  • After I connect an ipod thro a usb cable, firefox will not load, but other browsers work fine.?

    Firefox works fine and is my preferred browser, but after I connect an ipod to my computer it will not load. Even after the ipod has been removed firefox will still not load until the pc is restarted.

    Open the Windows Task Manager > Processes Tab and see if there is a '''firefox.exe''' process running, when you can't open Firefox and you find it necessary ti restart your PC. When you try to open Firefox and a firefox.exe process is "hung", you should get a warning message that ''' "Firefox is already running" '''.

  • Suddenly you tube will not load

    All of a sudden (about 4 or 5 days ago) You tube stopped working on my ipad.  I've never had this issue before.  It's not that I can't sign in, or that the videos load slowly, ...the page won't even open at all !  It won't open through the You Tube app, nor through safari.  I get redirected to: m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=2F&gl=US#/home  and the screen just remains blank.   Any help would be appreciated.

    Yep, been having problems too.
    My ipod touch 4g ios5 displays a blank page when I browse to m.youtube.com.
    Doing the same on a ipod touch 2g and iphone 3gs does not have a problem, and the page loads as normal.
    I have cleared the safari cache and data via settings, and powered off the machine. None of this has fixed it.
    I shouldn't have to restore the whole thing from a backup - the bug should be fixed!!!
    It's not that I can even rely on the default youtube app - that's extremely slow and unusable. Not so on the 2 older machines.
    Come on Apple - what's going on?

  • .flv in .swf will not play in Firefox but works fine with IE.

    My .swf file plays fine in IE but will not play the .flv portion in Firefox.

    You forgot the /images path in the embed (you swapped name and src)
    src="mainflash1.swf" -> src="/images/mainflash1.swf"
    name="/images/mainflash1" -> name="mainflash1"

  • Imgur pictures do not load in firefox, but work fine in IE.

    Embedded images in forums hosted in imgur (e.g. [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/oBNUb.jpg[/IMG] )won't load when using firefox.
    This does not happen when using IE.
    Also, the images load properly when I paste the image's url in the adress bar (e.g. http://i.imgur.com/z1oHH.jpg ).
    When clicking on a link to a imgur page (e.g. http://imgur.com/uIPsM ) the whole page will load, except for the image.
    I have disabled all firewalls and antivirus software, it still doesn't work. I also deleted cache&cookies, fooled around with some connection settings and rebooted. Still no success. What bothers me is that imgur works perfectly fine with IE.

    Upgraded to ff4 , no video but sound and chat are ok on justin.tv. Ended up downgrading back to 3.6 and voilla, all is well again!!!

  • Farmville will not load using Firefox, but it will with IE, for over a week now.

    Farmville will not load using Firefox, but it will with IE, for over a week now. I have cleared the cache and cookies multiple times, updated flash player, did a virus and malware scan, allowed java script, allowed mozilla in the Windows firewall, contacted Zynga multiple times, and yet Farmville still will not load using Firefox, my main and preferred browser. I'm very frustrated and want this fixed.

    Thanks for the advice cor-el, but if you would read the info I posted, I already did that, SEVERAL TIMES. That's not the solution unfortunately.

    Hello,
    Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
    You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
    Then perform these steps:
    *Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
    *In the Firefox options window click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select "General".
    *In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
    *Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
    Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:
    [[Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems]]
    [[Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL]]
    Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!

  • Mailbox will not load in firefox 4

    The tiscali mailbox will not load within firefox 4. I am able to log into the mailbox but once logged in I cannot access the inbox or any other function apart from email composition. Attaching a file to an email also produces a 500 error within the upload window.
    I have contacted Tiscali/TalkTalk support and they have directed me to you as they claim it to be a browser issue. I have no problems with this website in IE or in Firefox 3.
    I have not been able to solve the problem by disabling all addons.

    anyone?

  • Videos will not load in Firefox only. Have reinstalled, restored, etc.

    Videos (from YouTube, Facebook, websites, etc.) will not load in Firefox. I've tried reinstalling Firefox, restoring all settings to default, disabling all addons, extensions, etc. When I try to load a video, a dark rectangle appears where the video should and my cursor just shakes. In Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc. the videos load and play with no problems, no hesitation, so it must be some setting or some bad file with Firefox, but I feel like I've tried everything.
    I'm using Windows 7 on an HP laptop. I've checked my Firefox settings against those on my desktop PC and can find no variances. This problem is driving me mad, so please help.....
    Thanks.

  • Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro will not load on  new Windows 7 Home Ultimate PC

    Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro will not load on  new Windows 7 Home Ultimate PC

    When I double click on the AA9 icon to initiate installation, it whirls away for a while then asks if I want to allow "this program to make changes to his computer?"  I click Yes and it begins to process again for a few minutes.  Then it displays the following Invalid Unicode file error message...and simply stops processing or installing.  In that last process, it also reaches out for whatever reason and activates the magnifier tool in Windows.
    I have thought that perhaps upgrading to a higher version of Windows might help, but who knows for sure?
    P.S. – This is a brand new HP Pavilion dv6 series computer that is more than adequate to this task.
    Thanks for your interest in helping!

  • A URL will not load in Firefox (it does nothing) but will load in Safari; some other URLs also have a similar problem.

    In Safari with the above website, I cannot "View Source". Also, I have the same problem viewing images of patents at the USPTO, again probably a similar problem. Perhaps the web address isn't HTML but is an image format not supported by Firefox. Perhaps there is a plug-in or add-on that will be able to read the image, but should probably be included in the main Firefox release since it seems to be fairly common.

    A twitter widget on my website will not load in firefox but will load in every other browser I've tried. I have tried several versions of firefox. Here is the code I am trying to run:
    <code>
    new TWTR.Widget({
    version: 2,
    type: 'profile',
    rpp: 5,
    interval: 6000,
    width: 'auto',
    height: 265,
    theme: {
    shell: {
    background: '#333333',
    color: '#ffffff'
    tweets: {
    background: '#000000',
    color: '#ffffff',
    links: '#4aed05'
    features: {
    scrollbar: false,
    loop: false,
    live: true,
    hashtags: true,
    timestamp: true,
    avatars: false,
    behavior: 'all'
    }).render().setUser('ShawnC4Real').start();
    </code>
    And the first thing I checked was that scripts were enabled.

  • Disney Jr coloring pages will not load using Firefox on my iMac, using Safari the pages will load.

    I have a Apple iMac desktop computer that is about a year old, when using Firefox to access the Disney Jr. website the only problem I have is the pages that need to be printed to color will not load, the rest of the site works as it should. When I use Safari to access the same website there are no problems, I prefer to use Firefox as my browser of choice.

    Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
    "Clear the Cache":
    *Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
    "Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
    *Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
    *Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
