Your export may contain calls not supported by your application version

Hi,
I'm a newbe and i'm in a process of installing oracle apex 3.1 with oracle 10g express. having problem in upgrading the default apex to apex 3.1.
Now i'm trying to import the OEHR then its giving this error NOT COMPATIBLE (Your export may contain calls not supported by your application version.)
Please help me in giving full steps of the upgradation from apex 2.1 tp apex 3.1. i have followed the following upgradation steps :
1.Running @apexins.sql file
2.Configuring embedded PL/SQL. by running the @apex_epg_config file.
3.Altering the anonymous account unlock.
4.then installing PL/SQL webToolKilt.
And please let me know which steps i'm missing in this order and the problem to fix the above error.
Thanks in advance
Jyoti

Hello,
Jyoti,
I'm not clear...are you saying your upgrade to 3.1 was successful or not?
The error you mention suggests that you're trying to install an application from a more recent version of Apex into an older version (which suggests your upgrade didn't work?).
John.

Could you please let me know what are things i need to check/modify to import that appication and not able to understand why this appication only getting issues as all the appication which we are imported in same workspace itself.

    Hi
I am trying to install a htmldb application developed on a 9i database onto htmldb running on 10g. (I believe htmldb2.0 was used for the 9i development)
I have imported the application successfully but when I try to install the application I get the following error message:
NOT COMPATIBLE (Your export may contain calls not supported by your application).
(I have uploaded the application to htmldb.oracle.com
    schema = kjcs
    appliction = boe_reports
    Keith

The problem was the export file versions.
When you install a file it gives you the export file version of the file.
The original htmldb database was created and has an export file version of 2004.07.04
This file was sent out for development (off-site) and was developed on a htmldb database which had an export file version fo 2005.05.01
So the install from version 2004.07.04 to 2005.05.01 was successful.
But when the file came back it had an export file version of 2005.05.01
and we were trying to install it in a database with export file version 2004.04.01
    This caused the failure.
To see export file version export an application/page from htmldb and re-import it. When you click install it displays the export file version, before allowing you to proceed

Ok, guys. This is a real helpful error message.
I exported an application from Application Express 3.0.1.00.07.
I tried to import it into XE -- Application Express 2.1.0.00.39
Can anybody shed some light on what NOT COMPATIBLE means and what I can do about it?

whew... did the upgrade, application installed, seems to be running just fine
i was a tad bit surprised how long the upgrade took (a couple hours of SQL*Plus scripts), but it went quite smoothly

  • I keep getting this error message "Your operating system does not support the 64-bit version of Silverlight" even though I have a 64 bit system?

Netflix requires Microsoft Silverlight plug in to view their videos. Every time I try to load it I get the following error message...Your operating system does not support the 64-bit version of Silverlight. I have a 64bit system with Windows Vista Home Premium. Firefox 33.0 is installed.
    Any suggestions?

    Your User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.0; '''WOW64'''; rv:33.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/33.0
As said Firefox for Windows from mozilla.org is a 32-bit application. The WOW64 in UA means it is a 32-bit application on 64-bit Windows.
Before you ask if there will be a Win64 version of Firefox. If all goes well the first phase of having Win64 for Release may be as early as Firefox 37.0

It can be that you have an old version of Photoshop Elements and a new camera.
    Please tell us
Which operating system you are running on
Which version of Photoshop Elements you are using
Which camera the raw images come from (Make & model)

Sorry, I am on a MAC. I downloaded the link you provided and it's giving the same error message as above. Running CS5.
The error message you gave is from Camera Raw. I thought you said that DNG Converter didn't work?
The link I gave you is an article on getting your raw files to open in Camera Raw. Did you read it? I lazily gave you the link because this is one of the most common problems in this forum, and I get tired of saying the same thing over and over again. I could break it down for your specific case, but I was hoping you could read through the article and work it out for yourself.
    But, here goes:
Your cameras are newer than your raw converter, so it won't understand them.
CS5 comes with Camera Raw 6, which can only be upgraded as far as 6.7.1. You can find out which version of Camera Raw you are running in three ways: in the settings title bar (Cmd-K), in the plug-in title bar (press F to start/stop full-screen mode to reveal the title bar), or Photoshop's Help menu (About Plug-ins).
Downloading raw files from newer Nikon cameras with old versions of Nikon Transfer will actually make them unreadable in Adobe software. They can be fixed with a free utility. Again, it's all in the linked article. You should be using up-to-date Nikon Transfer, or Adobe Photodownloader to avoid this problem.
All being well, you have good raw files on your computer. You can convert them to dng using Adobe DNG Converter. IF you are on OSX Leopard or Snow Leopard, you CAN'T use the latest version, because Adobe stopped support. But, if you ARE on a later OSX, you can download DNG Converter 8.6.
DNG Converter is designed to convert FOLDERS of raw files at a time. You select a folder of raw files, and tell it to create DNG copies. BUT, you have to set up the converter before you start using it...
If you load up DNG Converter, you'll notice a button labelled "Change Preferences". Clicking this, you'll see the first option is "Compatibility". Here, you must select the appropriate setting for the version of Camera Raw you HAVE (see above). If you can't work this out, just pick "Camera Raw 5.4 and later". THEN pick a folder of raw files and convert them to DNGs.
All the above is already in the article, but I gave you a personalised response. If you still can't get it to work, please give us more than one sentence. Tell us exactly what you tried, and describe exactly what happened. Which version of OSX you're running, what device and software you downloaded your raw files with, how you used DNG Converter, and so on.
I really should be in bed.

  • Why does Silverlight install process state that my 64-bit Win Vista OS does NOT support the 64-bit version of Silverlight?

