YouTube Account in Widget

Hi,
I can launch the YouTube widget and have the Media Manager installed (just put on the latest version today). When I login to the YouTube widget with my YouTube account (on the TV) I get presented with three options to play some videos. The one I am really wanting to work is the playlist item.
It never finds any of my YouTube playlists however, that is the problem. Is this just something that the widget doesn't do and I am misunderstanding the reason to login with my YouTube account or is it just not working for me? It would be pretty cool to play my playlists on the TV from time to time.

It loads my play lists just fine , also plays them one after the other. But it has trouble loading private play lists so had to make them public on you tube

Do you have Google 2 stage authentication turned on?
If so, you wont't be able to use your normal google password, but will have to instead generate an "application specific" password for the iPad YouTube app in the google security settings section.

Oh, you mean on YouTube. I HAVE signed out of what appears to be the default account and UNchecked the 'stay signed in' box; and then signed IN to the account I want it to go to. Still no luck

I can not sign in to Youtube account using Appletv. It just stopped accepting my password.

My appletv worked great....now it won't let me sign in to my Youtube account. It keeps saying that "The account name or password was incorrect,please try again". But I know for certain that it is correct! It is the same password I use for my laptop and iphone to log in to Youtube. What must I do to correct this??

To get the e-mail mentionned by carbon_dragon in the post, go to your YouTube account page. From there click on YouTube settings by clicking on the drop down box with the gear icon on the box to the left of your YouTube account name along the top of the screen. This should bring you to the Overview screen of your account settings in YouTube. Once there, click on "Advanced" under your YouTube name. This will take you to a page that has a section entitled "Account information." There you will see an e-mail address. A long e-mail address. This is the address you will use. What worked for me was to remove the YouTube account that was on my Apple TV. Then I entered the e-mail address--the long e-mail address -- into the log-in on the Apple TV. After that, I entered the YouTube password I've been using for the account that had stopped working in my Apple TV. And voila! it worked.

How come i can sign into my youtube account on safari but not the youtube app?

i had an old youtube account i was using on my iphone, but i created a g-mail account and instead of merging the two i created a new youtube account using my gmail account. now i can sign into youtube on safari, (after i used the 2-step verification on my gmail account) but i cant sign into the youtube app now with my new account

hello, please also make sure that in particular youtube.com & accounts.google.com are allowed to set cookies (at least for the session)...

I upgraded my ipad to iOS 5.1. However, my Youtube favorites are missing. These are favorites saved on the iPad, not on the youtube account.

I have tried restarting the iPad several times to no avail. The favorites seems to be still on the iPad, since when I try to add a video that used to be on the list, that option is greyed out indicating that the computer knows that this is a favorite video.

The problems reported here occurred right after updating to iOS according to the users as TD mentioned.
It's a compatibility problem between iPhoto and iOS6 that the only workaround would be to possibly batch change the date of the photos in iPhoto . Therefore we'll have to wait for it to be fixed with either an iPhoto update or an iOS update, which ever Apple feels is the proper item to to be changed.
If they update iPhoto first (which is probably what they'll do) it'll be called an iPhoto problem.

This youtube account cannot be used with apple tv

I cannot view youtube on my apple tv. It worked a couple of weeks ago but now does not. I tried to log into youtube on apple tv and get the message that "this youtube account cannot be used with apple TV. Anyone know the problem?

Establish a Google+ channel. Then be sure your ATV has the latest update. This worked for me last week.

Has anyone else had trouble connecting their YouTube account to the Apple TV?

My YouTube account is connected to my Gmail account. I never set up a second YouTube account with a username, etc. When I try to log in to the AppleTV YouTube app, it says "this type of account cannot be used." I'm not sure what the issue is. Can anyone help?

You have to go into your Gmail account settings.
Then Security.
Then turn ON 2-Step Verification
Follow the instructions to link a cell phone to your google account. They will text you a secondary code and once you've entered that your 2-step verification will be set up.
Then you should have the option on the bottom of the page to add a device. Call it apple tv and then it will generate a secondary code specifically for your Apple TV.
On the Apple TV itself, ultimately I think you have to enter just the first part of your e-mail address (before the @gmail.com) as your Youtube login username.
Then you should enter your gmail account password.
Apple TV will tell you it is incorrect.
Then, retry and enter the long secondary password that google generated for the apple tv.
That should do it.

Trying to export from FCP 10.0.9 to YouTube, I get error message: no linked youtube account. It worked until yesterday, then stopped working. I tried changing passwords and accounts, but no help.

