Your disk copy of image was changed since last opened or saved

I recently clean installed 10.6.1 on a brand new hard drive together with CS4 including all recent Adobe updates. Apart from Acrobat Reader I have no other Adobe software on this computer.
When I open and start to work on a file all seems fine and the first time I try to save it's OK, but on the 2nd attempt and there after I get a strange message pop up like the attachment telling me that the file has been changed since it was last opened or saved.
To try and resolve this problem I have trashed the preferences, verified that fonts are OK with fontagentpro and double checked all my preferences inside Photoshop but nothing there suggests any problems. I also cleaned the fonts cache but this message continues. It has been suggested that the message is being caused by some other application, however it is happening even when Photoshop is the only active application. Does anybody know what could be causing this?

I believe I have just found the answer to this problem but it all happened quite by accident and I wonder if others may be suffering from issues in CS4 with snow leopard for similar reasons. A couple days ago I tried using the Kodak Gem Airbrush Pro plugin which is occasionally useful, though I hadn't needed it since installing snow leopard. For some strange reason it was refusing to accept my registration code and and was either causing Photoshop to crash badly or else left the watermarks on the image.
I wrote to Kodak about this who replied earlier today that this was likely to be a permissions issue with the preferences folder in the shared users library, so they suggested I run a command in the terminal to alter those permissions. When navigating there manually, no such folder existed, but after running the command line the folder appeared and the only item inside it was that Kodak preference.
To cut a long story short, not only has the Kodak plugin started to work properly but all the other strange error messages and frequent crashes also immediately stopped. I've run the same tests now more than a dozen times on different files without a problem.

I am occasionally getting a message that "the disk copy of image was changed since the file was last opened or saved". The OS is 10.6.6 and I am using CS5. It happens on no specific file. All of my files are pretty big. The current one that this is happening on is a psb that is 3.26 G unflattened. I have from ignorance always ignored the message and saved anyway. I have never detected any damage or discernible changes to the files after ignoring the warning, but after searching Adobe forum and reading a thread about this happening in CS4, I guess I should be more cautious and do a save as and change the file name. I started this thread because no one has reported the issue happening in CS5.
The files were all given to me by ftp as either psd, tiff or camera raw files. I work on duplicates of the originals in no other program but photoshop and opened and closed the files a few times before getting the message about the disk copy being changed. All of my files are saved to an internal harddrive and backed up on a time capsule device. I am on a network, but am the sole user of the network. The files are worked on and saved to an internal hard drive on the same computer. They are never opened on another computer which is usually turned off. I am running no virus protection software except what ever is native to the OS. The only other applications I am running when getting this message are safari, mail and sometimes bridge.
Why am I getting this message and what is causing changes (that I can't detect) to the disk copy?

I wonder what it can be. I'm 100% sure its nothing running in the background changing the files in my workflow.
I checked everything and its funny because it is the same on 3 Mac Pro here ???
So it must be a bug some where in Adobe's files/apps/etc
Some combination of files, setup or what ever making the error come up.
I never had it before i upgraded to 10.6.x Before all Mac Pro was running 10.5.8 with PS CS4 and it worked alright.
Then i upgraded all our Mac's to the latest to get the 64bit feature and PS CS5 and even the newer CS5.5
And then it started and its also with the newest PS from CS5.5
First i thought i found the problem because i saw a post at Extensis forum about the Suitcase FM core and Fontsense
extension for Photoshop and i deleted the extension from photoshop plugin folder and i was happy at first but then again.
It came back after a wile.. Sucks. Not that.
I wonder if its really because PS thinks the image was changed. I know it suppose to be that way but in our situation it is
something else. A bug ofcause and i have been trying to figure this out the last 3 days and even yesterday i used 7 hours
in a row to find a solution but i never found it.
I really hope we can find a way other than reinstalling Mac OS X and Photoshop. I do think if we formatted the drive and
started all over it would help but i don't want to do that because it will take me for ever to set up from scratch, yarggg

When saving a Photoshop CS6 file I am suddenly getting this message: "The disk copy of “File Name” was changed since you last opened or saved it. Do you want to save anyway?" Chris, thanks. Yes, I realize that something outside of Photoshop is modifying the file but how do I find out what is causing it or how do I stop it? I had not added any new software or upgraded anything when this started and I have never had this problem before. I don't use any font managers. I do have a virus barrier but, as I've said, I have had this software for awhile and can't imagine why all of a sudden it would be interfering with my file. I spoke with Apple to see if the problem might be on their side but they seem to think my Mac is running fine. My biggest concern is will this cause my file to become corrupt? Before closing out yesterday, I created a new document and copied everything from this file over into the new document and renamed it in the hopes that it may help... Maybe something was wrong with that original document. Not sure that will work but will find out today. Also, I haven't worked on any other files since this started. So, I'm not sure yet if this is happening to this file only or if it may happen to future files. -Thanks

Is it possible to import, only changes since last import using imp/impdp

on our production environment, we export three times a day.(10.00AM,1.00PM,6:30PM)
and We only want to import the evening export - we have to kind of make sure that if the online system fails _ we have a data up to yesterday evening.
i.e. we want a sort of incremental import, for example we would have yesterday's evening import and today we only want to import all the changes since yesterday's evenings import - that means we want to import into existing database but we want to import only the changes since last import.

