My sons old iPad 1 is rarely used, but, when i charged it up the message was; "iPad is disabled try again in 22,824,852 minutes" sorry but thats a bit of a wait!
I have gone through all the various reset methods but can't get around the disabled status??
Can't see another way to reset it.

Jonny Burns.Is this how you do it?
1. Turn off iPad. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, slide to turn off.
2. Connect USB cable to computer
3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
5. Release the Home button
6. Open iTune (make sure you have the newest version of iTune)
7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"
8. Use iTune to restore iPad
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad -
Why do I get an error 1004 whenever I try to download an app?
Sometimes this will work as well when you get that message. It's easy to do. Try it before you do anything else.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Cache or Data. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. -
I managed to download to my desktop entered key etc but when I try and install the wizard says it was interrupted and not fully installed no changes made to the system try again later - did this loads of times - same response - anybody any ideas what Im doing wrong?

Sorry I was away for a while – how do I run check disc on windows 8. The laptop is new and is an Aspire V17, I believe it has a high spec and therefore should have no issues??

I send small or large email and I get the same message.....I've spoken to server & they say they have no issues with their servers!!
I know that I have only used 32% of my mail quota so it not that I have reached my limit.

With the correct password, I get that message while trying to make an in-app purchase. If I enter the password incorrectly I get "Your Apple ID or password is incorrect." This has been going on since about 10am central. What's up? I have seen this was an issue in the past years but not recently and no real answer was given.

If you can verify that your Apple ID and password are correct by logging in at AppleID.apple.com and are certain that all your apps were purchased under that ID, you may want to try manually logging out of your Apple ID on your iPhone, then logging back in. When updating to iOS 5.0.1. get the err -3259, thus unable to install new iOS. The message I receive goes: "THE NETWORK CONNECTION TIMED OUT. MAKE SURE YOUR NETWORK SETTINGS ARE CORRECT AND YOUR NETWORK CONNECTION IS ACTIVE, OR TRY AGAIN LATER."

Tnx.I have a quick wifi connection (Mac shows it as about 35 megabits) but I couldn't get the 5.0.1 OTA to work, I had to do it via cable to my computer's iTunes - and as I was already on iOS 5 it was only a small download, basically the same size as the OTA size.
As the original poster is talking about a 730 meg download then I assume that they are still on iOS 4.3.5 or below and can therefore only download via their computer's iTunes - you need to be on iOS 5+ before you get the OTA option. -

I am running Windows 7 (64bit) , and an error message appears following a recent update to iTunes v 11.1.2: "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes store. An unknown error occured (-3212). Make sure your network connection is active and try again." I have dug a little bit into possible problems but haven't found a solution yet, one note is that the network connection is OK. Since I upgraded my anti-virus software to Trend Micro 2013, I now get this error message:
"iTunes could not connect to the iTunes store. Make sure your network connection is active and try again."
My internet connection is working fine. I suspect it is related to my anti-virus upgrade.
Any ideas?Definitely try disabling anti virus software then try iTunes.

I've had the same problem for a month and yet I still cant get iTunes to work, I've heard different solutions but none have worked for me
