Your View: widgets don't minimize.

Hi,
I'm currently using Chrome. When I set up a widget in Your View and set it to Minimize this Widget, it does it in preview but does not stay minimized when published. Is this expected behaviour?

I've used similar systems to create layouts <cough>sharepoint for example</cough> and these allow for user minimization of the widgets when the layout is set. To allow minimzation just in edit mode doesn't make sense to me...

Help! My Today view Widgets are not working properly!

I have an iPhone 6 Plus on iOS 8.1 and I thought upgrading from 8.0.2 would fix this problem but it didn't. My Today widgets don't seem to work properly. The Yahoo Weather widget is empty and randomly flashes what it is supposed to display correctly, but for like half a second before becoming blank again.
The Reminders widget doesn't even show up even though there should be 2 reminders. The weather information in the Today Summary doesn't appear either. I've tried installing Wdgts and only half of the widgets show up even though I've selected all of them.
Is there a fix for this or is this a known bug? I've tried restarting the phone and what not, but the same problem is still persisting.

Looking at IIS I can see all of the files in the list below so it appears to have uploaded correctly. Are your
scripts Java scripts with .js extensions? If so then I am wondering if this may help you -

But this does not help me obvs, as the point of using Muse is that I do not have the expertise to go in and hand hack the code. Otherwise I probably wouldn't be using Muse right?

I did encounter the System Preferences applet you mentioned when trying to resolve the problem. It turns out that the applet isn't particularly reliable. It also doesn't address the "Access Forbidden" issue. At least that was the case for me.
I ended up using the Terminal / Unix solution presented above and am now back in business.
My beef with Apple isn't that the functionality can't be reenabled after applying some degree of work. It's more of a philosophical thing with me. People migrated from DOS to Windows and from Windows to Mac in search of simplicity. They wanted to get things done quickly and easily. To ask users to type in a bunch of arcane command line garbage just to host a local web site is crazy enough, but what makes this particular failure so reprehensible is that a perfectly functional user interface was ALREADY AVAILABLE. Some nitwit at Apple made a decision to remove that user interface and replace the functionality with a command line. That's just inexcusable. What's next? Will they ditch Pages and force people to use Unix VI editor for writing things? Why stop there? If they really want to go for the full 1990's experience, will the next edition of OSX block access to the Ethernet port and force us to use dial-up modems?
It's too bad Steve Jobs isn't still around to smack the originator of this half-brained scheme upside the head.

Html Content Viewer Widget

Hello Friends,
Is there any Html Content Viewer Widget Available in Indesign Sdk.
As a user, I should be able to download any webPage of given URL and display in the html content viewer of Indesign.
If anybody knows the solution please help me

For this you will have to give an implementation of the browser in InDesign.
As rightly pointed out you will have to use Webkit on a MAC and I.E. on Win.

I don't really think so. But lots of people are disturbed by even small scratches, so get one. The bit you don't want to scratch is the screen, but it's pretty scratch resistant. If you want, you could get a cover for this bit only:

Yes you will, as the headphone recess is non-standard. Griffin and Belkin make adapters you can use.

"Your View" Anomalies

Hi,
Okay, I'm trying, but failing to like the new layout, like others have said - too much white space, and way too much scrolling.
I've tried to customise my view, but have hit a few snags that maybe someone here can help me with.
First, can someone explain what's going on here - I've tried decreasing the font size (I'm using Safari) to no avail.
Next, why is it that when I open the discussions (or whatever this rebrand is called) page in the "All Content" view I am presented with this:
and yet when I add the "Places" widget in the "Your View" pane, I am presented with this:
Did I mention how much I hate scrolling!!
On a positive note, I love how easy they've made it to add these pics.

Hi dbh97,
You are able to select which community the widget shows the Top Participants for.
You can do that by clicking the upsidown triangle in the upper right hand corner of the widget and select Edit this widget:
Then click on Apple Support Communities under Place:
You can then start typing the name of a community and it will start to show there. Please keep in mind, you must select a sub-community, like Using iPhone in order to see the top participants in that community. You cannot set this widget to iPhone, as no discussions live in the iPhone parent community.

