Your a bunch of IDIOTs is that short enough?

I performed a factory CD install off of the image that it created and then tried to upgrade it to windows 10 but it prevented it since it keep's saying it is not genuine; aka i can not get this laptop with the factory CD image CD restore to be upgradable since every time I try to go to http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/genuine it said it is NOT genuine even though the properties for computer said it is. aka I can NOT get this computer to upgrade for my customer to windows 10 since Microsoft keeps thinking YOUR product has been Hacked and is counterfit. I'm NEVER going to recomend a company that will be under the surface look to their customers as being a legit company but at same time when microsoft keeps telling them that they have purchased a countefit version of windows. You need to fix this since it is your fault and it not some thing I should have to counterfit just to make it some thing that will make it look like it is Genuine and that its license is not counterfit. Please fix this since this is not some thing that should need to be fixed from a FRESH install off of your IMAGE and when it says it is Genuine but can't be verified by microsoft and at that point can't be upgraded to windows 10.

Hi, Welcome to the forum. I'm here like you, that all. Have a good day.

  • Any way to catch exceptions from asynchronous call that short dumps?

    Hi,
    We have a requirement for a program that we know will occasionally short dump under normal conditions. We want to use an asynchronous call to let it plow ahead. To that end I've created a test program that calls a divide by zero func that short dumps. It tests fine because it proceeds afterward. Better yet would be a way to capture some information from the function where the dump happens and raise it to the calling program. Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Doug
    Example:
    REPORT  ZJUNK2
    data: junkdone TYPE c VALUE space,
    write: / 'before'.
    CALL FUNCTION 'ZJUNK2'
      STARTING NEW TASK 'z_junktask'
      PERFORMING junk ON END OF TASK
          EXCEPTIONS
             communication_failure = 1
             system_failure        = 2
             other_exception = 3.
    Receive remaining asynchronous replies
      wait until junkdone = 'X'.
    write: / 'after'.
    FORM junk  USING taskname.
    RECEIVE RESULTS FROM FUNCTION 'ZJUNK2'
          EXCEPTIONS
             communication_failure = 1
             system_failure        = 2
             other_exception = 3.
      junkdone = 'X'.
    ENDFORM.
    FUNCTION ZJUNK2.

    data: i type i.
    i = 1 / 0.
    ENDFUNCTION.

    Hey Doug.  You need to catch the class exception cx_root in your function, then pass back the message.  This will catch a lot of system exceptions, but probably not all.
    DATA: junkdone TYPE c VALUE space.
    DATA: lv_message TYPE char255.

    CALL FUNCTION 'ZJUNK2'

      EXCEPTIONS
        communication_failure = 1
        system_failure        = 2
        other_exception       = 3.
    * Receive remaining asynchronous replies
    WAIT UNTIL junkdone = 'X'.
    WRITE: / 'after'.
    IF lv_message IS NOT INITIAL.    "<-- Check for error and write message
      WRITE:/ lv_message.
    ENDIF.
    *&      Form  junk
    FORM junk USING taskname.
      RECEIVE RESULTS FROM FUNCTION 'ZJUNK2'

          i = 1 / 0.
        CATCH cx_root INTO lo_exception.
          e_message = lo_exception->get_text( ).

  • Tired of Spam/Idiotic Alerts That Can't Be Turned Off

    I subscribe to MyFico and am tired of idiotic alerts that can't be turned off.  One of the most basic rules about alerts is that you alert people about "events", not "non-events", otherwise people start ignoring the alerts and when they are important don't read them.  As an example, if I have an alarm system I don't want to be alerted that "your alarm system didn't go off today", that would be idiotic, I want to be alerted when it does go off! Likewise, I don't want to receive 3 alerts every week telling me my "credit report was all clear this week", I want to receive alerts if something showed up on my credit report!  I am going to guess the user experience genius who was involved in creating this thought sending people endless ridiculous alerts would make it seem like we are getting more for our money, but it's just the opposite. But the worst thing is your alert setttings don't give the user any way to turn these idiotic alerts off. Rant off!

    Although I'm not sure what the big deal is here, perhaps your email account can filter those out for you? If I chose to ignore those alerts, I'm sure I could easy filter them in my GMail account.

  • Windows Mail could not be started. Make sure that your disk is not full or that you are not out of memory (0x800C0155).

