"Your license could not be validated"

I am a new subscriber to CC. Upon launch of Audition, I get the error message "Your license could not be validated. Audition must now shut down". Premiere and After Effects shut down on launch with no error message.
I have tried everything I can think of including re-installing the programs, and the solutions suggested in this discussion: https://forums.adobe.com/message/5913644#5913644
I have a full version of Adobe Premiere Elements 9 still installed on the computer.
Thank you for the help!

Sam

  • CS6 & CC Instantly Close, Audition "License could not be validated"

    Hi,
    I am given the full CS6 suite through my school. I also just subscribed to the student Creative Cloud subscription (which I really don't want - I wanna wait until it is available through my school - but I thought just having CC would get rid of my CS6 woes).
    What's happening:
    The night before last I was editing a huge, important project in Premiere Pro CS6 and Audition. Following some tutorials and wanting to make use of Audition CC's new features, I installed a trial of Audition CC and everything worked fine.
    Yesterday morning Premiere Pro closed every time it opened a project. Didn't matter WHICH project or if I created a new project. --Wasn't just crashing - if I moved a source file and relocated it when I opened the project, it would ask me if I wanted to save the project before closing.-- Every other CS6 program would do the same thing except Audition CS6 which said "Your license could not be validated. Audition must now shut down." I'm assuming this is what's happening to the other programs.
    Hours of pulling my hair out, researching and trying fixes, I subscribe to CC and let it download the programs overnight.
    This morning, it's doing the exact same thing. Photoshop, Premiere close instantly, Audition says my license could not be validated.
    What the heck is going on??
    Here is a YouTube video showing what happens when I open Audition, Premiere & Photoshop. (The weird error that pops up when I load the support chat is just my Gyazo GIF being unable to upload the gif - irrelevant.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b12euH1aFME
    Log-stuff:
    The only major concerning thing I found in the Event Viewer this morning was:
    Activation context generation failed for "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CC\Dreamweaver.exe".Error in manifest or policy file "" on line . A component version required by the application conflicts with another component version already active. Conflicting components are:. Component 1: C:\Windows\WinSxS\manifests\amd64_microsoft.windows.common-controls_6595b64144ccf1df_6.0. 7601.17514_none_fa396087175ac9ac.manifest. Sounds like an activation issue - maybe related to my problem.

    HELP!!!!!!!

    -Unfortunately, no. I spoke a couple times with Adobe tech support via live chat (though 99% of the time I spent on there was validating that I owned their product and then telling me they had to pass me around to repeat ..) and then @AdobeCare helped me test a few things and it still did not work, so I went with a full Windows reinstall (and migrated from 7 to 8) to save me the headache.
    I was avoiding the suggested OS reinstall due to saving time/headache, but the opposite happened.
    It works fine other than 1 error in Win8 for me now.
    -Yes I tried in selective startup and safe mode.
    -According to everything I found, it wasn't actually related to licensing at all.
    -Hardware setup did not change. Just installed Adobe Audition CC trial.
    -Yes, both CS6 and CC managed to do the same thing.
    -HOWEVER everything is working in my new Windows install, except Photoshop CS6 is now not updating, giving me this:
    Photoshop 13.1.2 for Creative Cloud
    Installation failed. Error Code: U44M1P7"
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,

  • Your licence could not be validated

    Hi again,
    so I build these AIR apps server-side and then upload them to InMarket where everything looks alright.
    But when I launch them, here's what I get:
    But I am, of course, connected to the Internet.
    So I check the generated application key but it looks OK. And so does the generated updateConfig.xml; the URL in it works and returns a valid XML file... Except the <versionNumber> is zero. And the file linked doesn't exist...
    Here's the updateConfig.xml:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <configuration xmlns="http://ns.adobe.com/air/framework/update/configuration/1.0">
        <url>http://apprepo.adobe.com/apprepo/201011/updates/fr.edumedia.app.MediaWrapper.uid82-en/upda te.xml?version=2.5</url>
        <delay>1</delay>
        <defaultUI>
            <dialog name="checkForUpdate" visible="true" />
            <dialog name="downloadUpdate" visible="true" />
            <dialog name="downloadProgress" visible="true" />
            <dialog name="installUpdate" visible="true" />
            <dialog name="fileUpdate" visible="true" />
            <dialog name="unexpectedError" visible="true" />
        </defaultUI>
    </configuration>
    Is that zero normal?
    Did I miss something?
    Can you think of any reason why it says the licence cannot be validated?
    Thanks in advance!

