Your cookies seem to be disabled

I have been using FireFox for ever and never had this problem. Last week it started not accepting cookies. When I go to my IGOOGLE home page I have to log in as well as other sites that I should always stay logged in to. I have checked FireFox settings and it is set to accept cookies as it should but still it won't. If I try to go to Google search settings, it displays "Your cookies seem to be disabled". The problem is not just with Google.

First go through the procedures in the [[Web sites say cookies are blocked]] article.
If you are still having problems, the file that stores cookies may be corrupt. You can test this by deleting or renaming the file that contains cookies to see if it solves your problem.
# Open the profile folder, for details of how to access that folder see the [[profiles]] article
# Close Firefox
# Rename or delete cookies.sqlite
# restart Firefox and check to see if cookies are remembered

    iTunes is updated and works fine and I am able to log onto my account. When I go to purchase a song, I get the error message "Your Apple ID has been disabled". I've tried different methods: changing passwords, making a new account with another email address, and emailing itunes tech support. I am curious as to how many others have been experiencing the same issue. When I googled the error, it seemed like it was happening extremely often with many people.
    We all love their products, but they always come with a lot of issues and horrible customer support.
    My apple Id is [email protected]

    My Iphone 4 is telling me the same thing and I believe I figured out what the problem is.  I had some fraudulent charges on my itunes account, so I call my bank and disputed the charges.  Right after I did that, I started getting the message "Your apple ID has been disabled."  I just realized today that the charges are not fraudulent, they are "in app purchases."  One of my daughters downloaded the game Top Girl which is FREE, but in the game Top Girl you use money in the game to purchase things.  It just so happens that the money you use to purchase things is real money MY Money!!!.  My daughter thought she was using play money in the game and had no idea she was using real money.  She spent $106.00 buying stuff.  Now I have to call the bank and tell them to release the hold and pay Itunes.  I'm hoping this solves the problem.  Here is the link to learn how to disable "in app purchase" on your iphone or ipad.

    Saw this solution on another post about an iPad in a school enviroment. Might work on your iPad so you won't lose everything.

    ‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
    Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
    I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
    Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
    1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
    2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
    3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
    4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
    5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
    6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
    7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
    8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
    If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Try it and good luck. You have nothing more to lose if it doesn't work for you.
     Cheers, Tom
    Sorry, does this link work
    http://www.apple.com/support/appleid/
    I ended up having them call me then was able to give them 1 of my secret questions right and they reset things so I could reset all my secret questions.
    Try going into contact support and see if you can schedule a call. There seems to be some issues with peoples' id's and this update. iTunes thought that I'd never bought anything from my computer or device before, and I clearly had, so it's like it got confused. THen I tried to get my questions reset, but the mail never came, which is why I just got a phone call because I felt it was 'real person' time.
  • SP2-0915: Cookies may have been disabled
    Hi folks: I am getting an error "SP2-0915: Cookies may have been disabled" when I try to run a query using iSLQ*Plus. My configuration is the following:
    Browser: Netscape 7.1 or IE 6.0 SP1
    O/S: Windows 2K Workstation SP4
    Oracle Database: Oracle 9i Personal running on my local workstation.
    HTTP Server: Oracle Apache HTTP server
    Through iSQL*Plus, I can login to any of my database instances (e.g. scott or HR) without any problem. I can't execute any queries!
    I have modified all my settings in both NS and IE to accept all cookies, and followed all the steps in every readme file etc. that I can find related to the setup & configuration of iSLQ*Plus. I have search far and wide (including Metalink, Google web and groups) and have nothing that helps... I would be most grateful to anyone who can assist me in solving this problem. Many thanks in advance!
    Hi Alison, thanks again for your reply. As it turns out, the problem was caused by my Zone Alarms Pro firewall. Once I shutdown ZA, iSQLPlus worked perfectly. I had tried all sorts of different settings in ZA, one at a time, but nothing made any difference. I had even changed a couple of settings in my Norton AV 2003 but that didn't help either. When I go to use iSQLPlus now, I do a ipconfig /release to release my current IP (so I am not connect to the 'net) and then shutdown ZA. I have a few ideas on what the conflict is between ZA and running iSQLPlus but thats for another day S
    i have done everything listed here so many times and nothing is fixing this. Made sure cookies were enabled, cleared cache and cookies, made sure Gmail was approved in security settings, and then as a last ditch effort, I disabled all add-ons for Firefox and still no Gmail... I was so desperate that I even re-installed ff-19 and still cannot get into my email account. What is going on here? Any help or small nudge in the correct direction would be much appreciated!
    I used the same thing used in the first link 950400...
    Firefox > Options > Options > Privacy > remove individual cookies > typed google > remove all cookies > typed gmail > remove all cookies
    restarted Firefox and now I can log into gmail...
  • Groan..."Your Apple ID has been disabled."
    I'm trying to buy a movie with Apple TV
    And I get the message:
    Your Apple ID has been disabled
    MZCommerce.AccountDisabled.AppleTV_explanation
    I reset the AppleTV to the default setting and restarted it.
    But this will not go away. How do I fix this
    Well, I think I fixed the problem.  It seems to have had to do with my confusion over the multiple Apple ID's I'd accumulated over the years AND the fact that the attached email contact address on the primary account was my gmail address.  Once I changed the email account associated with the ID to a non-gmail address, it seemed to do the trick.
  • I have been receiving messages "your apple id has been disabled"
    I have been receiving messages "your apple id has been disabled" while updating or purchasing apps on apple apps store.
    Had followed the advice to reset / change apple Id password via Apple Id but problem still persists.
    Had sent 2 mails within 48hrs to itune support store via "manage my account" but with no reply except an acknowledged email from itune support. BUT I replied on the acknowledgment email from itune even there is an disclaimer saying "please don't rely" on the acknowledgment email. After sending the mail, a person named "manjunath" replied as itune support centre staff, asking for verification before investigating the problem before enabling the apple id. he/she asked me to answer for some security such as billing address, last 4 digit of credit card no., last purchased apps and order no. The mail does not appeared to  be and official respond from apple itune store, very suspicious .
    Has anyone encounter this kind of mail, wonder whether is authentic and could rally resolve the matter?
    It seems that many apple id users have encounter the " your apple Id has been disabled" problem, many complained that there is no respond for itune support to rectify the problem.
    It seems that the only way ton resolve the problem is to email to itune support and wait for them ton resolve the matter for you.
    Any one Please help to enlighten me.
    Yuor last statement sounds about right. Any emails from apple will include a [email protected] email address- unless you specifically are given someones contact information that may be responsible for handling your case. The questions they ask seem typical enough to verify your account but Id be careful when responding. Id chose rather to email itunes and let them specifically handle it, in their fashion, uyes slow but they do get the job done.
