Do you use CLL product? I can't find this product top in any of my instances so if those files are not used you can simply ignore this error.

  • Trying to install iTunes and get this error: "The installer encountered errors before iTunes could be configured   Errors occurred during installation. Your system has not been modified"

    HELP!!!
I am trying to install iTunes on my Windows 7 laptop and get this error:
"The installer encountered errors before iTunes could be configured   Errors occurred during installation. Your system has not been modified"
Arghhhhh!! I've tried different browsers and various other things suggested on other posts to no avail

Ok people, I think I have found the solution !
If you click on the start button from your desktop screen.
Then in the "search programs and files" field type : apple software update - you can find the apple installer.
Click on the apple software update line and let the machine run it's course. I recommend updating whatever it wants to , ie: safari 5, quicktime, itunes....
I then restarted my computer and it seems to be working now !
    Good luck everyone !

Can't install latest version of itunes. "Errors occurred during installation. Your system has not been modified." Help?

I had this, and after a large number of fruitless attempts, I had to reload Windows, which solved it. This was of course a real pain, but I had to do it since updating iTunes was necessary in order to get the new iOS version. But before doing such a drastic thing, you could try to restore Windows to a previous point in time by picking a restore point. This of course presumes that you really have some issues with your Windows (which I had) and that you can make a decent guess on when the system was ok (which I couldn't), i.e that you can decide a good date to restore to.

  • Sidecar file missing - correct status on selected items

    Hello,
how can I correct the 'sidecar file missing' issue on several selected items in a LR2.3 Catalog?
With an external program named 'exiftool' I have manipulated xmp data (xmp:urgency) on selected images by means of a filelist.
During this process LR was running and the LR catalog setting was set to 'automatically write changes to xmp'.
Before Exiftool writes into an exisiting file, it creates a copy and renames the file ending with '_original'.
Hence, since LR was running LR was aware of what's going on and took notice of the changes for each file.
After I verified the process to have completed as anticipated, I went to delete the '_original' copies.
Back in LR the question-mark icon appeares for the manipulated files (that are fully intact - not a problem there).
Clicking the question-mark on a catalog item provides two choices:
    - continue tracking
    - forget (meaning clearing the link to the missing file).
So far so good. But what about when this is the case for many items?
Selecting these items and then clicking the question-mark does not apply the selected choice 'forget' the selected items.
I wonder if there is another way of getting rid of this question-mark (indicating missing links).
I am aware of the workaround of simply removing the items in question from the catalog and reimport them (synchronize folder).
Tried to importing the metadata from disk, but that does not help in this case (this is logical and correct).
But I also wonder why this function cannot be applied to a selection of items while most other functions can.
    Feedback is appreciated.
    Thanks for your attention.
    Hans.

On my friend's server 9, the initals are selected in the drop down when the page loads. On our server 7, the initials are not selected and just the first option that says "PNR Initials" is displayed in the drop down when the page loads. So if the initials "AG" are entered into the database already, the initials "AG" should be displayed in the drop down menu when the page opens. We are using the exact same code at my company and my friend's company, but it only works at his place, but not mine and we're not sure why other than the fact that he has Cold Fusion Server 9 and we have Cold Fusion Server 7.

  • "Your system has not been modified" iTunes download error.

Hello, this is my first time asking for support so I hope I provide all the information needed.
    Background:
A while back my elder sister went into my computer and messed some settings up because iTunes was being wonky and not updating her new iPhone properly (turns out later the iPhone itself was having issues - not my computer nor iTunes). I used an older version of iTunes because I had an older iTouch and didn't need the newest version, but I didn't have any complaints when she updated it. I come back one day and iTunes isn't working alltogether, and when I plug in my iTouch it tells me there's an error and I need to re-install iTunes (or somewhere along that line, I was stupid and didn't screencap the message). (I asked her what she had done and said "Updated your computer! It hadn't been updated in so long, and then iTunes stopped working! Beats me!" and she can't tell me exactly WHAT she changed and downloaded.) So, I went through the uninstall process and went to the Apple website to download it again, but it kept giving me a "Your system has not been modified" error. This was a long time ago but I came back to my computer to try and solve it again and I've tried to redownload it off the website multiple times but it gives me the same error.
I went into my control panel and "add/remove progreams" to see if anything was left over from the uninstall process but I can't find any iTunes files. Any idea on how to get iTunes back onto my computer?
    TL;DR:
    "iTunes Installer Completed
The installer encountered errors before iTunes could be configured.
Errors occured during installation. Your system has not been modified.
Please run the installer again, or click Finish to exit."