    OK, so I found what was wrong!
    First, the GUID I was generating looked OK but where not, I changed my mind and chose to manually copy/paste them from the "Get Application Key" tab, rather than trying to have a semi-random logic.
    Then, since I am building the apps from a command (server-side) I use a <flex-config> file. One of the setting that I missed was <static-link-runtime-shared-libraries>. For some unknown reason I set it to false, which was a bad idea, because apparently that doesn't work with licensing.swc; setting it to true fixes the error I was reporting!
    Very happy, now build apps with just a few clicks!

  • License could not be validated

    I have Creative Cloud and I have this issue with Premiere and now Audition. I havn't been able to open anything since I bought this in October and I've been paying for it. All my tickets just get closed.

    I've tried everything chat and tech support. I've tried reinstalling. Chat tells me they can't help I have to call tech support. Tech support trys messing with my drivers and spending 4 hours doing nothing. I've tried everything. EVERYTHING. I saw some posts on here with the same issue and they sent them help. So I'm waiting for that help to be sent to me. This is my last hope.

  • Licence could not be validated

    Hi,
    I've subscribed for CC and installed Audition CC, but upon start-up it shows an error message saying "Your license could not be validated. Audition must now shut down". I have tried uninstalling everything, then using the CC Cleaner Tool and installing Audition again, however the problem persists.
    I have had trial versions of Photoshop and Audition installed before but I assume the Cleaner Tool should take care of any leftover files.
    Thanks in advance for any advice!

  • VS 2013 Community Edition lost its license: SP324098: Your browser could not complete the operation.

    I have installed Visual Studio 2013 Community Edition on a brand new Windows 7 machine and registered with a new Microsoft account. This was for testing purpose to see how well the new Community Edition would work in comparison to the Professional Edition.
    At first, everything looked good.
    Didn't use it in a while now, and just came back to see that it's complaining about a license. What a warm welcome. It gave me a link to "renew" the license and I clicked it. It opened that pre-login window, then came back and said this:
    SP324098: Your browser could not complete the operation.
    That's all. Every single time I retry. What does it even mean? I don't want my browser (IE11 by the way) to do anything, I just want that license to use my free Visual Studio edition. Is it not free after all, was it just a trial that has now expired? I
    mean, why should I get a 1500$ application for free... That just doesn't sound real.
    Anyway, can somebody tell me what went wrong and whether/how it can be fixed?

    Okay, something's badly broken here in my region. I took an older VM with Windows 8.1 and an installed VS 2013 (from MSDN, with licence), uninstalled VS 2013, installed all Windows updates, and then installed the VS 2015 CTP 5. It has installed fine, but
    at the first start, it says:
    Sorry, we ran into a problem.
    SP324098: Your browser could not complete the operation.
    At least I can ignore the problem and continue in this case. After starting, under "Register product", it first said "licence expires in 14 days" and I was logged in with my primary account. Must have been from the previous installation.
    The error code appeared here as well. After logging out and registering again, it seems to work. And my default browser here is Chrome and I never took special care about IE. In VS 2013 CE, however, I don't even get the login form.
    So this is an entirely different machine, it has never seen a community edition of Visual Studio nor the separate account I used for it. Yet it failed with the very same error message. What the heck does that error code even mean and what is the real cause
    of it?? Can you please tell me the truth about it? I don't want to chase symptoms or try every guess somebody might have (retry, restart, reinstall) – that leads us nowhere. This error appears for a reason, I hope, and somebody must be able to find that out.
    (If not, I'm really wondering what Microsoft engineers do and whether they know their product.)
    If this doesn't improve, I honestly and urgently suggest you drop this broken licensing implementation and replace it by what there was before (i.e. product key or nothing at all) or use another proven technology. This thing just isn't stable or reliable
    and will cause trouble.

