Yes, battery life could be longer but the trade off is size. Longer battery life bigger iPod.

ThanksIt was a CCC clone, and I had 2 versions, One that runs monthly and one I made because the computer was acting wonky. I called Apple because the Mac gave me an error message on my Time Machine disk, telling me to copy the backup to another drive and reformat. I was unable to copy it to the new drive because it said I didn't have the proper permissions. After trying several things, I deleted the data and reformatted. The drive is one of my older ones, so I suspected it was really bad. (Turns out drive is good according to Apple) So no time machine backup. However, I figured I had two CCC files, so there shouldn't be a problem, still thinking it was my external drive that had the issue. Talked to Apple who finally sent me to a store. The Genius said that it was actually the HD in the iMac that was bad. I told them to go ahead and replace, thinking I had double backup at home, as well as an online backup system.
I was unable to restore from the new CCC, but the older one worked, except I only got about 30% of my data. I've been in contact with Mike Bombrich and he reviewed my logs and saw that somehow CCC did not see my photos or movies or music and deleted them from the update run that morning. Now I have about 160GB of the original 540GB of data on CCC. I'm not a techie, but because I had problems with the TM, the CCC clones and CrashPlan that the bad HD screwed up the search/sync in some way. I am waiting until the darn online system stops scanning my disks long enough to try to download and restore from CP, but it has been in a constant scan/sync mode for over a week. -
having trouble with my Airport Utility not supporting either of my Airports Expresses or Basestation. Do i have to update Firmware of airports or is the issue with my version of Utility which i believe is the latest. Thank you.
AirPort Utility in Mountain Lion will not support the older versions of the AirPort Express.....model numbers A1084 and A1088. Check on the side of the Express for the model number.
In addition, AirPort Utility in Mountain Lion will not support the older "round" or "dome" shaped versions of the AirPort Extreme.
Can you check to see how your devices might be affected? -
when is the next ios update and will it fix/address the issue with photos not being shown in chronological order?
All of us here are users just like you. We have no inside info of when Apple products or operating system updates/upgrades will be released. The next iOS may not even change the issue you have.

Didnt read the issues with iOS5 until i've updated my iPhone 4. Restored 3 times and it is still locked in a loop of - Apple logo, loading, and a flash of "...restore successful...few steps away..." and buzz. Please help
At the end of a Restore, you will be asked if you want the current iPhone to be synched as a New iPhone or use the current iPhone's settings. Selecting the former since to have solved the messaging problem. If u have done back-up of the "old" iPhone on iTunes, then your New iPhone will be the "old" iPhone too after synching with iTunes :)

seems like i have to update the track number
can i do it automatically with itunes ?
maybe there is an option to do this with the 'music store' function ?
or do u guys have any other suggestion instead of manually update the track number?

thxWell you use iTUnes to organize your music on the PC and the iPOd. If these songs are in a playlist, you need to open that playlist in iTunes and organize it by the headers.

While updating my apps, I lost my wi-fi connection. I have since tried to update the apps several times...but none of them are updating. Each time I try to update the apps, I enter my password, but then nothing happens. Thank you - Chris
Hold the power button and the home button down until the screen goes black and the apple logo appears. This will do a reset and you should be able to update your apps then.

Associate your mobile number with your Apple ID, if you haven't already done so.
Sign out of iMessage on the Mac:
Messages ▹ Preferences ▹ Accounts ▹ Sign out
and on the iPhone:
Settings ▹ Messages ▹ Send & Receive ▹ Apple ID ▹ Sign out
Then, on the phone, tap
Use Your Apple ID for iMessage
Sign back into iMessage on both devices and test.

I'd start off your troubleshooting process by deleting and redownloading the songs:
If iTunes in the Cloud is available in your country, try the following steps to resolve the issue:
Delete the purchased song that is exhibiting the problem from your iTunes library.
Click on the Purchased link in the iTunes Store to view your previously purchased music.
Download your previously purchased song from this list.

What program will update the current temperature in Mavericks 10.9.1?
We have tried YoWindow3 and Weather.com with no success. So what can we use to display the current weather/temperature on the Desktop? Both of those programs do display the temperature, but they do not automatically update it as they did on our Windows system. If we start at 50 degrees, it will stay 50 degrees all day and night until we open the weather program itself, at which time it will update the temperature to the current temperature one time ... until we again manually refresh it. Is there any weather program that will actually refresh the temperature display on its own?
No, not Dashboard, as that requires bringing up the dashboard. Nor Safari as that means having Safari open to view it. But on the Menu bar at the top of the screen, the programs we have tried display the current temperature on that top bar, but do not upgrade it. We would like to see it when doing whatever without having to open or switch to a specific screen or program. When creating a document or spreadsheet, or when listening to music or viewing pictures, or doing anything else that does not necessarily leave the Dashboard nor Safari open. We are new to Macs, so pardon me if I am using the wrong terminology. In Windows, this would have been called the Title Bar, Menu Bar, or even Toolbar.