This is the story. Up until two days ago, when I completed a video project in Final Cut Pro 10.0.9, I went to file->share->YouTube and a window opened up that showed the name of my YouTube account - (e.g., account.name) which is the same as the name of my gmail account. I then clicked 'next' and was asked for the password for that account. Upon supplying that and clicking next/publish, the uploading began.
Then suddenly, this procedure no longer worked. When I supplied the password, I got a message saying:
'NoLinkedYouTubeAccount'. Following online advice, I changed my account name from account.name to [email protected] and supplied the password. Still no good. I then changed the password in that account and tried both ways again. Still no good. I then opened up a new gmail account with a new password and tried that both ways. Still no good. I've tried following other online advice but nothing works. When I go to youTube, I see both accounts listed so they are there but the link doesn't get made. I've tried uploading several different videos, but it makes no difference. The videos I've uploaded previously to YouTube are there and functioning OK.
Help would be much appreciated!

It would seem to be something at the system level since all the user-specific fixes appear to have had no effect. And you've already tried a comprehensive list of the suggestions that I would have thought of…and probably more.
You didn't mention available disk space but I assume you checked that as well and you have at least 15% free on your start-up and media drives.
Has any version of FCPX performed for you as expected in the past?
When you uninstalled the app, by any chance did you use FCS Remover? If you didn't, give it a try.

Will deleting my you tube app affect my youtube accounts becuase since uploading the latest Apple update, everytime I go to click on something on my youtube page, it switches to the app and then comes back and opens up another tab and never did that

I am having a problem with my youtube account, as since updating to iOS 8.3, the other day, every time I go to my youtube account and click on anything there by opening up a tab, it always goes to the youtube app and then goes back and opens a new tab. Everytime I have updated, it seems to get worse not better. One other thing that happened that has not been fixed yet when I updated a while ago, was that when you have many tabs open and go back and forth between them, it aleays reloads and does not stay the way you left it. Wish Apple would get it right and especially with youtube issues. So my question regarding my youtube account would be if I can delete the youtube app, without affecting my account.

If you delete the YouTube app you will not be affecting your YouTube account. You can always reinstall it & see if that fixes the problem.
As far as Safari pages reloading between tabs, I have also noticed the issue after iOS 8 on my iPad 2. Updating to the latest iOS on older devices can see a degradation in performance within certain apps due to the limitations of those devices.
We made the choice to update & with the many benefits of the latest & greatest iOS there are bound to be some problems too,

Now, when I try and log into my YouTube account and numerous other websites, instead of logging me in, the screen turns black with a message displayed saying, "connection not trusted." I cannot log in to my YouTube account?

Since I installed Firefox on my PC more than a month ago, I cannot log in to my YouTube account, and cannot watch any videos there. I get an error message, telling me connection to this site (something like that) has failed, you can "retry" it again. Nothing come of it when I retry. Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

If clearing cookies doesn't work then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookie files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox Profile Folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

Can't sign in to YouTube account via YouTube app on iPhone4

I saw a few posts from a year ago - not sure if there are any updates or changes.
I would really like to be able to access my personal YouTube account using the YouTube app on my iPhone4, but everytime I try to sign in, I repeatedly get the same message: "Authentication Failed The username or password you entered is incorrect."
I understand that I linked my YouTube account to my Google account (I was forced to), I've even tried new password, old password, YouTube account name, google account name...nothing works - I get the same thing each time...
I also can't seem to log in to my account via Safari on my iPhone - I followed the instructions on the YouTube help page and went through Safari to try that, but when I try to log in, it tells me, "This account is already linked to a different Google username."...But I've double checked on line, can't figure out what the issue is...help??? Anyone???

Premiere Elements 11: More than one Youtube account

I'm a beginner with Adobe Premiere Elements.
My problem:
I manage for 3 NGOs 3 different Youtube-Accounts. When I did the first YT-Upload from APE11 I set one YT-Account. But now I want to upload to another YT-account. Where can I change the YT-Login-Data in APE11?
Second question:
Which settings are the best for saving YT-videos if I don't use the direct upload with APE11?

With three accounts, rather than going into settings and changing things each time that you want to use a different account, I would instead just Export/Share to the proper file, and then manually upload that to YouTube through the appropriate account, and not bother doing it directly from PrE. I do not know of any way to set up multiple YouTube accounts, and then access them individually, via a drop-down, on some other function.