  • Your computer could not be verified Mac App Store and FaceTime

    Hi All
    I've been trying through several forums for a long time to find a solution for my problem before giving up, I'll go down to the point:
    I have an iMac Intel 20" early 2008 (I can provide more detailed specs when required). I am using Mac OSX Lion installed from a usb and prior used Snow Leopard. They problem has been consistent thru all versions, same symptoms, same all.
    1. Whenever I try to login to Mac App Store I get the famous: "your computer could not be verified, please contact support for assistance". FaceTime also does not login, promptying a "server error, try later".
    2. Contacted support, and after 16 emails back and forth all I was told at the end was: "I am able to log in into your mac app store account from this side after resetting your account,is there anything I can do for you today".... (!!!!????)
    3. There has been a problem parallel to that, and although I am not sure they are related anyhow I need to point it out. My ethernet port stopped working and there is no way to create any connection through it. I can still use wireless quite well (reason why I still keep my machine). After sending the machine to repairs, diagnose was that it could be a problem on the logic board and to fix it may require to replace LB entirely. So I decided not to go for it and keep the machine only with wireless connection.
    So I have tried every single solution found (so far...) on google and forums to no avail: a) deleting .plist, b) resetting network configs and creating new locations, c) resetting PRAMs (not sure if it solve anything, but tried anyway) and others. The problem still persists with the same symptoms.
    I can login into iTunes store and buy applications from computer, iPhone and iPad, which makes me think that my credentials are valid, alas, I logged into this forum using them.
    I also tried creating a new account at App Store, when I request it through the Application, the "little fan that advises you to wait" appears, but suddenly dissapear with no warning or message at all (!!!!????). It is like you never requested anything in first place.
    Obviously I can still use my machine for internet and stuff, but my ability to purchase/use any Apple software is seriously restricted. I cannot purchase any software anymore if AppStore is going to be the main way to acquire it (which I think it will).
    So, my big questions are:
    1) Is this hardware problem (ethernet, logic board, connection ports) remotely related to the machine authentication process when using MacApp Store and FaceTime through Apple?
    2) Is there a way to fix this through software, before I consider replacing the machine? (Please take into account that I have already tried TS1811, deleting .plist files, resetting network, creating new locations from scratch... I basically searched thoroughly on google, forums and tips and tried all reasonable found recommendations before posting).
    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks Livia and Huevoos (eggs??) for your interest in this post.
    In a nutshell, I haven't been able to solve this. I gave up on Apple support after they proved useless.
    As Huevoos suggested, and I confirmed it time and again after browsing thru endless forums, it seems that the user validation routine for the Mac App Store is done by looking into your network settings, which in my case are either incomplete or erroneous due to the broken-down ethernet. (I am still waiting for somebody more experienced in this forum to contradict or explain this).
    So, because I still have wireless connection, I can use my machine for day-to-day chores, have not been able to purchase anything up to this date in the Mac App Store though. I'm waiting for either a software update that could correct this (Mountain Lion??? there's no guarantee only hope) or the moment when my machine will need to be replaced by a new one with a functional ethernet.
    I'm sorry I can't be of more help. But I'm pretty much in the same situation as you guys.
    Live long and prosper.

  • The filter expression is on external data and could not be validated.

    The filter expression is on external data and could not be validated. It may not be supported in Web browser forms.
    I am reciveing this error in my infopath 2010 browser form when I am trying to filter a drop down list from sharepoint.
    I thought filters were available on infopath 2010 browser forms or are they only available from values inside the form?
    I did have a look around the forums but only could find this error occuring during beta stage.
    Thanks

    Ok, so you shouldn't be filtering in the form, because that means it downloads the entire list first and then filters out the items.  That's client-side filtering.  What you want to do is server-side filtering by doing a parameterized query.
    Set the data connection NOT to automatically download
    Add Form Load rules that do the following:
    First, "Set a Field's Value" and set the position query node of the data connection to the value of "manager" (whatever the exact syntax is)
    Then query the data connection
    Doind this should make it ONLY download items where position=manager instead of downloading all items and filtering.  This is a much better practice and was not even available in 2007, so you should make full use of it in 2010.  Even so, what you
    were doing should have worked anyway, so I'm not sure what's going on there.
    When you do the filtered dropdown, your Source field should be the repeating group of the data connection, not the property itself.  The property should only be selected in Value and DisplayName.  The group should be in the Source field, and THAT'S
    where you apply the filter.

