Have users getting emails with subject your apple id was used to sign in to facetime and imessage on an ipad. It will then have another users name listed as
Dear "that other person"
your apple id (another user than the Dear person above) was used to sign in to FaceTime and Imessage on an ipad.
Why would the first person be different than the next?

I just started using icloud.com on my pc and every time I sign on it sends a message to my recovery email, not icloud mail, and it drives me crazy especially when I have to sign back in after not being used for a bit. How can I stop them? Or would I register or verify my computer to get them stopped? Always been an iphone user but I don't know much about all the systems and programs. Please help! Thank you
Check your Apple ID to make sure that your Primary email address is the one where you want the notifications sent. At this time, there is no way to "turn them off". This was a security measure that Apple instituted to alert you that your iCloud account has been accessed by a browser.

You will receive this message any time someone uses your username and password to access Find My iPhone or when they log into icloud from a browser or other iOS device. If you DID NOT log into these services at the times indicated in the e-mail you may want to change your password as it could mean that someone knows your account details and are logging in without you knowing. This feature can not be turned off at this time and was enabled as a security precaution after the nude celebrity photo fiasco. If you no longer wish to receive these notifications in your e-mail, the only current way of getting rid of them is to create a rule in your e-mail program to send the apple e-mail to spam or trash as soon as it's received in your inbox. -

Since upgrading from snow leopard to lion (which I hate) I keep getting email messages on my MBP (with lion) and my Mac Pro desktop (SL). The messages read "your apple ID was used to sign in to facetime..." or "...to iCloud and iMessage on an iPad mini."
How do I stop this?As léonie pointed out, you need to check whether or not this is really from Apple.

I've just received an email from 'Apple' saying that my apple id was used to sign into iCloud on an iphone 5S. I have an iphone 4. It then asks that I 'click here' to confirm my details and change my password. How do I tell if the email is genuine?
Apple will not ask you to click a link in an email. They may tell you to log in to your account to reset your password. Go to https://appleid.apple.com and log in if you ever want to change any information in your profile (or your password). And do not click the link I just posted; instead enter it into a browser.
You can verify the devices assigned to your account by going to https://icloud.com/find (again, don't click it), where you can see a list of devices registered to your Apple ID.
As a general rule, you should never click a link in an email or forum post without verifying it first. You can see where it goes without clicking it in most email programs and browsers by hovering your mouse pointer over it. On an iPhone you can check where it goes by holding your finger on the link (rather than just tapping it). -

After resetting your password have you tried logging out of your account on your phone by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then logging back in to see if that 'refreshes' the account on it and if it then works ?

When i try to activate facetime and imessage on my ipad it says cannot sign in. Check your network connection and try again. However everything else that needs internet works. What do i need to do?
1. Make sure software is up to date
2. Make sure FaceTime is enabled; Settings>FaceTime
3. Make sure Date and Time is correctly set; Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>On
4. Make sure Push Notification is enabled
5. Make sure phone number or email address is correct
6. Hold the Sleep and Home button down (together) until you see the Apple Logo -

Cannot sign in to FaceTime and imessage
i can't sign in my FaceTime and iMessage....
The next step is to clear the cahces, they may be somthing messing with them, do this and get back to me, If this dosen't work I have one more step we can try.

Delete everything in both folders, some might ask for a password, thats fine. Empty the trash, some actions coulnd't be completed becuase xxxx.xx is in use, just keep clicking continue, and the restart your computer.
