Your postings helped my fix my movie without posting a question
I just wanted to drop a quick note to say that your postings, especially Len's, got me to try saving the movie to a disk image and then use Disk Utility to burn the final disk. It worked and overcame a repeatedly annoying rendering error I was getting. Is this a bug with iDVD?

My guess is that iDVD is trying to burn to "high speed" DVDs too fast. You'll learn to like the disk image then burn process.

Help Please: how can I burn a dvd movie without a theme?
I know this has been asked before. But none of the previous answers/suggestions seem to work. I've tried to use the "looping" method from the help menu, I still get a theme, now at the end of my video "package". And it doesn't "loop". I've tried to take a jpeg from photos and cover the theme using the option key, but that doesn't work either. I just want to have the option to be able to "turn off" the themes and create a clean video dvd for people who don't have time to choose on-screen buttons. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide
Hey maybe you can help me. I was trying to figure out how to burn an iPhoto slideshow on iDVD, but don't want to use the lame Apple themes. I went to the link you pointed out about one-step iDVD's, but the problem is you have to have a movie, and iPhoto won't let me export my slideshow while keeping the music in sync. Insane.
So two questions... do you know how to export a slideshow to .M4V or .MOV without losing the sync between all the pictures and the music? I've got 88 slides all set to specific timing and Ken Burns effect, but every time I do an export the music becomes disconnected from the pictures and goes out of sync.
I did do an export to iDVD and it seemed to stay in sync but I can't figure out how to get rid of the ridiculous theme that iDVD is automatically using. I don't want a theme at all.
When is someone at Apple going to figure out that most people just want a plain wrapper?

Hi apple users, I am in need of your expertise. I have a mov file and mp4 file which I need converted to DVD. However IDVD quality is terrible and wondering if anyone can help!?
I created project in iMovie then exported it to MP4 and also MOV file at highest definition possible + I added it to iDVD and had a number issues about encoding errors regarding the mp4 file. MOV worked but the quality was terrible.....

On both a MacBook Pro, an Acer laptop and my Mac Tower. I would love to think that it is a problem with the playback system, and that if I merely send the file off to the duplicator they won't have the same problem. Maybe that is the case...I don't know if I have a choice rather than sending it off to see. But it happens in the same spots, in the same way, on all three of the players so I'm a little reluctant to have faith.

Of course, but in the case there is no more 'original project.' It is gone like the wind, stolen along with his computer and backups.
I think I am stuck using one of two files as my master: a DVD he burned where I only see the stutter/vibration/jitter once, or the mpeg2 file where I see it three times. Hopefully, the duplication house can rip if off of one of them and not see the jitter. I know that in audio, my personal filed, you can do a lot to enhance already existing sound--EQ, compression, tape saturation emulation software, etc. I guess I'm hoping there is some kind of analog to the video world that address jitter after a source has been printed--if indeed the source has been printed to be jittery.

The many "failed" warnings that etrecheck sometimes spews mean nothing. Those warnings are not a reason to reinstall the OS, or to do anything else at all. They should be ignored.
The better your description of the problem, the better the chance of a solution.
For example, if the computer is slow, which specific actions are slow? Is it slow all the time, or only sometimes? What changes did you make, if any, just before it became slow? Have you seen any alerts or error messages? Have you done anything to try to fix it? Most importantly, do you have a current backup of all data? If the answer to the last question is "no," back up now. Ask if you need guidance. Do nothing else until you have a backup. -
Fixed Field Movements with SAP New GL
Good morning,
I have added 2 new fields into FAGLFLEXA/T, these fields are standard into table BSEG and I want them to be active into the leading ledger.
I tried to mapp these fields using "Fixed Field Movements mapping" (transaction GCI4, table T800M, from table ACCIT_GLX) but the update does not work...
Do you know If what I try to do is possible with new GL? If yes what else should be done to activate the update of the fields?

2)Activate Document Splliting PATH---- Financial Accounting(New)>GLA(NEW)>Business Transaction >Document Splliting>Activate Document Splliting. ( ALWAYS SEE THE TICK ON THE INHERITANCE )-YOU USE THIS DOCUMENT TO ACTIVATE THE ACCOUNT ASSIGNMENT INHERITANCE IN DOCUMENT SPLITTING.