  • Web Service in EnterpriseOne: Credentials could not be validated

    I am trying to run one of the lab exercises to test the address book web service. While testing this web service; I am getting the following error in the SOAP response XML when nothing is passed in the WS-Security :
    <faultstring>Internal Server Error (Caught exception while handling request: java.lang.RuntimeException: Credentials could not be validated from message or from configuration file.)</faultstring>
    Whenever I pass in my user/id password; I get the following message in the response XML:
    <faultcode>env:MustUnderstand</faultcode>
    <faultstring>SOAP must understand error: {http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-wssecurity-secext-1.0.xsd}Security</faultstring>
    I am new to web services and am unsure of what setup is missing in or outside of EnterpriseOne. I will really appreciate if someone could shed some light on this.

    It's worth checking that security has been enabled for the web service. I seem to remember that I had to do this when I got the same error a while back.
    In OAS, log onto the Enterprise Manager on your OAS server and select the OC4J instance that contains the Business Services Server. Click on the Web Services tab and then select the Web Service that you're trying to test (eg: RI_AddressBookManagerHttpPort). Click on the Administration tab and if the Security feature is not enabled then press the Enable/Disable Features button, move Security across to the Enabled Features pane and press OK.
    Back on the Administration tab, select the Edit Configuration icon for the Security Feature, and press the Inbound Policies button. Ensure that the Use Username/Password Authentication checkbox is selected. The Password Type should be Plain Text.
    You shouldn't need to bounce the OC4J instance.
    I'm not sure about Websphere without doing more research, but I imagine there must be a similar option.
    Good luck,

  • Crystal Report failed because a free license could not be obtained

    My question is about Crystal Report Standard (v. 10) and Crystal Report Professional (v.10)
    Trying to print labels on from my application using Crystal Report Standard Edition (v. 10) and I am getting the follow error.  And it doesnu2019t print any more.
    "Crystal Reports job fauile because a free license coukd not be obtained in the time allocated.  More licenses can be purchased direct from Crystal Decissions or thorough the Crystal Decisions Online Store"
    If a run the same application on another server using Crystal Report Professional Edition (v. 10) and get this error, but the print after few seconds.
    "A Crystal Reports job was delayed 2 seconds waiting for a free RDC runtime concurrente license to become available.  More licencses can be purchased direct from Crystal Decisions or through the Crystal Decisions Online Store"
    Is this happening because Standard / Professional differences?.  It is any way to workaround on the standard edition and made print again with out reboot server.  How many users can print at the same time?
    Thanks for your help.

    Hello Monica,
    In your earlier posts you said the RDC was referenced in one of the licensing warning messages.  The licensing warnings you've listed here would normally be seen in a Crystal Reports .NET application, not an RDC application.  I don't see any details about your application though.  More details about the actual application would be helpful.  What type of application is it? Which Crystal component are you using?  Which IDE did you use to create your application?  How did you deploy the application?  What type of keycode did you use to deploy?   Is a full version of Crystal Reports also installed along with the runtime application?  Also, please confirm whether or not this is a web or windows application.
    Since these are CR.NET licensing warnings I'll address the errors and warnings related to the CR.NET object model.
    Crystal Reports 10 Standard edition and Professional edition are not a development level products.  These types of keycodes would not normally allow a runtime application to operate.  You'd normally see the warning messages if you were using either a CR10 Developer, or CR10 Advanced Developer keycode when deploying a CR.NET application.
    The CR.NET runtime licensing model has 3 Concurrent Processing Licenses (CPLs).  This number can not be changed.  CR10 Developer edition does not include queuing in it's licensing model, so when the 4th request comes in if the 3 CPLs are in use then the 4th request will fail with the "free license could not be obtained" error message.
    CR10 Advanced Developer edition includes queuing in it's licensing model, so when the 4th request comes in if the 3 CPLs are in use then the 4th request will queue and test to find a free license every 2 seconds for approximately 2 minutes.  In this case you'll see warning messages in the event viewer.
    The 3 CPLs can not be increased - they're a fixed limit based on the number of CPUs on a particular web server.  If you use a web garden or web farm and use load balancing then the number of CPLs increases as the number of CPUs increases.  It's 3 CPLs per CPU.
    There is no way to force the licenses to be freed up.  This is handled by the CR.NET report engine.  When the engine is finished using the license it is freed up automatically.
    The Report Designer Component (RDC) does have a 5 seat model in CR10, but it does not follow the same queuing model seen with the CR.NET component.
    Once you post more information about your application, and the Crystal Reports runtime component you're really using we can see if the above information applies or not.
    Sincerely,
    Dan Kelleher

