Apple can repair just about anything that might be wrong with your iPod, but it will cost you. Call, explain the problem, ask for a repair appointment at your nearest Apple Store (or get a case number and ask for instructions to mail it in for a repair), but get a firm quote on the repair cost before authorizing the repair (or mailing it in for repair).

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
and paste into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.

After I came back to US I took my MBP to Apple store and was told that there is liquid damage in the system. My question is that if there was liquid damage why did my MBP stop displaying the battery status right after the battery was changed secondly why didnt the apple verified Service centre tell me that there was liquid damage afterall I paid them the money for diagnosing the problem.
Is there a process i can followup on this problem

I went to the genius bar the other day and was told that force quitting apps was the single worst thing I can do to my phone or iPad, short of dropping and damaging it, or jailbreaking it.That it is bad for the software, firmware and battery. The employee was very excited about the topic and cringed when I force quit in front of him. He gave me the url to read about multi-tasking so that i could read more. But neither that page nor the force quitting apps page says anything about this activity being bad. Is it so bad? If so, why don't we know that? So many people I know force quit in an effort to have fewer pages appear.

Thank you for the feedback. I can breathe a sigh of relief that I can once again clear these pages from my sight. This employee said he tells about a half dozen people a day when they come in with various problems, as he is attributing their problems to force quitting. It's like he was out to save the world, one iphone user at a time. I'm talking *serious* passion from this man!

Not sure what "being kept" means. If it means it was new in the box and not used for a year then the battery is probably near dead as lithium ion batteries need excercise (a full charge cycle per month). If this is what you mean she will need to put a new battery in it.

Most confusing that iTunes ask security questions when I try to bay some Apps. ID and password is ok, but I got to awnser som questions. And I´m not 100% sure of the awnsers. So I marked "forgot ....." And get an Email to confirm my ID. So far so good... I confirme that and got a new mail saying, we are sending information to help you solve this..
But I haven´t recive any mait regarding that.

One detail to remember is that the Security Question reset email is sent to your Rescue Email Address, not the primary email address. It is a simple thing to turn off the iphone witht the slider. But my slleep button is not working and I am not at home to take it in. I did take it to a local phone shop out of the U.S. and I was shown a different screen to customize movements that I could use and a number of other personalizations that i had never used before. He showed me how to bring up the red slider without usint the sleep button, but it was fast and I now cannot find out how he did it. It looked real easy but there are so many differnt things that one can do to adjust the phone to your own liking. Has anyone come across this before? This would be for someone who knows how to use an iPhone 3S that has been fine-until now! Thanks.