As of Monday 4/20, I've encountered a significant problem with Silverlight on my Vista PC.
Several weeks ago I read a brief item stating that Google would be dropping support for npapi and that it would affect Silverlight sometime in April.  One of my key daily apps uses Silverlight, but I didn't receive notification from that software's author
about the pending change and how it would be handled.  Successfully used the app every week (Mon-Fri) this month for 8-10 hrs/dy day (as I've been doing for the past ~5+ years: past year under Chrome, year before that under FireFox, ~3 prior years
under IE) and on Fri 4/17 shut it down for the weekend.  When I booted up on Mon morning and tried to log into the key app however, it prompted me to download and install Silverlight, acting as though I never had it installed!
I recalled the earlier warning about Google dropping support, so I closed Chrome, started up FireFox, but got the same prompt from the app -- it directed me to install Silverlight.  I downloaded it (had no choice as to which version, just got the "Silverlight_x64.exe"
file) and got part-way through the install when this error msg popped up:  "Unable to Install Silverlight.  Your operating system does not support the 64-bit version of Silverlight".  WHAT?!   Clicking on the "more info"
link led to this msg:  "Message ID: 1518.  Your operating system does not support the 64-bit version of Silverlight.  Click here for the latest version of Silverlight."  That link simply led back to the download page which resulted
in receiving another copy of the same executable file.
According to my system ( > Control Panel > System ), I'm running "Windows Vista Home Premium", with a "System Type:  64-bit Operating System".  I've been using this same Vista PC since Sep 2008 and running Silverlight for
    around the past 5 yrs.
? -- Why doe the Silverlight installer code flag my OS as not supported?
? -- Is there a way to get an older version of Silverlight that will run under Vista?
Thanks in advance for any helpful comments.

Andy -- Thanks for the link, but I'm not adventurous enough to download from a non-MSFT site.
Besides, since I didn't make any changes to my hardware/software config, I expect a MSFT rep to explain why their two programs suddenly stopped working together and then provide whatever code fix is needed.  A phone call to their tech support (predictably)
led to nowhere but a recommendation to purchase one of the company's support offerings (which I declined to pursue).  The Silverlight development team appears to participate in these forums, so I'd hope one or more of them offers a realistic solution.
Here's something I forgot to mention in my original post:  In several of the threads on this subject (some dating back to 2008!), people have
suggested running IE as the browser vs FireFox or Chrome; however, that idea fails to note that the error msg (Message ID:1518) clearly states that "your operating
system does not support the 64-bit version of Silverlight"; it doesn't say anything about
    what browser you're using.

Problem viewing forms. This form is not supported with the current version of Adobe Reader.
Upgrade to the latest version for full support.
What exactly do I need to do?

That means you were probably using Adobe Acrobat to view PDF's. Acrobat is totally unnessary, you can view PDF's in Preview (Applications - Preview).
BTW PLEASE complete your profile. It's very difficult to help  someone when they don't provide any information about their system. You can easily do this by clicking Your Stuff in the upper right of this page, then click Profile and fill in the pertinent information.

  • FF4 will not open after download... "you can't open the application "firfox" because it is not supported on this application." If 4 doesn't work on OS 10.5.8, then how do I get the old firfox back?

I downloaded the FF4 update and it has the "no smoking" symbol over the FF icon. When you attempt to open the app it states: "you can't open the application "firfox" because it is not supported on this application."
    I have OS 10.5.8
If it will not work, how do I get the old version of FF back?

Are you sure you downloaded the .dmg file? It should have automounted for you and opened in finder. Then all you have to do is drag the FF4 icon over the Applications link in that finder window and it will install.
I seem to recall seeing the error you noted when I accidentally clicked a windows .exe file on my Mac.
Also, if you visit firefox.com from your Mac, it should be prompting you to download the .dmg anyway. The only way you could get the .exe would be to click the "other operating systems" link below the main download button.

I get upset to see people on this forum who answer the questions like *'use google'* or *'let me google it for you'* or *'use this forum filter'*
I belive it is better to help them answer a better question or if you don't like the question ignore it.
    Hi user10511107,
I belive your problem is with Windows not with BI, BI just can't get windows version,
If you are on right version of windows go to MSDN and search for your error and how to fix it

  • The attached iPod model is not supported by this application

I just bought a 20G color iPod. I spoke w/ the Apple tech support & I needed service pack 2. I downloaded it. I didn't have a USB 2.0 port then I installed one. I downloaded the latest Apple updater software 2005-06-26 then I tried the even later version 2005-09-06. When I go into updater, it says it is "initializing" and then says "the attached iPod model is not supported by this application." Reformat and restore are both grayed out. iPod doesn't show up in iTunes and doesn't transfer my library. I just got back from the Apple Store and the suppossed "genius" said the iPod is fine and it is my computer. WHAT is wrong with my computer?

    Brad,
you ought a little bit more descriptive! What Version of iTunes are you using? Check the software version of your iPod (if it even has one yet) under Settings-About. Your iTunes and iPod software have to be compatible. If you're running 4.9 you need 2005-06-26. Close iTunes and leave it alone. Deinstall all iPod related software, clean the registry if you want (I don't think this is so much necessary for the iPod software). Then install 2005-06-26 again on your computer first!! Don't connect the iPod. After having installed it, open the Updater, then connect. Before you do that and since you don't have any music on the iPod reset it to factory settings under Settings-Reset all settings. Or at least reset it with pushing Menue and the center knob at once. Many possibilities I know, but either one will work...after that it will remain seen by iTunes and you're a lucky guy (hopefully).
    Best regards