    I have Vista SP2. Every time I open Firefox (3.6.13), I get three consecutive error messages:
    1) Windows Mail could not be started. The application was unable to open the Windows Mail message store. Your Windows Mail mailbox data is currently being used by another program, such as a virus scanner. Close the program or wait for it to complete its operation, then open Windows Mail again (0x800C0155).
    2) Windows Mail could not be started. Make sure that your disk is not full or that you are not out of memory (0x800C0155).
    3) Windows Mail could not be started because MSOE.DLL could not be initialized.
    This series of messages continue to recur during my Firefox session and eventually will freeze up my session.
    I use Gmail. I do not use Windows Mail or Outlook Express and deleted Windows Live Mail. There is a a file named msoe.dll using the path C: /Program Files/Windows Mail. I also found C:/Program Files/Windows Live/RemoteActiveX even though I thought I deleted all Windows Live programs.
    I have set Firefox as the default browser. Also, in Firefox, if I click on "File=>Send Link", it triggers the series of three error messages above.
    I don't understand why Gmail would reference Winmail. Any ideas how I can fix this? Can I or should I delete the Windows Mail and Windows Live folders?

    I have had many problems with permissions on Windows Vista, 7,8 & 81.1.  It is usually after an update or installation, especially one that requires a reboot to finish (some AVG, Windows Live, Windows Updates, etc).  Once File(s), Folder(s)
    and Registry Key(s) permissions are screwed up, it can take days to work them out if ever.
    After having spent several hours on a clients PC and online forums with this problem.  I transferred her user profile with a free program called
    Transwiz (run as Administrator) to a zip file on the HDD.  I renamed her user in manage User Accounts to "Username old".  I then ran Transwiz again to restore the profile but telling it to create a new user using the original Username.
     After it completed restoring the profile, I logged out of "Username old" and logged in to Username and all wass well, I only needed to supply the email password which is not transferred.  When you move profile data, all the old permissions
    have to be removed and <st1:personname w:st="on">new</st1:personname> permissions added so the data and files belong to the <st1:personname w:st="on">new</st1:personname> user.  This cleared up all the permission
    problems.

    The system doesn’t recognize or capitalize the word (I) or the first word of every sentence. Another really annoying thing about the integrated mail on your Mac computers is the fact that the system learns the word as you type it more and more instead of highlighting it as incorrectly is this is a word that’s being misspelled. Can Apple fix this bug to make it user friendly as if you were using Office or a Word Document?

    You hit the target CT.
    It’s only fair that if Apple is going to integrate Mail into Mac PCs, it would be nice if the system does it for you like Office or perhaps Outlook. I just don’t to use Outlook although I have it installed and ready to use, but instead use Mail which comes with Mac OS already.
    I hope to make some sense here.

    You are attempting to use the iPhone on a wireless provider that is not
    supported. You will have to work with them to resolve any issues or
    switch to a supported wireless provider. Which wireless provider are
    you attempting to use?

    Apple representatives don't respond to anyone in this forum. It's just user-to-user. Go here to check support options (going to Apple store, calling Apple support, etc.): https://getsupport.apple.com/ProductSelector.action

    No, it just means that you are running Lion and do not have Java installed. The update will simply check for any previous infection and let you know if it finds anything. If it doesn't find anything it will quit without any notices. In either case, it will then delete itself and you can sleep easy until the next one comes along.

    Then you can’t do anything with those files. Even opening them in InDesign would yield very unpredictable results.
    You’d need to find an old machine running nothing later than Windows XP and then buy a copy of PM which is like lighting money on fire.
    That said, someone might come along willing to help out but just exactly how many is a bunch?

    Is it possible for your iphone to be hacked so that someone can text message people in your contacts (and send pictures)? If so can you trace the hack and how can you stop it?

    Ugh I am not doing any of those things.
    I do have alot of issues with my email getting hacked often, could that have anything to do with it?
    I also do not believe my phone is jailbroken but to be honest I am not very smart with this.
    Basically text messages (inappropriate) were sent to a person in my contacts...and a text message conversation was had for about 30 that I had no idea was even going on. I noticed it on my ipad later (they are synced and normally recieve all the same messages etc). The conversation then just ended out of no where.
    Very odd...and I am nervous that someone has control over my phone.

    I am having the same issue too. It looks like many more people are having it as well. I called Apple Support a few times, but they use their standard naiive response: "we have never heard about this issue".
    It is an issue of DHCP implementation on the Apple OS.  My windows PCs and Printer are not having these issues..