I am not done with the program but I get errors that I am not sure how to fix them. I was wondering if anyone can help me solve the problem.
This program is a quiz program and has to handle 3 subjects. The user is able to select from these 3 categories. The program presents 3 questions and has to provide 4 option for each question. One would be to exit from the quiz. If the user responds to a question correctly, the program displays a positive feedback message. If the user responds incorrectly to the question, the program displays the correct answer. Exiting the questions menu returns the student to the topics menu. At the end of the quiz, the program displays the total number of correct and incorrect answers for each topic. Have a counter to count the correct answers.

My iMac WiFi is extremely slow!!! Help me fix
I have tried so many things to get my WiFi to run faster than what it is now, It's physically making me impatient. I have done a internet speedtest from the mac and the results are -
Ping - 51ms
Download speed - 0.09mbps
Upload speed - 0.49mbps
I even made a youtube video on what is actually happening.

What I don't understand is, Why is my macs WiFi so terrible? It's fully connected to the internet.
I have updated the mac and it didn't seem to change in its perfomance.
The iMac is new and it runs everything nice, just the internet is slow as anything.
Now, Let me compare the results to my pc.
Ping - 50ms
Download speed - 3.66 mb/s
Upload speed - 0.778 mb/s
And now my ipad -
Download speed 3.21 mb/s
Upload speed 0.686 mb/s
All these tests were done when there was only ONE device connected to the internet.
Please, Help me fix my problem! I can't even load apples website without waiting 20 minutes!I spoke to apple yesterday and they run me through a few simple steps.
First I removed all my cables which powers my iMac and I then left the cables unplugged for 15 seconds, After the 15 seconds I reconnected the cables and waited 5 seconds before switch on.
Now, I was instructed to press the following keys.
cmd , alt , R , P
I hold those keys as my mac switches on and you have to keep hold of them until you hear the macs power up sounds twice. Once you hear it twice, let go of the keys you held down whilst you turned on your iMac. I then got told to skip the options what were given to me in the start of turning on the mac, Kind of like factory settings.
I was then told to change my DNS to 8.8.8.8 and save.
Once the DNS was changed I had no improvement in my internet speed what so ever. Now, I was then told to make a test account (login) which had no programs installed the the login. No change again...
The problem is NOT the iMac, It's the router. Because of my router being old'sh and so on, My mac isn't getting the right internet speeds because the firmwire is not up to date with the iMac.
As I spoke to my internet provider Orange or EE (whatever they call themselves now) They said lots of mac and apple users always seem to have problems with old routers. So they're sending me a new one.
My garunteed fix is for the new internet modem to make my connection problems go away.
So guys, if anyone is having the same problem as me, Ring your internet provider BEFORE you ring apple. It will save you time as you have to wait a few days for apple to ring your mobile/phone.

Not sure what you mean by this? If you've downloaded a Movie, then it will be installed on your iPad (if downloaded to your iPad of course) and it will play from the iPad as is.
If this doesn't help, please provide more info about what you are trying to do.

Creating a movie without a theme and no glitches?
I was able to create a movie without a theme by following the iDVD help menu. However, at the end of the movie the theme Revolution appears as a static image. I don't want to loop movie, only play it to the end. How do I get rid of thid Revolution image? I tried to delete it from the Map but no go. Any suggestions?

Do I have to buy the movie in order to watch it without an internet connection?Please be aware of the movie rental's time limitation that you have 30 days from the time of rental to watch your movie, and once you start watching it, you have 24 hours to finish watching it. You may watch it as many times as you like during those 24 hours. It may be helpful to make sure the download completes successfully before you begin watching the movie.
Once the download is complete you can watch it without an Internet connection. However, an Internet connection to the iTunes Store is required to authorize playback or activate the 24 hours time-limit of movie rentals. This means, only during the starting of the movie. Once you have started playing the movie rental, internet connection is not required. You can play anywhere without internet connection.

iMac froze after accidentally dropping hundreds of jpegs in desktop.......need help to fix.....desktop filled now..thanks
Important: mende's suggestion will remove everything from your Desktop, not just the jpegs. Not good. Do the following instead. Open Terminal in Utilities and copy/paste, then hit return after each. The second will create a folder on the Desktop called "photos." The third command will move all of them into that new folder, "photos" This will save them. These commands assume you are logged into the account with the troubled Desktop.
cd ~/Desktop
mkdir photos
mv *.jpg photos/
If you don't care about saving them then the following will delete them. (It is critical that you only use copy/paste.)
cd ~/Desktop
rm *.jpg