I had the same problem.I tried every solutions on the net but nothing worked.Luckily on that very day my free avast antivirus date expired(I dont currently have a paid antivirus) and I uninstalled it.Then I tried to install itunes and did it on the first go.But I am using a windows 7 32 bit so it might not work for you as you are on the 64 bit.Actually the antivrus was the culprit.Hope it helps. Thanks

  • Music files missing/hidden in folder on network hdd

    Hi all,
I have setup my home net work with a iMac (mountain Lion) backed up by a TimeCapsule and at the back of the TimeCapsule I have a 2TB networked external HDD. My iTunes library is located on this HDD, I take care not to start up iTunes before this networked external HDD has propoerly mounted to avoid any conflicts with links to my itunes library files and folders.
The other day I noticed a few missing files (the dreaded exclamation mark !), not too bad a figured, I located a few manually but reached some that does my head in...... Out of the whole album there are two files "missing", the other ones play as they should. When I try and locate the missing files the folder comes up empty.....
I have even checked the songs that do play in the same album....they dont show up either, even though they still play in iTunes (yes, they are all located at the same location). The album was originally ripped from a CD and I don't use iTunes Match or Genius.
I have tried to find the files by:
1."open in finder" - files missing / whole folder empty
2."through finder and located the drive and folder" - files missing / folder empty
3."copy file location from "get info" and paste into "go to folder" - the file temporarily appears in the finder window but dissapears shortly after / folder yet again empty.
    4. I check the folder "get info" from my finder and it says "zero bytes"
    5. I can't use Search because its on an external HDD and there fore not indexed
6.I have tried to copy the folder to the desktop but still shows empty....
    7. I have tried to "organise" my library, still no change.
    What the..xxx..is happening..?
From what I can gather, the files are actually there but not visible through the finder window (even though the folder appears to be 0 bytes).
The problem being that I can't locate my missing files because I cant see them any more......
Am I missing something (like show hidden folder on a Mac) or has it got to do with anything else...? How can I fix it..? I have found posts that relate to windows users forced their W7 to show hidden folders but nothing yet on Mac.....
    Help.
    //Fred

I was lucky to be able to use a PC, that after trying numerous times actually read the external hdd, I quickly copied all files over to a backup hdd and recovered all files. After that I ended up in contact with Western Digital about the incident and they recommended to completely erase (7-pass erase) of the hdd, which ended up taking over 5 days to do. They gave me no reason as to "Why" it would have happened but if I erase and reformatted of the hdd and the problem reoccurred they recommended to get the unit replaced.
I was lucky to recover all my files.....keep trying on different computers if you can, and copy what you can get hold of. The 7-pass erase will delete pretty much every trace of information on the hdd with no chance of recovery.
So far since the incident its been running ok but I not longer trust the hdd to be stable. Not a simple nor quick process / solution I'm afraid.
    Good luck!
Once you have recovered your files (or as many as you can get hold of) and ready to erase the hdd:
(THIS WILL ERASE ALL YOUR DATA, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A BACKUP BEFORE PROCEEDING)
Connect the drive directly to the Mac, open Disk Utility.
Select the drive and click on the "Erase" tab Select the "7-times zeros" to completely erase the drive.
Once the erase have completed format the drive to your selection.

  • Error: Logical end-of-file reached during read operation. Result Code = -39

    Hello all,
Recently, I have been suddenly getting this error message:
"Logical end-of-file reached during read operation. Result Code = -39."
In my case, when it does come up, it always pops up during the recording of an audio take. Almost immediately after hitting the stop button, this error message would pop up. And then when I go to check the take that was just recorded, there is nothing but shrieking noise. As a result, this pop up error trashes any good take I may have had. It's unpredictable as to when this error decides to pop up as well. So now, when I record, I tend to just have my fingers crossed and hope that this error doesn't pop up especially right after recording a good take!
To no avail, I have tried different I/O buffer settings, repaired permissions, rebooted, and even re-formatted my recording hard disk.
Could this be a possible hint that my hard disk is about to physically collapse? I have had it for about 2 years. Could it be some sort of bug in Logic? Or something else perhaps?
Appreciate any feedback! Thanks a lot!