I know about RMAN, but our management outsourced our data center and the guys there does not look comfortable around oracle - and me as a DBA was assigned to taking this export backup and import it to another PC once in a day
so I was thinking if it was possible to import "incrementally"
it is good to know that it is not possible, because I don't have to spend time looking for a solution which is not there.

HPCM Error - Model definition changed since last calculation

Hi everyone,
I am having a bit of an issue on an HPCM app.
1)Warning message when I go to Balancing -> "the model has changed since last calculation."
2)Message when I select reporting cube in Balancing -> "the reporting database has not been updated with the last calculation results."
What was done before I got to this point :
1)add some lev 0 members in the current hierarchy for Cost Centre
2)run a compare to check if these are picked up (OK!)
3)deploy from EPMA (result : message SUCCESSFUL)
4)go to HPCM and deploy both cubes (OK->at least that's what the Job Status said)
5)check new members in OTL (OK! they are there)
6)launch the calcs from HPCM , tick the box to clear all prev calc data, tick the box to regenerate calcs, tick the box to transfer data to the reporting cube.
result : job status : OK!
But actually : data never got transferred across to the reporting cube.
I repeated steps 1-6 a few times, I even changed something in the shared library (an alias) to check if that went through.
In EPMA it says the App is "In Sync with deployment". And when I run a Compare with deployed app it doesn't pick up anything.
Any ideas?

Hi everyone,
Just realised I never came back with the answer to my issue. I was developing the new app and launching the creation of the calcs sequentially, hence while I was developing calcs for stage 2 or 3 , regenerating only those scripts are calculating only the particular areas. This was the reason why I got that message. As soon as I redeployed both apps and recalculated everything from scratch, the error message disappeared.
Just in case anyone was wondering.

What update are you referring to? If you do a search for "Kodak" in the iPhoto community you'll find numerous posts regarding problems with Kodak cameras.
So far there's no known fix. The best workaround is to use a card reader with the memory card of the camera.

How do you change the last opened date in Lion?

In many screens the files are organized automatically by last opened date. This information is not available when you click command info on the individual file, however, if you list out the files and click on the option to show last opened on the row on the top you will see this information.
From time to time it is useful to change the creation and modification dates to move where files are displayed in various windows. While there are utilities and articles about changing the creation and last modified date using third party software or the terminal, I have not been able to find any way to change the last opened date. This is useful if you wish to hide a file you recently opened so that another user can't just find it as one of the last opened files.
When I googled this question all the solutions using terminal either with touch -t or touch -mt commands changed the creation and modification dates, but did not affect the last opened date.
Anyone have a solution to this?

Copy-Pasting images to change icons of files/folders.

I have changed a few folders to images I have found online, rather than the default blue folder, however there is always a background (usually black). Is there some site that has lots of icons with no backgrounds (for example most applications have no background).
This is hard to describe and I hope that this is the right forum.

that's because your windows volume is formatted NTFS and is not writable from OS X without extra software. if you really want to you can make it writable from OS X by installing NTFS-3g or NTFS fro Mac by Paragon but I'm not sure it's worth the trouble just for this task.

Old Iphoto book was changed when I opened it. How to revert back?

I have 2 previous Iphoto books that I made and now I have Iphoto11. When I clicked to open one of the books, Iphoto11 totally changed the book and made it into a new version. How do I get the old version back the way I had it?

You can't. Evidently the themes that you had used in the previous version of iPhoto are not available in iPhoto 11. The only way you can get that particular theme back is if you have a backup copy of the older library and can install and run the previous verson of iPhoto. However, depending on the version of iPhoto, you may not be able to order a copy.

API to find out all unsaved changes since last safe

I am currently implement a cPro Subsystem.
During the save operation, I would like to analyze the changes that the user has done since the last saving (e.g. change in the field "GROUPING" of a task, or newly added phase, or new assignment of a business partner to a role).
Is there a service class, an API or something similar by which I can find that out?
Some kind of change manager or change log class?

The class CL_DPR_APPL_OBJECT_CHANGE_MNGR should store the information you wanted. The problem is that the attribute
MT_UPDATED_OBJECTS is private and can not be retrieved externally.
Actually, if a sub system is implmented, typically the following three methods should be added:

ON_OBJECT_CHANGE     Instance Method     Private          Event handler for cPro Object change

Odd facebook/image problem ever since last update

Hi
For some reason, some images are not showing up on facebook ever since I last updated to the latest version of Firefox. It's odd because say for example, a band I have liked on facebook posts a photo, it will show up in my news feed. However when friends of mine post photos, nothing shows up. Just a white box. I checked in the viewpage tab, nothing is blocked. I cleared everything, cache, cookies, etc. but the problem still exists. Even tried disabling all of my addons but get the same result. Running Firefox 10.0.2

I didn't fix it afterall.
Seems to be a PC issue, as it's happening in both Chrome and Firefox. Uninstalled malerware bytes, problem still exists. Not using any other firewall/av software.

MacBook Pro-'the disk copy of "file name" was changed...'

My MacBook Pro has been running very slowly. Occasionally, the message 'The disk copy of "file name" was changed since you last opened of saved it. Do you want to save it anyway?" when attempting to save photoshop files. It also tells me my start up drive is nearly full but it is not. I'm guessing the these are related. Anyone else experiencing this?

256 SSD
OSX Lion 10.7.2
I have seen this with Photoshop, Flash, and Dreamweaver CS 5, and Eclipse.
I am growing concerned that this is either the SSD starting to fail or possibly the new Spotlight index algorithm.
Would really like to see if anyone has a fix.