POLL: How long does it take your Translator Widget to translate?

My translator widget keeps bugging out on me. I can't figure out if it's a localized issue, or something remote (on Systran's end).
How long does your translator widget take to translate something?
Under a clean install, the translator widget works almost instantly as I type, and when I click the switch button it instantly switches the lanugages and their text around.
After only a short time, the widget starts to get pissy, and takes about 15 seconds after I've typed something and pressed the switch button to output anything.
What is everyone else dealing with?

I frankly suspect this has a lot more to do with the performance of the servers SysTran is devoting to users of the Translation widget than a problem with the widget itself. SysTran may also be looking at the incoming IP address and if you're sending multiple requests, your priority may go down as your number of requests increases.

View widgets in full screen

Is it possible to view widgets in full screen. I have only been able to get the half screen presentation. That is very cluttered and small for my older eyes. Of course, I can click on pictures within updates and see those full screen, but I am talking about the top level facebook page for example.

Not vision impaired, just getting older. I just do not like the distraction of having something happening on the left hand side of the screen. This makes the facebook widget unattractive to me. I will just continue to use the computer instead of the TV. Maybe a future enhancement?

What can be done to minimize the grotesque Edge Enhancement?!

Hello everyone. I have been experimenting all week long with exporting projects from CS5 Premiere Pro (all eithe DSLR HD or 1080p scanned from film) and then burning DVD's in Encore. I'm trying to use the highst bit rates posible and multiple passes in encoding.
Somwehere along the way Edge Enhancement is being added. It is grotesque. When I play back the DVD's on my 65 inch TV they look terrible. EE everywhere (it is not added by the TV. I disabled EE in the service menu. It's completely shut off).
What can be done to minimize this? I'd appreciate some pointers.

Can you post a screenshot of what you are seeing? I assume you can see it on computer playback as well.
How are you transcoding? In Encore, or from Premiere/AME? Automatic? (in Encore only), or selectihng settings? If the latter, what are they?
Some users believe that CS5 is doing an okay job of downrezing for DVD. Others believe it is better to do it from Premiere/AME. In answering the above, you'll probably answer that issue as well.

Validation widget don't work in regions?

Is it true, Validation Widget don't work in regions? If I
create a text validation widget, then wrap it in a region for xml
data, the validation no longer functions for the widget. Is there
something I'm missing here, or does it simply not work in that
configruation?

Hi Nathan,
There is a workaround to have the validation widgets working
inside a spry:region.n
The reason why they don't work inside a region is because the
spry region removes anything from page when it is created. In this
way, the widget remains somewhere in the memory instantiated and
will search from an element that no longer exists.This will make
the widget to not function properly.
You should do the following to have the widgets working
inside a spry:region.
- add the widgets' constructors instantiation inside the
region
- make an extra check if the widgets already exist and
destroy them if any. I

Eric,
It's a great idea to go ahead and roll out any of the Fusion Middleware products (including FI). By doing this you not only move towards a more SOA-based architecture but you are also preparing your environment for Fusion APPLICATIONS which are built on the Fusion Middleware tech stack.
By going ahead and using Fusion Middleware, your transition to Fusion Apps (if you so choose to move in that direction) will be a lot easier.

If it is asking for the screen-lock passcode then:
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

Dashboards - Alert View Widget Column Width

Hello, I am trying to create some Dashboards using the Alert Widgets. I am having problems with the column width. The default widths are not useful and take up to much screen space for a dashboard (example" Maintenance mode is really wide just for
a icon). After I create the Dashboard I can adjust the column width just fine, but as soon as I go to another view and come back SCOM forgets how I had it all configured and resizes it back to default. How do I fix this and get it to save my custom widths?

It is because every time you go back to Alert View Widget, it will reload its original configuration. You can modify the orgininal configuration setting by export the MP, contains the Alert view Widget, and modify its XML file.
The column width setting is under
Presentation -> Component Overrides -> ComponentOverrideID -> Bindings -> Binding PropertyID="Columns" -> Complex Value Type(select the coumn which you want to set the column width) --> Binding Property ID="Width" -> SimpleValue Value="12"
( 12 is the new column width)