    DamonGrant wrote:
    Thanks for those suggestions Erik...
It's been happening for a month I guess and I don't think that anything new's been installed. I will try recording to the start up disc and to maybe to some USB discs I have.
It seems to happen after working on a project for some time.
After say tracking takes for 45 mins or so. Maybe it's just coincidence, but do you think that might indicate a hardware issue?
Now there might be a clue. What happens when you then quit Logic, reboot your Mac, and reopen the active session? It might be that your disk has become a bit messy from all the traffic, and it just needs to 'settle' in OS X again. Click on the *Spotlight icon* top right of your screen and see if any indexing is taking place. Wait for it to finish before launching Logic.
Alternatively, you could exclude your recording disk from Spotlight indexing alltogether, by dragging the disk to the Privacy field in the Spotlight Sysprefpane.
One other thing to do: turn off Journaling , using *Disk Utility.* Select your recording volume in Disk Utility, hold the alt key while dropping down the File menu. Choose *Disable Journaling.*
On the other hand, it might also point to a RAM issue. Do you ever suffer Kernel panics (=the darkening 'curtain' and the message "You need to restart your Mac... etc")? or 'unexplained' crashes? If not or very rarely, I'ld rule out a RAM issue. If daily, it could be. What you can try in this case is to turn of your Mac and physically take out and reinsert your RAM.
And when you trash (=eject/unmount), physically disconnect and reconnect your recording disk? Does that help? (Logic should not be running when you do this)

  • Oracle Multimedia: PhotoAlbum Sample - PhotoAlbumDBInfo.jsp file missing...

    Hello there!
I installed the package of Examples for Oracle 11g and did everything correctly about the configuration process of the PhotoAlbum example for JSP, but when I searched for the file "PhotoAlbumDBInfo.jsp" - funnily, the main file to run the example - it strangely wasn't in the package located in <ORACLE_HOME>\ord\http\demo\jsp. Then, I'm not able to run the program without this file.
I tried to search it through the internet, but with no success.
Maybe was it corrupted during the instalation? Or there is some issue about the Oracle Examples updated?
Can someone point out how to solve this situation? If I could get this JSP file, would be great.
Thank you very much! I'm really needing this to start a customized work to my university using Oracle Multimedia.
    Greetings from Brazil!

    Yes, there is. As follows:
    About the JSP Sample Application
    ================================
The Oracle Multimedia JavaServer Pages (JSP) Photo Album sample application
shows how to use the Oracle Multimedia Servlets and JSP Java Classes library
to upload and retrieve multimedia data to and from a database. Users can
access the JSPs to view the contents of the photo album (including thumbnail
versions of each photograph), to view the full-size version of any
photograph, and upload new photographs into the album.
The Oracle Multimedia JSP Photo Album sample application contains the
    following files:
    PhotoAlbumDBInfo.jsp
A JSP that displays an HTML form that prompts users to enter the database
schema, password and the database connection string.
Users can choose one of these options for the database connection string.
Option 1. A JDBC OCI driver specifying a SQL*Net service name.
This option works on all platforms where an Oracle Database
    client is installed.
Option 2. A JDBC Thin driver specifying a host, port and Oracle
database SID. This option works on all platforms and does not
    require an Oracle Database client.
PhotoAlbumBean.java uses the input information to connect to the database,
    retrieve and upload photographs.
    PhotoAlbum.jsp
A JSP that displays the contents of the photo album using an image
    tag <IMG SRC="PhotoAlbumMediaViewer.jsp?media=thumb&...> to display
    the thumbnail images.
A friend of mine did the same installation and configuration on a Windows Ultimate (x64) and the file is also missing there. Could it be possible that the "Oracle Database 11g Release 2 Examples" do not have this file in the version that I mentioned? None has the file or it's not permitted to share this file through this forum?
    Thanks!

  • "Sidecar file missing" - LR 1.1 can't read XMP files

I am getting a "sidecar file missing" icon for 150 out of 2,500 photos I've imported into Lightroom. The .XMP files are present in the same folders as the photographs, LR is just not recognizing them. It is just a few files from several different folders, but not all the files in any folder. The photos appear as "Missing Files" in the Library heading on the left panel in Library mode.
The metadata appears correctly saved in the LR cache. I have tried writing the metadata from the cache to the disk, but that does not help. If I try to import the files or folders again, Lightroom will not allow it saying that the images are already in the catalog.
Sometimes I add metadata (i.e. rankings) to the files in IMatch 3.6, but I seriously doubt that has anything to do with this problem.

Robert, thanks for the reply. I did find a work-around, eventually, but still haven't figured out what went wrong; I'm still investigating that.
    The work-around:
    1) I went to the Missing Files "filter" in Library mode.
    2) I selected the missing files
    3) I went to "Metadate/Write to File" and chose that.
    4) If Lightroom said that the metadata had been updated in a different program, I chose the "Overwrite" option.
    5) I then Removed the selected files from the Catalog (Alt-Backspace on my PC)
    6) I then Imported the folder(s) with the missing files again.
Lightroom then read the XMP files without a problem.
I previously had tried your suggestion of opening the file in Breezebrowser Pro, modifying the metadata and saving the file. This did not cause Lightroom to able to read/find the XMP files.
I printed out various versions of the XMP files from instances where Lightroom could and could not find the XMP file and am going to compare them when I get a chance.
    Thanks for your help
