"Your request produced an error.  [newNullResponse]"

I have a "Your request produced an error. [newNullResponse]" when I opened iCloud in my System Preferences and now I can't close it or shut down my computer. Even when I let my mac run out of power it's still there!

Did you try force quitting all running apps, then restarting your Mac?  (An app is running if you see a highlight just under the app icon on the bottom edge of the dock.)

    I''ve may found a bit of solution to help you.Recently I've encoutered this problem.Heres the way to try.It works for me on ipad mini ios 6.1.3:
    1.Close the appstore.(open multitasking bar and execute it by pressing the appstore icon until it wiggles)
    2.Go into setting>iTunes&appstore.
    3.Sign out from your apple ID.
    4.Turn off the iDevice(shut it down for a few minutes)
    5.Turn on iDevice.
    6.Try open Appstore.
    7.If it works,you can sign in again!

    Recently, something changed such that some URL links that you get from Copy Link no longer work on Mac/Windows iTunes clients, though they seem to work from iPhone and iPad. I'm 95% sure these links worked all fall.
    Here's an example.

    If one tries this link on a Mac, one gets:
    Your request produced an error.
    [newNullResponse]
    Just clicking within the iTunes client works fine.

    I tried creating a new Collection, and moving the content to the new collection. Same problem.

    Also, if that doesn't work, try this:
    First you need to create another App Store iTunes account with a different country. (If you're American, do Canadian and vice versa)
    When you sign out then sign in under the new account, it will say that your account only works in USA and to change the store. Once it does that your top 25 will be changed back to top apps and you'll get no more errors. Then you can change back to your normal account.
    You can create another account free. Do it through iTunes on your computer or Mac. Change the country at the bottom of the App Store. Try and download a Free app. That way you don't need a credit card.

  • CS4, Save PNG: "Could not complete your request. An error occurred."

    Using Fireworks CS4 (v10.0.3.011), when I have been working on an image for a long time, with a long undo history list, if I attempt to save the image as a PNG, I receive an error "Could not complete your request. An error occurred."
    I am on Windows XP SP3 (32-bit).  This error typically occurs when page file usage is around 2.4GB.
    If there is a limit to how much RAM/pagefile Fireworks can use, can a warning not be implemented?
    eg. you are about to pass the point of no return, at which stage your document will become unsaveable.
    Is there no way undo history can be purged while an image is open?
    This would dramatically reduce RAM/pagefile usage and potentially make the image saveable again.

    My OS is 10.4.11. on 2 GHz Intel iMac.
    I reread my orignial post and noticed a typo. I can save png's with PS "save for the web," but can't open those just-saved png files.
    I did lots of things before I noticed that the png wasn't working. Don't know which may have caused a problem. Likely things? Well, I added a plugin for Ico. format. I deleted it because I thought it might have caused the conflict.
    Assuming that was the problem, what can I do to restore the png file format?
    I don't have disk warrior. I did run the maintenance utility yesterday. It runs crons, clears caches, deletes cookies, that kind of stuff.
    I've never had a problem with it disabling plugins or causing any problems. Haven't run disk utility for a few weeks. Would that help?
    I didn't download the replace png plugin from Adobe, but the original wasn't working anyway. I looked for a backup on the exernal drive, didn't find one, and downloaded another.
    Next, I did a Photoshop reinstall thinking that might fix the problem, but it didn't.  Which plugin folder should the png plugin be place in. I've never been sure why there are two format folders;  the folder in plugins, and the folder in Photoshop only.

I have had this problem multiple times and itunes support has always been able to help correct the problem, but now that my ipod is out of the one year warrenty period, they suddenly don't know what to do and blame it on windows vista and norton antivirus programs(SHOCKING!)I can get to the I tunes store and browse music, but when I attempt to purchase a song, it takes me to the terms of aggreement page and once I agree, it takes me to another error page. I also cannot view my account and get the 2001 error message when I try to authorize my computer. I have checked and double checked all of my firewall setings, internet settings, security settings, etc.. I even completely removed all noroton security programs from my computer. WHen I run a diagnostics test it states that I am connected to the internet and the store as well and that all is well, but alas, I still cannot download songs. I am no computer genuis and therefore would appriciate any advice! I have not been able to get any new tunes for almost a week now and am very unhappy with this situation!!! HELP!!!!

    I am having the same issues but I have McAfee. I use to be able to download music with no issue and then recently I cannot download anything. Everything comes up error -50. I also disable all firewalls and check all connectivity but nothing they suggest works??? Any suggestions or a better site to buy music from?

    After upgrading my MacBook Pro to Mavericks (OSX 10.9) and after starting the App store > Updates icon I am getting a message inside the App store window:
    Your request produced an error.
    [newNullResponse]
    When clicking to other icons, the App store gets stack on the message:
    Connecting to the iTunes Store. Loading ... To use the Mac App Store, you need Mac OS 10.6.6 or greater.
    Also, I cannot sign in to App store via Store menu > Sign in dialog - it hangs on trying to verify the the password. Or, if I try to create a new account it goes back to "Loading ... " message.
    iTunes works with no problems as well as App store on my other computer with Mountain Lion and on my iPhone - so my app store account is OK. Time/date/time zone is correct, Keychain has no errors, certificates seems OK (all set to default) Internet connection is OK, Safari cache cleared, ...
    any ideas?

    Worked for me finally, here's what I did (taking into account previous posters, but changing slightly):
    1) Quit App Store
    2) Go to Activity Monitor (Utilites Folder), and search for "store". You need to Force Quit the following:
         A) com.apple.appstore.Plugin..., then select Quit, then select FORCE QUIT
         B) storeagent, then select Quit, then select FORCE QUIT
    3) Go to Terminal (Utilities Folder), and type:
    rm ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.appstore.plist
    press enter
    rm ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.storeagent.plist
    press enter
    rm -rf ~/Library/Preferences/ByHost/*
    press enter
    4) Open App Store, you're done!

    Please read this whole message before doing anything.
    This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
    Step 1
    The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
    Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
    While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
    Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
    After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
    *Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
    Step 2
    The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
    Please take this step regardless of the results of Step 1.
    Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
    Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
    Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
    The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
    Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
    After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2.
