Okay, I have Adobe Flash Player 10.1 but I cant watch youtube videos.....still, please help
You can check to see if you have phone insurance on your bill, or in your My Verizon Account online. I have the Flash player installed and have reinstalled it. I have also reinstalled Firefox 6.From what I can tell, the problem is not Silverlight, it is the flash plugin (10.3). I uninstalled and went back to FLASH 10.1 and Netflix, flash videos, flash based applications, etc all worked again on my brand new computer. Very unfortunate and frustrating.

That is my system info ~ my firewall is open and I have no anti-virus software installed.
On Netfilx, when I click Play on an Instant movie, a screen comes up that tells me there is an upgrade for Silverlight. Click the button, go thru what looks like a full install series of windows, go back to click Play, and the same screen comes up. It has happened for the last 48 hours or so, consistently. I opened Chrome and Safari, had the same result.
A Ustream site I follow, also using a Mac, has been getting kicked off that system all day, getting an error message that references Adobe Flash Player ~ he just upgraded, like I did, and wonders if there is a problem with it ~ got me thinking...

HAVE flash installed. I was using Kuler all day yesterday.
Suddenly this "you don't have flash installed" message has
appeared. I installed it again anyway. And yet I'm still getting
that message.
I'm running Firefox 2.0.0.4, Windows XP (SP2). Nothing was
changed, installed, or uninstalled since I used Kuler in Firefox
last night. But when I loaded it up this morning, I got the error.
If I try to open it in IE6, it loads fine. Could there be
something wrong in the script that checks to see if flash is
installed on the Adobe end? Is anyone else having this problem in
Firefox?
edit: I just loaded two other sites with flash in Firefox
that load fine.Well, believe it or not, in the time since I posted this
morning and now, my PC got replaced by IT (not complaining, mind
you), and everthing's working fine. No idea if it was a problem on
my end or your end, but from my perspective, it's resolved now.
Still, kind of odd the way it loaded differently from last
night (fine in FF) to first thing this morning (error in FF,
working fine in IE) to later this morning (only loading part in
both IE and FF, and the parts that loaded were different, to an
extent). -

After clicking Safari prompt box to "Download Flash..." , I'm linked to the Adobe Flash Player Download page. I click the "Download Now". The page advance to next page in the download process but then immediately goes black and nothing happens. System preferences firewall is off and apps are allowed from anywhere and in Safari other plug ins are allowed and cookies are not blocked and pop up windows are not blocked. Why won't Flash Player download?
Don't DL Flash from web sites. If you have Adobe Flash installed it should be in System Preferences and you can find the latest version and download from there.
If you are installing for the first time,this is where to DL it.

recently certain video or pictorial attachments to my e-mails be opened because the system requires the installation of the Adobe Flash player with Java plug-ins. The message also gives a link for installation. It appears to install but nothing really happens. Then the message advises that it will install automatically once security is uninstalled or when Firefox is off. Nothing seems to work. Please help. P.S. I am trying to play some videos from the internet and I get the message "missing plug in". I click on the message and downlaod adobe flash player as prompted. When I log in again to play the videos, I still get the missing plug in message. Any suggestions??
that used to happen to me all the time! I would recommend going to a different sight or attempting to download it again ( you may have missed a step it can be tricky).

Unable to install flash player. After downloading the Adobe FLash Player Installer and running it, a grey pop up window opens up but nothing is displayed in it. There is no progress bar or anything and even after keeping it running for a long time there is no progress. Please help with this issue.

How to Disable the Adobe Flash Player and Reader Updates
Ok, For the last two months or so, I have been plagued by the Adobe Flash Player and Reader updater that will not go away. That's not the worst thing though: Somehow, someway, the Adobe updater subverts my entire windows 7 machine and makes itself the most important program on my system, stopping all other necessary functions. After I just turn it on, the updater will suspend all Windows operations in favor of the updater getting its message out the Adobe "needs" updating. I have tried updating the stupid thing, only to find that after the update goes in, my whole computer locks up and I have to load a system restore point. This thing acts like a virus, and until someone comes up with a way to make it work properly, that's what I'm calling: Adobe creates and sells a computer killing virus. I want a sure fire way to disable the updater that will work, and that will never bug me again about updating the virus. After going through three different computer repair companies, many online forums and chat rooms and my own knowledge of how to disable programs, I have instructed my firewall to block all attempts by Adobe to update. This has to stop.

Am I able to upgrade and Sync Adobe Flash Player 10 to the iPod Touch Safar
I have a faceBook account, on my faceBook in safari, not the faceBook App. from iTunes. There is a Game I play on FaceBook on my Mac in Safari but I can't Play it on my iPod Touch, it says in Safari that I have to upgrade and download the adobe Flash Player 10, I am not able to download the Flash Player on my iPod Touch of course but I am able to do so on my computer.

I did try downloading and installing the Flash Player 10 on my Computer and then Syncing my iPod Touch with my Mac but that didn't work.

Mrs. Trisha FosterAdobe Flash is not available for the iPod touch so there is no way to install it and play games written in Flash.

There are numerous untrustworthy 'update' sites like Cnet & Softonic, & many users won't know that one is to be trusted (so far) but not most of the others.

In general Adobe needs to offer Ubuntu (Linux) support. I don't use Windows anymore and will go with whatever company provides me the Plug In's I need to function. In this case at the current time, I can't use Adobe flash Player to view You Tube video's. I followed the link that helps a user fix the problem:

They didn't offer any help with Ubuntu 10.045 (Linux). Please offer the instructions and automatic (non-terminal) uninstaller. Also, I want an automatic installer for Ubuntu 10 (Linux) & Firefox 3.6 that is easy like like you have for Windows and like Sun's Java has for Linux.

The versions you are listing (10.0 r12, 10.0 r2) appear to be Shockwave Plauer versions, not Flash Player.
If you want to uninstall Flash Player, there should be an uninstaller in the install directory. I do not know where that is on Linux.