  • IPhone nike+ Sync - Data Could Not Be Validated By Server

    Hi
    I have been using my iPhone 3GS with cardio equipment at my local gym (TechnoGym Vario Series) which has built in docks that among other features, store workout data to the iPhone to sync with nike+. This had been working perfectly since I started using it last month.
    In the past week I have been unable to sync any of my past 6 sessions to nike+ because I get the following error message:
    "Your workout data could not be sent to nike.com because the data could not be validated by the server."
    I understand how to access the xml files on the device and force a re-synchronisation by moving them to the "latest" folder, but the error message persists and none of my past 6 workout sessions will sync with nike+.
    I have tried to sync the data on 2 different machines, one Windows 7 64-bit and the other Windows XP 32-bit but exactly the same error occurs. Both are running iTunes 9 which I suspect may have been what has broken this feature?
    I really hope I can find a solution to this problem and would be grateful for any help. I am happy to provide any information required including copies of the xml files affected.
    Many thanks.

    Hi
    I have had this response from nike plus and this cleared the error when uploading my runs.
    Sometimes it happens that the iPod register the runs as already uploaded,after a not succesful uplaod.
    Then the only way to upload them again is the following.
    First you need to enable to view hidden files ( Control-panel >Folder Options>enable to view hidden files.)
    1. Dock your iPod nano and allow iTunes to launch. Select your iPod from the device tree on the left-hand side of the screen in iTunes.
    2. On the Summary page, make sure that "Enable disk use" is selected.
    3. From your Start menu, navigate to Start > All Programs > Accessories > Windows Explorer. (Please note that this program is not the same as Internet Explorer, the web browser.)
    4. In Windows Explorer, click Tools > Folder Options and select the View tab. Make sure that "View hidden files and folders" is selected.
    5. Find your iPod nano in the device list under "My Computer." It will appear as an external drive; mine, for example, is Drive E, and it's labeled "Your iPod." Yours should have a similar name. Click on it.
    6. Navigate your iPod nano's folders as follows: iPod_Control > Device > Trainer > Workouts > Empeds. In the Empeds folder, you'll see one or more subfolders with alphanumeric filenames. These filenames correspond to your Nike+ sensors. Explore the folders until you locate the one containing the runs you'd like to manually re-upload. They'll probably be in the "synched" folder within your most recent sensor's folder.
    !!!!!!!!!!!Important ,you need to delete the settings.plist file in the sensor folder which stores your login information to make sure for next time you will upload to the correct profile
    7. Drag and drop each run folder you'd like to manually re-upload from "synched" to "latest."
    8. Eject your iPod nano and close iTunes.
    9. Dock your iPod nano and allow iTunes to launch. Your run data should upload
    Hope this helps.

    I have tried EVERYTHING (well, nt everything, I don’t have the fix I suppose).
     I found plenty out there and nothing directly correlates with this issue.
    I searched on all parts of the errors I got.
    This contains an interesting blurb about setting up access for the apppool id correctly.
    That’s not the case for me.  It works in dev and the same id are used there.

    This was good but it doesn’t give specs on what the environment looks like:

    The was interesting…but I am patched up beyond the June 2011 CU so it’s a moot point:

    Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

    If thats the case, have you tried accessing the site on each server directly?
    Found this for you, maybe that can help?
