YouTube Account and My Videos

Seriously? Apple TV allows you to log into your YouTube account and view your favorites and your subscriptions, but NOT YOUR OWN VIDEOS????? Are you kidding me? I guess if you subscribe to yourself... Seems stupid to me.

I don't see any reason you can't watch your own videos unless of course you tube hasn't yet processed them for use with the Apple tv. The Apple tv doesn't use the standard you tube site for video and relies on you tube processing your video in another format.

I can't log into my YouTube account and each time I try the screen turns black, says "connection not trusted" and doesn't allow me the option to add exception like it normally does when I recieve this message trying to log into a website.

I just got new ATT dsl internet service. Now, when I try and log into my YouTube account and numerous other websites, instead of logging me in, the screen turns black with a message displayed saying, "connection not trusted." On most sites, it will give me the option to either, "get me out of here" or "I understand the risks, allow exception." When I try logging into YouTube, the only option I have is; "get me out of here!"

Check the date and time in the clock on your computer: (double) click the clock icon on the Windows Taskbar.

You can retrieve the certificate and check who issued the certificate and other details like when it is valid.
* Click the link at the bottom of the error page: "I Understand the Risks"
Let Firefox retrieve the certificate: "Add Exception" -> "Get Certificate".

YouTube account and iPhone question

I have several playlists of videos saved on my YouTube account that I have set up on my pc at home. I can log into YouTube at home and my video playlists are saved, which is great. I tried logging into my YouTube account on my 3gs to access those videos, but they are not saved in my account. I figured that a YouTube account could be accessed anywhere, so what am I doing wrong?

Not sure, but note that not all YouTube videos are available on the iPhone. When you access YouTube on your computer, you are viewing Flash video. Since the iPhone doesn't support Flash, the YouTube app accesses a subset of YouTube videos that have been re-coded as h.264 for the iPhone.
Try one of the 'Most Viewed' videos accessed from the iPhone. Add that to your playlist _on the computer_ and see if it shows up on the phone.

Each time I attempt to log into my YouTube account, StarlasNana, the screen changes to, "connection not trusted" and will not let me add exception the way it does on most sites.

Does iOS 7's Safari Convert Youtube Flash and HTML5 Videos to Quicktime? How Is it Playing?

Hi. It's good to see Safari (I have iOS 7) playing videos on sites like Youtube. Is it converting Flash and HTML5 to Quicktime or is the video playing because it's only using HTML5? How does Safari go about playing Youtube and Flash videos? Apple has solved the Flash for mobile problem then?

there is no flash for mobile problem since adobe has discontinued flash for any mobile device.
Safari is not converting anything.
HTML5 facilitates streaming video in a format that ios devices can natively play(mp4).
Youtube/google is putting stuff up in html5.

Will deleting my you tube app affect my youtube accounts becuase since uploading the latest Apple update, everytime I go to click on something on my youtube page, it switches to the app and then comes back and opens up another tab and never did that

I am having a problem with my youtube account, as since updating to iOS 8.3, the other day, every time I go to my youtube account and click on anything there by opening up a tab, it always goes to the youtube app and then goes back and opens a new tab. Everytime I have updated, it seems to get worse not better. One other thing that happened that has not been fixed yet when I updated a while ago, was that when you have many tabs open and go back and forth between them, it aleays reloads and does not stay the way you left it. Wish Apple would get it right and especially with youtube issues. So my question regarding my youtube account would be if I can delete the youtube app, without affecting my account.

If you delete the YouTube app you will not be affecting your YouTube account. You can always reinstall it & see if that fixes the problem.
As far as Safari pages reloading between tabs, I have also noticed the issue after iOS 8 on my iPad 2. Updating to the latest iOS on older devices can see a degradation in performance within certain apps due to the limitations of those devices.
We made the choice to update & with the many benefits of the latest & greatest iOS there are bound to be some problems too,

I cannot log in to my YouTube account?

Since I installed Firefox on my PC more than a month ago, I cannot log in to my YouTube account, and cannot watch any videos there. I get an error message, telling me connection to this site (something like that) has failed, you can "retry" it again. Nothing come of it when I retry. This is very frustrating and I'm close to giving up on Firefox as a result. Please help.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

If clearing cookies doesn't work then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies is corrupted.

Premiere Elements 11: More than one Youtube account

I'm a beginner with Adobe Premiere Elements.
My problem:
I manage for 3 NGOs 3 different Youtube-Accounts. When I did the first YT-Upload from APE11 I set one YT-Account. But now I want to upload to another YT-account. Where can I change the YT-Login-Data in APE11?
Second question:
Which settings are the best for saving YT-videos if I don't use the direct upload with APE11?

With three accounts, rather than going into settings and changing things each time that you want to use a different account, I would instead just Export/Share to the proper file, and then manually upload that to YouTube through the appropriate account, and not bother doing it directly from PrE. I do not know of any way to set up multiple YouTube accounts, and then access them individually, via a drop-down, on some other function.

Why can't i sign into my YouTube account?

I have created two accounts and everytime i try to log into my account (in the Youtube app built into the iOS) and everytime i do a message pops up saying the account isn't valid!!! What do i have to do to fix this?

Reset Safari, but it wont sign out of Youtube account?

So I have a youtube account, and upload media, and answer messages regularly on a shared computer.
I sign out of youtube, and reset safari "of which all reset option boxes are checked"
when I then go onto youtube again, I am still signed on! How the heck does that happen?
I thought reseting safari resets everything, all the cookies and viewed pages. I don't think it happens with any other websites... but still!
And again, all the "reset options" are checked, so it should be resetting every setting.
Please Help! I don't want the people who share my computer to have access to my media account.

it should be a cookie, which you can delete all of by quitting Safari & trashing
Home/Library/Cookies/Cookies.plist
I can't say why resetting wouldn't do the job though - but try removing manually then seeing if you're still signed in.

I just ordered UFC 165 through my Youtube account and was planning to watch it on my TV through Apple TV's Youtube channel. I can't find the main card link on the UFC channel on the Apple TV. Does it appear once the event starts?

Yes sorry, I can see that from your question title. Are you in the US? Ifv so movie redownloads should be available, but I believev some studios aren't onboard.
In iTunes, go to the Store home page - on the right in Quick Links is there a Purchased/Purchases section? If so check if you can download the movies from there.
If you can't see them go to expresslane.apple.com and raise a support ticket for iTunes store, asking them to enable download via iTunes.

YouTube subscriptions and favorites have disappeared

Im using an apple tv second generation with IOS 5.1.
Recently, when I log into my YouTube account, both the subscriptions and favorites are missing, and I get an error that says "no content found."
Or more specifically, for subscriptions it says:
"there are no subscriptions for this account on YouTube"
I checked my YouTube account, and subscriptions still work, and sharing buttons are all activated (I also shut them off and turned them back on, saving both times, to see if this would make a difference).
I've noticed there are a number of older threads complaining about this, and many seem to be associated with apple tv updates.
Does anyone know of a solution to this problem?

hello, such clean-up/tuning tools often do more harm than good. by default firefox will create a daily backup of your bookmarks for the 10 last days, which you can restore from within the bookmarks library. for more information about that, please see [[Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer]].
