exactly like each other, and Apple has been systematically purging Google's influence from its flagship OS. Earlier this year, Apple announced that iOS 6 willremove Google Maps in favor of Apple Maps.
That's why everyone seems to be concluding that YouTube's disappearance from iOS is all Apple's fault. It fits the pattern, after all.

Notes App keeps crashing on my iPad 2 after upgrading to iOS 7

I upgraded my iPad 2 to iOS7 and after two days in which everything was fine, today Notes app stated to crash. It opens for just a couple of seconds in which the notes list on the right appears all highlighted in dark gray and then it crashes.

I followed beppolina suggestion and it fixed the issue, no note was lost. Although from time to time a note seems to vanish from my iPad and iPhone app list. When it happens I immediately go on my Mac Book, I switch off wifi and open the Note App there. Sin my Mac doesn't update on iCloud as often as my iPad or iPhone, the vanished note it's still there. I then proceed on making a small change to the note, like adding one random character, which brings the note on top of the list and makes it appear back on my iPad and iPhone again.

Issues With iPad mini after upgrading to iOS 8.1.2......

WWish I'd checked the forums first, but I upgraded to 8.1.2. A few days ago and have had nothing but issues.
FIrst -- it takes twice to three times as long to boot up my device.
           After the apple logo disappears, the screen is just black for the longest time
           Then eventually I hear a faint "DING" and the screen eventually gets lighter but this takes about 5-6 minutes
           Haven't had time to check the new manual.... Is this normal?
second -- Lots of freeze ups doing any variety of functions
third -- When tapping to diwnload a WORD attachment in an e-mail.... the circle graph loads properly but the document never opens when tapped.
           I'm not sure which is the most frustrating, plus there's no way to TURN OFF that dorm Emoji Keyboard which just gets in my way far too often!!
any body have any work around for any of these???

How do you know some stop halfway and others barely start? What are you seeing? While it is possible an app is not compatible with iOS 8.1.2, but I doubt it. If it was working with iOS 8, then it will work with 8.1.2. Try signing out of the App Store and sign back in again.
