I have a cisco controller 2504. We have guest internet plug into port 2 of the controller. I have layer 3 web authentication set up in which guest see a web site and type a user name and password to get on the guest wireless internet. However, when I connect I get this every time, "Your connection is not private 1.1.1.1, NET:ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY INVLAID, This server could not prove that it is 1.1.1.1; its security certificate is not trusted by your computer operating system. I'm unsure on setting up certificates, but I do see one on the controller as 1.1.1.1. If I export it to my computer and install as a trusted certificate then it works, but how do I get the guest pc's to trust this controller. Do I need a public certificate?

Another newbie question, Why do I have to have a certificate for this to work? I guest I'm not understanding the certificate. For example, at my house the internet comes in, I have it plugged into a wireless router don't need one to connect to the internet. At our facility the internet comes in, plug into a cisco RSV I think, then plug into port 2 on the controller. The web address it redirects them to is our web page www.autumncorp.com in which is provided by BizCom. Wouldn't the cisco controller basic certificate I see under Web Auth, certificate locally generated be trusted, since it's from cisco. I thought certificate were for a business which house their own web servers. Sorry for some many questions, trying to understand when I need a certificate and when I don't.

I have never seen "rrnas01" before so I don't know at all where it came from. I also installed the free 30 day trial of Suitcase Fusion 3 recently, but thinking that could also be the cause I have uninstalled it, and still no help.
Please help me! And please keep in mind I don't know all the computer lingo that a lot of the people in these forums seem to know. Thanks in advance for ny help you can give me.

It may not be possible .. there is a major bug between Mountain Lion and the TC where the TC disk goes off the radar of the computer.
Lion is also affected but not as badly.
7.6.4 seems worse than earlier firmware.. so back to 7.6.1 or 7.5.2 if that is possible.
Obviously that is not a solution for a later Gen5 TC.
Reset to factory after the firmware downgrade. .use all network names that are short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric.
If the TC is the main router set the dhcp to a very short lease time.. eg 30min.. and see how it goes, or try a longer lease like 99days.
I prefer the very short lease but response has been mixed.
Use ethernet not wireless.. ethernet is always more reliable and stable than wireless.
And last .. a nightly electric timer that powers off every night at midnight for 1min.. would not be the first device we have suggested a fix that amounts to beat the unit to the punch by forcing it to reboot since it is unstable.

I have a web page that contains a ReportViewer control. I am trying to display a report, which is an .rdl file located on the SSRS server, in this ReportViewer control. I have set the ReportPath and ReportServerUrl correctly. I am
getting an error message.
Am I suppose to use an .rdlc file rather than a .rdl file? Does the web server configuration need to use a certain account?

The error "The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found." means the ReportServerURL configured in the ReportViewer control is invalid.
Please follow these steps to solve the issue:
Logon the Report Server machine.
Open the Reporting Services Configuration Manager.
Copy the Report Server URL from 'Web Services URL'.
Logon the application server(in this case, it is the server that host the web page), check if we can use the URL we got from step 3 to access the Report Server. If so, please replace the ReportServerURL in the ReportViewer control with this URL. If it is
not available, could you please post the error message.
Additionaly, we don't need to provide the extension for a server report. The ReportPath should be like: /<reports folder>/<report name>

My computer will not recognize my iPod Nano when i connect it. I tried my laptop instead but it said the same thing - one of the USB devices attached to your computer has malfunctioned, and windows does not recognize it. Can i fix this?

My 16 gig iPod Nano 7th gen was put of power. I connected it to the computer and it started to turn on (the apple appeared in the middle of the screen). Then left it two minutes and the computer went into sleep mode. My iPod nano had gone off and now it will not turn on, or connect to the computer, so i cannot charge it. I am not sure if it is a problem with the usb cable. When I conntct the cable to the computer nothing happens, but then when i connect the iPod to the cable it says 'one of the USB devices attached to your computer has malfunctioned, and windows does not recognize it'. Please don't say its broken already

Trying to Hot Sync Visor Pro with Windows 7 (64 bit OS) - getting error: "The connection between your handheld computer and the destktop could not be established. Please check your setup and try again."

I read the posting regarding the options on Hotsyncing for Windows 7; however, I have some questions as I have a 64-bit system.
I have a Visor Pro that I'm trying to Sync up with my new laptop which is running Windows 7.
Steps I have taken:
* installed the Visor Palm Desktop 3.0.1 that came with the Visor (which the installation went well)
* The issue arises when I push the "Sync" button on the cradle and the following error message appears "The connection between your handheld computer and the destktop could not be established. Please check your setup and try again."
Since I have a 64-bit OS it appears that I have 2 options: 1) bluetooth or 2) Infrared.
I have to admit I don't know know how to do either of these (how can I tell if this Handspring Visor Pro has bluetooth (which I don't it does)?).
Then how about the Infrared option? I see on the PDA it has a red area that one can "beam" info. Is this the same as Infrared or my 2nd option?
I love my Visor and want to continue using it, but need to backup the valuable info!
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

Hello lwalbring and welcome to the Palm forums.
Your Visor, as you suspect, does not have Bluetooth, so you must use the IR HotSync option. Since you are using Windows 7 64-bit, I believe that you are going to have to upgrade to Palm Desktop 6.2.2 to make things work from an OS/Driver perspective.
Since you are using such an old device, you are also going to have to download and install the PalmHotSyncSetup Utility from Pimlico. This update turns on support for old Palm OS PDAs in Palm Desktop 6.2.2. Without the update, you won't be able to sync your Visor with Palm Desktop 6.2.2. The software is free and the link is all the way at the bottom of the screen.
Lastly, if your PC doesn't have an IR port on it, you will need to purchase a USB to IR adapter. Some laptops still have IR ports and most desktops don't.
Once you have all the pieces, you'll want to go back to the Windows 7 and Vista HotSync thread again, and follow the directions for setting up and configuring IR HotSyncs.

It sounds like you are unable to access the iTunes Store in the iTunes application. Based on the error message I would try the steps in the article here named:
iTunes for Windows: iTunes Store connection troubleshooting

Remove pop-up blockers
Some pop-up or ad-blocking programs may interfere with the ability of iTunes to connect to the iTunes Store. Removing them in many cases will resolve the issue.
Flush DNS Setting in Windows
In some cases, the DNS information you computer uses to connect to the Internet needs to be reset. Follow these instructions to flush your Windows DNS information:
Windows XP
On the Start menu, click Run.
In the Open field type cmd and click OK.
